Recently stayed for one week. The hotel is very nice - with good pools and location.
Rooms
The rooms are quite large, with enough space for two people plus suitcases. The furnishings are clean and modern and there are large mirrors and windows. The AC kept us at 22°C the whole time.
The bathroom is quite small and only features a sliding door to separate, so make sure you’re very comfortable with your partner. Most bedrooms do not feature a balcony and the windows do not open.
Location
The hotel is on the beachfront road, which makes it an ideal location for beach activities and street sellers. There are lots of amenities close, such as a 7-11 shop, a place to book tours, a laundry shop, other bars and restaurants, etc.
For nightlife, the hotel is about 10-15 mins walk from the really busy parts of the town. A little inconvenient, but probably best to ensure less noise around the hotel.
Pools
There are two pools - the beach club infinity pool at the front by the road, and the regular pool in the centre of the hotel. Both are very nice and feature lots of beds so we did not get turned away because it was full. Each pool has a different happy-hour where drinks are 2-for-1.
Each pool could use more cabanas (covered beds) because high winds often meant that umbrellas could not be used, so there was no protection from the blazing sun.
Food/Drink
There is a food and drink menu available at both the pools, in the lobby, at the restaurant, and in the room. There is some variety between Western and Thai food. The quality is reliable. The price is high compared to many restaurants outside the hotel, but low compared to my home city of Dubai.
The menu is the same everywhere (except possibly the steakhouse which I did not try) and that’s disappointing because it means there is not a huge choice.
Breakfast
Breakfast is a buffet-style served in both the restaurants. The beachfront one is always less crowded. There is a large selection of bread, pastry, fruit, cereal, pancakes/waffles, meats/cheeses, Asian, Western, local desserts, and fresh-made eggs. You can also make your own juice and there is a bar for coffee/tea with non-dairy milks available.
Only the juice here was slightly strange as it’s not fresh, but rather from a concentrate with lots of sweeteners and not to my taste.
Service
I cannot fault the staff who were attentive, polite, friendly, quick and always got things right. No order was messed up, no question answered incorrectly. They even called my mum’s room when she was sick to check she was OK and brought her snacks.
Other
There is no spa in the hotel, but this is Thailand so there are about 20 spas if you walk for 10 minutes.
Overall
I would say this hotel is very close to perfect, especially in its price range. I would recommend it to anyone who wants an stress-free, reasonably-priced, relaxing, holiday with a luxury feel.
