300 yen will allow access to the top of the lighthouse and that gives way to amazing views. There was no limit to our access at the top. We were actually alone around 1430 on a Tuesday. The water was calm and the we could see pretty far out. If you want some amazing pictures I highly recommend this.

The historical site is a very nice park for visiting and worth a visit to understand the history of Ryukyu people. It's free. We were there in the late afternoon in December and there was hardly anyone there. We got to enjoy the tranquil place without many people surrounding us. The place is up on the hills and there's a good view up on the top. The ruin is not big by any means. However, it's a little distance from the parking lot. We spent about 45 min there total.

We go to this beach quite often. There’s a net in the water to keep jellyfish🪼 etc away. Can rent 2 beach chairs + umbrella for ¥3,400 (it’s a package, can’t split). Swim tubes for kids and adults are ¥600 each. They also have snorkeling gear and life jacket one can rent. Recommend 👍🏼

The Lantern Festival is something I had never been to at this attraction before, even though I had seen all of this site during daylight hours, in previous tours. Now that I have seen it, the attraction will be on my list of things to do every year. The festival goes from December to March, annually. Don't pass ths one up especially if, you're into photography. Check the website for hours and costs, as they may change with the times. This year (due to coronavirus) the place was never as crowded as it will be when tourism re-opens to the world. Staff are polite and helpful. There are gift shops and places to get something to eat, at tourist prices, of course. Restrooms are clean and available throughout the site. The entire grounds are stroller and handicap accessible. Bring along a tripod and you can get some outstanding photos. This year, the festival goes until March 27. Don't miss it!

We came to the beach after the tsunami alert is gone on 3rd Apr 2024. The beach was very nice with strong breeze. We rent the umbrella and chair for 5200 yen. Two vending machines near the counter.

I’m more of a movie buff than a history buff so it was nice to see the real life location behind the movie. Though standing there in the quietness you can’t help but propel your mind into what happened here during the war. Not only for the lives saved but the lives lost.

I ordered the ingredient set course and was delighted with the variety! 🍖 They provided pork, beef, and chicken – each was tender and full of flavor, leaving me totally satisfied. The ability to use a griddle, charcoal grill, and gas stove freely was a huge plus. Not to mention, they provided all the necessary utensils like tongs, kitchen scissors, and trays. The view was absolutely stunning 🌊. We had a wide-open view of the sea, making for a luxurious location. I've heard the sunsets are gorgeous on clear days. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and a bit chilly on our visit, but the venue, with walls on three sides, was surprisingly warm and comfortable. We even got a glimpse of a beautiful 'Angel Road' through the clouds. I forgot to take pictures, but the selection of about 30 types of seasonings was impressive. There were around five varieties each of soy sauce and salt, not to mention the abundance of barbecue and steak sauces, and A1 sauce. So many options, I couldn't try them all! 😋 We also opted for the all-you-can-drink alcohol package, which was a self-service with a wide variety to choose from, including beer, wine, shochu, and awamori. I'm not usually a fan of awamori, but the ones they had were so good that I ended up drinking them the most. The staff were very kind and helpful, which made our barbecue experience, as novices, really enjoyable. The dessert of roasted marshmallows with chocolate and crackers was also delicious. 🍫🔥 We're planning to try the bring-your-own-ingredients barbecue next time, and then book another ingredient set barbecue after that. Looking forward to it! 🌟

This cave is so awesome!! I came with my toddler but can’t wait to bring the rest of the family back here! Parking is tricky as it’s in a residential area, but I parked on the side of the road across from the trail head. The trail was peaceful and the cave is amazing. There’s a nice path through the main cavern. We stopped at the end of the first cavern but I’ll head in further with the rest of the fam. I can’t wait!! A little bit of a drive out the way but it’s a great location, great atmosphere, and the tuna dumbari is #1 for me
