(Translated by Google) I went to Kusatsu Onsen on my own and started touring the hot spring fields around 5pm.
Deciding that it would be dangerous to travel nearly 6 hours each way home through lack of sleep and bad weather, I decided to look for a place to stay just before 6pm when I came across this association. Even though it was nearing the end of the day, they responded politely.

Rent-a-farm Ohyama thousand of rice fields.(Nonprofit organization Ohyama thousand of rice fields conservation organization.)
The Oyama Senmaida Rice Terrace is a picturesque location with seasonal rice fields set against a mountainous backdrop. The terraces are meticulously groomed and surrounded by hills and forests, creating an awe-inspiring landscape. Although smaller than other Asian rice terraces, the scene is reminiscent of a movie set. Visitors can enjoy stunning views from both the east and west valley, with breathtaking sunsets over the latter.
As a supporting member of the project, I get to enjoy working in the fields and in the office to support the activies of Oyama Senmaida. It is a beautiful location with a positive mission to spread traditional farming and rural culture to people from the city
Kristen McQuillin — Google review
Magnificent view of paddy terrace and mountain backdrop, contrasting with the blue sky. Although it is just a small paddy terrace, enough to enjoy the view. There is also cafe near to it.

I would have given this place 5 stars, but it was so difficult to get to on public transport that the stress of the journey diminished the beauty of the place! I couldn’t find anything other than a 4 year old bus timetable in English online, but thought it was worth risking the journey. I wanted to see the illumination so went late afternoon - luckily got a bus almost immediately after arriving at Awa-Kamogawa at about 15.20 - I’ve posted the location of the bus stop for non-Japanese speakers as I am! I mentioned the bus stop Kamanuma to the bus driver and he told me when we got there thankfully. You then have to walk back in the direction the bus came and take the first road right and follow it through a tunnel an up a hill for about 20 minutes - you will see the rice paddies on the left side of the road.
It is a beautiful sight watching the sun go down and the lights come on! Take snacks as the cafe is closed by 16.00, but there is a bench to sit and wait for the lights. We went on Wednesday afternoon and there were only 2 other people there.
To return, the bus stop is opposite the one you get there by and I’ve put a photo of the timetable- we caught the 17.37 bus, which in November was enough time to see the lights in the dark.
I hope these details help other foreigners to get to and from this place - it’s really beautiful! Just a pain to get to when no one can tell you about the bus timetable! Even staff at the hotel didn’t know!!

The rice terraces, surrounded by hills and forests create a gorgeous landscape. The terraces are not as big as you can find on other places in Asia, but they are groomed like a movie set and the nature around is stunning. The place has an east and west valley. Make sure to go all the way up to watch the sunset over the terraces on the west side. Also, try to go in different seasons if you can. In spring, the terraces are inundated, and the rice plants are still small, so you’ll see nice water reflections all around. In summer, when the rice is at its best, you’ll see a gorgeous uniform green in the terraces.
Javier G. Visiedo — Google review
Nice with the rice just coming up. Check the little white signs in the fields, owned and farmed by various people. Bit out of the way to find but very nice.

View would be different in different seasons
This one was taken in late winter early spring time when nothings in the field
Eric Chan (Ichiran) — Google review
It is very beautiful to see. Make sure you go when the rice is planted for the full affect. Also, be sure to go ALL the way up to the top. You get a better view. You can get some really great picture!

So beautiful! It's amazing to see how an integral part of rural Kamogawa can also express itself in functional aesthetics as well. A must see attraction.
The Roadside Station Hota Elementary School is a unique and charming rest stop that offers overnight accommodations, dining options, and gardens to explore. The former elementary school has been transformed into a quaint lodging with rooms named after different classes and equipped with student chairs, boards, and even lunch serving items. The concept of staying in a school provides guests with an unforgettable experience. Additionally, there are restaurants and grocery stores available on the premises that abound with flowers and plants.
One of the most beautiful Roadside Station ( michi no eki) I've stopped at. Lots of well lit parking spaces for even our motorhome. Clean and well maintained toilet facilities and a large open garden space for kids to run around and play at. The building compound is lined with a nice mix of gachapon stations, vending machines souvenir shops and cafes so theres something for everyone in the day. One of the best things for kids is a Free to Play area thats fully covered with padded mats so your children can run and slide around in a safe environment. We were the only foreigners there and the nice locals showed us the space when they notice we had a toddler with us! Definitely recommend a stopover if you are in the Chiba area.

Nice service station in this area.
As all of the service areas, they have restaurants, bathrooms, shop for souvenirs and vending machines.
This place used to be a elementary school so it is interesting to go.
The also have kind of a farmers market :)
I tried the restaurant with "nokogiri curry" and it was totally worth it.

Interesting little stop in Chiba. Very cool to see a school transform into a shopping and dining center.

Wonderful fresh garden supermarket with really great prices. Food choices range in price which gives you great options. And it's a great place to tour around
Regan Welder — Google review
Nice concept. All the rooms have a name of an elementary school. Ex Year 1 class A, music room etc. Student chairs, board, even the lunch serving items are all around. It gives the impression of staying at a school. I really like the concept. There are rooms on the second floor where you can stay with your family or friends. There are restaurants and grocery store with lots of flowers and plants.
The parking area was very well designed and flowered beautifully. Recommend to this place for everyone.
Ceco23 — Google review
It would be a wonderful place if you want to try old-fashioned Japanese elementary school experience.
This facility not only have a gift store, a restaurant but also Japanese style spa & hotel room that is originally used for the classroom.

Great rest stop including a play area for kids and a delicious cafe.
Tiphaine M M — Google review
Great interior design for a school that once was. Felt like a farmers market and seniors center
Peter Chanthanakone (Director) — Google review
It used to be a elementary school and renovated for a area with restaurants, grocery shops ND gift shops.
yayoi I. — Google review
After I got errands, I saw Navi and it was not long before I tried to get there. Because it was talked about for a while as saying that we changed the elementary school of the district and made it to the way station. But it is pretty disappointing. Unlike the elementary school I envisioned, I felt deceived.
I thought that I would like to think about seeing the station on the road in another area a little more without any special features of the store which I move as a tenant. Yoritomo cherry tree peculiar to this place that was in the parking space. It might be just right to get souvenirs from scenic spots.

Mother Farm, also known as Mother Bokujo, is a popular destination in Chiba, offering a wide-open area filled with friendly farm animals like sheep, cows, pigs, goats and donkeys. Visitors can pet and feed the animals in designated areas and take part in activities such as horseback riding. The Mother Farm Tour DX provides a tractor train ride through the meadowlands with stunning views of Tokyo Bay.
Perfect for kids, enjoyable, but unfortunately not the best weather. We were glamping so the strong wind didn't allow us to sleep very well. But service and conditions were all very good. My daughter had lots of fun. Highly recommended.
Gabriela N. — Google review
We went in the afternoon, during the week, many of the animals were being rounded up and put away before closing time. For our next visit we will go earlier.
Animals we saw look pretty good.
Good spaces for the animals but you can get up close and touch.
Rides look fun and we enjoyed the samba balloons ride but others where also closing 30 minutes before the end of visiting time.
Check the weather for the farm, it's on the top of a hill and for us the wind was strong and quite chilly. Great views to enjoy.
Felt like a business, lots of add on costs once you're inside.
Will go back again, but will be earlier and better prepared for the weather. Update: went back, was windy again, bit better prepared, but dry land meant quite a bit of duty and grit in the air being blown around.
Paul Scadden — Google review
We had company trip here. The landscape of this location is quite good and there were some game that you could choose. However, because of strong wind we couldn’t play zip long game that we were so excited. The lunch here was bad experience to us because the lunch mall was so hot and stuffy.
However we had some beautiful pictures here

Deep in the mountains. About 1 hour driving from downtown area. Traveling cost is relatively higher. Ticket is JPY1500 for adult, which is not cheap as well. There are many chances for kids to touch animals like sheep, goat and etc. Especially milking the cow is really attractive for kids. The grilled menu is nice but a little bit costly. It is recommended to visit there in Spring so you can enjoy the flower farm.
Martin Zhu — Google review
I have to admit that it wasn’t quite what I expected: instead of a little family farm that allows you to pet some of their animals and sells some locally produced goods, it’s more of a theme park with a petting zoo, restaurants and even a rollercoaster.
It’s by no means bad and I did enjoy my experience there. The entrance fee was 1,500¥ when we went there in the early afternoon and you get to pet animals (sheep, a capybara and some other more elusive animals) and see some shows (there was a cute little pig race show).
If you’re in the area it is definitely worth a visit. Would I go out of my way to go there all the way from Tokyo knowing what I know now? Probably not.
For the Instagram fans, there is a large field of violet flowers that are gorgeous and also ideal for stunning portraits.
There is also a glamping side right next to the farm with a great view and a firework in the evening (at least during summer)

Great place for my kid!
A lot of fun activities:
Animal feeding
Animal show
Small theme park
Photography spots
The Bar B Q meat at the food court is superb. It's a bit far from Tokyo city centre, around 2 hours drive, but it's worth a visit.
Amrn H — Google review
An Excellent farm that has a lot of lovely animals and visitors could have the chance to feed them. Nice interaction with them and there were different animal shows.
That pig racing was so much fun and Im sure the kids were enjoying it. Some of them could even have the chance to join in the race 🤣
Vincent C. — Google review
Very fun for my husband and I but it’s so hard to get here from the public transit. A cool part that’s not mentioned too much is you can pet all of the animals
Anna — Google review
We got the train from Tokyo to Kimitsu station then taxi to Mother Farm. You can get the service bus from Kimitsu but every two hours. First time glamping, we chose the Farm tent cost 55,000 yen for two adults one small child. There are several options website easy to understand. Farm large area, ideal for children 2 years up, feeding animals milking the cow. Location is stunning, restaurant huge and food decent. We especially loved watching the ducks. Large shop with nice food and cuddly toy gifts. Breakfast and dinner good quality. You cook your own dinner on a barbecue but staff were very helpful. Ideal break with young family.
Patrick Joseph Frain — Google review
It’s not changed a lot in the 10yrs since I last went. I can see they are spending money in certain areas - such as the glamping hill, bungee and zip line… but for the price of entry, I think it was 1500 for adults, there’s not a lot going on, basic landscaping and only a handful of animals.
Peter R — Google review
Good location. Up in the hills. When it's a clear day you can get views of Mt Fuji and Tokyo Bay. Well maintained farm. The animals are cute. It's all in Japanese so can be a bit difficult for foreigners. But nothing too hard. There is seasonal strawberry picking, kiwi picking etc.
It's a large farm but you can grab an internal bus that goes around if you get tired. It's paid about 200 yen per person. They also have activities like a zip line and bungee jumping etc. There is also a kids park and ferris wheel.
Dinyar Ghyara — Google review
Worth the visit if you’re staying in Tokyo.
Mother Farm offers a unique experience with their animals. While a little further than majority of Tokyo’s landmarks.
We took the ferry at Kurihama Port to Kanagawa Port then a shuttle to the farm. They offer packages that include ferry rides with a Mother Farm ticket included.
EVAN — Google review
Good experience to Japanese farm. Gets to feed the animals and ride if you like. It is affordable and beautiful.
nick yee — Google review
A farm where you can go with your family to enjoy nature and have fun with animal.
The place is quite huge so it can be tiring if you want to see many attractions scattered here.
You can buy souvenir and dairy products too.
Indra Ariefianto — Google review
Great for the kids to have a nose around. Pig racing is good. The events such as illuminations at the back end of Winter and fireworks in Summer are always worth a trip to the farm. BBQ area and other things to do
Jason Ellis — Google review
It is an appropriate place for children. I would just not recommend to go during summer, as high temperatures may not be pleasing given that all facilities are outdoors and just a few shops/restaurants have AC. At the beggining it looks like it doesn’t have too many attractions but in the end we stayed almost half day on the property.
The views from the mountains with the flowers were amazing.
Juan Tomas Rodriguez — Google review
A great attraction that is kid friendly and dog! It was nice to be able to take our dog, and it be a fun, judgment free zone. The dog run portion of the farm has three large areas that are designed for all sizes of dogs. The food sold is of decent quality and very kid friendly. The attractions are also great for kids. Lastly, the views are amazing, and it's all within an hour plus drive from Tokyo.
Mount Nokogiri, also known as "saw mountain," is a 330-meter peak located in Chiba Prefecture, offering panoramic views of Tokyo Bay and Mount Fuji. It features temples and a giant granite Buddha carved into the mountainside. Despite being lesser-known than other nearby attractions, it's a worthwhile day trip from Tokyo, accessible by train or ferry.
Went here twice , 2015 and 2021. Still one of the best hikes! Highly recommended. I wanna go again ^_^ it’s not hard and there’s always people so it’s not scary even for solo travelers:)
Shiela Acero — Google review
We visited and climbed the NOKOGIRI YAMA which means the mountain of the saw 🪚 on the day of the culture in Japan on November 3rd. It was sort of tiring for me with no training before. There were hundreds of stone statues, probably made by monks.
TMkimani — Google review
Chiba Prefecture is flat for the most part, but it turns out you can do a little hiking on Mt. Nokogiri. I decided to check it out for myself. There's a ropeway, but the trail through the forest is both scenic and great exercise. Apparently, the mountain has been mined since ancient times. There are stone statues of Kennon here and there, as well as a magnificent one of Buddha. It's like the whole mountain is one big temple. Knowing that people long ago came here to pray gave me chills as I explored the area.
DeepJapan Office — Google review
The Nihon-Ji temple is a mysterious place that resembles the remains of a lost civilization. The giant stone statues are impressive! Climbing Mt. Sawtooth Mountain we were able to enjoy the quarry ruins. It is a valuable experience not found anywhere else. The descent down the mountain takes only 40 minutes. The view from the ropeway is wonderful, but I also recommend walking down the mountain.
Rintaro — Google review
Absolutely beautiful quick hiking spot. There are multiple trails to go for but it’s mostly made of stairs. And all the stairs are pretty steep so it’s best to keep that in mind for people who have hard time with knee. Quickest trail is probably 10min from parking lot. If you wanna explore entire area, it takes about 45-60min. It’s not that difficult. Perfect to go on nice clear day as u got the view of whole peninsula. Highly recommended. Keep in mind, there is an entrance fee to the place.
Sayaka S — Google review
It’s a great mountain!!! It’s good for short hiking! They have a cable car but it’s not bad to hike to the top. But it’s a little bit challenging to ascend! Some steep slop is very rough for beginners. The top are great! Just not the top of the mountain, there are some attractive spot. It was used to be a stone quarry more than 100 years ago so there are some wreckage and site used to dig. Looks very impressive. Of course the view to cover all Tokyo bay is fantastic!!!! It’s worth to hilt to THE top by yourself!!! If you got tired after hike, you can get a cabin car to descend to the foot. Looks like getting more and more popular so looks a little bit busy here. Enjoy!!
Erine Taguchi — Google review
It was more fun to see than I thought. There was also a ropeway, and even beginners were able to challenge without difficulty. However, there was a rocky area and it was just right to wear climbing shoes.
There were people who parked their cars down, and there were also people who went up halfway up and parked. If it was a train, Yasuda Station was a little far from the place where I went down the mountain and I was worried because it was not popular. I thought it would be safer to walk before it got dark!
The mountain must to visit in Chiba
Japan world — Google review
Not a “hike”. It is a mountainside park/ attraction with a nicely kept paved path and stairs. There is an entrance fee. Beautiful views on a clear day, large stone statues carved into the cliff and some nice gardens.
The signage needs to be more foreigner friendly as most of it is in Japanese.
We were not aware the park closed at 4 and the staff got pretty irritated with us. The only sight that had the closing time was in kanji and none of the staff we saw during the visit bothered to mention what time they closed.
Moses Moke — Google review
It's a weekend getaway from Tokyo 🗼. The trek is mix of steps and routes. Few places the steps are steep. If it's rainy season the steps might be a bit slippery. It is non monotonous , each detour leads to a different section such as the observatory , quarry remains,Hell's View , Dai Butsu (Mighty Buddha) . The view of the roads and beach is good. You get the coverage of multiple scenes around Chiba. The ticket to visit Buddha is 700 yen . The main Dai Butsu is a pleasent to watch and mighty. I advise to check the weather before starting to trek and to get own water and snacks.

Motona, Kyonan, Awa District, Chiba 299-1901, Japan
Established in 725 by a Buddhist monk, Kenkonzan Nihon-ji Temple transformed into a thriving town. It boasts stunning scenery and a massive Buddha statue. While the park entrance fee is 600 yen, it's worth it. Instead of taking the ropeway, there are two paths to reach the top – one is challenging but serene with breathtaking views while the other is easier yet longer.
I took the ropeway to the top and for the way down I decided to walk. You can pay with suica or another card at the ropeway but to enter the temple you need cash. There’s an atm in the town if you don’t have any cash. Once you get off at Hama-Kanaya station just follow the signs to the Mt. Nokogiri trail and you’ll see a small store that mentions an atm, the atm will be right in front of you as you walk in. They don’t speak much English but they’re very friendly. They have signs in English on the trail but some are in Japanese so just have a translator handy. If you need to walk towards the Hama-Kanaya station once you’re done exploring the temple, walk towards the Kwan-non carving. There are signs in Japanese that say “This way towards the station.” The way down was pretty easy but it’s unpaved, and there’s bathrooms before you hit the end. Hope this helps someone because these were things I needed to know before I went. Have fun! It’s beautiful here.
Megan Martinez — Google review
Definitely one of the best hiking areas I have been to around the Tokyo area. It took 1.5 hours to get to from Chiba Station. Not sure how long it takes to get to from Tokyo. I thought it was worth the long trek. There are some nice seafood restaurants around in the town. People in the town are really friendly and nice as always in Japan.
Cost for the just the park was 700 yen. There is the cable car to take you up and down, but you can hike all the way to the top and down if desired. Cable car is 1200 yen round trip.
There are some amazing granite walls and stone carvings there. However, the highlights are the cliff hanging overlook, 50ft Buddha carved into the granite wall, and the Great Buddha (which I missed and didn't see.☹️) Don't miss any of the highlights like I did. Lol. Really well constructed trails, stairs, and paths.

A temple with various sizes of Buddha statues.
The site is very large and divided into north, south, east and west areas.
Each has an entrance and a parking lot.
There is a sheer rock at the top, and you can see the coastal area from the tip of the rock.

Nice place for easy trek & to see natural Buddha sculptures.
You can see beautiful scenes of tokyo bay!
It has really good spot for photography on the cliff.
Wear sports shoes or comfortable clothing for easy trek experience.
It’s well connected via rope way & road.
Free & paid car parkings are there.
Entry ticket is 700¥ for adults.

We (two middle-aged pilots on a layover) made it here from Narita. We walked up the north side of Mt. Nokogiri to the summit, then to Nihon Temple which requires a descent-ascent. The Temple was a great way to cap off a nice walk up the mountain. The walkway on the south side of the mountain is easier and better maintained, which also makes for an easy descent.
As an aside, the folks at the temple were very accommodating.
Jonathan Zarinnia — Google review
It is an awesome view point, with incredible landscape and this gigantic Buddha. The entrance I. The park is 600 yen, but worth it.
Now I know there is ropeway, but there are also 2 différents paths to go on top. One brutal, with high steps but fast and honestly so peaceful and beautiful. Another more easy a bit longer (that I didn't take.)
I definitely recommend you to take the hard path, and not use the ropeway, you will miss most of the nature, the peace of the place and some beautiful view. Not many people walk, so the hard path is kind of empty but you'll cross some cool guy like in all hiking trip that will be very friendly .

Breath taking area with many places to visit.
We took the rope car for Yen 1000 .. to get the top and for return because we want to save energy for going around.
Amazing view from the top.
Largest sitting Buddha of Japan is there
View of hell is also fantastic
Worth going and spend a weekend day .
But need to wear light clothes and comfortable shoes.

This place is a truly japanese cultural experience and serves many purposes, you can do a very nice hike with no so many people as most people chose to go up by cable car. Once you reach up, the carvings of the buddhas all along the way and the big buddha are truly a gem.

Tokyo German Village is a unique theme park that offers a taste of rural German life right in Tokyo. Spanning 80 hectares, the park features various attractions such as a petting zoo, beer garden, shops, and fairground rides. Visitors can explore the expansive grounds by car and enjoy activities like fruit and vegetable harvesting. Throughout the year, the village showcases seasonal flowers including 5000 roses representing 200 species in spring and enchanting illuminations in winter.
Great place to visit during the day. Lots of activities like mini-golf, petting zoo, multiple play areas for children and more.
The place really comes alive at night! The illumination set up is world class and I was shocked at how detailed and extravagant it was! Its a doable for a day trip from Tokyo and I would highly recommend it.

Nice village. Has some good food stalls. You can get some imported goods as well from the gift shop. There is stuff for kids and adults to do.

Very huge park with very few attractions and not very much german-ness (as a german person I can judge that, trust me). If you want to have fun with your kids it might be better suited because they have lots of kids activities, but don’t go there with expectaions to experience german culture 😄

It's not located in Tokyo, but Chiba. The illustration during the winter season is awesome! It's worth visiting. The admission charge is 500yen/per walk or 3500 yen/per car, so it is beneficial if many people can ride a car.

It's good to go in group as one car you have to pay 3000 ..and inside you have to pay extra for playing games. Went this year also 2023.

It's nice if you go there with kids, but not much to do for the adults.
You have to pay separately for every attraction.
A lot of guinea pigs were injured and I felt sorry for them.
Also it was very hot 🥵
Not bad to visit once, but I won't go there again.

Winter Illumination is set with over 2 million LED lights. The theme of the illumination was on Gulliver's Travels. German bakery, fire activities, jurrasic theme park, magic show... everything is incomparably beautiful here. And Mount Fuji san was clearly visible in the evening. Everything were shinning brightest.

Much to do during the day as well. Ideally one should go there 1-2 hours before the sunset and enjoy the beauty of this very well kept place. A lot of stuff for kids to do, and equally enjoyable for elders. Sunset view is amazing from here, and you can be lucky to see a glimpse of Mount Fuji from there too. The new Jurassic Park auto ride is very interesting. A lovable place to spend quality family time, or with friends.

TLDR: Went mainly for the lily farm, was worth it.
Lily farm was still worth it today, 7/13, but at the end.
We’ve heard of this place, but never went until now. Our main point was to go to the lily farm, and anything else we did was a bonus. This worked well for us, as the time that we went nothing else was really going on. It was raining off and on, but with a thunderstorm warning. Due to that all the rides weren’t going. I don’t think we would have ridden them, but if you had kids it would definitely be fun. That’s kind of the theme I think, with kids this place would be fun. There were so many random things that are fun, dinosaurs, medieval ships, rope sliding thingies, a suuuper long slip and slide, I can imagine spending an entire day here with kids no problem at all. Or even if you just want a nice open green space, so nice!
Our main goal was the lily farm, and even though we came at the tail end of when it is viable, it was still great. Most of the pictures came from there, and if you are reading this and wondering if you should go, you still probably have a day or two left to go!
You can also pay 500 yen(at the time we went) and dig up and pick flowers to bring home. This was actually a lot funner than we should, and the nice old man gave us an extra lily plant to take home! It’s definitely worth it and the smell of the whole place is overwhelmingly lily, our car ride home smelled like lily, and now so does our house.

Due to the seasonal nature, there were many people visiting the Shichi-Go-San shrine. It is a shrine where there are not only Myoken-sama but also various other gods. There seem to be many people praying for success. You can visit the temple grounds without having to walk around much. I think it's a shrine with good transportation and a nice atmosphere. The god is also enshrined on the second floor of the main shrine, so please go up there once. Please note that there is no parking lot at the shrine, and you will have to park at a nearby coin parking lot. There is a shop that is famous for Mame Daifuku right next to the shrine.

Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu in Chiba is a must-visit destination, conveniently located near Haneda Airport and accessible via direct highway bus routes from Tokyo, Shinjuku, Shinagawa, and Yokohama. Boasting around 250 stores featuring renowned international designers like Armani, Coach, and Seiko as well as upscale Japanese brands such as Blue Label Crestbridge and Francfranc.
First, you need to grab a floor map of the outlet park as it was large and a bit scattering to navigate around. Not only was the number of stores were impressive, the quality and variety of products were equally so. PLUS, the restaurants in the food court of the outlet park did serve decent and cheap food. Highly recommended.
007Decky — Google review
TLDR: Worthwhile outlet that is not too far.
If you come from The US, do not consider an outlet here the same thing. While prices are lower than a normal store, it is definitely not as cheap a US outlet.
That being wide, Kisarazu is relatively close and easy to get, while having a good selection of stores and parking. It is pretty dog friendly as well which is a plus. If you are nearby it is worth a look if you have something in mind, or a lot of time to kill. It can get quite hot during the summer as it an open air mall with not too much shade, but the stores do blast their AC(good for us…bad for the environment?). The food court is also a good size to accommodate the number of people. And most important of all, good clean bathrooms!
Alan Sue — Google review
The outlet is well designed. Wide range of selection on brands and products. Food court is spacious. Bus is probably the easiest public transportation option. You can buy ticket at the kiosk or pay on the bus.

45 mins direct bus from Tokyo Midtown Yaesu. Pay fee upon alighting bus. Mostly winter stuff for now. Certain stores are not tax free so will need to go tax refund counter located at the food court. Food court is very appealing with many types of food.

Took a 45min bus from Tokyo station which cost us 3000 yen (return) to visit this huge outlet with many big brands' markdown store.
Ride was comfortable and we could even see the beautiful skyline of Tokyo while comuting there.

It is quite convenient to take a coach from Tokyo Station to the Park at ¥1400 single trip. However, they have a package by paying ¥3150 and you will get ¥2500 coupon for spending inside the Park.
The coach station is located at the B2 of Tokyo Mid Town Yaesu while ticket office at B1. The sign board indication inside the building is very clear.
There are 6 departures per day starting from 9:05 am to 11:35 am at line 12 b and 6 returns from 15:30 pm to 20:30pm. It takes about 45 minutes to the Park from Tokyo Station.
Don't expect the price very low. That is about 20 to 30% lower than the normal.

Mitsui Outlet Park offers a delightful shopping experience with a wide range of stores, making it a popular destination for bargain hunters. The outlet park is known for its spacious layout and clean, well-maintained facilities. Shoppers can explore a diverse selection of brands, from fashion to electronics, often at discounted prices.
One of the standout features of Mitsui Outlet Park is its food options. The dining choices are diverse, catering to various tastes, and offer a pleasant break from shopping. Whether you're in the mood for local cuisine or international flavors, you'll find something to satisfy your cravings.
Parking is usually ample, making it convenient for visitors. Additionally, the outlet park often hosts special events and sales, which can make your visit even more rewarding. The staff is generally helpful and courteous, contributing to a positive shopping experience.
While it may not have the high-end luxury brands found in some other malls, Mitsui Outlet Park excels in providing value for money and a relaxed shopping atmosphere. It's a great place to spend a day hunting for deals and enjoying a variety of dining options.

It’s huge area where have furniture store, outlet and restaurant all together.
Enough parking stops around shipping mall for customers.
For my personal idea I don’t think they have good ideas here. I walk around the outlet. The most of the stores don’t have great discount can attract me.

A lot of different brands available in this outlet and very close to the town, take a direct bus from Tokyo station to the outlet just requires 45 minutes. But not every shop is tax free, this is a bit different from other outlets.
Zoe Nei Nei — Google review
Clean and very spacious. Loads of high and middle branded shops. Loved the local branded shops most. We found that prices were a bit more than the UK even when product was on sale. Overall best place was the food court where food was great and varied. However, didn't realize there were more food shops outside with the shops so missed out a bit.
Kwong Lee — Google review
Very convenience to travel from Tokyo to the kisarazu outlet, took a bus from Tokyo station and the journey took less than an hour for 1400 yen or you can choose to pay 3150 yen for bus and get a voucher of 2500 yen that you can use in the outlet for both food and shopping...saving of 750 yen.
There is a food court within the outlets too with sufficient good choice.
The discount is depends very much on the brand you bought, I got 3 winter wear from Oakley at less than 25,000 yen after discount and tax rebate.
To me it’s a better choice compared to going to Gotemba which is more than 2 hours away and the return bus from there is 5.30 pm, while Mitsui is at night around 8.30 pm to Tokyo Yaesu bus terminal.

Chiba Park offers a vast expanse of greenery adorned with springtime cherry blossoms and tranquil lotus ponds. Its facilities cater to both leisure and sports enthusiasts, including boat rides, fitness corners featuring pull-up bars and parallel dip bars for exercises, as well as a velodrome and softball stadium located further north in the park. The generously spaced area is ideal for picnics with family or small gatherings with friends amidst the trees.
A serene park in Chiba Prefecture where you’ll be in peace with nature. A vast area with abundant greenery and a large lake with lots of wild ducks and birds playfully swimming and chirping! There are playgrounds, pavilions, picnic areas and restrooms are well located. There’s a vintage train on display but kids often climb over and spoiled the spot. A small number of cherry blossom trees but unfortunately has not in full blossom when we were there. The park is accessible via monorail and stop at Chibakoen Station.

Great local park with plenty of benches and trials to run.
There are boat rentals for the pond, vending machines, and a cafe nearby.
This park features a small waterfall and wisteria garden/overhang.
The Lily pad/lotus flowers aren't in season yet.
I was able to Google translate many of the signs and luckily the sign about the history of this park has English.
The monorail is close by. It would be about a 20 minute walk from Chiba station.

We can get refreshed at this place without any disturbances. It is a very cool place for early exercises. It is also awesome at evenings. You can easily go to this place as the Chiba station is near by this park. There are many place where you can do different activity like there is a swimming pool if you want to swim and get fresh. If you are a sports lover then you can find a basketball court too. The basketball court is also nice and you can spend some time playing in it. There is also a baseball stadium and you can watch matches at the time of match day. It is also a nice place for those couples who wants peace and natural environment at the same time.
There is also a map which reflects all over the place existence of the Chiba park. We can a lot of information from that map too. You can see many local peoples as well as foreigners visiting inside the park. There is also a very good service of public restrooms inside the park so you should not get worried when you want to use it. There are also few vending machines from which you can get a drink. You can get both hot and cold types of drinks from the vending machines so it is really awesome. If you are a coffee lover then you can have a hot coffee too and stay at the garden by viewing its natural beauty.

We visited it on a Sunday morning. There were many families visiting it with their young kids, but there was no wait to enter the park.
You buy the tickets at the ticketing booth or machines at the entrance. The machine also has English. Tickets cost ¥700 for adults (high school or above) and are free otherwise.
There were many animals to visit, mainly small animals (e.g. lemurs, red pandas, meerkats) with some larger animals (e.g. lions, sea lions, ostrich). There are not that many animals to see, but they were mostly in nice and spacious living areas, so it was nice to see that the animals appear to be treated well.
The paths are mostly quite sunny, but with ample shade (from trees) along most of them. There are also many souvenir shops, restaurants, and clean toilets around the park. There is also a fountain/water playing area for children in the center.
Overall, a very nice and comfortable park to visit for 2-3 hours. It is definitely targeting young children/families more than adults, but it is still a great experience for anyone looking to see animals and relax.

The Tokyo Bay Aqua Line, or Trans-Tokyo Bay Expressway as it was originally known, was first surveyed in 1966. Its purpose was to reduce the travel time between the two industrial regions, Kawasaki City (Kanagawa) and Kisarazu City (Chiba).
It’s basically a toll highway consisting of two 10km-long underwater tunnels through the Kawasaki waters, one 5km-long bridge over Chiba waters, and two man-made islands in between. The best restaurant with a breathtaking view. It's soothing to drink a cup of coffee while listening to the waves.
With a 360-degree view of the ocean, this would be the ideal spot to watch the sunset.

Great variety of food to eat here. Parking seems a little daunting when you first arrive but is a breeze with parking attendants to show you where to go. Awesome views over Tokyo Bay. Was amazing to come out of the long Tokyo Bay tunnel to find out transitions into this island and then a bridge.

Had the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Undersea Tunnel Adventure Tour. Registration details at their website. We joined the 10 am morning session. We learned how the bridge–tunnel expressway came about. There’re walking & climbing stairs involved. At the end of the tour, we were given some souvenirs & discount coupons to use at the mall.
We took taxi there from Tokyo Station. About 30 mins trip. However, there’s no taxi for hire to go back. Staff advised it’s best to take bus to Kawasaki Station. She also brought us to the bus stop. Thank you very much for taking care of us. We had a wonderful time. ☺️

The real development in Japan... if you want to explore than UMIHOTARU is the best place to see the bridge connection between two prefectures Tokyo and Chiba.... It's an under water tunnel with a view point in the middle where you can enjoy the calmness of the sea with the hardwork of all the staff who worked to built this amazing masterpiece.

Funabashi Andersen Park is a sprawling 40-hectare theme park in Japan, inspired by the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen. The park offers various outdoor activities across five different areas, including playgrounds, obstacle courses, a petting zoo, pony rides, creative workshops, and a water park in the summer. Visitors can explore replicas of Danish windmills and farmhouses while strolling through photogenic flower gardens and enjoying boat rides on the pond.
This place has “no age boundary”. Both children & those going to their second childhood would definitely enjoy this place. One day is not enough especially if you go with kids. Nice scenery & ambiance for elderly and also a good place to go on a date with your special someone especially if your on a budget. Bringing food & drinks are allowed. Today is the last day of halloween display but you can still enjoy the different variety of flowers. This time you can see cosmos everywhere. The best spot is the maze of cosmos. (October 31, 2023)

We visited in January. The kids play is relatively big and nice. Other than that and the animals hiroba, there is not much to do.
But seems like a better place in summer. Will make a visit later.
There are quite a large number of food stalls. Many parking lots too.

In the summer, I often come here to play in the water.
From the south parking lot, go through the south gate, pass the windmill, and cross the bridge for a nice view.
If you have been here many times and only want to visit the nature experience zone (forest), such as collecting insects, the north parking lot may be fine.
I've been going to this park for many years, but I still haven't seen it all, so time flies by.
There are many spots that small children want to play, such as athletics, playing in the water, collecting insects (beetles, stag beetles, dragonflies, cicadas, butterflies, etc.).
The bread from the bakery next to the boat dock is delicious.

Existence that should be said to be one of the best theme parks in Kanto! The name is a park, but...there is an admission fee, and the facilities are really solid. In addition, the variety of natural environments, the abundance of areas, the size of the site, etc., are incomparable to other parks.
It is a level that requires about one guidebook 😆
This is what the area looks like
①Athletics
② Wanpaku Castle
③ Animal & SL
④ Playing in the water (below)
⑤Boat platform🚣♀️
⑥ Windmill and flower area
⑦Natural areas like satoyama
⑧ Playground equipment scattered around each location
* If you break it down into smaller pieces, there are more
Food is sold properly in the park, and there are many vending machines.
There are different ways to play depending on the four seasons, and since there are so many areas, I think the multiplication of ways to use them is amazing.
You can bring in a tent, eat and drink, and stroller inside 🆗, but you can't bring in a tricycle 😢
When the parking lot is crowded, it will be close to full by 10:00. Fee 500 yen. Private parking is available nearby for the same price. ⚠️ Be careful where you park because it's very wide!

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect when going. But, it was fantastic for families. Go if you want to catch beetles. They have sooooo many types if you look out for them. They had rhinoceros, stag, shiny greed gold ones, black with spots, etc. Lots of climbing courses for kids. A super long roller slide even parents can go down. But, be careful don't go down unprepared unless you want to get a burn on your butt or back. Lots of other slides and a generous playground area
There is also water play area so bring swimsuits or extra clothes. The water is only a couple feet and there are lifeguards so a great place to play. There is also a place to hose off after. There are also multipurpose bikes, boats, and crafts. Overall it is a great place but, go early if you want to catch beetles and people tend to bring tents or spot hog benches and tables even when not using them. Be careful that the ant hill is not under your bench or table. Lastly, there weren't many mosquitoes outside when I went in July but, saw them in the restrooms.

I went on the last day of the 3-day weekend, which was expected to be the busiest in July.
I thought that if I had to get stuck in a traffic jam to enter the garage, I arrived after 8:30.
The garage was already open and I was able to park the car in the shade.
After a while, a line started to form before the park opened. (However, just advance to the front of the main area)
The park finally opens at 9:30.
Everyone rushed to set up their tents in the shade.
Several benches were popular and soon filled up.
Play in the water now.
There are many people, but there is no such thing as washing potatoes
The water depth is about below the knees of an adult, so
You can play with relative peace of mind.
However, since it is wide, it is difficult to watch over children from the shore, so I think adults should wear clothes that they don't mind getting wet.
(It doesn't have to be a swimsuit, but it can be rolled up or like shorts.)
There is a lot of shade, but if the sun is strong, there is no place to block the middle of the water, so a hat is essential.
Many children bring floats and water guns, but if you forget them, you can buy them at the shop next to the water playground.
There is also athletics, and my family said "I want to do athletics", so
I thought it would be safer for children to have not only sandals but also shoes.

One of the best parks I've ever seen in Japan. Perfect for all ages. Splash area with small beach and stream, several slides including a giant japanese roller slide, jumping balls, animals, train ride and several vending machines and toilets (the only disappointing part as they were a bit dirty as it was a busy summer day). The shop inside sells toys, snacks and drinks and they accept credit cards which is a novelty in Japan. There are plenty more things to do which we didn't have the time. So definitely coming back as the entrance fee is also very reasonable. Tents are welcome.

Went there twice. Kids was so happy enjoying the jungle “gym”. They love the long slides and jumping on the balls. They also did craft making candles. The flowers was beautiful.. Too bad we didn’t ride the boat on the lake. The line was long. We also enjoyed shopping and snacking near the windmill. If you have kids, take them
here!

When I first went I wasn't that impressed with the park but that was more due to not realising how much there actually was. Of course there are the athletic/adventure play grounds for the kids, but there is also a wooded walking area that has some interesting twisted trees and even though the majority is asphalt paths, there are a few dirt tracks that make for a regular wood walk. The areas outside the wood and behind the athletic parks are pretty interesting, too and lead through to the flower parks and European style village area which is quite beautiful.
The bridge that spans the two different park areas overlooks the boating lake which was pretty busy on the day we visited.
It's a nice park with plenty to see and do.

Having arrived at his park 20 minutes before closure I was skeptical about paying the full cost of going inside. After going in I was blown away at what they had to offer! I’ve literally traveled all over the whole of Japan and have visited many parks but I must say this park is amazing. Perfect for young lovers, children, and anyone wanting to enjoy the great outdoors, you can bring a small tent and relax. It was said that this was the most popular park even after Tokyo Disneyland was built. That’s no surprise. Cool park.
Tokyo DisneySea is a unique and captivating theme park located at the Tokyo Disney Resort. Opened in 2001, it boasts a nautical theme with seven distinct areas or "ports of call," each featuring rides, attractions, and entertainment based on beloved Disney characters and stories. Unlike other Disney parks, this one offers a more adult-oriented experience with its themed ports inspired by real places and ocean legends.
It’s an awesome amusement park and is really big as well. There are many fun attractions for all ages. I suggest booking a ticket in advance as there are limits to how many people can enter Disney sea because of the Covid-19 pandemic. I wasn’t able to ride some rides because I couldn’t get the standby passes in time, but it was still very fun and enjoyable.

Incredible experience, we went in December for Christmas time, it was just AWESOME!!!!
Disney staff were super nice and friendly and they were always there for questions or directions.
Rides were a bit fast with lines reaching 85min, but still great experience. A bit of an issue with the Disney app, wouldn't connect to register for shows or food reservations, dissatisfied with the app. You have to be on site to reserve anything as well!
Food everywhere we went was great and staff again were awesome!!!
Such an awesome experience for our family and my wife's birthday!

It’s so beautiful! The monorail is not free and you must have yen. We were able to walk from our hotel anyway. The park is gorgeous. Before opening the crowds were very large, but by 1pm people were able to walk straight into the park. The lines are 30-90 minutes as we expected but there are 40th anniversary passes you can use like fast passes for some rides for free or you can pay to bypass specific lines. We just loved walking around. The shops are not as luxurious as the shops in Orlando.

The best!! Our second visit and just as impressive as the first time. DisneySea has lots of rides but every single thing in the park is themed so even when not on the rides there is a lot to see and do! Use the app to book your fast pass options, it’s well worth it. The app also shows current wait times for each ride. We went on a Wednesday and could tell it wasn’t too busy compared to what it can be, but it was still really great to not have to queue. There was a wonderful firework/lights show at 7:30pm, so worth staying for that. You can spend the whole day here easily, it’s an awesome park!

Most things, such as fast passes and restaurant reservations, are managed through the app. The food at the restaurant was a little pricey, but it was delicious! It was my first time here, and I was especially impressed by the Soarin' and fireworks. DisneySea in Japan - A Magical Journey into Fairy Tale World
DisneySea in Japan is not just an amusement park, it's a magical journey into the world of fairy tales and unforgettable adventures. My experience here felt like stepping into a vibrant, enchanting realm.
One striking aspect of DisneySea is its vastness. The park is uniquely designed with themed areas inspired by destinations worldwide, from Venice to New York, from Atlantis to Arabia. Every corner, every detail is meticulously crafted, creating a lively and captivating space.
A tip I'd like to share is about shopping at DisneySea. If you're looking to buy decorative items like hats or headbands, I recommend purchasing them before entering the park. Prices at the shops inside the park are often higher, and the selection may not be as extensive. Moreover, if you want to save time and money, avoid buying right at the entrance area and explore shops deeper inside the park where you'll find more choices at reasonable prices.
DisneySea isn't just for kids; it's a delightful destination for families and adults alike. The shows, fireworks, and entertainment options will keep you enchanted from morning till night. Don't forget to indulge in the delicious and diverse cuisine from around the world at the park's restaurants and cafes.

For me, this is the best Disney Park in the world. It is so different from any other Disney Park that I have visited (Florida/Paris/Shanghai).
We visited in December between Christmas and New Year on a week day and found the park to be busy. We arrived early but ride lines exceeded 2 hours for some attractions and stayed at around 60-90 minutes through out the day for Tower of Terror, Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Soarin and Toy Story.
The park is great for rides. My personal favourites are Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Indiana Jones and the Tokyo version of Tower of Terror which tells a totally different story to the other versions.
Food is generally quite cheap and there is a good selection throughout the park.
The evening show on the lake gets very busy so if you want a good spot, you will need to find it at least an hour before.
It is also worth noting that the traditional fast pass system is no longer in operation at either of the Tokyo Parks with a new pay-per-ride system on the app. You can only activate this part of the app once you are inside the park. A fast pass will cost between 1,500 and 2,000 yen per person depending on the attraction. But could save you up to 3 hours in some cases on busy days.
Thomas Watts — Google review
The staff was friendly and efficient.
We ate lunch and dinner. Some of the restaurants only accept reservations and those fill up quickly so be forewarned.
My favorite ride was Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ride. The wait times for the most popular rides topped out at 120 minutes. That's insane. So we found other rides. The longest wait time in line we could tolerate was 60 minutes.
Nghiem Nguyen — Google review
An absolutely magical day of experience. At a little over 8000 yen per ticket for an entire day of fun, it is worth the price over and over again.
Each themed area is beautifully crafted and full of photo zones. The rides are fun (although not as exciting or intense for thrill seekers), plenty of affordable food options and cheerful staff will make this a day to remember.
The night show, Believe! Sea of Dreams, alone makes this visit a success. It was a touching performance and yes, you should set up camp about an hour before the show to get a good viewing spot.
I truly believe this is one of the very best theme parks in the world. Please be sure to set a day aside for it!
Sukmin Nam — Google review
The rides at Tokyo Disney Sea are on a whole other level. They are not only fun and thrilling but tell a story so beautifully. The areas where you are waiting in line have an insane amount of detail and thought to them. It makes the long wait times not as bad. I did go on a weekday off season (spring) and the wait times were about 15 minutes to 1 hour per ride. We did use the app to keep track of wait times too and it really helped. The interactive photos/videos and projections before the rides were so magical.
We also visited when it was their 40th anniversary so they had a nice show. Their fireworks/light show at the end was also a must see. We bought tickets to be able to sit closer to the front as well which I think was worth it.
Myla Fernandez — Google review
It's a great place for enjoyment and to bring back the kids in you. Before visiting, get a good idea about the place and rides so that you can move fast and cover most places. You can download the official app, which will help you move around easily. Try to arrive early, before the gate opens. We visited on Monday, and even then, we had to wait 80 to 140 minutes to enter each ride. If you can purchase the premier access pass or fast pass, then you can access the rides pretty quickly, but it's expensive. Don't forget to enjoy the evening light show and fireworks.

This theme park is just so beautiful and awesome!
I arrived around 12 and didn't manage to get the entry for attractions that require entry request but I still enjoyed my visit a lot.
Magic Lamp Theatre in Arabian Coast is a live magic show combined with 3d film, it's is so amusing, I like! I rode Jumpin' Jellyfish, visited Ariel Playground, etc. I didn't ride the scary roller coasters, so I'd like to visit again. Oh yes, I enjoyed the gondola ride so much.

The park was really interesting and we really enjoyed ourselves. I was on the fence about going, but I'm glad we went. They have some unique rides that the other Disney Parks don't have. Their "castle" is really amazing to look at. My concern was the wait times. We went during low tourism and even then, the wait times were all over an hour for each ride. Fast Passes were not in service. That said, we were able to ride almost everything we wanted. The only one we unfortunately had to miss was Toy Story as it had a 2 hour wait time.
For vegetarians visiting, they had a few options for food. I recommend the vegetarian curry in the Aladdin area.
I read this place was geared more towards adults than children. I disagree with that. There is plenty to do for all ages, and there are many rides specifically for little ones.
Brenna Goldie — Google review
It was a great experience. An umbrella for shade during the summer months would be good. I came with my teenagers who like the big rides, these can be done in one day. We did 2 days but wish we had done 1 day. The park is very well attended, clean and friendly. Plenty of food to choose from, highly recommend checking the snack shacks as they each have a different snack which were good.
They gave thought to most lines being in the shade. Indoor kid area to cool off in the summer months. The rail was simple to use and get to the park.
Buying the park tickets from the US is not easy to do. I wasn’t able to buy from the Disney site but buying from klook worked perfect!

DisneySea offers a brand new park to enjoy that unique to only Japan. The theme here is very western Europe based. The ride selection isn't extensive but has enough to keep you occupied for most of the day. The food choices are plentiful so you can really spend the day munching away on some awesome cuisine options.

Oh boy, what can I say about Tokyo DisneySea that hasn't been said. I wouldn't consider myself a huge Disney fan by any means, but I think that's why it's easier to enjoy DisneySea. The park doesn't constantly throw Disney reference at you! You get to experience how amazing the immersion of Disney does without the random reference to throw you off. I went here with my significant other plus two friends, and we had a great time. The park does have an app that allows for fast tracking your way to certain rides, but on the day that I went, we actually didn't have to wait that long for any rides. The food was delicious. We had gotten food at two restaurants and hit up many snacks stands for popcorn and churros. I would recommend the curry and garlic shrimp flavor popcorn for savory lovers out there! They have many gift shops with tons of unique designs and merchandise to buy. It's currently the 40-year anniversary, so they have a ton of items revolving around that. There's loads of things to do, we came to the park almost when they opened and left after the fireworks and still didn't see the entire park! The entire park wasn't crowded until the end when we started to buy merchandise. I would recommend going earlier for those if you want to grab things because it'll be like sardines in a can in every shop! The shows and attractions are spoken in Japanese, but they do have a few lore and story bits written in English sprinkled throughout the park. Overall amazing experience, and I would definitely go again.

Happiest place on earth!
Disney just got it right here!
So much detail in every corner!
The rides aren’t the most hair raising or scary but they are done very very well.
The food is great and the atmosphere is so very Disney.
It’s only downside as with pretty much everything in Japan are the line ups to the rides. You can help that but getting various fast pass type tickets at an extra cost.
Overall….Well done Disney👌👌

Don't waste your money and time for queue if you are thinking of visiting this place during Japan holidays or peak season. You are just eventually paying tickets to queue. Go back sleep better. Their staffs were all fake smiling like wear a mask. All the rides are not thrilling at all. We are so disappointed and not worth the waited, these ride feels like they are mainly catered for kids, cannot be compare to universal studio rides.

Yeah it's different but in a good way.
Some rides not really Disney orientated and leans more to Jules Vern world. Which is a good change up. More a nod to Europe in styling.
Again food here is great. Tastes good and presented well.
Queues are organised and move quickly.
Added bonus is a proper tower of terror.

Loved it. We received a warm welcome at every turn and I received wonderful customer service at the grill restaurant near Raging Spirits ride. I was alone with a toddler that needed to use the restroom right after getting all of our food. I found a staff member and he assured me he’d stay at our table to make sure our food wouldn’t be cleaned up — such a lifesaver!
Enjoyed the look and feel of the park. Kinda strange to be in Italy in Japan but kinda see the connection of the sea theme?
Was super pleased with our entire day — it wasn’t too crowded and we were leisurely able to fit in a handful of rides, eat some wonderful snacks including curry popcorn and a mango churro sundae dessert (both of which I highly recommend!), and fit in a night show within 8 hours. We will call the day a success!

One of the best Disney resorts in the world! Had a great time here.
All of the lands were themed and super pretty. Food was average and above but cheap coming from the US. Must try the alien mochi!
Seemed to be mostly local which was surprising. I would recommend purchasing the fast passes and doing the 40th anniversary free fast pass. Rides were on average a lot shorter than the US.
If you don’t know Japanese skip the shows!

Tokyo DisneySea is an enchanting experience for the whole family!
The park's unique themes and attractions captivate all ages, especially the kids.
From thrilling rides to spectacular shows, every moment is filled with magic and joy.
The attention to detail in each themed area is remarkable, making you feel like you're in a different world.
The staff's friendliness and the park's cleanliness add to the overall fantastic experience.
It's a perfect blend of adventure and wonder - a must-visit for any family looking for a memorable day out. Truly a 5-star destination!
Tokyo Disneyland is a popular theme park featuring thrilling rides, live entertainment, and beloved characters. In addition to the park, visitors can explore nearby attractions such as the Tsukiji and Toyosu fish markets and Odaiba, an artificial island with various activities including shopping malls and the famous Gundam Statue. One of the standout rides at Tokyo Disneyland is a unique take on the Indiana Jones adventure, offering a similar exhilarating experience with some new twists in its storyline and show elements.
Wonderful! Even though It was rainy Sunday, there were full of stories and magical sighting seeings!
Not so long waiting time for each attraction. Food from Chinese restaurant, named by China voyager, so quite good.
Many of staff were welcoming and nice enough to enjoy all. No English voice guide, but it was easy to fully involved into with very well known Disney’s stories.

I went as a solo traveler and have never been to any Disney Park previously, so my experience is very unbiased and tailored towards other solo travelers as the experience would definitely be different with family and/or friends.
The atmosphere and park layout were great! The queues weren't too long, granted I did go on a Tuesday. There are plenty of water fountains and vending machines around if you get thirsty, as well as many food places too.
The rides (as a solo adult male) were only okay in my opinion though. There was really only one or two exciting rides and they were average. My favourite ride was surprisingly the Star Wars one, that had you immersed even in the queue and the mini space experience was memorable.
The staff are probably the friendliest staff I have ever encounter in my life. Every single one of them were enthusiastic and smiling constantly.
The price was more than reasonable for entry to the park, as well as the cost of food and vending machines.
As a solo traveler, I give it 4 stars thanks to the excellent effort of the staff and the atmosphere they've created, as well as the value of cost. It loses 1 star due to the lack of any exciting or memorable rides.
All of that being said, this park seems like a fantastic place to take your kids. There looked to be a ton of rides for children, which I guess is who the park is aimed at.

We went in late March when it was raining a lot and the park doesn't provide much cover when getting around. I also got there around 7am on a Friday and it was already very busy even with the rain.
The rides where fantastic and the food was delicious though so it made up for it. It's really easy to get to by train and all the staff were so nice and helpful, it really made the experience more enjoyable.

It's Tokyo Disneyland what more is there to say! Great atmosphere and entertainment for the entire family. You will feel like a kid inside and have a blast. Experience the nostalgia of seeing familiar themes and characters.
Things to be mindful of, check the schedule for events at such as the light show or fireworks. Look for updates of rides or themes that may be down due maintenance or renovations. Depending on the time of year bring blankets, umbrellas or a pair of sunglasses. Express passes are available for purchase for those who want to experience more of the theme park at a more reasonable time. (If you have electronic media devices I advise using them while you are waiting line, or have a friendly conversation with those around you who also came to visit, there are likely just as friendly and excited to be there. People from all around the world visit this theme park!) Parking is fair and decent considering that most people use the public railways to reach the theme park. So vehicle traffic is actually quite minimal at least when I visited on a Tuesday 😅)
Food at the theme park is decent nothing ground breaking but satisfying. The souvenir shops are one of the best places to visit. Budget accordingly and have a great time with either your friends or family. Take pictures and save memories that will last. You will enjoy your visit *Guaranteed 😊 (in my opinion)

A fun attraction that is a must do if in Tokyo. The lines were not very long during this time of year but was still fairly busy. Small theme park compared to the states, but still worth the visit. If you stay at the resort hotels, it is easy to get to and from the parks with the monorail system, very convenient. It is also easily accessible via train if staying off site. Lots of places to eat.

My recent visit to Tokyo Disneyland during the New Year was nothing short of magical. The park, adorned with festive decorations, truly captured the spirit of the season, making it a perfect destination to ring in the New Year.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Tokyo Disneyland is the exceptional service provided by the staff. Every staff member I encountered was not only friendly but also went out of their way to ensure that each guest had a memorable experience. Their attention to detail and dedication to guest satisfaction is commendable and added significantly to the overall enjoyment of my visit.
The New Year celebrations at Tokyo Disneyland are a unique blend of traditional Japanese customs and Disney magic. The special events and shows put together for the occasion were fantastic, with vibrant performances and stunning fireworks that lit up the night sky, creating an enchanting atmosphere.
Additionally, the rides and attractions were as enjoyable as ever, with each one meticulously maintained and operated. The cleanliness and organization throughout the park were impressive, even with the large holiday crowds.
The variety and quality of food available were also noteworthy, with a range of options catering to different tastes and preferences.
Overall, Tokyo Disneyland during the New Year is an experience I would highly recommend. The combination of friendly staff, festive atmosphere, thrilling rides, and cultural celebrations makes it a must-visit destination.

if there's a chance, i highly recommend experiencing Disneyland as a solo traveler. while it may be challenging to capture pictures of yourself, even with a tripod, amidst the crowds, the perks include faster access to some of the rides, which is incredible. thanks to their app, which provides real-time waiting times and ride notices (for instance, the Beauty and the Beast ride had maintenance for about 1.5 hours before reopening), I was able to manage riding almost all of them.
bought my ticket at around 9,800yen and it think it's worth it.

The park itself looks beautiful and there are so many things to do and this park is also very clean and efficient. Some days there are too many people, causing delays in playing the rides but every ride is really fun from children's rides to thrilling rides.

I spent the time travelling with my friend at Tokyo Disneyland in winter in october 2017. The services here were so excellently. there was a theme park map that described the landmarks, amusement park rides, restaurants, toilets, etc. that were very easy to understand. Or if you had some questions, you could ask the staff in every amusement park ride. For the cleanliness, It was very clean because there were bins in every area. That’s nice and comfortable!. The thing that made this place special was the tourists could wear the costume or accessories to match this place. It felt approachable and enjoyable to this amusement park. Of all of them, this place was one of my favourite amusement parks.

Amazing place that is worth the long flight from wherever in the world you've come from.
You have to buy tickets online then scan your QR code at the gate. Can get very busy and some rides were up to 90 mins wait. Takes a while to get food as well. However the staff are brilliant and you name it, they've thought of it.
The place will well exceed your expectations and is literally the happiest place on earth. Enjoy.

Super enjoyable theme park, different spin on the classic Disney encountered in the us but very fun and exciting. Very impressed with the new beauty and the beast ride, such great decor and generally a fun experience. We used the priority pass a few times, which made waiting for the big queues very manageable but it was a little on the expensive side for it to be charged as a per person per ride cost. The park was very quiet on the weekday versus the weekend, almost a night and day difference. Overall, a great Disney park.

No matter how early you come, there will be a line to do something. The entry line was something I have not experienced since Aftershock Festival in Sacramento. After security it is pretty much smooth sailing through ticket check. Then you are at the mercy of the queues for rides. Food is good, popcorn is better. There is beer available and plenty of souvenirs. Rated a four due to length of queues for rides.

It was a great experience for sure! The line going in was long which is to be expected for any Disney park you go to in the world. The food was reasonably priced and very good! I suggest bringing your own food if you can. The train is the best option to get there! Tickets are not easy to buy online but try to buy the day of, that works for me.

I only wanted to visit to experience the Beauty and The Beast ride. We queued for 3.5+ hours, which almost broke me (on tired and swollen ankles from flying), with no places to sit/rest in the queue. The ride itself is a solid 5 magical stars, and I become quite emotional in the ballroom at the end as it was so enchanting. Didn't want to do anything else as the queues were endless - even for popcorn. Grabbed some food and some gifts and left.

It was amazing to finally get to go to a Disney park as I had never been before. While it was all pretty magical, it was chaotic in terms of how many people were there with up to 2 hours waiting for any of the non-reserved restaurants (with the reserved ones being booked well before the day). Not a lot of choice for Mickey Ears, but every type you could imagine for Minnie. Didn't go on any rides, even with priority access there was over an hour wait per ride in the harsh sun. Snack foods from the stalls we lined up at were super cute and tasty!

I like beauty and the beast so much. If u don't want to wait the long queue, u can buy fast pass.
Don't forget to try ice-cream at here. The parade is the best.
There are so much souvenirs and so cute.
Lelee Huang — Google review
Prepare to wait in line for pretty much everything 😅 Plus, all the parades and the fireworks were cancelled due to the weather. However, I can understand this because it was a pretty windy day.
I do feel like they let way too many people in. It ruins the fun especially as you pay a lot to get in just to spend half the day waiting in line.
I highly recommend booking restaurants, attractions and anything else you can reserve!
Kathryn S. — Google review
Incredible place! Make sure you get there up to and hour before opening as everyone is queuing before. Once the queue gets going it’s quick.
Secondly be prepared to buy fast passes unless you want to wait 100-200 minutes to get on a ride.
The was passes were 1500 yen per person per ride. You need to do this as soon as you get in the park. There is also a time delay until you can buy another one.
At the time we went there was some 40 year priority pass which was free to book per ride but had a 120 minute wait before you could book another one.
Between those two things we managed to book 4 main rides whilst waiting for the smaller less busy rides 30-40 minute waits.
If you don’t do that you will wait the 100-200 minutes as from the first minute it opens until close the times do not change much.

it's a magical wonderland that deserves every bit of its five-star rating! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
From the moment we stepped foot into the park, we were transported to a world of enchantment and excitement. The attention to detail, the vibrant colors, and the whimsical atmosphere made us feel like we were living in a fairytale.
But it wasn't just about the rides and attractions – although they were absolutely incredible. It was the smiles on everyone's faces, the laughter echoing through the streets, and the sense of pure joy that filled the air. It's the kind of place where you can't help but feel like a kid again, no matter how old you are.
And let's not forget about the food! From delicious Mickey-shaped treats to mouthwatering snacks from around the world, every bite was a culinary adventure in itself.
Overall, Tokyo Disney exceeded all our expectations and then some. It's a place where dreams come true, memories are made, and the magic never fades. If you ever find yourself in Tokyo, do yourself a favor and experience the wonder of Tokyo Disney – you won't regret it! 🏰✨

Tokyo Disneyland is a fantastic destination, especially during New Year's. Despite its close proximity (just 90 minutes from home), we opted to visit early and stay until night, creating a magical experience. The park was bustling with crowds, and we had to utilize lockers (900 yen/24hrs) for our large bags located a bit far from the main entrance. With a 5-year-old in tow, navigating the various attractions proved challenging due to varying wait times (ranging from 180 to 30 minutes). Despite this, the evening electrical parade left us with unforgettable memories. Tokyo Disneyland is a must-visit, offering a unique and enchanting experience for families.

It’s a great Disney park with loads to do. With the 40th anniversary fast passes, I managed to do 10 rides. The wait times were usually pretty okay and most restaurants weren’t as busy so you had no wait.
The one thing that bothered me was the opening time. It’s advertised to open at 8am, by 8:45am thousands of people were cramped between security screening and entry gates. No communication what’s happening until suddenly the tv screens show they open at 9am, however at the same time, the gates open on the west side and visitors are let through, while the people waiting on the east gates had to wait until 9am.
Tata — Google review
Cute, fun place for all ages but definitely has more appeals for couples and families. The app is actually pretty good as it shows live wait times at each ride and location of each ride/show. Also let's you book in timed entries and pay for premier/express access.
The popular rides have long wait times throughout the day, so it may be worth paying for premier access (around 1500 yen per ride) if you're keen to save time.
Not the place to come for rollercoasters, but perfect if you enjoy seeing the characters and themed areas.

The Sankyo Frontier Kashiwa Stadium offers a fantastic atmosphere with non-stop drums, trumpets and singing from an enthusiastic crowd throughout the entire match. Even high up seats at the back provide a cool breeze. However, visitors should bring their own cold drinks as stalls often run out of ice or sell lukewarm soft drinks. Very cool definitely go to the top of you ever get a chance very fun and awesome views of Tokyo.

Great overall experience and I would place this above the Tokyo tower for many reasons. The line to get in does take a while, and can be a little tricky to find the start of, so plan to arrive at the general area a few minutes in advance. The views are great and there are countless spots to eat in and around the tower. It will take a little longer than you would like to leave the tower from either floor. The second floor was nice, but not much different from a view perspective than the first floor. You can easily spend a few hours in this area and I'd suggest planning on no less than 90 minutes.

We arrived here about an hour before our ticketed time and had early bird tickets and scan the code and went in, such an easy process. I had used the official Skytree website as the travel websites didn't have the right time slots available. The views at the first stop, 350m, were spectacular. And then we went up to 450m and wow! We got to see MT Fuji in the distance against the sunset.a lot of people crowding for photos but we managed to get a decent view and it was well worth it.

My visit to the Tokyo Skytree was nothing short of mesmerizing. Rising elegantly against the Tokyo skyline, it stands as a symbol of innovation and modernity.
During the day, the panoramic views from the observation decks were simply breathtaking. I could see Tokyo stretching out endlessly in every direction, with its maze of streets and towering buildings creating a vibrant tapestry below.
As night fell, the Skytree transformed into a dazzling spectacle of lights. The cityscape sparkled and shimmered, and I was captivated by the beauty of Tokyo illuminated against the dark sky. The Skytree itself was adorned with colorful lights, adding to the magical ambiance of the evening.
One of the highlights of my visit was staying in a nearby hotel, which offered unparalleled views of the Skytree. Witnessing its majestic presence both during the day and at night allowed me to appreciate its architectural brilliance from different perspectives.
Overall, my experience at the Tokyo Skytree was unforgettable. It's not just a towering structure but a symbol of Tokyo's dynamism and spirit. Whether day or night, the Skytree offers an enchanting glimpse into the heart of this bustling metropolis.

One of the tallest structures in the world.
You can go to two different platforms the higher one costing slightly more. I definitely recommend the combo ticket.
Waiting for the elevators was not too bad at 2:30 on a Thursday but would expect it to be incredibly busy at the weekends.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
The shop had a number of souvenirs.
There is a cafe but this will need booking in advance.
Oh, and there is the view. On a good day you can see parts of Yokohama and if you are lucky, Mount Fuji is visible too.
Would recommend buying tickets in advance but you will need to specify a date and a time for your visit.
One of the best places to spend a couple of hours in Tokyo.

Expensive, but so worth it! Perfect for families and dates with loved ones. There are plenty of photo opportunities to be had here and the views are simply marvelous. Sunset is the best time to be here. Children under 5 are admitted free. There is a sky bar with snacks, ice creams and yummy cocktails. The Tropical cocktail was quite nice at 634 meters up!

Tokyo Skytree is a must-visit attraction for anyone visiting Tokyo. Standing at 634 meters, it is the tallest tower in Japan and offers breathtaking views of the city from its two observation decks. The tower is located in Sumida, Tokyo and is easily accessible by train.
One of the highlights of my visit to Tokyo Skytree was watching the sunset from the observation deck. The 360-degree views of the city and its surroundings were truly stunning. I was also lucky enough to witness the rare phenomenon known as ‘Diamond Fuji’, where the sunset and sunrise align perfectly with the peak of Mount Fuji, creating a spectacular, jewel-like image.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Tokyo Skytree for its stunning views and unique experiences.

It was crowded, but the queue went fast until you get to the elevators to go upstairs. When you get up, it's very crowded. The food and drink is relatively expensive but also not too expensive. The view is phenomenal but it will be difficult to take photos of you. Unfortunately, I wasn't at the top because the tickets were all already sold out, so if you want to go to the top, book the tickets in advance, but even if you don't want to go to the top, I would recommend reserving the ticket!

Amazing views of the city at the top, it's worth buying both tickets for the 2 top floors.
Nice cafe at the top too selling corn dogs, I bought 3 for myself 😋, your ears start to pop the closer to the top as elevators are quick.
Massive shopping centre downstairs with a pokemon centre and other shops for traditional Japanese items, we also got a caricature done which was really fun and everything was reasonably priced.
Outside was a Christmas market with lots of warm food to try.
Smoking area outside.

As a tourist this was well worth the time and money. Amazing views of Tokyo/Yokohama. Can even faintly see Mount Fuji in the distance. Mind boggling that the city stretches from horizon to horizon. The viewing decks have many interesting things to see, and the tower base complex has several other attractions. I recommend it.

Visiting Tokyo Skytree was an unforgettable experience! The panoramic views from the observation decks were absolutely breathtaking, offering a stunning glimpse of Tokyo's vast urban landscape. The structure itself is a marvel of modern architecture, with its sleek design and impressive height. The Skytree Town below also provided plenty of shopping and dining options, adding to the overall experience. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the queues can be quite long, especially during peak hours, but the views are definitely worth the wait. A must-visit attraction for anyone exploring Tokyo!

Visiting Tokyo Skytree was really fun and exciting, but also very busy. It’s a super tall tower in Tokyo that lots of people want to see. When I got there, I saw a long line of people waiting to buy tickets. But, I found out that buying tickets online is smarter because you don’t have to wait as long. You still have to get your tickets from a machine when you arrive, but it saves you about half an hour of standing in line.
The place was packed with people, but they have a good system for getting everyone up to the top. There are several elevators that take you up to where you can see the views. And wow, the views are amazing! You can see all over Tokyo from up there. There’s even a higher spot you can go to for even better views.
For those who like taking photos, this is a great place. You can get some really nice shots of the city. They also have a special elevator for people in wheelchairs, which is really thoughtful. Plus, there’s a place to grab some food and even a service where professionals can take your photo.
The only not-so-great part is how crowded it gets. But other than that, going to Tokyo Skytree is a lot of fun and something I think everyone should do if they visit Tokyo.

We got tickets online (same day) for just at dusk. It was perfect. While it was super busy, everything flows like a well oiled machine. The views were exceptional. It was really nice having snacks available at the top and an extensive souvenir shop downstairs. It was neat walking down a couple floors to a glass bottom floor and getting to see Tokyo underneath you. It was definitely worth the admission!

Highly recommend spending the 3100¥ on the combo ticket to go all the way up! The views are stunning! I recommend going before sunset ti get daytime views and watch the sun set in Mt. Fuji! Being able to see the other mountains were stunning backdrops to the vast Tokyo city!
There are maps in English and Japanese so you can join what areas you're looking on.
We paid using a machine with credit card the day of, no wait onna Friday afternoon. Plenty of bathrooms on each floor. There are 2 cafes, I recommend the one where you can have a seat and enjoy the view on the lowest floor before you exit.

It's was a good visit for weekend, it takes 3-4 hours to visit the top of sky tree. It's was very crowded and each times for using elevator need to spend minimum 20 minutes in line. If you visit it close to evening you can see a beautiful evening and also you can see the city on night mode with lots of lights.
Place is clean and beautiful. The price for adults is 3400 yen. The elevator speed is 600m per minute. It was good feeling use fast elevator.
Mehdi Sadeghian — Google review
An advice : don’t pay the extra price to go to the upper deck, it’s exactly the same view you get at the lower deck (only 50m difference), no difference at all except the price.
You have a nice 360° view of the city but that’s pretty much it, crowded with groups and kids running around.
For the price there is so much more interesting to do and see in Tokyo than this, save your money !!

For those seeking a stunning 360-degree perspective of Tokyo City up to Mount Fuji, Tokyo Skytree is the place to be, especially in a clear sky day. Just be aware that the attraction tends to draw a significant number of tourists, leading to notable crowds. The day I visited in Nov 2023 it was full with foreign tourists. So plan accordingly, as you may encounter extended queues and wait times during your visit.
Sandeepa Palipana — Google review
Worth a visit on a clear day! We could easily buy tickets on klook and saved 200yen per adult and only bought the tickets just an hour before we went up. Kids had fun up there too! Need to buy tickets above the age of 6.
Efficient and no lines at the entrance. You can buy at the door immediately even at 6pm (weekday)
Stunning view at night. We didn't try during the day. We paid extra to go higher to 450m. It's not a must
The view was good enough from the 350m actually. Possibly better? There is a little cafe and toilet facilities on each floor. Although it was busy at the top, it didn't affect the view at all. Don't miss the area where we can stand on the glass floor. Souvenir shop is cute too!

Visiting Tokyo Skytree was an absolute delight! Compared to Tokyo Tower, I found Tokyo Skytree to be superior in terms of both view and facilities. However, Tokyo Tower has its own unique charm that shouldn't be overlooked.
If I had to pick just one, Tokyo Skytree would win hands down, especially for its breathtaking nighttime views of Tokyo city. The experience was truly unforgettable, making Tokyo Skytree a must-visit attraction in Tokyo!

Amazing 360 views of the entire city. You’ll get a different experience depending on the time of day you go. May get a bit crowded but for the most part easy to walk around and take some great pictures. Easy to purchase tickets right on site, nice souvenir shop inside and located next to the mall. Great place to visit while in Tokyo.

There are many Skytree and Towers across the Japan. This one is one of them. We visited around late afternoon. It was still crowded due to Weekend. There is almost nil waiting despite of heavy crowd. We didn’t go all the way top and took the tickets for 65th floor, reached there in super quick elevator. Very well management, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the city, you can also enjoy night view since it gets dark early during the winter. We enjoyed the sunset and Fuji San view from the top. Good experience.

Typical tourist attraction. You can really see how big Tokyo is from the observation deck. I like that the 4 elevators are decorated for each season. Purchased same day tickets for the last available time 7:30 p.m. or 19:30 p.m. and it was packed. Plus it was super hot in there because of the amount of people. Only had about 30 seconds on the glass floor.

Visited the Tokyo Skytree as part of a package tour organized by Japan Panoramic Tours. The best part of the tour was that we could go straight up without any wait, when there were endless long queue otherwise. If you are visiting independently be prepared to wait in queue 1 to 2 hours. Visited the Tembo deck floor 350 meter, then 345 and 340, which has the glass floor. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping options at the Skytree. The 360 degree view of the Tokyo city was nice. I guess it would be better in the evenings to see the city lights. But if someone is not able to visit it, don't worry, you are not missing much.

Love Observation decks, the higher the better!
Missed out on the skytree on my last visit so super happy I made it this time.
Booked tickets online and staff were great at navigating so many people while remaining friendly and professional.
The views were outstanding and worth going to the highest level.
Got a few shots of Fuji too!
There was also panorama shots with labels as to what was in the direction you're looking which is cool!
It was mind blowing and could have spent all morning here.

It is a magnificent structure. The elevators are very fast so get ready to feel the pressure in your ears. It is very well organised when you enter and the queue goes relatively fast despite all the crowds. You will have 360 degrees view of greater Tokyo are. The views are breathtaking. There is a restaurant up top. We had lunch there but you need a prior reservation. There is a cafe as well without any need to reserve. I recommend going up there

The effort to build this tallest observation deck is to be praised.
Big crowd even on a weekday. Crowd management is excellent.
Even though you buy tickets online and hot the online voucher, you still line up to get physical tickets. It doesn't take long though.
Go to the entrance 5-10 minutes before the time slot you pick.

The place is good for shopping cute things for children and kids at heart. The place has an amazing view up there. We had our photos taken for a souvenir. We got a cute stamp for the brochure and we contributed to the growing tree of cherry blossoms all over the world. It was a wonderful experience.

You need to get tickets for this beforehand or you will be waiting around. There is plenty to do while you wait, if you are into shopping around. It is difficult to get good pictures or videos because of all of the window panes and not being able to get right up against the glass in a lot of places. There are tons of people here. Still worth it to go up to the 450 m.

Sensō-ji, Tokyo's oldest temple, was constructed in 645 to honor Kannon, the goddess of mercy. It is located in Asakusa, a spiritual and historical center of the city. The temple features a 3.3-meter-high red paper lantern and incense believed to have healing properties. Surrounding the temple is a vibrant street market offering various traditional items for sale.
Beautiful temple
The shopping street and district around it are full of life. There are plenty of restaurants to dine at, cafes to eat at, shops to buy souvenirs from.. if you like Shiba, I'd recommend checking out one of the Shiba Cafe nearby
Note, it's extremely crowded on New Years, and entering the temple to pray can easily take an hour or more.
Enjoy!

Absolutely one of my favorite spots in Tokyo. Yes, very touristy but if you want iconic photos I'd argue this is THE spot for them. Lots of food and trinket vendors in the area and if you time it well, you may catch a local celebration which brings even more energy and food vendors to the area! As a bonus, you can purchase a range of blessings inside the temple. There are a range of Wonderful and historical items to view in this general area as well.

We went there at 8am as it is a stone away from our accommodation. It was raining that morning so maybe that is the reason why only a few tourists are there, and we pass by the stores that mostly close at that time. Lovely to see the intricate connection details, the big lantern, pagoda, and the main temple. After a short tour, we decided to buy some snacks that are filled with red beans and it was delicious. When we are heading outside the temple at 9am, we were greeted by the big influx of tourist.

The place was crowded but it was well worth it. Many stone carvings and statues around the grounds. There were lots of stands selling things or all types statues, mask, food and other souvenir worthy things. The temple itself was beautiful. A whole lotta red. You can pray or give thanks and they sell charms inside too.

The temple buildings and grounds are beautiful. The architecture is stunning, grounds immaculate, and vibe amazing for Tokyo.
Coming from the main gate, you go through many vendors selling food, drinks, and souvenirs before you get to the temple itself. It's an extremely touristy in that area, and after early morning, it gets extremely busy and crowded. After you pass the crowds in the street market, it gets quieter so you can enjoy the temple itself more. So whether you go for the street vendor atmosphere or the temple itself, it's definitely worth a visit.

Visited before during the day in the past, felt like I was drifting in a sea of people, ha ha. This time I visited at night on a weekday and it was awesome; fewer people and the structures were far more vivid at night under both spotlight and moonlight.
Surrounded by markets and restaurants, cool place for a late night stroll. Pagoda was my favourite structure overall, seemed like fewer people were interested in it for some reason.

Very crowded and popular tourist attraction. I went on the weekend and I am sure it was much busier than on a weekday. I came by train and the station was very close and convenient and very crowded.
Many tourists were dressed in traditional Japanese kimonos which made the experience particularly nice. The temple itself is very beautiful. There were a lot of people burning incense which I assume has some religious significance. Also there are these boxes that have fortune telling papers. You shake a container and randomly pull a stick out of it which has a number which tells you which drawer to get your fortune.
The adjacent shopping area has a huge selection of shops selling traditional Japanese souvenirs and products. Also many restaurants offering primarily Japanese cuisine including Sushi restaurants.
This tourist attraction is well worth a visit for the ambience alone but also for shopping and eating.

You guys probably already know that this is an amazing great tourist attraction to visit.
Even though the vendors are closed in the evening or at night, I recommend coming here at night as the shrine and temples are nicely lit and it is just different vibe compared to during the day. It is also less crowded for all the introverts who just want to enjoy a stroll.
If you come at night when the shops are closed, you can see the mural paintings depicting the festivities that occur in the shrine throughout time. It is pretty cool.

The temple is truly majestic! Its grand, solid architecture and vibrant colors stand out. Particularly famous for its colossal lanterns at the entrance, guiding visitors into the magnificent hall.
Surrounding the temple are numerous shops offering food and various trinkets. An enjoyable activity is dressing up in a Kimono and strolling toward the temple for picturesque moments. You'll find several excellent rental shops near the entrance.
Located just a 10-minute walk from the rail station, plan for 1-2 hours to explore the temple and its surroundings. If you're opting for the Kimono experience, allocate a generous 3-4 hours for a leisurely stroll. They also offer handwritten goshuin, making it a definite must-visit.

Came in the morning and night, and was surprised at how different the vibes are. Hands down I liked night better as it’s more tranquil and more temple vibes compared to morning where there are so many tour groups even though we came at 9am. The temple looks nice when lit up too. Maybe it’s nicer if the sky is clear as we went on a cloudy day. See pictures for comparison. Can go there both morning and night to see the difference for yourself.

In 2024, cherry blossom flowers bloom later than before due to the cold blast in the last week of March.

I spent a lot of time here just soaking in the nature. I write this in late November, and although I didn't get to see the cherry blossoms in bloom, I did see the Ginkgo trees going green to yellow. If you watch these trees as the sunset starts you would see them look like shining gold. I happened to catch a Ninja Fest event by accident, there was some really cool stage entertainment and food stands (cash only). Plus the Tokyo National Museum is here and a zoo, so you could literally spend days at this single park.

Nice little park. There’s a temple nearby and food vendors. I tried the cucumber from one of the vendors and that was no good. Flowers are about to be in full bloom. As of April 2 most of the trees have started to bloom.

Sakura aren't blooming fully yet, but it was still fun to walk around, plenty of street food stands and popup bars serving delicious food and alcoholic drinks. Festival atmosphere. Highly recommend to spend a few hours exploring, even if you aren't interested in going to any of the museums or zoo

Get off from JR Ueno station. The park is big with many cherry species you may spend 0.5 day there. There are places for a break and a drink. It's worthy to visit the national museum or animal zoo together. Photos were taken on 27 March 2023. Hope it helps everyone!

A big park. It can get busy. There are food stalls, toilets and garbage bins. The lake contained some discarded plastic containers. Come on people, put in the bins not leave it for the fish and turtles.
Great place for dogs and people watching.

Despite us visiting March 30 (in 2024), the cherry blossoms had not bloomed, and that's one of the key attractions for this park. That's a shame, because we traveled all this way. There would otherwise be boulevards lined with cherry blossoms, but in their place we only saw barren tree barks. Still, it was bustling and a lively place for people watching.

Very easy to get to upon exit on any train stations. There's subway and JR rail access.
The park is huge surrounded by museums you can explore. The national japanese museum is also here so you have plenty of things to explore during the day. Went here on winter time. Guessing its perfect time for spring with all cherry blossoms.
Kashiwanoha Park is an expansive park renowned for its daimyo oaks and other regional trees, featuring a tranquil pond, splendid rose gardens and a charming tea house. This enormous park boasts two stadiums and an extensive two-kilometer running track, complemented by vast flat green areas ideal for picnicking, complete with ample wooden chairs for seating.
The park is huge. There's 2 stadium inside it. It has 2 km running tracks that loops. Lots of green flat ground for picnic. If you didn't bring your picnic carpet, it has plenty of wooden chairs available.

Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, a former estate turned 144-acre park, was originally created as a recreational garden for the Imperial family. It is an Important Cultural Property and features three types of gardens: English, French, and Japanese. Throughout the year, the park hosts various events such as photography lessons, chrysanthemum flower exhibitions, and traditional Japanese art performances.
Went here for the second time and love it more! The garden is clean and spacious. Cherry blossoms can still be seen even though it is already at the end of April. There are also few tea houses and Starbucks in this garden. Great park for doing picnics and walking.

After a very heavy first night in Japan, I headed here to wander through the beautiful gardens. If anything is going to clear your head and help give you clarity in life it is this place! Sitting on the grass and looking into the distance you can see the city of Japan and it's beautiful skyline of buildings. The park was so quiet and serene, with so many pretty flowers and greenery. I remember many times in Japan on my trip, but this place was definitely one of them. Loved it

Every time I visit, it feels like stepping into an oasis in the middle of a desert. The park offers a variety of seasonal flowers, plants, historical buildings, and even a modern Starbucks. If you're looking to escape the crowds of Tokyo, this place can be quite refreshing.
There is an entrance fee of 500 yen. It might seem a bit expensive compared to other parks, but the park is well-maintained and beautiful. I especially like the grassy areas in the park.
Just a friendly reminder that bringing alcohol and pets inside the park is not allowed.

If you are looking for a greenhouse, it may be easier to get off at Shinjuku Gyoen Station or Yotsuya Sanchome Station and enter from Okido Gate.
The parking lot is also at Okido Gate, so it's the same when you go by car.
When using strollers, wheelchairs, walking aids, etc.
The botanical garden is open for everyone to enjoy, so the passage from the entrance gate to the greenhouse is wide and flat, but there is an incline point that makes you feel as if you are actually exploring nature.
toilet
There is a toilet in the greenhouse near the entrance.
plant
Rare plants were in full bloom.
I was moved by the dynamic yet elegant atmosphere.
The entrance fee is 500 yen, but this should be raised!
I want to go again! I thought.

Plenty of clean toilets... especially if you need a number two from having too much sushi.

Outstanding garden. Beautiful trees and landscaping including ponds/small lakes. Was ultra surprised to see some cherry blossom trees in full bloom when other parks didn’t have them yet due to the cooler weather. This year the blossoms were delayed in most places. Definitely a beautiful park to walk and spend a couple of hours. Check out Shin near by for a good lunch.

Expansive park with areas of many different feels to enjoy. Great for families, couples, and solos. It's often crowded (especially the Starbucks inside, so bring in your own from the one just outside the park #lifehack). I liked the recent special chrysanthemum exhibit.

One of my favorite park in Tokyo. Huge amount of open space and tons of well maintained trees and greens and different types of flowers. We saw lots of roses late autumn still. But we missed most of the foliage.
If you want a quick escape from this big city, this is a must go. Best for picnic on a mild sunny day.
You also see there are couple coffee and tea shops to relax a bit.

Peaceful park at the center of Shinjuku that is one of the most congested areas in Tokyo. It costs $5 or so to enter, but on the flip side, you can enjoy a very clean and peaceful park with a rich nature. The cherry blossoms here are something you need to see if you come to Japan in spring. Highly recommend a place to visit, whether you are a tourist or not.

One of the most beautiful parks during cherry blossom season. Absolutely stunning during that time. There is a large selection of different cherry tree species and most plants have small labels.
I can recommend having tea and some sweets in the tea house in the center of the garden.

Beautiful garden. Visited in mid-February 2024 and cherry blossoms were starting to bloom. Grass lawns were yellow though. Lots of people and young families come here to picnic or eat lunch on benches or grass lawns. There’s a student and senior discount on tickets too (250 yen versus regular 500 yen price).

Just about a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku station, this park should be a must visit for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of shopping for which Shinjuku is famous. Yes, it costs 500 yen for adults to enter, but to access these lawns, small woods, greenhouse, the Japanese gardens, and other features I'd consider this a bargain! Just walking around and enjoying sitting on the lawn or a bench is a lovely way to spend a morning or afternoon and recharge - many people will pick up food for a picnic on the way from the station. Inside, the park is very well signposted, and points of historical interest have information in English. This provision of information extends down to trees and plants being labelled, even in the main park. The whole place is usually spotlessly clean, and one of the few public places that still has rubbish bins. There are vending machines, as well as a shop selling traditional Japanese desserts. Toilets are free, modern, quite clean and have soap dispensers. Just remember to check the opening hours, as the park closes in the afternoon!

This garden is a must visit in Tokyo, the scenery is spectacular giving you a Insta worthy photo in any angle. The garden is great for any age. The park was so quite and a great place to clear your mind or just rest.
On my first day in Japan I took it easy and headed there for a few hours to ready up for the days ahead of me! The gardens are very well maintained with dozens of species of flowers and trees that cover like a canopy. The best time to visit is in fall where there are several colours of plants creating a beautiful contrast!
Hope this helps :)

You can purchase tickets in front of the gate or enter with a transportation IC card.
The inside was quite spacious, and some people walked for Starbucks, and many foreigners came to enjoy the scenery inside.
On the way, there was a fairly spacious lawn square, so some people had a picnic or took a nap, and it seemed comfortable.
It's a place where you can come into contact with nature in the city, and it's well-maintained, so it's clean and there aren't many insects, so I think it's perfect for a date.

The park contains a well maintained grassland. Whether just sit here and enjoy the calmness, picnic or lay down, it was just so comfortable. Fresh air, tall trees for pics, and you can easily find a coffee for a rest. It’s a very nice place to wind down.

Not a Tokyo “must see” but still a pretty park. The admission fee is justifiable for those with a student ID (about $1.50) but a little high for adults ($3.75) We spent around a few hours walking around and enjoyed the open grass areas and zen garden bridges after our first few days in Tokyo, but after going to Kyoto the next week it offered much better parks to the point where I think this park is only worth it if you aren’t planning to make it to Kyoto. Additionally the Starbucks in the center of the park has a nice view and offers some Japan only matcha flavors which I think are worth checking out if you drink coffee.

Gorgeous garden in the middle of the busy city. we came during early November, and the trees haven’t turned yellow or orange yet, still mostly green. But it is very calm. I visited the park 3x, twice at spring and once at very late winter. Surprisingly the park was beautiful in every of my visit.
In spring, the park full with old cherry blossom, the trees full with flower until its bench so low so you can take pictures by just standing near it.
In late winter, the park full with ginkgo and momiji, their yellow and red make the park very very beautiful

Great for a morning walk and will probably have a small picnic the next time there. Highly recommended

Such a phenomenal park. There are so many things to see, we saw the cherry blossoms, the greenhouse, and just the overall walkways are so pretty. You apparently need to get tickets to see the cherry blossoms on more popular days, but we went on a less popular day, and it was raining. The landscaping is impeccable. My favorite was the greenhouse, there were so many different plants to see and they had clear descriptions with each plant.

This is a lovely park with a full greenhouse and panoramic views of the city. Such a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle. I really enjoyed the greenhouse where the temperatures were tropical even though there was snow on the ground outside. Meiji Jingu is a revered Shinto shrine nestled in a lush forest, offering a serene escape from the bustling city. The annual spring festival during Golden Week pays homage to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken with traditional performances like Bugaku, Noh, Kyogen, and Kyudo tournaments. Visitors can also explore the expansive gardens adorned with seasonal blooms. Adjacent to the shrine lies Yoyogi Park, where one can enjoy picnics amidst cherry blossoms during hanami season.
Really enjoyed visiting Meiji Jingu while I was visiting Tokyo. I was fortunate enough to go a little bit after it had rained, so it was much less busy than it typically is. If you can go during less popular hours, it really helps to make this place even more of a serene little getaway within Tokyo. It's a great place for a nice walk, and if you're in Tokyo I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Lovely, serene walk beneath the shade of the trees before you get to the shrine. A relief to get away from the bustle of the city and the lure of shopping. Hear your soul speak to you as you pace through the paths. The grounds and the buildings of the Shrine themselves are also beautiful. Beware of rule about photography, particularly where at the sites where devotees are worshipping. I would say not to be missed when you're in Tokyo.

This is a really beautiful shrine. I appreciated the story behind it and walking up to it through the forest is so peaceful. There was also an impressive display of painted sake barrels and it was interesting to read about them. There were many people and the day was hot but the trees kept us cool. It's quite a magical place. When I learned that the trees were donated from all over Japan and now it's a natural forest I was really surprised. It's so beautiful and I'm thankful that such an incredible place is right here in Tokyo.

A gorgeous shrine dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shōken. My visit was particularly interesting, as it happened to be raining at the time, which I think further enhanced it's beauty. I approached the shrine through a forested path, leading into the main courtyard, which is quite open and features a stone tile floor.
The highlight of my visit was witnessing an entourage of the shrine's priests passing through the courtyard. While it's not permitted to take photos or videos of the priests, just being able to see them was a very exciting experience. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting if you're able to!

It’s definitely not your typical shrine in terms of size. However, and due to its location near Harajuku and being actually in Shibuya, even if it can get tiring exploring the whole complex, there are many people who come, foreigners and locals alike. I’ve come here for a total of 3 times in the last 8 years and the volume of people seem to be almost the same, whether it’s winter or spring. There are many parts of the shrine that’s either paid, or freely accessible but you cannot take photos of. Also, you’d definitely wait to take turns to pray at the main shrine, or get your stamp, or buy your food, or use the toilet…you get the picture.

First Shrine I visited while I was in Japan in Nov. It was a long walk in till you reach the Shrine. You can throw a coin and make a prayer at the main sanctuary (do note you can't take photos/videos of the main sanctuary where people pray as well as the souvenir stalls.) You can also purchase a hanging tablet at ¥500 & write your wishes or gratitude on it to hang near the tree.
There's a divine tree that represents good relations of husband and wife. I happened to witness a wedding procession during my visit there, was eye-opening!
On your way out, do try the savory Dango sold at Forest Terrace! It's delicious!

This shrine was stunning and very peaceful. The area has a museum and gardens that can also be visited. These have to be paid for, though the shrine is free.
Inside the shrine are two trees, known as the husband and wife trees. They are huge and quite wonderful.
Photos are not allowed of the actual shrine or the amulet selling areas, but you can take pictures in the courtyard.
The area of the shrine is large, and there is only one disability accessible toilet near the Sake display. It is a distance away from the actual shrine, so do not leave things too late. The path is gravel in areas, so it can be difficult for manual wheelchairs or for people with walking disabilities. It is possible to hire wheelchairs but there is a long walk to the hiring area.
The actual shrine and the museum are accessible. The gardens are not accessible as there are steps throughout.

This Meiji Shrine is a must-see! It's a gorgeous place to visit throughout the year. However, please remember to be respectful when you visit. This shrine is a sacred place of worship that is open to the public. So, while you enjoy the sightseeing, please be mindful that others may be actively praying around you.

One of my favorite places to visit whenever I'm visiting Tokyo. A great way to get away from it all, although the number of people and tourists seem to increase every time I come here. The Meiji Jingu is really huge, and more like a park than a temple, with a walk from any entrance requiring at least 10 minutes to get to the temple proper. But that is part of the mystique and beauty of it, with the very large and very old trees offering a covered and serene view, and the Japanese crows calling to each other in the distance or possibly right overhead.
Once at the temple, follow the posted instructions to keep quiet and respectful. Also, as taken from JAL's website: "When entering the grounds of a temple, it’s important not to step directly on the threshold of the main gate. Women should enter with their right foot first, while men enter with their left—a practice that only a few people remember." "If you wish to pray in the main hall of the temple, throw a few coins into the offering box. There is no suggested amount or specific lucky coin to consider. There is also no need to clap before you pray. Simply bow at a slight angle (some suggest 45 degrees as the ideal angle), put your hands together, and offer up your prayers. Bow once more when leaving the main hall and also as you exit the temple grounds."
A visit is highly recommended, just be respectful when you do.

This shrine, set within 70 hectares of forest, feels so far away from the busy city, but there are train stations just a short walk from here. Buying "Votive Tablets" and/or "Goshuins" are both popular amongst visitors. It makes a really nice day out to combine this with the Yoyogi Park/Gardens which have Cherry Blossoms in full bloom just now.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, designed by Kenzo Tange, features twin towers with free observation decks offering panoramic views of the Tokyo landscape. Located in Shinjuku, this government-owned complex is a must-visit for tourists. The North and South Towers both have observatories on their 45th floors, providing stunning vistas of Shinjuku's skyscraper skyline and beyond. Additionally, the South Tower houses an eye-catching yellow polka-dot piano designed by Yayoi Kusama.

The observatory is on the 45th floor at over 200m height and it is free!
So I went there twice in one day and could enjoy a beautiful sunset, with the sun setting next to Mt. Fuji.
The entrance though might be hard to find since there is a public vaccination center located there as well.
My tip: go downstairs and try the small doors on the main entrance.
Also: North-Observatory is closed as of 2022-10-22.

Great observation deck. Free and not too busy when I was there, even with one of the observation decks closed. There’s a shop, cafe, vending machines up there as well as a good amount of seating. There was also a piano with volunteer players. It really set a nice atmosphere.
The only bad thing is that you will need to walk a bit to get here. It’s not bad but just seems worse in the summer heat. It’s about the same as walking from a train station to Tokyo Tower, except this is a pretty flat walk.

Great place to visit while in Tokyo. The observation deck located 202 meters high has free access, very well organized, Japanese style. You are guided at the elevator on the way up and same goes on the way down. The elevator goes directly there, no stops in between. Please be considerate and don't jump the line, tourists might be used with that but locals don't and being in their country you should always follow the local rules.
The views from the deck are great, 360 degrees with big windows all around. Not very crowded and as a bonus there is a piano where volunteers, mostly very talented children play short pieces.
Right in the middle there is a souvenir shop offering all kind of beautiful Japanese merchandise.
If you are lucky to get there on a clear day, you can see very far having a better picture of how waste Tokyo is.
There are water fountains with cold water and also clean washrooms a level lower, very clear marked so you cannot miss it.
You might get better views from Skytree or Tokyo Tower but there you have to pay an access fee.

There's a observatory at the very top. It's free to go but can get very busy after 12pm. It's so cool that there's a piano on the same floor as the observatory where someone can play to the crowd. Such a cool atmosphere. There's windows all around where you can see all sides of Tokyo. There's also a Cafe if you need a drink.
Kev P — Google review
The building itself was not designed to be an observatory, so the windows' frame may constrain your view. However, it's free and you can still get a good view of Tokyo skyline. In addition, waiting time is acceptable. From here, you can easily visit other attractions nearby.

Went to the metropolitan towers to visit the observation deck, it was well organised for entrance to the south tower a quick bag and temperature check and then up in the lift to the 45th floor. You get great views of Tokyo area if the weather is good you can clearly see Mt Fuji.
I would definitely go again.
Paul Cash-Davis — Google review
Amazing 360 views of the city. Free entrance. During busy period there is a queue to get up to the observatory floor as there are only 2 elevators operating so plan well. Sunset times can be very busy.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is a must-visit attraction for anyone visiting Tokyo. And it's a free attraction that offers panoramic views of the city from the observatory deck on 45th floor.
The observation deck offers a 360-degree view of Tokyo, including famous landmarks like Tokyo Tower and the Tokyo Skytree. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the building itself is well-maintained and easy to navigate. There are coffee shops, restaurants and toilets available upstairs so you have plenty of facilities to choose from while visiting.
Whether you're a first-time visitor to Tokyo or a seasoned traveler, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

This was a nice place to visit. They have free observation areas with nice views. They have a gift shop and snack bar up there as well. It can get kinda crowded and hard to find a seat especially if you visit on a weekend. But I’d say it’s a must visit to get a nice view of Tokyo. Stop by if you’re in the area.

Despite a few small drawbacks it is a 5 star venue. First of all it is for free!! Secondly you will see Tokyo that cannot be seen otherwise. Thirdly you can spend a few hours there to experience an amazing panorama view at different times of the day.
Adrian K — Google review
This place was easy to find and get to, very close to a cute park and the subway. Building was immaculate and workers were extremely polite and pleasant. The wait to get on the elevator was <5 minutes. After a 55 second elevator ride to the 45th floor, you are greeted with gorgeous views of the city in all directions. Best part is that the entire experience is FREE! Highly recommend!!

There are three floors available to the public: 1F, 2F, and 45F.
Floors 1 and 2 are mainly informational. There is a cafe on floor 2 and an information booth and the elevator to floor 45.
Floor 45 is a souvenir shop and the observation deck.
It lets you view the surrounding area.
The view is fantastic. It must be more mesmerizing at sunset and at night. Unfortunately, it may be difficult to actually see as it gets extremely busy later into the day.
It is free so I would recommend visiting.
Sydney W — Google review
I highly recommend visiting—entry is free. If you're fortunate, you might catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji from there. The view is breathtaking, although expect a 30-minute wait to get upstairs. However, the line moves swiftly. It's truly a must-visit spot.
Shirin Montebare — Google review
Went up to the free observation deck in the South tower.
The views are nice, but all of the windows are angled in such a way that you can't really take straight on pictures of the view without reflections.
Still, it's free, and any view of Tokyo is good in my opinion. Weather permitting you can also spot Mount Fuji.
The gift shop has some nice items and is also not too pricy.
Definitely worth checking out if you're in the neighbourhood.

Free sunsets over Tokyo! The sun sets behind Mount Fuji! There was a bit of a queue for the elevator on a weekday evening in October, but it didn't take long. Give yourself some time to queue and find the place; it's not clear. Ask people - they were all helpful. The views are amazing! Spoiled only by the lights reflecting in the night shots. Some people are obviously repeat visitors, as some brought special devices for their lenses to block the reflections. One old Japanese gentlemen had come just to see the planes landing at Haneda and talked to me for a while, pointing out the different airlines.

One of the must visit places for tourists for a reason. The amazing view it provides is completely free and the observation deck is quite spacious, guaranteeing free space to look from the window or just roam around, even during peak hours. Honestly enjoyed this much more than Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree not just because it is free but because I was able to get the most out of my viewing experience here.
There's also a public piano where you could get treated to a nice performance by musicians who happen to be on the deck as well.
For people visitng the Tokyo for the first time, this place is a must and, if possible, do it on your first day so you get a beautiful view of the ever-busy concrete jungle before diving in into its hundreds of shop and attraction filled streets.

I visited again on March 2. There is a projection mapping show going on from 7pm and it is beautiful. There are shows every 30 mins and you should watch two of the consecutive ones as they are different. It is visible from the spot opposite to the Chuo park. Please check on Google for the dates till when this will go on. The facility is world class. The management is so helpful and polite. The views are amazing however I was not lucky to see Mt 🗻 on this visit as the sky was not clear enough.

Observatory is the 45th F of TMG building. The view is amazing mainly in evening. The last group go up 21:30. There is a coffee bar and souvernir shop as well.

Since its opening in 2010, it has attracted visitors from around the world who are interested in international gardening styles and bonsai culture. The museum features elaborate bonsai tree specimens, historical displays, and even a shop for enthusiasts.

We had a lovely tour with an English tour guide (Turton?) who was very polite and knowledgeable showing us the selected exhibition trees. I even learnt a few things, and I used to work in a bonsai nursery! (In the UK).
After the tour, I was overwhelmed by the main garden. Every tree was beautiful. If I could have stayed forever I would.

Unique and precious collection of bonsai plants. Some of the trees are about 1000 years old. The receptionist gave us senior discounts which was only 150 yen each. Parking was free for 2 hours, and we spent 1 hour 50 minutes including walking around Bonsai Village and also having lunch nearby.

Amazing place if you want to see a 1000 years old bonsai. A very nice staff helping you to connect to the audio platform to listen to short stories about bonsais. You can also buy your own bonsai in an open air shop at the back of the museaum. I highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing. Very well done and elegant museum that explains and showcases the art of bonsai. Apart from the great bonsai collection they have thoroughly English explanations on the history, techniques and philosophy of Bondai.

This was a fantastic experience full of many surprises!
Based on the reviews we thought we were going to spend 1-2 hours at the museum and then return to Tokyo for the rest of the day.
What the reviews fail to mention is that there is not only the beautifully curated museum (with an excellent audio tour of every bonsai), but once you have spent anywhere from 1-3 hours there depending on your depth of interest (bring a sketch book!), you can have lunch at the bonsai restaurant across the street (assuming they are open) and then tour the 6 remaining historical bonsai gardens in the neighborhood for free. Not to mention the bonus manga museum (we ran out of time to visit but had we known, we would have started the day earlier). ALSO, if you go during blossom season, make sure to fit in Omiya Koen just a little further south- there is an incredible huge grove of cherry blossom trees!
My recommended itinerary would be to get to Toro station by 10am, take the short walk south to the museum; have lunch after; tour the gardens and manga museum; have a tea break or pick up snacks from the convenience store and head to the park to picnic. Depart from Omiya Koen station.
This could fill your whole day and makes the long trip to get there worthwhile. The walking distances are not far at all. You might spend anywhere from 10-30 minutes per garden depending on how much you want to immerse yourself.
The only warning I have is to bring a parasol in hot weather and that the neighborhood is surprisingly lacking in restaurants/cafes/convenience stores, so you may want to come prepared with your own lunch and lots of snacks/drinks just in case! Best done in fine weather to make the most of all the sites!

Amazing place with some fantastic trees and very interesting histories.
It does a good job representing the history of bonsai - it's popularity is yet to peak, it seems, as its popularity has only really started booming in the past 50-100 years, which makes the 300-500 year old trees on display all the more amazing.
Well worth a visit if you're a bonsai fan, and the nearby bonsai village has some even more amazing bonsai trees.
The museum has a little shop with some nice souvenirs, and don't miss the shop selling pots and trees in the car park!
Overall a great experience, highly recommended.

I really love the way this place is set up. First, the museum walks you through the basics of the art of bonsai, so you can start looking at bonsai through a slightly more educated lens. Then, you get to see some of their amazing collection out in the garden! It’s fun to see how these tiny trees are so carefully grown over hundreds of years.
Sophia Appelbaum — Google review
Beautiful bonsai. The history aspect of the museum, covering both the art of bonsai and the Omiya area itself, were well done and graciously translated in English. The security guard made us feel welcomed and happy to meander through the outside area.

Beautiful space with impressive trees as well as sample display rooms. A great spot to start your tour of the village. Easy train ride from central Tokyo.
I/ R/ — Google review
Museum is nice but I did not feel it is worth it, unless you are super interested in Bonsai Arts and history displayed in exhibition hall. The bonsai trees are beautiful but they are very limited in number. Entire museum can be seen in less than 30 minutes even if you walk capturing photo of each bonsai. May be I did not have that “viewpoint” but you get to see prettier trees in different nurseries around the nearby area for free..

If you love Bonsai it is a place not to miss. Museum is not a big one, but would you imagine to find a bonsai of a 1000 years ?
If you on a rush maybe this place will help you to find your inner relax moment.

First bonsai museum of the world. It’s really pretty I loved, it’s a great place to see old bonsais of up to 800 years. It show the history of it and they have a large amount of bonsais. If you love bonsais it really worth the visit. The staff is really nice too!

Tobu Zoo is a unique destination that combines a theme park, water park, and zoo all in one. Visitors can enjoy thrilling rides, observe rare animals, and cool off in the large summer-only water park. The aqua park features attractions such as a lazy river, giant wave pool, fountain shows, and rapid river-style waterslides. Families with kids can explore the Jabu Jabu Adventure area with mini slides, shallow pools, and a huge splash bucket.

Bought the illumination + unlimited rides pass ticket for 3200yen (for entry after 3pm) via asoview.com so I managed to enter immediately.
Highly recommend the go-kart ride! Zoo + amusement park + illumination. I had more fun than I imagined.
This place is a little old but has a retro vibe - nostalgic!
Kiki Kika — Google review
I went with friends there for illumination. Unfortunately, there was no bus at all from 17:00 so we had to walk for a while and we were alone on the street at that time which scared us, afraid if we were lost or something.
The ticket cost about 1300 yen if I'm not mistaken, and you get 200 yen off the next time you come to see the illumination again, so make sure to not throw away the ticket if you plan to go again.
Because of the access, there were not many people there and we didn't have to wait to ride an attraction. Oh, you can buy the pass for all attractions or you can buy ticket inside and just ride ones that you would like to ride. There are many ticket machine inside, so no worries. They have lots of toilet too, very convenient. I recommend this place if you want to see beautiful illumination without many people so you can take photos as much as you can, as long as you are willing to walk a bit to reach the zoo from the train station.

from what i have seen, some animals in their enclosure "feels like" they are not well-taken cared of. they look stressed and very unhappy. it was cold, and some of the animals are left very cold without any source of a little "heat".
-some animals looks very sick, like the white tiger on one of my videos who limps and looks hurting. it was traumatizing to see an animal walking back and forth limping in agony with no one to help him. 👎
-i have been to other zoos, tobu zoo is the worst one, me and my kids have been to. (my opinion)

Great for families. Kids can have a great time seeing all the different animals. Amazing to be able to see white tigers, giraffes, rhinoceroses, and lions up close. Ample seating, food, and restrooms. Go early before the park doors open and park in the west parking lot, very close walk to the entrance from that parking lot.

Really good place to visit and spen your time. We watched the winter illuminations also thats really good. We didn't did any attractions activities but next time surely we do. Its better to get the full pass and enter because its allows you so many activities. Otherwise you have to pay each activity individualy inside thats little bit costly.
They have special activities for pass holders like allow feeding for elephants, go closer to white rhino. Also becarefull when you are closer to elephants area they will trow some muds sometimes thats not intentionally they throw it for them selves but those comes outside the area.
Go early because some activities end around 3.00 p.m. Also some animals are not show after 4.00 p.m. You can find all information from there site.
Conclusion this is a very nice place to visit with your family and friends. You can enjoy alot. Staff also so friendly. Lots of animals to see.

We went on a regular weekday on a slightly rainy day. There was no one at the park, every ride we went on they had to start the ride for us and we were the only ones riding it. Sort of scary but fun at the same time.
Everything is clean, working and staff are friendly and helpful. Great day for the kids anytime. In summer bring loads of drinks there is alot of walking as the park is big.

I went there yesterday just to take some photos of animals. However, almost all parts of the zoo used cages that almost blocked any photographer from taking a good shot. If there could be a higher place where we could photograph them could help a lot.
For dangerous animals, they were in glass cages. This would help us a lot as photographers if it was not for the accumulated dirty or the high differences in temperature between outside and the inside that made it difficult for anyone from getting a good photograph of those beautiful animals.
For families and people just enjoying the view of all these great creatures, I think the park is a very good place to visit. As a person that went there just to take some photographs, I believe that I wouldn't go again for this purpose, anymore.
Some bad samples were attached here. Of course I took some other photos that were great, though.
Sandro Nakaguma — Google review
A big park with plenty to do. You got the zoo with the different kinds of animals. I dunno if the enclosures are the best for the animals but the visitors enjoy it.
There is also a small amusement park with a number of fun rides for kids and adults. Getting the all you can ride ticket is advised and it runs about 500yen per ride if you go single ticket purchases. The all you can ride wrist band works out to about 6 attractions which you can do pretty quick along with repeated goes on things like the roller coaster. There's a fun pool as well but that wasn't open when we went.
Beyond the amusement park towards the east gate is a pond/lake with some nice views and a wading bird area just behind that.
A decent place to go with the family for a day out.

Found this place by chance from an ad while I was in Tokyo in April. It turns out to be my most precious memory during my trip. It's easy to get there from Oshiage (skytree) Station. About and 1.5 (?) ride.
I went on a week day and it was a few days before their cherry blossom festival ends. So not much people. Although there was not much cherry blossom left, the canola blossom field are just so beautiful! If there was sakura, you'll get that stunning pink and yellow flower combination. (Come around end or middle of march)
*Check their website for flower conditions.
