This beach is fascinating! The views are spectacular and the sunset is magnificent. A must visit for anyone in south Goa. The waters are nice and not too rough to swim. Coupled with the fact that this beach is away from the mainland makes it very serene without all the peddlers on other beaches. Good selection of bars and restaurants on the beach to enjoy a good night. Not too crowded, one can chill, and have a beer, and enjoy the evenings. Several cafes and bars available by the beach too. Car parking available near the beach entrance, and lots of beach stay options available around the entire beach periphery. At the end of the beach line, you can find rocks where one can hike to the other end and even find better and cheaper rooms and stays. If you are in South Goa, this place is definitely a must.

It’s huge and lots of good places to eat nearby. The beach is clean and you can go for boating, during monsoon all the water activities were closed. But you can still enjoy a walk on the soft sand.

Very cool and calm beach. Safe because of no immediate depth in sea water and also waves are not tidy. As most visitors prefer north Goa, crowd always be less. But rates for accommodation, food and services are little bit costly compared to North Goa.

Such a pretty beach! It's a combination of blue, green and golden that makes this beach so pretty. The hills on the sides and the golden sand make this beach my favourite photography spot. During a low tide, usually in the evening we can walk across to the mangrove side and nearer to the reefs. I really enjoyed my stay here because this place has some good shacks, shopping experience and less crowds compared to central Goa. The beach also extends into the mangrove by the river making it a great spot for boating and bird watching. The nearby beaches are also lovely. Visit Cola, Agonda and Majorda beaches as well while you are there.

One of the most beautiful beaches in South goa. Clean . The crowd is too good. Boating and kayaking is available to enjoy . We spent our afternoon here and really enjoyed the serenity of the beach

There are some good places to eat at the main Street that takes you to the beach, 🌊fewer hotels or shaks on the actual beach though. The place has been less crowded since covid, but the people have still maintained the beach.✨ I would recommend to visit the beach at evening. The only thing may put your mood off is the constant poking to visit the butterfly beach.😌💞 Beautiful, serene and clean beach. Resorts on the beach line are pretty good. You can do kayaking at reasonable price. You can also go for boat rides to butterfly beach , dolphin site seeing and birdwatching at backwaters.❤️

We visited this beach in Goa for the first time and loved it the most. It is less crowded compared to north Goa beaches. There is changing rooms and shower option near beach. Good shacks and many water sports available. We did kayaking and boat visit to butterfly beach and honeymoon beach and it was a good experience. As part of boat service, they will just show butterfly beach sitting in the boat and let you get down in honeymoon beach. Both beaches are just casual small beaches, speciality is the boat ride experience.

This beach is one of the best beaches of South Goa. It has beautiful views from both left to right. On the left stands the hills and on the right side the sea water enters the land by creating a mangrove backwater in which boating is being done. The beach is clean on the left side but on the right side few narrow canals flow down and mix with the sea so it's a bit dirty. A large number of boats are present on the beach which are used for fishing during morning. Few shacks are present but not on the beach they are located just outside the beach as the water during high tide reaches the walls.

It seems like an international beach. It is a must to visit the beach. None of the North Goa beaches or even South Goa beaches stand anywhere. This beach has a very different vibe. One can do Kayaking here. This is a flat and very clean beach.

You must go on a boat ride from here. Also you can try kayaking here. Do not miss sunset at this beach.

Very pretty though a really small beach. The color of the sea water is mesmerising at times. The downside is that the beach is way too crowded for its size and not even one decent shack (cleanliness, wi fi, air conditioning, food, cocktails are all a hit or a miss affair) to stay in. The music gets too loud in the evenings. And on weekends you have to avoid bumping into others while walking on the beach.

It’s a good beach and one of the main attractions in south Goa, it’s almost 2 hrs normal drive from Panjim with beautiful landscape in between. But people need to be careful and should maintain cleanliness It’s directly connected to road and have enough parking space ( given moderate crowd). You’ll also get to see lot many general stores and restaurants beside beach, so you can have anything or can purchase things required and have decent hotels nearby.

The beach is spread quite big. So, it feels less crowded. There are atleast 50 beach shacks. It is a clean beach. You get all adventure sports like parasailing, kayaking, speed boating etc. The water is shallow for almost 100 mtrs from beach. So, many kids are left unattended. Waves are at right force. It's a most popular, nice, clean, sea beach in South Goa. Sunset view is wonderful. This place is not too much crowded. Several hotels with restaurants are there at Beachside area. You can spend good time here with good food, drinks and music. Nightlife is amazing. You can get boat for Butterfly Beach from here. You can do Kayaking also. Parking facility is there at outside.

It's calm and less crowded....sea water is clear and waves are also okay. As compared to north goa Beaches like baga and candolen...it is very calm and peace place... I’m sure this was a a stunning beach , still is in some ways, but so many crammed in British tourist restaurants it has a very Brits abroad element to it especially at the south end. We were expecting from the photos and reviews for this to be our favourite place in the area but we preferred almost all the other beaches to this one. Definitely walk to the north end for a beautiful sunset view and a little less commercial looking restaurants and bars,

One of the most popular beach in South Goa which is very scenic and calm. It is close to the honeymoon beach and butterfly beach for which one can hire kayak from here. Palolem has plenty options for food and many shacks are there along shoreline.

For the distance it requires to travel to this location, and the condition of the fort, it is worth visiting only for a feel-good experience. The fort doesn't hold any historically significant exhibits. The walls are standing and inside the fort there is thick forest and a standalone church. There is access to pebble Beach through the fort. The pebble Beach is a small place and doesn't have enough room to explore. One can go there to just sit and feel an experience of uniqueness, as a Beach. The stairs access is an effort, to climb up and down and wouldn't recommend for elders and children. At the top(the fort) there are 3 spectacular view points.

Yes the view of sea from this fort is amazing. Must visit this fort. Not much construction like fort. Just few walls but view is breath-taking. Very big banyan tree here, those who love nature/greenery will like this as well.

I know Goa is filled with magical spots but this fort is right up there amongst the best. It offers a 270 degree view of the Arabian sea from a cliff and as a bonus gives us access to a pebble beach which is like a fjord from Scandinavian countries. A surreal experience if you can find a not so crowded time to visit. Also, not a lot of reviews will talk about it. But the scooter ride from agonda to the fort is stunning as we pass through small hills to reach the altitude. Silent roads with nice authentic eateries

It's a good scenic spot at the tip of Arebian sea. Old fort on a tip of Deccan rocks. All three side is covered with sea. Three view points and one can go down and touch the sea water in back side of the fort. Age old church in the middle of the fort. It's easy to commute and parking space is available. Fort exists in rural south Goa, less crowded and good scenic place.

I have been here 2 times now, once in bright sunshine and once in rain and I have enjoyed my visit on both these occasions. Located in South Goa, this place is HUGE and not very crowded. There's a chapel inside and the fort walls are intact in some places. There are abundant trees around and NO ENTRY FEES. Must visits are of course the pebble beach and the surrounding fort wall. Tip: If you go right from the chapel and climb up and continue walking you will come across a small watch tower which has steps going up. Don't climb that but look behind it to the right and there's a gap in the wall which leads you to a small cliff outside the wall area. If you reach the very end here, the view of the sea is breathtaking. But please don't go while it rains or if you are not confident of the footing. It's a bit of a tricky climb but worth it.

Good to visit for Breathtaking views of the cliffs off the sea and would get nice sunsets here. Location can be reachable by motorbikes and cars. The entry is free. Take precautions while descending down the pebble beach.

One of the wonderful tourist place in South Goa. Government maintained neatly. Entry ticket is not there for visitors. Till evening 5pm they are allowing. View point from this fort to beach is wonderful looks like foreign location. Also pebbles available in this beach was wonderful. But unsafe for kids to enter inside beach. Lot of spot is available for Photo shoot especially beach view from pebbles beach. For aged peoples it was not advisable to get down to access beach. Inside only one shop is there with coconut water, lemon juice, Noodles and so on. Roadside parking space only available. Another tol side view also looks good. In step you can have lot of views to take photos.

This is the best place to visit in south Goa. Views are amazing from this fort we went to 2 view points in the fort both are amazing. Best time to visit this place is 3pm to 5:30pm. Fort will be closed by 5:30pm. Also surprising part is after this we can got to sunset point which is nearby this fort located beside cape goa restaurant. Morning we also went to caboderama beach which is also located just beside the sunset point. 1 day full we can plan this visit and leisurely spending the time in beach and enjoying the scenic places.

A windy fort with amazing view and a downstairs that leads to the flowery clean maintained pebble beach. Ample parking. Good for visit. Going down and up the beach can be challenging in crowd due to narrow stairs

The view from fort is awesome.There is a pebble beach at walking distance ( however steep steps, need to be careful with kids and elder) . The pebble beach is an excellent photo location .Do visit in morning or evening for nice views. Maggi, coconut water and lime soda kind of quick bites are available.Worth visiting for feel good experience.Parking available for 10 cars and 20 bikes.

One of beautiful fort is south Goa . The. Time i went there it was free of entry now i don't know if they have payment for entry. But still it's really a good place for weekend visiting. There is 7 or 8 Canon are there we have to pass a small trench to enter the fort in the fort there is small church is there and if you stand in front of church and go left you can see a one of the beautiful view in south Goa of sea it's really beautiful and one of the secret gem in that place is there is a secret beach in there Pebble beach you go inside the fort and you will find the way to the beach anyway it's worth of visiting

We went to this fort with a lot of expectations as the name is very fancy. But to our disappointment, there is nothing fancy about this place. Parking 🚗 There is free parking available outside the Fort entry for 6-7 four wheelers but in rush time you may have to park on the road side. Entry 💰 Entry to the fort is free. All you need to do is to write your name in a register kept on the entrance Attractions The fort is spacious but not well maintained and there is only a single good location which gives a good view of the sea 🚣. There is also a church in the premises of the fort but it was closed when we went there. One good thing about the fort is Pebble beach ⛱️ which is around 100 metres from the fort area. Recommendation Try not to go in the afternoon session as the fort is exposed to sunlight. Carry sufficient water for drinking. 👍

If you are visiting south Goa it's the best place to visit. Liked this place and view from there , it has its own ancient history They could preserve it Better and it would be better if walking full route is made. It doesn't have ticket price. Canon was awesome . If wooden cart was preserved it would be great.

Not much to see inside the fort there is one church that is closed and one point at the top from where you can get an ocean view. But many people don't know that in front of the Church there is a way from where you can reach the pebble beach. Also there are no tickets for the fort. Overall nice experience

A scenic fort with many areas to explore once inside. A sunset view point is accessible towards the right of the entry. Pebble beach and St.Anthony Church can be viewed by following the left pathway. Overall a good place. There's no entry fee, just have to sign in on the register.

Initially, when you enter the fort, there is nothing much you can see. But there is a point from which you can trek down and go to pebble Beach which is beautiful and nice. Also there is an extremely beautiful view point from which you can see the Sea view. If you are planning to visit Cabo de Rama beach then first visit Cabo de Rama Fort. Then you can head to the beach to watch the sunset. The place is well maintained and clean.

It's an old Portuguese Fort and nice tourist place in South Goa. Presently it's a partial ruined structure. People comes here for pre-wedding shoot also. View from the fort is amazing. One Chapel is situated inside the Fort. Parking facility is there at outside.

This beach is located on the premises of Cabo De Rama Fort. Take left from the church and only after 200 meters there is a small place from where you go to the actual pebbles point and the arch where you see pictures. The location mentioned on Google maps is of pebble beach that is at the far end but pictures posted are of this place. The fort timings are 9:30 a.m. to 5pm. We went in the morning but were not allowed before 9:30 a.m. and in the first week of February itself it was very humid so plan to visit here by 4pm so that it is a bit pleasant. There is also a sunset point on this premises.

Well I don't say that it's a good fort to visit, It's just a remnant of the Portuguese invasion. But the views from the fort are amazing and breathtaking view of the jungle cliff and the beach. It's a beautiful place to watch an awesome sunset. You can visit the fort for free of cost and it's the way for Pebble beach as well. Pebble beach is a photogenic place and you can find crab on the stones. So be aware of those while going close to the shores.

The fort itself has nothing left to see. The church was closed when we went. Along the wall of the fort there are view points. They are exquisite and mesmerizing. From the fort you can walk down to the pebble beach which is one of a kind. Very serene and very beautiful.

Cabo de Rama Fort is a cool spot that won't cost you a penny to explore. The real gem here, though, is the pebble beach you can get to right from the fort. Just head straight to the gate inside, and you'll find your way there. It's a cozy little beach, but heads up, you'll need to take some stairs down to reach it. If you're not much for exercise, it might be a bit of a challenge, but nothing too crazy. Once you're down there, it's the perfect spot to kick back under a tree, whether you're with buddies or flying solo. And the best part? The gentle spray from the waves adds that perfect touch to the chill vibes. Definitely worth checking out! A request - please keep that beach clean.

We went on weekend and place was not much crowded…. Nice view of beach from top of the fort…. There is a small church ⛪️ as well inside the campus…. They way for pebbles beach is also inside the fort… so if you come here then fort and pebble beach can be covered together….. free parking was available in front of fort….

A small place of historic importance. The church was closed during our visit, The outside area is good enough for strolling and enjoying the nature. Pebble beach is not a bonus rather the most important element of the whole place. Very small yet very beautiful in each corner and steps of the cliff.

The fort's area is kind of small. Accessible to it is a beach where you have to Trek down a small hill with slippery steps. There's no network here so carry cash. Swimming here could be a little dangerous as it has a lot of rocks.

Amazing place for adventure in Goa. The beach is very good. The water is clean and looks bluish green. A trek of 45 mins from the parking is worth it, but you can take your bikes to the very end of trek. Climbing rocks is fun. The water is not ideal to go in as the slope is quite steep. The beach gets crowded very soon due to tourists coming by boats from Agonda and Palolem as early as 7:30 am. Lot of mess also has been created on the beach due to garbage and bottles. Overall a pretty good place to visit. But overcrowding decreases it's beauty

Apart from its' exceptional shape, the beach is known for the acrobatics of the dolphins around the beach and millions of butterflies flying over the hilltop. As the name suggests, Butterfly beach is the abode of numerous beautiful butterflies. But what the name doesn't tell us is that during low tides, when the seashore widens, the beach is littered with crabs and goldfishes. Sea urchins, sea cucumbers, and even redfish are common sights here. The beach cannot be accessed by buses, cars or bikes as it is surrounded by a dense forest. You can reach Butterfly beach by boat from Palolem or Agonda beaches. A boat ride costs around INR 1000-1200 (to and fro). You must keep in mind that during monsoon season boating to Butterfly beach is not possible. Butterfly Beach is a secluded beach, which can be reached from Agonda Beach by hiking 10 km through dense jungle. And nobody can stay in beach but you have to be aware of the crowd at night as per my experience Baga, Calangute and Anjuna are way safer and crowed as compared to other beaches. So make sure the place where you were thinking to stay at night has enough crowd. The best time to plan a visit to Butterfly beach is from November to March. You can enjoy the beach to its’ fullest as the weather is pleasant during these months. During the low tide period, you can witness sea urchins, redfish, goldfish, and sea cucumbers at Butterfly Beach. Imagine the magnificence of a sight where millions of butterflies are harboring over the beach and dolphins are playing at the shore of the beach. Remember that Monsoons are a bad time to visit the Butterfly Beach because all the routes to reach the beach will be blocked during this time. Things to Carry At Butterfly Beach: Picnic Basket: As we mentioned that the Butterfly beach is a secluded place, if you plan on spending long hours here, it would be a smart idea to carry a picnic basket with some snacks, water bottles and eatables as you won’t be able to find any shops nearby. A Blanket: If you are planning to visit in the Winters, make sure you carry a blanket to the Butterfly Beach. It gets a little windy and you can always have a warm and cozy time while curling up at the beach. Sunglasses and Sunscreen: While visiting the Butterfly Beach during the early hours of the day, it is highly recommended that you carry your sunglasses and sunscreen to stay protected from direct sunlight.

The route to the beach is ideal for a two wheeler only, four wheelers have to be parked a few kms before the beach and you’ll have to walk down the trail. The view from the beach is beautiful but since morning the ferry’s start coming to the shore and release a lot of smoke which is such a turn off. Hence, visiting this beach before 7am is recommended.

This is one of the best beach in south Goa. While on the beach, you will feel like in Thailand. The water is green and clear. Try to reach by riding scooty + trekking and spend at least 2 hours there. By reaching through boats will only give you five minutes to enjoy this beautiful beach.

It is a very nice experience to trail in the morning the view is very nice and you can even spot some monkeys and verifies of birds and at the end the view of the opening entrance of the beach is so amazing.

Butterfly beach is a small white sandy beach. Where you can take a boat and go to honeymoon island (which does not look like an island) but you can see the beautiful blue sea view from it and the turtle Rock. If you are going with a small kid I must suggest going by jeeps which are available at parking as it is quite a long trekking. Jeep fairy is a bit expensive but there is no other option. I am giving 5 stars to the beauty of this South goa beach.

A pretty good place to visit. The beach is very good. The water is clean and looks bluish green. A trek of 2km from the parking is worth it. Don’t take your bikes to very end. Garbage and bottles decrease its beauty.

Amazing beach with dreamy view. Not crowded too much. You can reach by car but at some point after that you've to reach by trekking. It will almost take 30-40 mins by trek. If short in time, you can reach by bike upto the beach & it is more than enough ahead from the car parking point. If you are planning to visit Goa you shoud definitely go here. This beach is my favourite in Goa. Perfect time to visit this place is early morning. Beautiful and worth the efforts. Crowd is less in morning and will be able to enjoy this place more.

The best view comes with the hardest climbs. This is true for this place. It's a very small beach in South goa with a view that the beach is surrounded by rocks and mountains. To reach this place we have to walk almost 2 km or will have to pay for a jeep. There are small shops that sell drinking water. We had taken our scooter till where the jeeps would leave us. I suggest going there with a full tank.

Nice peaceful place. Clear blue water is just amazing for photography. Can go by boat or vehicle. If going by vehicle, bike is good option. Otherwise parking is problem.

A small and hidden beach on the way to Agonda. It’s off the main road and you need some time to get to the beach by side road and some walking. I went by bike but most people go by car or by scooter. You can go closer to the main and only entrance if you have two wheeler. Then some walking is requiered. Have good shoes. Also, I recommend to avoid to wear anything white because the road is dusty and there is a traffic by jeeps and scooters. You can buy refreshment along the road. It’s worth to see it once. I didn’t bath myself in the sea as it is pretty crowded by people but I enjoyed the nature around.

Highly recommend this cooking class! What an absolutely beautiful experience! My partner and I were looking for a cooking class that would expand our knowledge and cater for what meals we wanted to learn. We learnt and cooked them, as well as more delicious dishes! Our master chef knew her stuff, food and well being is her jam. We looked at other cooking classes to go with and asked around, but this one felt right. Such lovely people with lovely energy. Thank you so much for everything you do! We will be back to cook with you next time we are in India. ❤️

Manju and Ashish have the best cooking class!!! They are so friendly and funny, we had so much fun! They enriched us with a lot of knowledge about cooking techniques, using spices, and tips for a healthy ayruvedic way of life! We prepared many amazing different meals and the best malai cofta I ever ate!!! The place is very clean and the class was intimate and we managed to prepare all the 9 dishes by our selves with the close guidance of Manju and Ashish. Thank you so much!

I spend Yesterday evening on the cooking class, and it was such a good experience. I learned a lot about spices and how to cook a good Indian meal. I also learned about the Ayurvedic way of eating, which was very interesting. Manju and Ashish are both very warm, welcoming and funny people and I really had a good time staying at their place and joining the cooking class

Such a nice couple. Both Ashish & Manju were both welcoming and made the Indian cooking class both fun & easy to learn. We picked up lots of tips to help up when cooking our own Indian meals. I can’t wait to start practicing my new skills when I get home.

Amazing cooking class! We did the skype cooking class with Manju & Ashish! It was amazing, we learnt some very nice recipes, the food was delicious! They sent us a shopping list in advance, and told us to prepare a couple of things, and then the class started and we went over it step by step until we had amazing food! A year ago I also went to Manju & Ashish for a 'real-life' cooking class, which was also amazing!

Manju and Ashish were very welcoming from the moment I first called to inquire and all the way through. We first had a talk about the contents of the class and adjusted it to my preferences, later on we cooked together 7 dishes from the Indian cuisine. We also had a very tasty and refreshing tea break in the middle. Lastly we had dinner based on the dishes we cooked together! All ingredients were clean and fresh, and we prepared everything straight from basic. Manju was very informative yet a very casual and pleasant teacher. The dishes we made together comprehend a full meal making the class ideal in my opinion. As a bonus, upon the end of the class I received a PDF containing the receipts of what we made making the learning process easier (I also took some photos). Finally, they are truly nice, the feeling is authentic and the couple treats the students as friends and not as tourists. I had a great time! Thanks Ashish and Manju!

The cooking class of Manju was amazing. She's a very good teacher and knows exactly how to cook healthy and very tasty food. Before I took the class I didn't know much about ayurvedic cooking, but Manju is very good in explaining. I just love her food and I like the two of them so much that I booked one more day of cooking. So everybody who wants to learn how to cook the best Indian food with natural ingredients, should definitely book thin class.

This is one of the less crowded beaches, situated at the southern end of Goa. Even during travel season of New Year. Famous by the name of turtle beach. One can enjoy a relaxing stay near by and can enjoy the local Konkani food.

This beach is located in Southern part if Goa around 20 min away from Canacona. You can take the vehicles near the beach. This beach is very beautiful and during off season you will find hardly any people here.

The most surreal beach, hidden gem. Least bit explored. Santosh restaurant as the name suggests is all about happiness and contentment. South end of the beach connects with the backwaters clad with few local fishing boats. The beach and the backwaters offer a divine experience to swim with the waves or without or just take a walk and enjoy the quiet.

One of the cleanest beaches in south goa. You can watch both Sunrise(chill with vitamin D) and a fabulous sunset here without any rush. Here you can find no people and some localities will be walking with the dogs. This beach is highly recommended for chilling and jogging. Very nice beach, famous for turtle nesting (though we could not see the turtles). It must be one of the cleanest beaches of India, and the sand there is very soft to touch.

It is an extremely beautiful and secluded beach. I highly recommend going if you are looking so for some peace and quiet. You are going to get a beautiful sunset. So do plan on visiting in the evening. The beach is extremely clean with almost no one visiting this place. Since since turtle, nesting happens, here, there are no shacks or vendors present at the beach. That means it is extremely clean. We can spot starfishes and many kind of shells at the beach. Remember to carry water bottle or snacks because there are none at the beach.

The beach is very easy to find. You can park the car/scooter at the beach. The beach is well maintained and clean. There is a small area where they keep the turtle nursery.

The best beach in south goa. It has a backwater where you can chill by yourself, a turtle nesting zone (end of march hatch time) and rocky coves at the ends adding to the charm. Oh ues thanks to the absence of crowd, the beach is absolutely clean and the water is crystal clear . You can rent a cycle or bike from patnem beach and arrive here in a few mins. The neighbouring talpona beach is absolutely fab as well with similar vibes.

Best place for those who prefer very little to no crowd. I never thought i would see a beach in goa with literally not more than 4-5 people.. Went for a beach sidewalk during the sunset and it was amazing just to hear the waves rattling sound amidst the peaceful surroundings.. There are no beach side shacks nor any eateries and no water sports and that's y people don't prefer this place..
