Nice beautiful beach, just found restaurants and services to far away from the sand.

Nice and cozy beach. Not too crowded but the usual services available (sunbeds, parasol, restaurants, food stalls.. Quite clean. Sometimes nicely windy, so, surfing schools gather up for some surfing lessons and practice.

Beautiful public beach, especially during sunset. The beach loungers are not free though and if you want to stay there for the whole day, better get there in the early morning to secure them.

Best Beach to catch the Waves,Sunsets,volleyball, you name it… can find all the beach activities you need,go there for sunsets you won’t regret.

At the moment (August 2023) the beach is polluted. Water has two big oil stains on and beach is full of small tar drops. You step on it and you ruin your flip-flops or get a nasty stain on your foot, skin, clothes... Waves are high for most of the day so not really good for swimming and better for wind surfing.

Fantastic beach, kept very clean, life guards on duty and multiple trash cans for easy disposing of waste. The sand is very fine with real clean water, easily spend the entire day. They di have surf festivals and other live events some times do ask.

Very full at the moment, last year it was much quieter. You can go to the very right edge of the beach and it's a bit more relaxed with less people.

Not a lot of food and drink shop because in the other side of the beach is Club med hotel. The beach itself is beautiful and not too crowded.

A nice but a bit crowded beach. The south end of the beach has a lovely cafe and restro for amazing food and drinks. You can also snorkel on this side of the beach. Walking distance to all shops, groceries, cafés etc.

Beautiful sandy gentle sloping beach with great waves but so sad to see so much rubbish washed up particularly the centre section, both along the tide line and along the back of the beach (although naturally my pictures are trying to avoid it.)

great relaxing beach. perfect for families as the water is very calm. if you go to the far right, it’s a great spot to do some snorkelling. close to plenty of restaurants and pubs. small markets along the way if you want to do some shopping. definitely try out one of the pancake stands, they are delicious !! will definitely return to watch the sunset one night.

Kata beach is very good for family tour especially with children 'cause the beach here is more peaceful, also the area is not that big for wondering about. The night market&street is a good choice for dinner and it got a lot of choices.

Nice beach, alternative to Karon. In general, the beach has all the necessary infrastructure, many different options for food, desserts and drinks at the entrance, and a small parking lot. On the beach itself there are many sunbeds with umbrellas and chairs (the price is the same as on other beaches, 200 budd for an umbrella and 2 sunbeds). The sea is clean, the swimming area is fenced, the entrance is gentle, but closer to the right side of the beach there are many boats and diving is carried out, so it is better to swim in the middle. The bottom is practically empty, simple fish, crabs, mantis shrimp (in burrows), and sometimes jellyfish. From observations: if there are jellyfish and waves on Karon, then on Kata it can be much better, there will be fewer jellyfish on the right side of the beach, closer to the entrance. There is an island not far in the sea (the right side of the beach), on which there is a small reef, but it takes a long time to swim there, and boats will also interfere with swimming.

Nice beach, with a chair/umbrella rental opportunity (200B - 2 chairs and 1 umbrella). Fruit, drinks, coconuts are also available for fair prices. Sunsets are beautiful 🤩

Absolutely gorgeous place. Not for me during the day as its far too busy with tourists, I like walking the beach in the evening. Very clean.

Phuket beaches, in my opinion, are filthy, with a lot of trash on the beach and in the ocean. This Kata beach is one of those, but tourists continue to enjoy it. This beach is great for surfing, but be aware of the trash drifting around. Sunset is good here. The neighborhood is convenient with night market and food market on the main street, which is full of retailers, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants, it’s ideal for people who enjoy animation and live music.

Big beach with an umbrella wall in the first row. It is hard to put Your towel anywhere. A lot pf people and some long tail boats as well, quite noisy.

Not much beach left. The water and beach is really crowded and doesn’t give a relaxing vibe. Feels like being in a sardine can. Sunset is beautiful though.

It is a wide beach with good sand. The sand is a bit special. It's amazing that has a cushioned feel like stepping on memory foam , like walking on snow. I liked that feeling, so I walked a lot on the beach barefoot. However, depending on the season, transparent jelly-like jellyfish can be found all over the beach, so you need to be careful. Parasols can be used all day for a fee. There is also a massage shop, and the massage you get while listening to the sound of the waves is the best.

Great spot, with golden-colored and squeaky sand! You have to try this it’s really funny. Beyond that the sand is beautiful, same for the water. Super Long Beach so it doesn’t feel crowded. Lots of scooter parking spots just opposite the beach, and lots of people playing volley ball in the second half of the afternoon.

Nice and very long beach (almost 4 km I think) with crystal clear waters and white sand. Suitable for kids. The water is calm and hot.

A lovely beach to walk on during sunset. Away from the crowded and noisy beaches of Phuket, this one is a cozy and less crowded beach for an amazing beach outing. The streets facing the beach are dotted with up class restaurants serving delicious Thai and other cuisines. The beach front is natural and dotted with tree lines giving much needed shade and cover to the beach area. Also to mention a volleyball court with evening local groups playing the sport adjacent to the beach (in the beach area) for all the sports lovers.

One of my favorite beaches in Phuket. Beautiful beach from sunrise to sunset, you will feel safe because they have lifeguards, not so crowded unlike Patong beach, close to everything from Hotels, restaurants, bars, shopping area, pharmacy and many more.

Really nice beach. Not too crowded when we visited but the weather wasn't too nice so that might be why. There's free street parking Infront and many many restaurants around. Nice long beach for walking and swimming. Colour of water and sand is really nice even on a cloudy day. You can see the big buda from the beach.

Great beach with a lot of room to spread out if you don't want to be near others. Sunbed and shade is available for a few baht at 3 locations of the beach, the sand squeeks when you walk on it, sand is very fine, water is warm and good sunsets.

Beach is family-friendly and has golden fine sand that makes a funny sound while you're walking on it We enjoyed chilling here for hours. There are more people during sunset but it remains peaceful throughout the day. Some restaurants are available near the road.

One of the cleanest and nicest swimming beaches in Phuket. After the Tsunami, this stretch of beach was carefully restored and now has a beautiful promenade and great landscaping. There are only large hotels on most of the stretch of beach so there are less crowds except at both ends. Plenty of parking and easy access from the North and South. If coming in from the North of Phuket, you get your first glimpse of the Big Buddha at the start of this beach. Great public facilities including outdoor free to use gym equipment and community beach volley ball arenas. The usual para gliding, jet skiing and banana boat rides are available.

Absolute gem of a beach we stayed all day the sand is so white and soft and made even better the the sea , it were showing it power with waves but made the day enjoyable , all ages were bathing and swimming here , water sports are available, food and beverage also readily available. 2 beds and umbrella for 200baht or you can just lay on the top of the sand bank with your towels , a absolute perfect place to catch the sunset it does get busy but there is enough room if you coming to the area definitely drop in

Big waves, nice water quality. If you want a family swim better to go to kata Beach next door (2km away). Kata is sheltered so much better for kids.

If you think Patong is great then you haven’t seen Karon beach my friend. Look, I get it, party is fun but have you ever felt tranquility? Then better try the Karon beach experience. Better chilled crowd, better beach, blue and clear water, lots of people having fun activities and what not.

Awesome beach! Super busy, during the day. But you will find a place to sit. The sand is super soft and it looks like they clean the beach daily.

Less garbage than suspected by the other commentators, but the beach is heavily dominated by Russians. If you fancy that, the beach is nice. Although I miss a volleyball court… actually just a net would suffice.

Nobody care about beach's cleanliness. A lot of litter, remains of fireworks and bottles and cigarette butts. #Phuket Local Government and Administration take immediate action, do not repeat the disaster of Phi Phi.

Awesome beach with clear water. Sellers are really friendly and won’t be bothering you if you politely deny. The water sports are there but they are not disturbing at all. I’d especially point out that the yellow sun beds which cost 200 THB for two person have awesome staff that will be taking care of you for the whole day (adjusting the umbrella so that you have as much sun or shadow as you won’t, and they’ll be cleaning your bed from sand).

Really not a good beach except you like mass tourism, having almost no shade, and a lot of noise from the road.

This place is beautiful to look down on the beaches and wasn’t very busy either. We went for sunset being recommended for the lovely views, however in January it seems the sun sets behind a blocked view of trees so didn’t get to see the sunset after all. The rest of it is very nice though and I recommend a trip up.

Beautiful view. If you taste a taxi or tuktuk, have then stay there until you leave. If is not easy to get one to come pick you up!

This place has an excellent view looking north. It's an incredible view of Karon, Kata, and little Kata. We pulled in just in time for sunset. The sunset is obstructed by the trees. However, the highlight is looking north. Also there were very few people here. Very lush, chill tropical feel. I think this would be ideal to visit prior to sunset.

Good place for a quick 10 minute break with nice views over 3 beautiful bays. Karon, kata and Kata Noi beaches. Just down the road is an awesome small cafe.

In January 2023, my family and I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Karon Viewpoint, one of Phuket's most popular attractions. Positioned between Nai Harn and Kata Noi beaches, this viewpoint offered us a panoramic view of the magnificent Andaman Sea and Phuket's breathtaking west coast beaches, including Kata Noi, Kata Yai, and Karon. The viewpoint, also known as the Three Beaches Hill, provided us with an unobstructed 8-km vista, which is, without a doubt, one of the most photographed images in Phuket. The enchanting combination of the sparkling blue sea, pristine white-sand beaches, the exotic nearby island of Koh Pu, and the lush green hillsides of Phuket created a captivating landscape that left us in awe. Despite its popularity and frequent crowds, we found the viewpoint well facilitated. There was ample parking space, and even when it got a bit crowded, people conveniently parked on the roadside. We appreciated the presence of several drinks and snack stands and a large gazebo providing shade, making our visit comfortable and relaxing. Located a short 10-minute drive from both Kata Beach and Nai Harn Beach, Karon Viewpoint is a must-visit for its iconic and stunning vistas. This captivating viewpoint truly encapsulates the beauty and charm of Phuket. We highly recommend it to all future visitors to the island.

Our Grab driver showed us this spot and we were quite glad he did! It has a great view of the city and it is completely free! They do charge if you want to use the restroom though. Peak times will be at sunset so plan accordingly because it can get really busy and packed with people trying to take photos. Some people will be rude and obnoxious when you're trying to take photos since the area can be a bit tight. But otherwise, the view is lovely and well worth it!

Man o man! If you are going after the Big Buddha temple then please spend another 20 minutes in this spot along your way! Trust me, this place is super underrated and peaceful. You can take some dope pictures here

We rented motorcycles for a day around the island. One of Phuket's attractions is driving on beautiful forest roads. Around noon we reached this point. Here you can see very beautiful views of the coastal islands and the sea and ....There was an eagle named Rambo that you could take a picture with for a very small amount of money! There was also a cafe and a number of stalls selling water, snacks, etc. I love fresh green coconut, which I fortunately found there!

Easily accessible cute little viewpoint overlooking 3 of the beaches. Would look even more fabulous on a clear day but still great either way. Lots of places to sit around and chill too if you’re not in a rush. An area for drone flying too if that’s your thing (and you have the licence of course lol). Quick easy tick off the list!

Nice view, but parking can be almost impossible when busy. You can see Kata and Karon beaches and the Big Buddha. They have toilets (10 THB, no toilet paper). Not wheelchair accessible.

Sunset is beautiful. A must visit, worth it of you like view. You can see kata noi, kata and Karon beach from here. This view point is actually nearer to Kata, wonder why they call it Karon View point. This Location is definitely not at Karon beach there so don't get confuse After sunset, quick drop by to Kata noi beach to enjoy the small beach before night fall and just leave the place because prices here are more pricey!

A beautiful view of Phuket. From this point you can see the beaches of Kamala, Karon, Kata and the coast of Big Buddha. A place that, in addition to the beautiful view, brings peace and freshness. I recommend!

The view where we ate lunch is arguably better than the view here. It was okay...but, there's so much foliage in the way. Plus, there's so many people trying to get a good picture. There's no charge to visit so I don't know what people are paying 500 ฿ for. The coolest thing was the girl at the bottom of the viewpoint taking pictures of you with her Sea Eagle for 100 ฿. Not much to see, but we stopped because it was on our way to something else.

It was just another view point. It was okay, nothing super exciting or shocking. It was pretty though. If you're passing by and can have your driver or you're able to stop by for 10 minutes It may be worth it if you like view points.

Great beach, water is great and clear. Very mixed people but mostly couples and families as expected. 200B for sunbeds. Great views and park near neach. Also bar is available for drinks and food but you bring it to sunbed yourself. Beach is gets deep pretty quick.

A short (750m) stretch of beach with great surf, with rocky outcrop on either end. Mostly visited by guests of the Katathani resort and public via a narrow path from the main road

Two access points for public use, neither of which is necessarily easy compared to other beaches. Steep stair decent with minimal parking among the road at the far right side/north end of the beach. You're parking on the hill part of the road before descending down to the beach town. There is a nasty looking bathroom at the top of the steps, which wasn't open when I was there. The other access point is basically in the middle of the beach with parking on a very narrow and conjested road. There are a couple of pay parking lots along the road which makes for a hike with your beach gear. View from the beach is beautiful, but there's no shade, so bring an umbrella. Nice sand and beautiful water. Can possibly do some basic snorkeling from the south end. Doesn't have your typical food and drink stalls. Resorts line the whole beach, except for that narrow center entry point. The breach is somewhat medium sized, which can feel private if there aren't many people. Otherwise, it would feel crowded.

We were on the upper side of the beach. There is some shades to hide from the sun, water was quite good, there were some waves coming deep into the sand. We liked the beach, nearby there is a toilet as well.

Small beach with little food and drink shops. Difficult to find entrance if you are not staying at katathani hotel. We went there when the wave is strong.

Kata noi is a beautiful beach. The sand and sea are incredibly clean. On the beach itself, you have some shade and you also have deckchairs and umbrellas. The beach itself is easy to reach. It is accessible to everyone. There is a small problem with parking spaces because the place itself is crowded.

Absolutely beautiful and stunning. Lots of local vendors by the beach where you can get beach chairs, smoothies, coconut, and food. Water is clear and great for a swim. Careful with rocks though!

What a beautiful beach. We read that you could snorkel in the south end of the beach and we were pleasantly surprised at how many varieties of fish we saw (more than our 'snorkel' stop on Phi Phi.) The southern end is quieter with only the one row of umbrellas and beach lounges (200 bhat for 2 people for the day). We were next to a hut that sold fresh coconuts and fruit. Tropical paradise. The colour of the water was spectacular and crystal clear and in the southern end not as crowded as the rest of the beach. It was just a 5 min drive from our resort in Kata.

This beach is a cute little gem of Phuket nestled at the southern part of city. The beach is calm, serene and beautiful with not much crowd. There are also good places to eat around. If you are looking for a peaceful evening at a beach in the city, then you should go there

I was reading about the litter and rubbish on this beach prior to my visit. Unfortunately it hasn't changed. Such a beautiful beach but ruined by plastic everywhere. The local council should really do something about it... Beautiful place but please clean it up and save the wildlife.

One of the prettiest if not the prettiest we have seen in Phuket. We have also seen little green sea snake in water. Very clean and very beautiful. It is visible that locals take care of this place. Open from 7-19

Amazing beach, much better than neighboring kata beach. Very calm, crystal clear waters, white sandy beach, very lush greenery around. Stayed there for HOURS.

Very nice beach. Sand is fine, water deep, clean and warm. Here you can eat (also vegetarian), have a smoothie or drinks, get a Thai massage, rent a jet ski - all at a nice price. Two sun-beds costed us 200 baht. Concerning toilet, it is best to use the one in the nearby Seaside pub - it costs 20 baht and you need to throw a banknote into the dedicated box. We happily spent a whole day on the Kata Noi Beach.

Very nice beach. It had some small jellyfish, that didn't seem dangerous. Some people were even taking them in their hands. We sat at the sunbeds, that we paid 200 Baht for (price for two overused sunbeds and one umbrella). The people that work there were very helpful. Near by there are some people offering refreshments and massages. Also there are people going around selling stuff like necklaces and flutes.

Great sand, warm water and clean. Very relaxing. Beautiful sunset. You can also have massages by the beach and the chairs are only 200bat a pair for the whole day.

Peaceful beach in Kata, definitely way nicer (but also smaller) than the main beach of Kata just 10 minutes away on foot. It is worth the walk. I’ve seen some of the prettiest sunsets of my life at this beach, just stunning. Sun beds and umbrellas are available for just 100 bahts per day. However, there are some things to note: - the bathrooms are disgusting. They cost 10 bahts which is not much, but I’ve seen way cleaner free public toilets in other areas. This should definitely improve. - you can get a thai massage directly on the beach, which is cool, but this is the only massage place in Thailand where I felt scammed, and I’ve been to many!! (I am writing it here since they don’t have a dedicated place on Google Maps). You pay for an hour of massage but you only get 45 minutes, in all other places you get the full hour. They don’t wash your feet before starting (you have to wash them yourself) and the ladies did not have a good attitude. I noticed them reducing the length of the massages systematically with other customers as well. The prices are not cheaper than other massage parlors right on the street next to the beach which are better equipped and more friendly. - Restaurants on the street behind the beach are quite more expensive than those next to the main Kata beach. There are no restaurants on the beach; just resorts. All in all, I recommend the beach, but beware of the points above.

Fun place we stumbled upon for Songkran (Thailands New Year) water festival. Drink specials were reasonable. Lots of seating options (sit down, high top, couch/table service.)

Awesome place to surf. My first time. The instructors were amazing, gave so many good tips. Was surfing without holding on by the end. Stupidly over priced for food and drinks! They also do free ladies surf. Can't remember when :/

Nice breeze by the beach but rude staff. We didn’t even get our last order and the check was given to us. And no it was not packed so there’s no reason to rush us. If you ever come to the beach, don’t come to this establishment when there are BETTER places nearby. 0/5 for service 2/5 for drinks The server is some obese lady in tomboy cut. If management wants to ever fix this behavior.

Great place for parking off with a surfing vibe. Close to the beach. Good for drinks and snacks.

The surfing feature is unique and fun. It brings an interactive and sporty atmosphere to the place. Drinks and food are expensive for Thailand, but they have the prime real estate on the beach with the cool surfing machine. The nachos were mediocre (no tomatoes or lettuce). The cocktails were just so so, also expensive. But we still had a good time watching the surfing.

Visited with my new husband when we were exploring Phuket and we really liked it here! The staff are friendly and the bar was great. There's a wave machine so you can surf here, but we only came for drinks and to watch the world cup. My favourite was the Surfin' Moose, it's a sharing cocktail and tastes amazing! And they are fairly priced. We highly recommend a visit here, there open until midnight.

I’ve paid 1200 bath for 1 hour session. I thought that for this price I’ll have a line for myself but I had to join it with 2 other persons. If someone would tell me when I’ve been buying pass that I have to share a line with others I would consider it for this price but nobody said anything about it. I give a three starts because I had fun anyway and the guys were nice who learnt me how to surf. Drink and food a bit expensive.

The abuse these animals go through so that people can ride them is unfair, disgusting, and pure evil. Please reconsider going to this activity and rather spend your time and money going to an ethical elephant sanctuary. Where 100% of the profits go to saving these elephants from torture and abuse. If you look at the elephants you ride you can see the deep scars in their ankles and head from bull hooks and chains. There are plenty of informative videos on YouTube where you can truly see the horrors these beautiful animals go through. Elephants are one of the only animals in the world that truly have emotions such as ourselves. They have best friends, they grieve, and they have very sensitive skin. Please do not go here.

They are amazing. The elephants are very friendly and the caretakers treat them well.

Don’t do it. I find it unethical that these sort of places still offer trekkings on elephants. Go to elephant sanctuaries, places that deserve to receive donations to keep the animals in good and healthy conditions, not chained.

Intelligent humans with any conscience should avoid these camps, they should be closed down! Elephants are highly intelligent and sensitive animals that deserve to live freely not tortured into submission so that people can be entertained! These poor souls have been cruelly broken down so that people can ride them, take pictures or bath with them. If you want to observe elephants, please support a properly ethical sanctuary instead.

They offer to ride elephants…. this is not OK - people should know by now that this is not animal friendly but these operators just don’t care! If you want to see elephants then go to a place that has the proper conditions and does not chain up their elephants in small areas!

A heart warming activity you could try once in a life time

We made a 30 minutes trek on elephant. It was a really nice experience. The route was very pleasant, we didn't have to hurry. It looked like the elephants here enjoy calm life and have a really good care.

So I decided to take my family here because I heard elephants were sacred and cared for properly. I was mistaken. Once we arrived, we saw the elephant handlers violently striking the elephants in their legs and ears. One elephant was struck so bad that there was visible blood on his ear. The other elephants that were not being ridden at that time showed signs of distress in their thrashing and swaying movements. My daughter literally broke down crying hysterical over it. A truly traumatic experience for her. Would not recommend this place to anyone. They most likely need to be investigated and shut down.

We attended this camp 9 years ago as it had excellent reviews and was known for its good treatment of elephants (there weren’t sickles, the camp was nice, and the guides were obviously very kind to the elephants). Today, we saw the elephants get mistreated with the sickles when one was being naughty. We saw after that he was bleeding from where had been speared in the trunk. The trekking experience they provide is a fraction of what it was, more money and frankly not worth the money, even if the elephants were not mistreated. Do not go or waste your money. It is filthy, there is no where to wash hands, the website is misleading and the guides were more interested in smoking than being kind to the elephants. Do not recommend. Go to a proper sanctuary that actually cares for the elephants.

Terrible environment for the elephants, 1 metre long chains keep them attached to a concrete floor or a tree.

Would highly recommend you visit an ethical elephant sanctuary where they DON'T have opportunities to ride them. Where elephants have broken bones and are in rehabilitation because of the cruel companies and tourists that think they are for entertainment purposes. How would you like to carry tonnes of weight on your back and in the heat???

Always beautiful to share a banana with the elephants here, short stop on the way through to have lunch is taking longer than planned taking a lot of nice pictures feeding the animals

I absolutely recommend visiting this park! The elephants are nice and clean, and look taken care of. The ride was our absolute favorite! The guide took lots of photos and videos of us on our phone, was gentle with the animal.

The elephants were beautiful. We saw the reviews and assumed it would be ok but it is not. We regret going for it but we didn’t see anything wrong until we were on the elephants and saw the sharp sickle. In fact our daughter changed her mind on swimming with the elephants and we asked for refund for her and the staff showed how unhappy they are. One of the staff was very ruthless with the elephants. They use the sharp sickle to control the elephants and I saw him poke straight into the elephant’s head and caused a bleeding hole. We feel very bad and we hope to warn others not to support this establishment. Go to other elephant sanctuaries!! Do not support Kokchang.

Please don’t support practices like this. Riding elephants is damaging to their health and their bones. Instead, take some time to read up on ethical sanctuaries where you cannot ride or touch the elephants (as it should be). Absolutely shameful that elephant riding is still a thing

The elegants ate well treated and happy. They're healthy, with bright eyes and an easy gait. They can easily carry the weight of a tourist or two. I know, it is politically corrrct to hiss and shriek, if you are a sheep. These elephabts were saved from death in Burma. If people stopped paying to ride them yhey would STARVE to death. If every single person hete giving one star would pay for their ipkerp until thry die, fair enough. But liberals only care about looking good and making others look worse. So yes, by riding them you are kerping them alive and happy. Only happy people can spot happiness in an rlephant, miserable self-haters will not. Sorry, not sorry. We had a wonderful time and I encourage everyone to do the same before it is outlawed and they die.

Happy elephants. A chance for a up close and personal experience with elephants. You can feed them, or have a wash with them or get them to take you on a ride. One can tell that the elephants are treated well and are happy!

One of my favorite things to do while in Thailand is to visit the night markets. My Favorite market in Karon is the Karon Temple Markets. The street food is truly amazing and cheap. It is prepared fresh while you wait and there are all manner of delicious foods and drinks on offer. The other varied stalls have all manner of goods and clothing for sale at insanely low prices. You can always get a better deal by bartering with the individual stall holders. I got some great deals on clothing, watches and other assorted souvenirs. The markets operate in the temple precinct twice a week. I was a regular visitor.

Lovely night market and the best we found in this area :). Great stuff to buy and atmosphere and a few food stands inside and outside. During COVID they also checked temperature and masks at all entries! We went there on Tuesday and Friday :)

Only on Tue and Fridays from 4 pm till late. It's really a vast difference from precovid days when it was crowded. Now there appears to be more sellers than buyers, sadly. There's still a wide range of casual clothing, beachware, souvenirs and street food

These markets are actually good. You aren’t hassled to buy unlike say Patong or Kata Beach. Some good street food on sale here. I tried a few things like freshly cooked spring rolls, vegi Samosa and mango smoothies. I did not get crook so it was obviously ok to eat 👍

We were there early even before the tents were put up, plenty of options at a great price. A def must visit for shopping. Just a 20 mins ride from Patong plus you’d get to visit the beautiful Karon beach as well :) get there by 2/3pm to avoid the crowds and you’d have plenty of freedom to haggle prices.

Small market with a laid back atmosphere and cheap souvenirs for sale. The temple the market is held on is also nice. Worth a visit if you happen to be nearby.

Great Market highly recommended. It was quite then my family and I went but it is getting busier. Lots of clothing jewelry, hats and other goods but not alot of food options. But you should go. Again highly recommended.

Don't know who had the glorious idea of putting the only night market on Karon Beach in a Temple. I went there on 3 different days and it was always closed because of Buddhist ceremonies or a funeral that day.

Great place to shop and buy local products and souvenirs! The atmosphere is buzzing. Only open on certain days Tuesday and Fridays I believe but check Google before you decide to go! Fresh food, fruits, bags, clothes and the smoothies are to die for! Top tip - go to multiple stalls and check prices for the product you want to buy. Found many others which were selling same product for much cheaper.

Great place to find some chow as well as lots of different items both hand-made as well as some mass produced stuff, definitely worth a stop providing there open as there only open a day or 2 per week

This park is very clean, nice for jogging, well equipped for people who take care of the body even in vacation 😁 But I chose to dance Zumba. It's every day from 17:30 till 18:30 except Thursday. Absolutely FREE OF CHARGE, however tips are appreciated 😉 and you can't leave this place without tipping them cause they are amazing team. Thank you for your positive vibes. Also it's a nice place to spend time with kids.

One of the nicest and most user friendly community parks I have ever seen! Beautiful walking loop (not long) and loads of workout stations along the pathway. Strength and stretching. There is also a walking/ jogging trail that runs along the beach nearby.

Kata beach community park is a great place for families with kids who want to enjoy outdoor activities. The outdoor exercise playground and Zumba dance classes offer a fun way to stay active and healthy. The park's location near the beach also provides a beautiful view of the sunset, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day.

Nice, clean sandy beach with a gradual entrance to the sea. But can be bit noisy and busy during the day. Lot of water spots activities can be fun but also bothersome when want to just enjoy the beach and relax.

The market, like all the centers in the area, is full of delicious fruit and chic in every possible flavor, good bars to burn an hour having fun. Except for a restaurant located at the entrance to the buzzer right on the road with the worst service, dishes swimming in oil, my dish did not arrive at all even after almost 40 minutes, we left the place and went to eat somewhere else much better.... It is important to note that the score represents the restaurant only! And not what's around him.

Good without being spectacular. Prices are ok but you can get better bargains out on the street. Location is good, a little bit off the main shopping strip. Good restaurants nearby though. Worth a visit. Not big so don't need to spend a long time there.

You must never take the first offer on any item always bargain on the price. The shops work together and rate each tourist on their bargaining ability by giving different coloured bags. This makes it easier for the next shop to spot a quick money opportunity and a gullible tourist

While staying near-by at a hotel, we often came to this area to eat as the food was cheaper than going in to town or at our hotel. This area is quite touristy, with the beach located just across the road. The Thai people are competitively priced with their food and merchandise for the area. Check around for prices to ensure you are not being told higher and see what others are offering. Remember that most the vendors sell the same things, so it is best to ask multiple what the price is and then haggle as they may quote you much higher at some places compared to others. The Thai people are a bit pushy for sales in this area due to the culture and nature of this tourist area.

Good markets in here. Don't need to go to patong.

Sama same as the locals would say. Same overpriced fakes sold in each and every stall by over eager/aggressive vendors. Best Thailand souvenir ever, a fake Lakers shirt made in china. There are a couple of streetfront bar/restaurants that look ok, the rest ... give it a miss.

Food here especially the local Thai food was very good and reasonably priced. You can get the usual night market shopping but definitely very reasonably priced food which was very tasty. There were both locals and tourists eating. We had the mussels, squid, fried rice and tempura shrimp. The fried ice cream and Thai mango were probably one step too far but had to be done.

Some vendors are really expensive, especially the fruit ones! We bought a few different fruits and we spent almost 500B! I recommend coconut ice-cream, and the BBQ/grilled section that has a good variety of fish and meat.

Should not vent just because one outlet turns out to be an unethical tourist trap. The food choices are great and varied. The grubs, beetles and scorpion stall is always a crowd puller, but only for the 10 baht it costs to take a photo. The common seating area is completely full all the time and it is just easier to do takeaway.

A sweet little market.. You can eat relatively cheaply here, get cheap drinks and also get lots of (unnecessary) souvenirs :) If you want to try something crazy, you can buy frogs or maggots on skewers. Otherwise, there is a lot of sea food and the usual Thai dishes. However, the cleanliness of the tables leaves a lot to be desired.

Not too crowded for a night market. Has a lot of local thai street food, especially seafood. There is live music, so you can enjoy your meal while listening to them.

An experience to delight. If you are in Kata definitely stop in for a feed. We enjoyed a tasty seafood meal on our way back to the hotel after spending a good afternoon out dehydrating 😉. I thoroughly enjoyed the squid and it was nice to sit back and enjoy a few beers while eating in the market.

It's situated opposite the Otis hotel and little away from the marked location. The market mostly has food stalls and few cloth and beauty product shops. Many shops are still not open. There is one street ice cream vendor who freshly prepares ice cream rolls which I liked most.

This has to be one of the more beautiful markets I've ever been to! There are people singing, great food, nice aroma everywhere, and the sunset views are just amazing!

Here you can feel real local atmosphere. In comparison with other places here is clean and food is also tasty. Very big choice of sea food, it’s a real paradise for seafood lovers. Alcohol cocktails are also good and a big choice of smoothies.

Partly is the world is not travelling as much as before, Russia and China is still lock down which I believe there are many Russians and Chinese here before. I don't know if this place was hot or not before, but I definitely wasn't when I went there in may/June 2023. The place was basically empty with only same shopping options. Only a couple restaurants selling stir fry and seafood and no street food vendors I would expect from a night market. Don't bother coming, go to the walking street for a good night market experience which is just a walk down the street

Some of them with live singers 🎤 . Must visit if you are staying nearby. We stayed in Peach Hill Resort and it is at walking distance from here. 🥰🤩❤️

At Kata Night Market, I experienced a slight disappointment compared to other night markets in southern Thailand, as it felt more like a large tented restaurant than a traditional market. The food was acceptable, but it was a bit pricey by night market standards. The market initially seemed like one big restaurant, with staff from various stations taking orders and serving drinks interchangeably. This caused some confusion, especially when I was separately charged for a Roti dessert. The music was an unusual mix of Western pop hits and Russian songs, catering to what seemed like a predominantly Russian tourist crowd, which felt somewhat out of place for a Thai night market. Overall, it was pricier than most ‘real’ night markets I’ve visited in Thailand.

Standard food and good prices. We went for lunch so it was quite empty and relaxing. I recommend the Watermelon shake, really good and refreshing

I would 100% recommend the cask draw experience - delicious 18 year old cask strength whiskey in a lovely aromatic environment. Katie was a charming and informative host. The splosh and gurgle of the distillers dog was a delight. I don't think I'd recommend the tour however. Our guide was great but it all felt a bit rushed and there wasn't enough time to linger and it all felt a bit constructed. It didn't feel that deep or engaging despite our guides best efforts. The whiskey tasting section was nice but the selection felt geared towards shifting product rather than a really distinctive tasting experience. I'm a whiskey enthusiast not an expert but there wasn't enough contrast between the whiskeys being tasted. You could buy the whiskeys as you exit through the gift shop though... You do get a good couple of drams for your ticket fee so there's good value in that. On balance though I'd recommend you get the cask draw for €10, buy a drink in the bar and go to the Guinness storehouse for the afternoon and enjoy the sunset in the gravity bar.

Great experience. Lots of people but really well managed with small group guided tours provided. Hats off to you guys at Jameson’s. Our guide Leah S was really brilliant; informative and entertaining as well as friendly and polite, making it a really worth while visit, highly recommended. Not too hard sell, just really interesting and enjoyable experience. Lots of credit was given to all the workers over the years who have made this such a success as reflected in the company logo of a man (labourer) with a barrel on his back. This is a ‘must see’ experience.

Made reservations for a Monday evening Cocktail Class. Loved the distillery and bar area - great vibes and decor! Enjoyed our cocktail class and even had a few more at the bar area after. We did visit the gift shop and were hoping/expecting it to have many more items, but it was quite small. Would recommend signing up for one of their activities if you appreciate whsikey!

We did the Jameson Distillery Tour and had an amazing experience. It lasted about an hour, and our tour guide Sean was hilarious! He went through the entire distilling process in detail and made it interesting. And the best part - WHISKEY! I highly recommend the orange "water of life" 😉 I don't want to spoil the tour so check it out for yourself, it's worth it! And something you absolutely need to see when visiting Dublin

This was a quick walk from center city & also the Guinness Storehouse, and is in a quaint area. We did the 45 minute tour with Alex and she was INCREDIBLE! So fun, knowledgeable, and engaging. The bar is also a great, warm spot to relax at the end. We would definitely come back.

Visited in 2022. This is a must if you are a fan of Jameson. The atmosphere is great as soon as you walk in. Cool bar right when you enter where they have very good cocktails. Their gift shop is great, lots of cool items that will make great gifts. They even have a few bottles that are exclusive to the Guinness store that you can personalize with your name on the label. We did the tour and the guide was amazing! He was so good at keeping everyone engaged and the content of the tour was really entertaining. We paid extra to taste from a cask that they tap open in front of you. This is something they do not bottle for sale. Overall, highly recommend it! P.S. I heard from a local in Dublin that he had gone on a tour awhile back and it wasn’t good but they had updated the tour a few years back and he had gone back as well and was much better. So if you had gone awhile ago and was disappointed, try again! Book ahead of time!

I did the Standard Bow Street Experience your which includes a drink on arrival to take with you on the 40+ min tour, learning about the history of Jameson, how the famous whiskey is made and whiskey taste testing. Molly our guide was very nice and informative. Really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend it.

The Bow St Experience tour is well organized. Tour guide was nice, tried to engage as much as she could and entertained us. Comparative tasting was good and fun. At the end you get a voucher for a drink. I would 100% recommend ginger&lime cocktail even if you prefer neat whiskey. What made this a 5 star review was a cask draw experience in their live maturation warehouse in the building. We had an absolute craic there with tour guide Niall (kudos!) who just shinned with the love for whiskey. He was very insightful with tonnes of knowledge. Niall made cask draw experience worth every penny.

Not a fan of whiskey until today! The explanation how to taste made so much sense that you can actually really learn to enjoy it. Our tour guide was funny and explained everything very passionately. In total 4 drinks , one in the ticket you can trade in the begging or end of the tour and 3 more samples in the end of the tour. Used my Go City pass to visit this museum.

I visited 3 whiskey distilleries in Ireland and Jameson had the best experience of any of them, and was one of my favorite things we did in Dublin. The tour was very well put together (and Nial was an excellent guide). The add on cask draw was also cool. The bar there was also really good. In addition to their normal cocktail menu they had a whole old fashioned menu, we tried 3 of them and all were delicious. I would also recommend the bottle your own black barrel option to any whiskey fans.

We did the standard tour and cask draw add-on here and had a great time. Our tour guide, Erin, made it though. She was super awesome and kept us all laughing throughout. I really enjoyed at the beginning she had us all say where we were from and kept engaging with all of us so it didn’t feel like a normal run of the mill tour. While you don’t see the inner working of a factory, I felt like I did learn a lot. The cask draw was totally worth it in my opinion. They bring you inside a room that is full of whisky barrels and pull it straight up from one of them for you to try. The taste was so different than the bottled versions with it being extra burning and warmed your chest, very cool.

Fantastic tour and experience for any Whisky fan or even those new to the drink - the whole experience was very enjoyable and our tour guide was welcoming, knowledgable and very friendly. You are out into timed groups and have a history lesson of Guinness, details on the manufacturing process and then finally a Jameson taste off vs Scottish Whisky and American Bourbon. Once finishing you are free to go to the bar and redeem your drink which are great! We definitely spent a while at the bar trying different drinks on the menu (would highly recommend the Irish coffee) All in all a very worthwhile experience - options are also available should you wish to do extended tours or private events (which looking back would’ve been great to do the cask tasting session)

We loved this tour. It was interactive, engaging and informative. We did the Guinness tour as well and found that one to be a bit of a money grab as it was primarily self guided. I’m not a whiskey drinker and enjoyed this tour anyway. A lot of pride from the folks who are employed by Jameson. You can tell it’s a well managed organization and they must treat their people well as everyone was passionate about their job and pleasant to ask questions to. The tour and tasting were well thought out. It exceeded my expectations. I would do it again next time I return.

Awesome informative tour. Our guide was amazing, answered all our questions and showed the history of some of the best Irish whiskeys in the world. Wonderful samples at the end. Got some bottles you can't get anywhere else!

Our tour guide was amazing. She gave us the history of Jameson in a fun and informative way. It was great to hear the Bourbon barrels of Kentucky contribute to the flavor of certain Jameson whiskeys. We fell in love with this place and enjoyed their new Orange Whiskey. My GF who was not a whiskey drinker now makes Ginger and Jameson a regular on her order menu. We purchased some personalized whiskey for my daughter and now son-in-law along with making our own bottle of whiskey was a great experience. 5 stars all day and a must when you visit Dublin

you must come here and do a tour if you're in dublin! we had an amazing tour guide (ronnie) who made the experience so good. the history and process of making the whiskey was absolutely fascinating and we loved every minute. you get to sample 3 whiskies before getting your grog (free drink) at the end of your visit. The gift shop is big with a lot of items such as hoodies, t-shirts, hats, posters etc. cant recommend enough!

Had the most amazing time at the Jameson cocktail making class! Loved the atmosphere, the mixologist Marco was fabulous - friendly, funny and knowledgeable! We learnt some really cool tips and tricks and of course enjoyed the whiskey! Highly recommended…

My boyfriend and I went to Jameson's yesterday and we had a great great time, we're home visiting family and to celebrate St Paddy's day.... the staff were really great, we got to chat properly with Margaret, in the gift shop, really knowledgeable and friendly and of course our guide Leah was just fantastic.... another lovely girl in the gift shop who helped us with tax back, as he's from America, sorry I didn't get her name, we started with delicious old fashioned cocktails, 12€ each, then we did the 45 minute tour, we booked online 30€ each, it included a complimentary drink, choice of Jameson neat, or with lemonade or with ginger ale. You were able to bring this on the tour instead of rushing...... the tour itself included tasting of Jameson distillery blend, Crested Jameson and Black Barrel Jameson, it was a great experience and I will definitely go back and try one of the other tours another day..... well done Jameson x

Great experience, the basic tasting is a great deal, includes the post experience drink and a nice variety of cocktail options at the end. We went in the slow season, during winter and it was really quiet which made it even better. Took our time and only had a handful of people in our tasting. Loved learning the history, it's not as extravagant as say Guinness, but it's much more educational and interesting.

We came here and did the Bow St Experience followed by the Cask Draw which were two incredible experiences. The tour was fantastic (Alex was our tour guide and she was incredibly fun and informative) and the Cask Draw was such a unique experience where we got to try a 21 year whiskey straight from the barrel. Niall talked us through that process and gave us so much information about the whiskey. The experience is immeasurably better than the Guinness Storehouse and is very interactive, a must visit in Dublin!

Cocktail making class! Great if not the best option to choose from the different activities. Worth booking in advance as there’s not always availability. Good fun with great atmosphere! Reduced groups of max 16 people, the activity allows you to make 2 cocktails from scratch with guidance from an expert cocktail maker. Starting with a whiskey tasting the class followed with the details, ingredients and instructions of two different cocktails (changing depending on the season) and ends the session with a third drink on a private area of the distillery prepared by the instructor. Great option for any occasion from a family event to a friend gathering. Price per person at the time of visit was 60€. Further details can be found on the official site website.

Beautiful temple structure maintained very well. Should visit it during the day to see it against the backdrop of the mountains and also at night to see how well lit the structure is. The two completely different views make it all the more charming. Do try and visit when the monks are in attendance so that you may seek their blessings.

A peaceful temple. I recommend climbing to the last story and meditate facing the view. There is a very calming atmosphere here when we visited.

Couldnt go inside the temple, nothing much to see/do there. Phuket offers other, better places ... but if you already stay in Karon might be worth a visit.

Beautiful temple at the town centre.Hosts a night market every Tuesday & Friday. Good to visit to buy t-shirts and other souvenirs.

If you are looking for calm place to explore the culture and religion in Phuket I highly recommend wat karon its place in a very easy access road people there are lovely and its amazing to take pictures

I was choosing a foot trail to get there so it was lovely and interesting to see more things and details along the way The view of black rock is super beautiful and charming , a good spot to charge the energy.

Great viewpoint but don't park near the main road, the viewpoint is still 1.5km further away. The road is a bit messed up going up there but by bike or larger cars you will get through. If you walk it, bring water, not much shade on the way. Also have nice hiking trails in the jungle. Some, many of those trails can be done with a dirt bike as well.

Came here by chance but glade we detoured. To get up, we drove our Nissan Sylphy to the spot where there is a sign to Nui Beach then we walked to the left then to the right for another 300 meter then there's a climb on the left for another 200 meter. So wearing sneakers might be best and not adviced for rainy season nor for elderly. But the view is worth it except there was a little Moscow Partying up there so we didn't stay long.

10 mins walk from start point. Not recommended if it raining. You can drive your car and once see the black rock view point stone sign and you can park your car there. The view up there is spectacular !

Beautiful view, me as a swiss guy it was nice but it's not something that you have to seen. The way is steep and bumby so wear sport shoes and it takes about 10-15 min. to the point from the stone. From the main street it takes about half an hour to walk and it possible.. don't get confused from the local (taxi) The way to the point is on the left side from the stone a small way.

Definitely a highlight when visiting Phuket! We took an adv bike upto the rock point then parked near the marked rock and walking up the pathway to the view point. Please be careful when taking the bike up as the terrain is abit steep and rocky. Kindly note it’s advisable to wear shoes as its a steep walk up. It takes about 15mins to walk up. We came back down before the sun set and it gets dark in the dense forest. Its totally worth it once up you get a nice view of the area and islands close to it.

Rough road to this mountain but sedan car can go through. Walk to the top view about 200m. Not too hard, lots of big trees and beautiful nature. This spot is very nice for seeing a sunset and parachute. Happy to be here. Love it.

Great views. About 1.7km on the main road to get to the top hiking trail (x2 for round trip). Transfers available at the start of the road - 150THB roundtrip per person (and they took our 2 dogs too). WELL worth the price! Roads are steep and rough. The hiking trail at the top isn't long, but is steep, rocky, and could be slippery when wet - not too hard, but you just have to be careful and look out for snakes and centipedes. The trail entrance is just to the left of the big black rock that says Pa Hindum.

One of the most beautiful viewpoints we found on Phuket! You can either tackle the dirt track yourself or have someone drive you up (price was 200 Baht per person for both ways when we visited). We did the short drive up ourselves (scooter) , it's not too difficult if you're comfortable driving on a non-paved road. Once you get to the top, park your bike and walk into the jungle. There is a path leading to another viewpoint and a camping ground at the end of the road; the path to the Black Rock Viewpoint however leads into the jungle past a sign in Thai saying that the area is private property but passage is allowed. After about a 300m walk you're greeted with a stunning view of the Southern corner of Phuket. There were no other people during the 20 minutes we were there. All in all not much of a hassle to get there and absolutely worth visiting!

After reading many reviews, here I wanna share my neutral POV in terms of the ENTIRE hiking journey. Overall, yes, it’s a great place to go if you are a Nature lover or Hiking lover. We were attracted by the high scores with a must-go recommendation of hiking place in Phuket. Despite of keywords of “steep starts”, “barking dogs”, “bugs and snakes”, we still decided to go. Part 1: uphill. We walked in from a small entrance near the Nai Harn Lake side, there’s no eye-catching sign but I guess people can sense the way in. We almost gave up after attempted a wrong way from the beginning, with a couple of dogs barking fiercely, and non-stopped. The right entrance to the trace was actually right next to the private property with a yellow sign “Keep out”. We later realized maybe the dogs were trying to stop us from going to the totally wrong jungle. The rest of the trace was pretty straightforward, but intermittently there were steep slopes which was “killing” me since I don’t consider myself a fit person. On top of that, it’s raining season in Phuket, so the road was a little bit muddy, plus lots of millipedes here and there. We reached to the view point after around 1 hour. Undoubtedly, the view was stunning! After taking thousands of the photos, we realized it’s just 1/3 of our whole journey. Part 2: downhill. Our goal was to reach Cape Krathing, so we kept hiking to the west, where we ended up walking down the hill facing to the seaside. Thanks to the ropes which gave me some courage to keep walking…at that moment I dunno what had driven me into the adventure 🥹🥲… no regrets…bcoz there’s no other simpler way out! After climbing over the rocks, and tall grasses, finally we reached the beach side of Baan Krathing Resort. My life is back! Some tips: 1. As many ppl may have said, prepare for plenty of waters. 2. Suggest comfy long pants and long sleeve, Else…you may obtain countless bug bites (like me). 3. Go with friends who are hiking experts, so you won’t be panic or get lost in jungle. 4. Hiking shoes are highly suggested.

We came there by motobike (it was fine, we were riding slowly), last 200m is path throught the jungle, it is nice walk, its not so difficult and then you can enjoy perfect view

Tried some big commercial gyms, Couldn't come to Thailand without trying a traditional gym. So glad I came here Very friendly, not the greatest English but neither were the big gyms. Added to experience and they would show technique rather than just say. Good quality training, technical help and knowledge from active fighting coaches

Was pretty ok a few years ago but wow what things have changed... Dirty mats, don't think they ever clean. Unfocused trainers who don't realy care about students technique. Worst experience in Thailand. I've been to many gyms. Trainers is in their 20s... Trust me, If you want to train and learn, go somewhere else! Just go to Naka Muay Thai 5min a way with bike was soo much better.

Chang Gym is really great, the guys who runs it are all fighters and the sessions are really tough 😅 The atmosphere is nice and familiar 👍 I recommend Chang Gym to anyone who wants to train Muay Thai, it doesn't matter if you’re a beginner (like me) or a professional, they take care of you in the best way! I’ll be back 🙏

Took a few one on one class. Very nice and welcoming coach. I was exausted at the end. I highly recommend to try it!

Very old school gym, which was fine but the experience was so so. Good pad holding by the trainers but you didn’t really feel welcome. The class is good for a workout but you don’t really learn much technique or anything - felt like the trainers didn’t really care about you.
