Krabi City Seaview
Hotel
The Krabi City Seaview hotel is a modest establishment that features simple yet comfortable accommodations and an informal restaurant with panoramic ocean vistas. During our three-night stay in two of their unpretentious rooms, we found the 2-star property to be ideal for our needs. The balcony room we stayed in offered breathtaking views that have left a lasting impression on us. Its location, which is only a ten-minute walk from Krabi city center, was also convenient.
We had 2 rooms and stayed 3 nights. As a 2 star hotel it is perfect. Especially balcony room. It has a awesome view never can forget. Good location about 10 minutes walking to Krabi city centre. Cleanliness is ok but bathroom in see view room (without balcony) need urgent renew. Stuffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast serves semi buffet but good quality and sufficient. I will come back here for sure.

Only 10min walk to night markets. The hotel is next to the park with nice view of the river/sea gate. Room is clean, old style furnitures.
Something to consider:
- no elevator (but low stairway)
- in room: no slippers, no complimentary water
- in bathroom: quite small, slippery if wet floor

No windows open very poor ventilation just a rented room
Dan Ward — Google review
Room smelled, there is no sea view from the rooms, to be fair there is no view at all from the rooms. Cockroaches in the bathrooms and ceilings falling apart. There's no staff at night at the reception so when I locked myself from the room at night there was nobody to open the door, and no phone number to call. At least it was very cheap.
Leal lil — Google review
We choose this place because is near the pier (about 800m). If you don't want to be underground without the window, don't choose the cheapest room. It was really dark and small. But maybe for one night with low budget can be ok. Up the roof is small place where the breakfast is served and from here is very nice view.
Ladislav Kocián — Google review
Please don't go there. First of all it's way too expensive for what you get. The only good thing about this place is the short distance to the nightmarket an the nice receptionist. The first room we had had such a dirty shower and toilet. And the room was smelling like mold. So we got another room with at last a somewhat cleaner bathroom but still you didn't want to touch the shower. It was still smelling like mold and we foud some mold on the bedsheed. We endet up sleeping with a plastic sheet over the bed because we spend way too much on this hotel.

A truly budget hotel but with great river views. Quiet position, located in Krabi Town on the riverside. 5 minute walk to shops, restaurants, street food and coffee shops. Hotel really needs some TLC but OK for the money. Rooms spacious and clean but basic. Bathroom also large but in need of some decoration! No safe in room. Top floor rooms (5th floor) have best views. You will need to book a 'deluxe' room as this appears to be their 'best'. Breakfast very basic with no Thai option. Served on the 5th floor open balcony which is nice. Very friendly staff. River Pier just 5 minute walk for access to Long-tail boats and ferries to all of the islands.

Stayed during low season - great river location with nice rooftop and garden terraces. Room was a bit small but clean and the host is so helpful and accommodating. Near night food market. Love the river walk-perfect for a run!

Khao Lak is an assemblage of small villages that are currently geared towards tourism. These villages are primarily located in the Takua Pa District and partially situated in the Thai Mueang District of Phang Nga Province, Thailand. The name "Khao Lak" directly translates to "Lak mountain", which happens to be one of the principal peaks found within this hilly and mountainous area.
Takua Pa is a charming old town located within 10 kilometers of the new district. It boasts ancient Chinese architecture that reflects the prosperous Tin Mining era. The area also showcases Portuguese influence, reminiscent of the buildings in Phuket. Kampung Kuantan Fireflies Park in Selangor offers tourists the opportunity to explore nature through sampan-boat river trips while observing fireflies. The park also features food and gift kiosks, as well as a playground for children. To make the most of this experience, it is best to avoid visiting during full moon periods when firefly sightings may be limited.
a very good place for you to educate your children about nature.
one of the best place to see firefly.
do not come during full moon because maybe you won't get to see the firefly.
RM60/boat. each boat 4 pax. during +- 20 minutes.
ticket counter open around 6.00 pm. activity start around 7.30 pm or 8.00 pm.
Megat Syahmi Al Fattah — Google review
Visiting the firefly park again recently after 20 years. The jetty and facility is way much better now. Finding the entrance is a bit difficult, as we almost missed it at might. If you are coming from Kuala Selangor direction, do follow the GPS navigation, and the entrance is just next to the mosque.
To watch the firefly, visitors need to wear the life jacket and get on the small sampan (boat). The guide will paddle along the river to the nearby fire fire tree to watch the blink-blink (Firefly). Please do not make noise or use the flash as it might disturb them finding girlfriends.
Anyway, under the very dark environment, most phone's camera can't get a good picture, but you can try with video using some manual settings.
The price per boat for 4 people is RM70 (Malaysian).
For those who are afraid of mosquitoes, do remember to wear long sleeves and pants.

Nice guys! Come when there's 'no moon'. well kept, playground was superb. Came on Friday night, not many people at all.. we enjoyed our time here. Just buy tickets on site. 1 boat, 4 person max.
Hazlin Zaini — Google review
Come as early as they open! The fireflies are most active at dusk.
They charge per boat so it's best to come in a group of four.
Not recommend to take photos of the fireflies as the camera's flash will scare them.
The boatman is really skillful and knows a lot about the fireflies as they're locals being a part time boatman as an exercise 😆
The ride lasts around 15-20 minutes.
The ambience are amazing and serene. Very healing.
This is my second time here 😁
Syasya — Google review
Very friendly staff along the journey and very pleasant experience to view firefly. Not easy to take photo with firefly but manage to capture few. Rated 4 star because lack of ventilation in the jetty, very warm while waiting boat.
Last night was full of mosquitos during the boat ride due to rainy days

Good place for children for visit.
RM60 1 boat (4 ppl) about 20 min ride.
Be patient & expect the long queue, 7.50pm enter entrance & still have to for an hour for the ride

Great experience, we took a package tour with Klook that includes monkey feeding and dinner (which was great).
Must have a bug repellent spray..

No information in the internet about the price and timing, Then, finally i found this at the entrance.
60RM for local, 100RM for forigner for one boat. The last trip is 22:30.
All boat is with a rower. lots of fireflies. 20 min trip. it is just nice. 20 min is just good (it is like jungle cruse in the disney land). We are a group of 5 including 3 kids and the youngest one is 6 years old. They let us in together in one boat.

A quote from the guide that I can't forget:
"Fireflies are very sensitive to the nature's delicate balance. If the temperature changes, they die. If the water is polluted, they die. If the tree (nest) is disturbed, they die.
Suffice to say, if you don't see fireflies anymore, than the earth is dying"
Mr Z — Google review
Good authentic experience with low boats that allow you to get up close to the fireflies and trees. Payment system is automated so nice and quick now and queue was moving fast when I went.
Nabs Mungaye — Google review
Absolutely magical experience. It was the sort of thing a person dreams about. The boat towers were so quiet so didn’t disturb the firefly’s at all. I really recommend this place to anyone travelling in the area. But make sure you wear bug spray !! And a lot of it.

It's a bit overrated. You need not be disappointed if you miss it. However, if you have a lot of time available and curious to find out what the hype online is all about (like us :)) You won't be upset that you visited, but can't rule out coming back disappointed.
Few tips:
1. Get yourself mosquito repellent liquids prior to visiting (it is also sold there for RM 20 to 30) not so good, but does the job.
2. Dress easy - this is not a boat or a ferry ride.. it's a catamaran ride. Be prepared for a bit of stretching and crouching.
3. Carry a DSLR instead of relying on your phone. It basically boating in the night. You need something that can handle extreme low light photography.
4. The life vests are available in plenty but smelly (carry a body spray or perfume) otherwise you're only thinking of the odour/sweat smells and not enjoying the experience - You will for sure thank me for this one when you're wearing the vest. (You can hit that like in advance ;))
5. Most important - Cards not accepted, just ensure you have RM 50 available per boat of 4 adults
6. Get there early, queue up outside the ticket counter. If not you'll end up in a long queue later.
7. If you're in a group, split your team - Few can queue at the ticketing counter and the rest can queue up at the boarding area. So you don't end up queueing twice.
The drive from KL is enjoyable, a mix of highways and fields/crops.
Enjoy your trip!!!
Manigandan Venkateswarlu — Google review
Parking is quite challenging but after about 2-3 round then I manage to find a parking slot, then you have to que depend on weekends or weekdays, after a long wait we manage to get on the boat.
Life jacket will be provided by the facility. We managed to get all 5 pax into 1 boat. The boatman will bring you to the location and after around 20 minutes on the boat.
While waiting for your turn, there are a playground that kids can enjoy their happiness there.

The Cameron Bharat Tea Estates is a breathtaking sight that covers vast hillsides and mountains, established in 1933. As the second-largest tea producer in Malaysia, it exports its delightful teas worldwide. The estate offers an audio-visual presentation on Bharat's history and the tea-making process. Tourists flock to this plantation for its scenic views, extensive tea variety, delectable cakes and scones, making it a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and tea lovers alike.
Feel completely disconnected from the urban hustle when you enter this plantation. Numerous viewpoints, refreshing climate and gentle sways of tea leaves, it was a memorable experience.
Better to not take the shutter as it cuts off the authentic experience. Wander around by foot for only RM3/person.

Hot tea, scones and chicken soup with a view. Don't take too many photos. You'll miss the feeling & the true beauty of this place. Take some photos, then put down your hp & camera. Enjoy the view, feel the good taste of hot tea & appreciate the nature.
That's how you should do when you come to a place like this.
Oh, an important tip that most people already know about Cameron Highlands, just don't come during school holiday or public holiday.
Hazizi Hasani — Google review
Entrance fee is 4 ringgit for each person, big shop for buying different taste of tea maybe 20 different taste. I really recommend the masala tea it’s amazing. There is also big restaurant with tea plantation view at this place. The sad thing about tea plantations is that they cut big part of jungle for the tea 😢 this tea plantation is accessible by walking around 45 minutes from town but beside the road it’s not completely safe.
Matin Dehghan — Google review
The guide who gave us the briefing at the tea factory was very informative. The lady at the tea shop and cafe are very informative, friendly and warm too. Drinks are ok. Didn't take any food. But surely I bought all the specialty premium tea varieties.

We enjoyed your first stop to Cameron Highlands. We were welcomed with a beautiful weather in this place now called Cameron Valley (Bharat Group).
Had some quite decent food. (Just note there are quite lots of harmless flies 😵💫). So probably dont eat just as you enter the place but have a nice tea in the valley below.
You will need to buy tickets to enter.
The view was awesome. The valley where the buggy took us was beautiful that has a nice stream and mini waterfall. We had a great time just exploring the place.

the cafe was meh, the tea was satisfactory but there was so much insects flying around and the meals are overpriced and extremely unsatisfactory (nasi lemak without coconut rice etc)
the views were nice and the atv ride was extremely fun, but the shop selling teabags and other bharat tea products were twice the price sold in shops back in tanah rata/brinchang

This was the epitome of my trip in Cameron Highlands. I specifically came to Cameron Highlands to look around tea fields as a tea professional. I was disappointed by the other tea plantation that is famous in the area.
Bharat Tea Plantations (=Cameron Valley Tea) was on the other hand had the scenery and happy tea plants as I hoped to see.
It was chill, peaceful, no rushness. Also the fields are scattered, even when there were people it didn't feel too crowded compared to the other place.
The only thing I wish was the cafe had better selection of menu tailored to Cameron Valley Tea & Food. It was very generic and touristic that didn't seem to align well with the tea plantation.

Have to pay for entry. Rm15 to ride buggy, rm4 to walk. It was about 500m to reach the river. It was easy to walk down but quite challenging to walk back up. The view was really breathtaking 💚

This is a must visit! If you love beautiful landscapes, nature or mindfulness, make sure you allocate more than an hour for your visit. They have created an oasis here and put a lot of effort into creating lots of pockets of scenic and picture perfect mini spots that also allows some group privacy whilst still being part of the community. It's no wonder we saw a group of people heading here for a pre-wedding photoshoot. Their cafe staff definitely knows how to make their tea shine. They have plenty of seating well spaced out and well distributed all across the site. Decent amount of shaded seating available, some under natural tree canopies, others under umbrellas. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting this place!

In my opinion the most beautiful scenery in Cameron Highlands. Recommend to visit during the golden hour sundown. It lights up the whole valley golden. Entrance is 3RM per person to walk out onto a viewing point.
There’s a cafe that sells drinks and snacks. Plenty of parking space too. See attached pics

Really enjoyed being able to wander through the fields of tea. Some amazing views and a nice write up of the history. A pot of sweet milky tea purchased and served up to understand what happens to the little green leaves. Free to visit and look out. Easy parking ... Only 3 RM to wander around the fields ...

We had visited BOH tea garden before so wanted to see new places, one of the tour agent suggested this place.
Very near to Tanah rata bus terminal, we visited around 8:30 didn't get any traffic.
Not much crowd so didn't have any wait time. We book buggy ride (15 rm), people were also walking down. Buggy ride took us to artifical waterfall, although artificial the place was very beautiful and looked natural. Took very good pictures there. They also have ATV ride, we didn't take, but was around 70 RM for 2 persons. We also had scones and breaded Chicken Satay (unfortunately not much veg options).Food was very tasty
Overall loved the place, would recommend it.

The most captivating spot in Cameron Highlands! No entrance fee, but there’s a surcharge for the mini-bus ride, totally worth it. They’re fair to tourists. You can even stroll if you’re up for it. Definitely deserving of a 5-star rating!

The first tea plantation open to the tourists & public when one nears the town of Tanah Rata on the approach to Cameron Highlands.
One can savour a cup of the Cameron Valley Tea produced here. Finger food are also available if so desirous
The cafe offers a magnificent view of the tea plantation with a mini water fall in the distant below
If one is desirous of going into the plantation to take photos amongst the tea plants ; then the entry fee would be RM 4.00 per person if one walks down. And it is a long walk down
Alternatively, if one takes the electric buggy then the entry fee would be RM 15.00
After a respite of about an hour here; we went to the teashop here and bought numerous fruit flavoured tea .
Definitely a good place for instagrammable pics

The tea fields were wonderful to walk around. I hiked in from the back side after hiking from Mount Basar and that was nice because I had some paths all to myself. Once I reached the main area the waterfall is nice and there are old signs directing you. The walk up the hill to the tea house wasn’t difficult. I bought a wristband since I came through the back, only RM4. I got an ice cream(which came with a balloon haha) and the staff were very nice and let me charge my phone which had died. There were some photos of the tea making process in the shop.

Considering they don’t charge entrance fees, it’s perfect. It’s an hour long tour conducted by Leong.
Good to understand a bit of old ipoh town history. Fun fact: do you know that Ipoh got its name from Epau which was probably a name of a local orang asli village back in the 1800s before it gained prominence for its tin mining community.
Please do remember to donate to the cause as your heart desires to support them in keeping the history of Ipoh.

The staff from the hotel to the House-keeping, the Guards and at the Theme park were all very helpful and friendly, well done! The room was clean and comfortable. It is recommended to equipped with some cutlery like forks an d spoons. The breakfast at the Garden Terrace was not good. The fried rice and beehoon were too salty, variety of food is very minimal. It can be improved somehow. There are many activities in the theme park, it is a good place for the holiday of the family

Fast service when we call the operator. One of our toilets can't flush and we were told we need to manually fill the tank with water before we flush each time. The water splashed from the toilet bowl when the plumber tried to fix it and we had to clean the toilet. The breakfast selection and quality is not as good as other similar hotels. Need to walk across a road to get to the breakfast location too. We are not allowed to request for extra towels but we can request to change towels. The hotel WiFi doesn't work properly. Some of us can't even connect even though we requested help from staff.

One of the main issues I encountered was with the secondary lock on my room door. Unfortunately, it couldn't lock properly, which left me feeling a bit uneasy about the security of my belongings.
Another problem was the shower heater. Although there was hot water flowing from the basin, the shower heater itself seemed to be malfunctioning. It left me puzzled as to whether the issue was with the heater or something else.
The air conditioning in the room was also a bit of a letdown. It was kind of noisy, but I managed to bear with it. However, I believe it's an aspect that could be improved for a more comfortable stay.
Lastly, the person in charge of handling luggage seemed a bit clueless, as he parked his van right in the middle of the road to load the luggage. This caused a major inconvenience for other vehicles trying to pass through.
To make matters worse, once all the customers and luggage were onboarded, the driver decided to engage in a chat with the hotel staff. This led to traffic jam forming behind the van.
Interestingly, I couldn't help but notice that there was a dedicated parking area right near the lobby entrance, specifically intended for vehicles like the van. It left me puzzled as to why the driver didn't opt to use this convenient parking spot, which could have avoided the unnecessary obstruction and delays.
While my stay at the hotel was overall enjoyable, this transport mishap certainly left a lasting impression. It's my hope that the hotel management takes note of this feedback and addresses the transport arrangement issues to ensure smoother experiences for guests.

Just across the street to Lost World of Tambun. The staffs were very helpful and friendly. I can't remember the last time a hostel staff actually explained in detail how to get to our room. Excellent service. Our room was clean and nice. We love the complimentary Ipoh white coffee!

Last time we stayed here was a few years ago. I can see that the hotel improved a lot. The hotel is soooo much nicer now. Staffs were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was okay. There are buffet sections as well as some stalls for omelette, noodle etc.
Overall a pleasant stay. Will definitely consider staying here again!

Deluxe Room is very roomy, clean and comfortable. Easy access to Lost World Theme Park. Staff was great and friendly!
We went for the night park. Nothing much apart for the hot spring tbh. We didn't go for the day park so I can't comment on that.

Love it that they provide refillable water and were very quick with sending the refills over. Didn't like it as their pillow and sheets smells. Bring ur own pillow case. Stay here if you're planning to go to the theme park as there's 2 free night park tickets and 35% off for day park tickets. Room comes with 2 free breakfast but too many good food in Ipoh to try their breakfast. Room can accommodate up to 4 people. Extra roll away bed costs RM160.

Spent a couple of days there and very convenient if you are visiting the Lost World park. Rooms could have been cleaned a bit more regularly but it was comfortable. Service was very good. If you require anything, call reception and somebody is sent within minutes. Overall, had a good stay.

It is a old hotel. Dated room. Bathroom needs renovation. Water pressure of shower head is too weak. They only provide 1 shower gel and 1 shampoo. For a family to use ? Bring your own amenities. Breakfast is okay. Staff service is great. It is a raining day and all water comes inside our room through windows (which are all closed). We call reception desk, they just send someone to clean up the floor and did not change another room to us. Around 12:30 am. Guest from other rooms yelling and pounding the other guest room door and last for at least 30 minutes. I have such bed experience. However all staff are very nice and friendly.

The front counter, housekeeping and maintenance staff were friendly and helpful. Requests for drinking water were always fulfilled promptly.
We had issue with the lack of water heating when we first checked in, but maintenance had it resolved quickly upon feedback.
Overall, room was spacious and clean. Sufficient amenities provided for our one night stay there. Will definitely recommend if you want to visit the lost world theme park.

Great customer service and very comfortable bed. But unfortunately 1 lift is out of service. Location just opposite theme park. Very convenience. But if you are looking for chinese food, you will need to drive out. Night park fire performance is a must to see.

The room is clean and all important features such as kettle, hair dryer, fridge, Aircon, tv remote control, water heater and lights all work fine. The air conditioning blowers are facing both sides of the bed to ensure even distribution of cool air. I love the practice of using glass bottles for drinking water instead of single -use plastic bottles. Nice complementary coffee too. Friendly staff and nice hot spring facility. My family really enjoyed our stay there.

Nice hotel, easily accessible. Right in front of the waterpark. Wheelchair and stroller friendly. For breakfast buffet had to cross the road. Not so much varieties. Hopefully they can serve more toddler friendly food - other than cereal and highly processed sausages. Maybe some fried rice or fried chicken.

I was last at Sunway Lost World Hotel 10 years ago. Perhaps it was recently refreshed then, but I remember it being rather good. I checked into this hotel last weekend and found that it is unfortunately not as nice as I remember.
During my 3d 2n stay, my family only experienced hot water all of once. When I complained to the front desk, they sent a maintenance guy who recommended we leave the water running until it was hot. It was obvious there was prior repair work in my bathroom (as well as around the room) in the past and, it was also quite obviously shoddy work. Despite not having any hot water, I suppose it was okay for it to be not cold, at least it was a little bit warm.
Another thing that really irked me, was how I could not replenish my water without first surrendering a bottle. Why is it I can only have 2 bottles in the room at any time? @Sunway Lost World Hotel, if you are reading this, those glass bottles really are not worth nicking -- your housekeeping team did their best to explain, but I must say I was annoyed. Bogged down by rigid policies.
This being Ipoh, I skipped having meals (breakfast) at the hotel; opting to go out for food instead. But on a rainy night, ordering food for in-room dining was a really unpleasant experience, given there was only one chair (and no sofa) in our corner room. Plenty of space, but one working desk, one chair and nowhere civil to place the food -- what a wasted opportunity!
However, I must commend the great staff: from front-desk to housekeeping, who were warm, friendly, patient and seemed to genuinely want to help. Service alone, I'd rate them 4/5. They deserve a pat on their backs, although it feels as though they are struggling with the tools they are provided with.
The hotel is just a 5 min walk away from the theme park (which also feels significantly aged since I was last there), and is in decent proximity to most other amenities (fast food, petrol station, pharmacy, grocery store, etc). Town and most of the local fare is in the city center, some 15-20 mins drive away... but there is always Grab if you are too tired to drive out for dinner.
All things considered -- I regard the stay as value for money, as room stay also included entry into the theme park (which my kid thoroughly enjoyed). There's no discounting how this is really a budget hotel, but great value for the attached water theme park.

The staff deserves special recognition for their warmth and attentiveness. Every member, from the front desk to the housekeeping, went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. They were not only professional but also genuinely friendly, making me feel welcomed throughout my entire stay.

This hotel isn’t too bad, but not really worth the price. They seem short of staff but they do try their best to help us as fast as they can. They were also short of utilities like towels, so we had to wait quite a while for them after coming back from the hot springs!
Besides that, the shower head did not have hot water most of the time and the pressure was really low.
But other than that, it was an okay hotel for a few days to bunk in. Food was also okay! I would recommend this hotel just to sleep and eat, but not to relax the whole day and watch TV kinda holiday. Enjoy! :)

Rooms a bit old. But yeah its clean like 3 stars hotel. Bed, bathroom, small tv, aircond. Your typical 3 stars hotel.
But service is top notch. Especially when ask them to adjust the aircond fan, and refill water. Very fast and helpful. They also provide baby cot which is such a plus point for parents with small baby.
Location is strstegic near to the main city, easy to go everywhere and the waterpark is just infront of the hotel.
Breakfast : they provide simple food not something amazing. Can eat thats all. Not a lot variety just nasi lemak, cereal, noodle, porridge. With very fewwwwwww side dishes . (When we come also everything empty already)
But its ok since our plan also going to explore ipoh delicacies and play inside waterpark.
TV only tv cable dont have any nice to watch, especially when u have a bored toddler it would be suck. Nothing to watch at all.
Aircond nice cool and strong (best, especially in ipoh hot weather)
Toilet water is very weak so when u need to do ypur business. You will have a bit anxiety when u flush. But ok lah after 30 mins u try to flush again it will go down.
Shower is ok. Hot water just fine.
The best thing i noticed from the hotel they write everything on the bottle that we can just call to refill our water. Which is so glad to read. Not all hotel will tell u that. Because some hotel will only provide 2 mineral water. And since they support sustainability they will help us refill our water. And service once again was superb. It was really fast and helpful.
Outside room door would be a bit creepy and oldie when u walk. Maybe a bit renov might sound better. Indeed it was an old hotel, but luckily because of the waterpark got a lot peoples staying in this hotel so it feel less creepy. BUT IT WAS A GREAT STAY AFTER ALL.

Really beautiful lake! It took about 1hr to slow walk the whole round. Would recommend coming here earlier in the morning at around 7ish/8ish to avoid the crowds especially during public holidays. There’s a lot of birds and plants to spot, and it’s also very cooling!
You can rent bicycles from 10am onwards if you’d like. Can’t remember the price but it shouldn’t be too expensive!
Enjoy! :)

My last visit to Taiping was like 42 years ago but I still remember the most famous spot which is the Lake Garden. A MUST visit place, when in Taiping. Spectacular view from every angle and such a peaceful place to be. Unfortunately the sky was cloudy and started to drizzle as soon as I started capturing the beautiful scenes. Although it started to drizzle, it didn't stop those people from their jog, walk, cycling or playing the water bike ducks.
The first thing I saw was a huge eel like thing swimming in d water...probably a lizard. Love the arches of the old trees...the tip of the branches touching the water. Even the old tree stump looks beautiful with nicely paved tiles around it, creating a unique art piece. There was also a huge piece of fallen tree branches placed on the tarred road with a steel support...acting like a station for bicycles. There were some tandem bicycles too. Kudos to the Taiping Municipal Council for maintaining the park and preserving the old trees.

Century old trees, couple of them resembling giant animals resting on the soft greens. The giant lotus flower pond was an amazing view.
Very CLEAN park. Loved It!!
.
Go early, like 6.30 am onwards, lovely fresh air. There are tons of parakeets on the century old trees. At 7.30 am, there are many people in workout or dance clusters.
.
Small but sufficient to circumnavigate twice for a longer walk.
.
Some inner pathways may be 2-person-side by side, in width.

Kek Lok Si Temple, located on the White Crane Mountain in Penang, Malaysia, is the largest Chinese Buddhist temple in the country. Built in 1889, it showcases a blend of architectural styles from China, Thailand, and Myanmar. The temple complex is divided into lower, middle, and hilltop sections featuring intricate decor and numerous Buddha images. Visitors can explore various religious and cultural structures as well as beautifully landscaped gardens.
One of the largest and yet well maintained Buddhist temples in Malaysia. The temple complex has several prayer halls alongside gardens, and of course the famous statue of Guanyin.
While the temple has excellent facilities to ferry visitors from one site to another, it is recommended to walk around and explore instead. The temple has a rich history that must be experienced first hand.

Great and really beautiful temple. All entrance is free. You only need to pay for parking and if you want to use the cable cars. But everything is also walkable and there is a bus station close.
The view to the city is also worth the little hike.
The big statue is really big and tall. Which makes it hard to see it fully close as the platform is to small in ratio to the height of the statue.
To see all plan around 2 hours.
Down besides the first car park is a turtle pond.

Beautiful temple worth visiting and looking around. There are multiple levels and you can hike up I think or your can pay at each stage for a round trip ticket.
You pay at each station. You can't buy everything in advance. I suggest going to the top as fast as possible then working your way down.
There's a lot to see and a lot of extra stuff to do for blessings and merit driven offerings.
Just go. It's beautiful.

Beautiful temple. Worth visiting. Free of charge, except for the pagoda where you have to pay RM2 (worth it).
You don't need to take the cable car except for when you want to go to the statue. Otherwise you're fine of just walking :).

Recommend to visit on morning or evening, if you're coming when night, it's going to be a very different situation. First of all, parking. The parking will be very super difficult to be found , if you are unlucky you might find no parking, it's almost impossible to park there without giving those Indian money.( Cost around rm3-10)
Second, prepare water if you want to visit to the guanyin temple, you might to walk for a 15 minute to reach there, if you reach there when night, you need to pay extra in order to visit inside , but there's also a cable car service there, you can try it if you wish to.
However, apparently Malaysia are known for its heartwarming scorching Weather, so please choose a perfect time to visit if you don't wish to have a sunburnt. Recommend 6-7pm

Info: If you want to reach the statue, take the elevator up and down. Otherwise, you have to follow a steep road with no pedestrian path, walking out and around the whole temple area. 6 RM (03/24) is a fair price for the short cable car ride.
Otherwise, I recommend going to the pagoda with its 7 levels. Beautiful view and nice garden around. Admission is 2 RM.
The whole temple is really worth seeing and was a big highlight of our 2 weeks in Malaysia.

Kek Lok Si is a nice and impressive temple that is definitely worth a visit.
The temple consists of several layers and is very easy to reach with small elevators (paid).
There are men who drive back and forth with electric vans.
In the high season I wonder if it is worth visiting the temple, we were there outside the main season and it was already a long wait for the elevators.
Once at the top you have a beautiful view of the city and there are ponds with dozens (perhaps hundreds) of turtles to see.

The most beautiful and colorful Buddhist temple I have ever seen in Malaysia. It is located on a hill so the views from there are spectacular. It is huge inside with so many golden statues that will leave you breathless. There's a giant Buddha on top of the hill that you need to take a funicular for, it's not necessary in my own opinion, since the temple has already much to offer. Must visit if you are in Penang, you can combine it in one trip with the hill

The view outside the temple hill was stunning. However, our visit was abruptly cut short when one of the unpleasant employees told us to leave unless we paid for the visit in the temple. This temple is breathtaking and historical. Situated on the hills of Penang.
The intricate architecture, adorned with vibrant colors and intricate details.
The temple area features a series of prayer halls, pagodas, and landscaped gardens. Visitors may take the inclined lift or stairs to reach the temple. The atmosphere is serene and spiritual, with the sound of bells and the scent of incense permeating the air.
The Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas is mesmerizing, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
As you explore the temple's various levels, you'll find a harmonious blend of Buddhist influences from different cultures. The towering statue of the Goddess of Mercy (Kuan Yin) is particularly impressive.

The largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia. Built 1890-1930. Take a picture of the seven-story 30m (98ft) high pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas. It combines a Chinese octagonal base, Thai middle tier and a Burmese crown.
Don't forget to take a funicular ride to the magnificent Guanyin broze statue (36.57m/230ft.) Ringgit and cash only. We did manager to pay in $ after much of deliberation.
A must see.

A must see (though not in the hot sun...)! Be careful when driving all the way up as it is easy to miss the turn left into the temple at the highest tier. A $3 parking fee is needed before you can proceed further in.
The photos don't do justice to the majesty of the statues. If you would like to, different types of prayers can be offered at the main prayer hall . No comments about other parts of the temple at the middle or lower tier as we just wanted to visit the guanying statue.

My first visit to this temple in day and night on the same day. It is so astonishing looking at the lights that lit up the whole temple. It is such a beauty in the night. I am a visitor and was told that the temple was lit up during this Lunar new year 2024. I am so lucky to catch the view of this beauty. My holiday here is fruitful so far. The Kek Lok Si Temple was definitely a highlight of my trip to Penang! It's massive and full of incredible details - colorful statues, intricate carvings, and beautiful pagodas.
It's a great place to wander around, take photos, and learn a bit about Buddhism. We saw people praying and offering incense, which added to the cultural experience. There's even a pagoda with ten thousand Buddhas - it's quite a sight! Beware though, some of the stairs can be steep, so wear comfortable shoes. Overall, a must-visit for any tourist in Penang!

Beautiful temple complex and views noting that I found the views of the island/city from the top of the main funicular ride to the Habitat to be better.
I am going to focus in funicular as I found the experience confusing.
You can buy a one way or return ticket at the base of the temple for the funicular. In 2024 one way was 8RM. Keep your ticket hand as you have to show it twice on the way up. The ticket covers a short funicular ride (so wait was less than 5 minutes) which takes you to a buggy that drive you up the hill a ways to a large gift shop. Walk through this to the left to get on another funicular which takes you the rest of the way to the temple. All of this is included on the one ticket. Also- you need to push the buttons in both funiculars yourself to go up/to the next level.

The place is huge and amazing! Could have more signs to help finding all the spots (I went straight to the top by lift and almost lost the main temple! So take your time. My advice is: to go up first taking the lifts and then go down walking to explore all the rest of the temple. You need to pay 2RM to see the main pagoda but it is worth it. Outside, next to the entrance, there is a lake full of turtles).

The Pinang Peranakan Mansion is a heritage house that was converted into a museum in the early 1900s. It is full of antiques and artifacts from wealthy Chinese-born merchant Kapitan Chung Keng Kwee. The mansion has an eclectic East-meets-West charm and it is easy to spend hours exploring its rooms.
It is such a beautiful place jam packed with so much history. The mansion is so huge, you would definitely need to take your time to explore. Bonus: there is a souvenir shop tucked in the back of the mansion.
The staff was very friendly and gave us a free short tour of the mansion before we began exploring. The antiques and furniture were well maintained. There are many helpful info boards all around, you just have to keep your eyes out for it. The restoration of the building was done fantastically, making the mansion come to life

I highly recommend it to those traveling to Georgetown. You should never miss this attraction.
Entrance fee is affordable at RM20 per adult and totally worth the price. We visited at 10am during a public holiday and just in time for a mandarin tour at 10.30am which is very informative.
The mansion is so large that it is hardly noticeable from the outside, and I might have missed some areas without a guided tour. In addition, there are many antiques that are meticulously displayed.
I really appreciate the effort of the current owner to preserve this historical and cultural heritage, and presented to the public.

The Peranakan Mansion was full of history and you can feel it once you step into the place. We went for a guided English tour where the guide told us about the rich story behind this place.
You can easily immerse yourself here for hours, the mansion is huge. You need to take off your shoes for the 2nd floor so I would recommend wearing socks.

Visited the mansion in the afternoon. We reached the mansion pretty late so it was near closing time. However, we made it for the last tour of the day (English version). The tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable about the history and architecture of the mansion. He showed us and explained to us interesting facts and trivia about various designs and purposes. This place is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!

Beautiful and well-preserved old architecture and furniture. I didn't join the guided tour which happens at certain time slots.
I brought my grandparents here and they love it. So many rooms and things to marvel at. Lots of places to rest and sit. Photo spots at every corner.
The gift shop in the museum is lovely as well.
We visited right when the museum opened at 10am and did not need to queue to enter.

Beautiful space - breath-taking and a real joy to visit.
The RM20 entry fee is well worth it - it's beautifully maintained and a delight to wander in.
I particularly enjoyed the central courtyard and the different tiles throughout the premises, as well as the ancestral hall and the paintings.
The pictures don't do it justice - I highly highly recommend you come visit.

Highly recommend a visit to this mansion and join a group with a guide in the museum that is included in the entrance ticket available in Mandarin and English. So rich in history and also gives a good visual representation of what it was like in Penang in the past. The links with China and also England, and also trade with European nations are seen in the objects and design of the mansion. Good to go a little earlier in the day as after the guided tour, there’s time to go around to take more photos and have a closer look at the extensive collections of antiques that tell their stories.

Really interesting place and the man who gave us the guided tour was great. It was pretty busy with large groups of Chinese and people having photo shoots.
WARNING- you cannot pay by card if you are paying for one person admission!

Beautiful mansion with a lot of interesting artifacts and a hearty guide (we had an elderly gentleman) who really has pride and insight into the rich memory of the place.
Also guests are allowed to touch almost everything and sit on all antique chairs and sofas, which brings a live spirit to the music rather than a stale atmosphere of dust of usual museums.
Great dive into history of local populace and their adventures!

The owner did a good job at refurbishing and preserving a piece of important history ! The collection was amazing.
I’m really glad that I visited this place, as I finally got to see how it looks inside of a heritage building. I’m still in awe of how rich the Peranakan culture is (and also how loaded someone could be). Throughout the guided tour, it’s apparent that some riches are just unattainable 😂 Out of reach for peasants like us…
Mr. Stanley was an amazing guide to us - an amazing storyteller. The storytelling was so vivid that you’ll feel as if you’ve travelled time. I’m pretty sure he’d repeated it so many times but his enthusiasm was palpable - through the clap of his hands.
Loved it. Highly recommend.

The tour guide in English was so nice and funny! Sometimes, the accent was difficult to follow as he was wearing a face cover/mask. The house is huge and lots to explore in one hour.
Definitely recommend doing the free tour. Otherwise, it's hard to appreciate!
What I liked most is the fact that you can sit and touch almost everything, unlike other museums.
You can also go in and out as you wish all day.
I highly recommend visiting.
Bonus points as King Charles and Queen Consort Camila visited a few years ago, and they also do movie scenes there like Crazy Rich Asians!

One of the things I enjoyed the most in Georgetown. The entry ticket is only 5 dollars, but it's a great value because there's a one hour guided tour in English every 30 mins.
Our tour guide was a very funny Chinese gentleman who took his time to explain to us the history of the mansion in an interesting way and show us every single room. The mansion has many collectibles and rare artifacts from over 200 years ago, some of them are considered priceless.
I totally recommend to add visiting this mansion to your itinerary and get the chance to immerse into it's treasures

I think it's fairly an old hotel from the way it looks inside. Neat and tidy though. All amenities are available and the standard room is a good sized one.
It's centrally located and near a shopping mall. There is also a moderate sized swimming pool and gym. Good for a family stay. There are many small departmental stores nearby so it's convenient if u need any quick eats or drinks.
Lots of street foods just a few minutes walk away. The front desk staff are very courteous and there is also a large spacious cafe in the lobby area. Would love to come back again.

English guide tour started at 130pm on a Monday when I visited, but I think honestly that you could show up anytime and there will be a tour you can catch with just a bit of a wait. There is an upstairs section where no shoes are allowed which isn’t covered by the tour, so that could be a good way to fill time.
Bring cash to pay for your ticket (25 ringgit) if you’re in a small group. I did see card payment accepted but for a tour group of 17 people.
If the blue mansion is the immaculately adorned Nyonya without a single hair out of place, this is the fun sister with a reputation for the best gossip. Walking through this place felt like visiting family. If you need to sit for a break, I recommend the jewelry section as it’s one of the few air conditioned spots.

The mansion has least view from outside. But within ,it has some exquisite collections of the royal family holdings. The place is well maintained and beautifully arranged. There is an entrance fee of RM 50, but there is lots to see and you can spend around 1 hr seeing the displays. At 1.30pm,there is a guide tour also
.The staffs are helpful and there are lots of photogenic items. Inhouse stores are also there for buying souvenirs

It's a really historical mansion, with many interesting things to know about! However the ventilation situation really isn't the best... Yes there are standing fans to help blow air, but in most of the mansion, it's really hot and not a lot of fresh air flowing in. Also you need to take off your shoes if you want to explore up to the 2nd level as well (but the things are really interesting!) there's also a tour where your tour guide will tell you more information about the mansion.

Pinang Peranakan Mansion: A Glimpse into the Past, But Not Without Quirks
The Pinang Peranakan Mansion offers a fascinating glimpse into the rich heritage of Penang's Peranakan culture. The 45-minute guided tour, led by an excellent, comedic guide (kudos to them!), was informative and engaging, bringing the history of the mansion and its inhabitants to life.
However, the experience is a bit uneven. The mansion itself boasts some truly stunning rooms, showcasing exquisite Peranakan furniture, intricate tilework, and beautiful textiles. These sections truly transport you back in time.
On the other hand, some rooms felt a bit average, with displays that weren't quite as captivating.
Another curious feature is the rather large on-site restaurant. While it might be convenient for grabbing a bite after the tour, its presence felt a bit out of place nestled within the historic mansion.
The gift shop also left me scratching my head. While Peranakan souvenirs are expected, the inclusion of generic items like Marvel character keychains felt jarringly out of place.
Customer Service is not their greatest strength. Even when buying tickets. They’re reluctant to accept card payments. Was told originally ‘Cash Only’ and has to be more than 100 Ringgit, which doesn’t make any sense. Eventually a card reader is shown and card payments are accepted, when I’d just paid 50 Ringgit. The person selling tickets also has a negative attitude and was very unprofessional. There’s also the slight issue of the sticker to wear to show you’ve paid for your ticket. I told them I’ll place the sticker, where I want it to be, not to be dictated.
You have time slots for either an English or Chinese tour guide.
Overall, the Pinang Peranakan Mansion is worth a visit, especially if you're interested in Penang's cultural heritage. Just be prepared for a mixed bag – breathtaking rooms and historical insights alongside some slightly odd additions.
Getting there is easy. You can hail a Grab taxi or, if you're feeling adventurous and the Penang heat isn't too oppressive, it's definitely walkable.

Very beautiful!
They have english/chinese tours every 30 minutes (though the chinese tours are only every hour or so, I believe). If you're bilingual, I recommend the Chinese tour because it's more in-depth, at least based on what I overheard. Though the English guide is also very friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable.

An opulent, well-maintained and magnificent looking Peranakan house, both exterior and interior, with history and heritage. Many interesting items on display. There are guided tours conducted in English or Mandarin during certain time slots. When I went there, there were many visitors but not much of a queue. Staff are welcoming and friendly.

This is one of the must visit places when in Penang.
It's a historical house that a rich Chinese businessman had built in the late 1800s early 1900s.
The businessman was so rich that he also built a Chinese Temple next door, as well as a separate museum, with a dining room and kitchen buildings at the rear.
A lovely mansion that is well furnished with beautiful furnishings, and easily takes you back to yesteryear.
The Temple, museum and the kitchen are also worth visiting and are all included in the one entry price of 25RM as at Oct 2023.
I visited during the off-peak season and it was somewhat busy, but in peak season it could possibly be crowded.
The buildings are air-conditioned and this makes for an excellent atmosphere and encourages taking the time to view all that is on display. Allow between 1-3 hours to see everything depending on how much time you wish to spend taking in the great experience and looking at all the wonderful features, details and displays.
The history of how he made his fortune, including tin mining, is also interesting and worth reading about.
Excellent attraction. Enjoy.

Penang Hill is a tourist attraction in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which offers panoramic views of the city below. The mountain peak is also home to colonial-era hotels and bungalows, a suspended walkway canopy walk called The Habitat, a mosque and a Hindu temple. Penang Hill is also close to the Kek Lok Si Temple, within 3 km of its vicinity.
I consider Penang hill as the icon of Penang. As a tourist you must visit it otherwise don't come to Penang ^_^. you will be lucky if visit it in normal days (not public holidays or weekend) because you have to wait in long queues for more than hour to get into the train.
Up there, the view is charming, pure air, and lots of odd plants you can see. if you like hiking, this is the ideal place to enjoy the amazing nature. otherwise, you can get into a car against 5-10 RM.
You can enjoy many activities there such as purchasing love locks and write your name with your lover then lock it on a fence. also there is Owl museum, some shops and restaurants.

It’s so kitschy and so touristy but this is one way to enjoy the overview of Georgetown. Temperatures here are also a delightful treat after the humidity of the lowlands. The funicular train also adds to the excitement of ascending and descending this place.
Do hire a buggy at MYR 30 per head to explore the place expediently. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature with a few surprises from monkeys and giant squirrels.

Went in at 9am in the morning on Friday, there was a small crowd waiting for the rail already.
Managed to get on the second rail, and the ride up took <5minutes.
There weren’t many people in the morning, thus, quite enjoyable to sightsee.
It got crowded at 12+pm, and we were about to leave… The queue for the rail got crowded.!
Good to go in the morning to avoid the crowd!

Super touristy place to visit but worth doing if you're here in Penang. I recommend the pass otherwise you'll be waiting in line a long time to go up OR down. The extra 10 ringgit allows you to skip the line.
If you like to walk, at the top I suggest checking out ask the trails. You can of course walk down the mountain. It takes about 2 hours.
If you don't like walking so much, you can hire a little car to drive you around or to the coffee shop at the end of a road. It comes with a ride back too.
We decided instead to walk back so we could stop and take pictures. Totally worth it.
The earlier you come the better the experience will be. Less lines, less tourists, less heat.

⚠️2 hours to wait in a huge queue even in weekdays to go up and down the hill if you didn't buy the fast pass. Buy the fast pass and it's only 10min to wait... MUCH FASTER!

We left our hotel very early in the morning to catch the bus to Penang Hill. It took us about an hour or so. When we arrived we had the option of taking the train or walking. We chose to walk and enjoy the scenery. Personally I underestimated how long it would take us and how far it was but all in all it was great way to spend the day walking up to the hill and checking out different things along the way. We made plenty of stops along the way and took our time. the views were amazing the further you got up the hill. When we reached the top of the hill we walked around the temple and checked out what was around. A lot of things you had to pay for so we just decided to walk around and see what was up there. If you plan to walk up I would defiantly recommend going for when it opens as it's cooler and less humid. Once the sun comes out it gets scorching hot. Once we were finished walking around the top of the hill we decided to walk back down but the other side where there was a garden with lots of birds and many monkeys. The walk down was 7km and all down hill. Our legs were like Jell-O but it was a nice walk.

One of the popular tourist attraction is Penang. Located near Georgetown. Easy to find and public parking available here for a fee. I visited recentlly on a weekend. It was very crowded and waiting time for Furnicular train/Tram was almost more than an hour. Tickets can be bought at the counter for 1 or 2 way to/from the Penang hill. There is a food court up there and also a buggy service for visitors to tour the hill area for a fee. There are attractions such as Tge Habitat, Old and historical buildings, a Coffee shop and a Museum etc. Best thing to witbess is beatifull views of Georgetown and other nearby Islands. Management should take a note that there was no physical distancing in the Furnicular train.

We bought the fast lane tickets for trains. But since the school holidays, many queued. The view was amazing, the food up there was delicious and there are many beautiful views from the top of the hill. But overall, we enjoyed our trip here. Worth every penny. Will definitely be back again.

Unfortunately the viewing deck was under construction when I visited. There are some nice spots where you still can enjoy a good view from the hill. If you visit this place during a workday or Sunday there most probably won’t be any queues. If the weather is clear, during sunset the views should be very nice. Also, you can find some very pretty monkeys there. If you are in Penang definitely recommend.

We came here on a Monday late morning around 10 am. It was not crowded and brisk getting the standard ticket, and up we go to the top of Penang Hill.
There were quite a lot of tourist attractions at the top of the hill. We choose to do the Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk. It cost around MYR 60 Per Adult. It was a great walk for city folk with nice scenery.
Alternatively, a family of five can hop on bungee ride for MYR 30.
We suggest to avoid weekend and local public holidays as we heard it is usually crowded.

Penang has a very good hiking trail. From bottom of the hill to top you need to use about 2-3 hours. You can use the mid station if you feel tired on the halfway. The funicular train takes us from the bottom of the hill to the top of the hill. It is a very good experience, almost like a roller coaster.

Went on a Monday at 8.30 am. It was also during Ramadan. Queue was short at that time. Waited 15 minutes. We got the standard ticket online, didn't pay for the express. Some food and drink stalls at the top station were open as shown in the photo. Drinks about 8 Ringgit each. We asked at the information booth just outside the top station about the places to go and directions cos we couldn't make it out from the map provided. They were helpful. It was reasonably cool in the shade and there was quite a bit of shade along the main 2km path but quite hot in the sun. When we got to the Monkey Cup, we were too tired and hot to walk back uphill. Fortunately, we could take one of the buggys back up for 15 Ringgit. We didn't go into the Habitat.

Beautiful view and nature once you are up the hill, but here all good things end.
I don’t mind the crowds during holidays if it’s the only time to see something, but some outright bad things are:
1) Waiting- you have to buy a ticket and are told to wait for almost 2 hours to go up the funicular. In reality you spend 2,5+ hours in a queue and waiting.
2) Tickets are sold by “batches” with numbers. Once it’s your batch time, you proceed to the boarding queue. Waiting patiently in line only to be mixed in the end with all other people so that people with batch numbers bought after you end up in front of you instead. For example, our number was 45 but there were 46 and 47 people in front of us.
3) No huts/shelters from the rain. It rains sometimes, hard, and you simply have nowplace to wait it out.
4) Return queue: when you come totally soaked to go down, you are told to wait another 2 hours or buy express lane tickets 3 times more expensive than usual ones.
And in the end, both express and usual waiting people just mix and gash in into the crowded cabins.
All in all, worst mountain funicular organization out of all countries I ever encountered. Langkawi Sky Bridge is a good comparison- same country, much better queqe handling.

Penang Hill is a great escape from the busy streets of Georgetown. The funicular railway ride to the top is a fun experience in itself, offering stunning views as you climb. Once at the summit, you're rewarded with fresh air, rainforests trails, and a breathtaking panorama of Penang Island. Whether you seek relaxation or light adventure, Penang Hill offers something for everyone. Just beware of potentially long queues, especially during peak hours.

This is a great place to enjoy the cool breeze and beautiful views. I am really enjoyed it. I am followed the tour guide. The tour guide explained the place really well. I am understand everything. When I am entered, the queue was full with people. It was really crowded. I felt very unfair to them because they had to wait. I am waiting for the funicular train to arrive. After a while, the train came. According to the website, the train can transport 800 passengers per hour. The train came up really fast. I could feel the cool breeze hitting me as I stepped out of the train. I am taking some photos. I went to Astaka Bukit Bendera. Taking pictures is my favourite. I went for a ride, up and down, and it was quite chilling. One lesson I learned is don't try to offend, when they take you to the end (I guess the end over there because I saw a coffee shop) they ask you do you want to have coffee here? Say yes if you have time, say no if you don't because they will leave you there. I am having a great time here. Really had a great time. The view is superb. I will come here again alone in the future.

The funicular ride was interesting but make sure you stand closer to a window, so that you won't miss the view! You can get a nice view of the whole city and the sea from the top of the mountain. We also went on a buggy ride. Traveling on holidays will be a bit uncomfortable if you are not the type of person to wait in queues for around 1 - 2 hours.

Eagle Square: Where Sunsets Paint Memories on Langkawi's Skyline
Our visit to Eagle Square in Kuah, Langkawi, was an unforgettable experience that left us mesmerized by the beauty of nature's canvas as the sun bid adieu to the day. Perched at the edge of the Andaman Sea, Eagle Square stands as an iconic symbol of Langkawi and serves as a picturesque setting for witnessing the magical sunset unfold.
As we arrived at Eagle Square, we were greeted by the majestic sight of the towering eagle statue, poised gracefully against the backdrop of the sea and the setting sun. The intricate details of the sculpture, depicting Langkawi's emblematic eagle in flight, added to the grandeur of the surroundings and set the stage for a truly memorable evening.
As the sun began its descent, casting a golden hue over the horizon, we found ourselves spellbound by the kaleidoscope of colors painting the sky. Shades of orange, pink, and purple danced across the heavens, creating a breathtaking panorama that seemed to transcend time itself. With each passing moment, the landscape transformed, casting a spell of tranquility and awe upon all who beheld it.
Eagle Square provided the perfect vantage point for soaking in the beauty of the sunset, with its spacious promenade offering unobstructed views of the sea and the distant islands dotting the horizon. We found ourselves lost in the moment, immersed in the serene ambiance of the surroundings and grateful for the opportunity to witness such natural splendor.
As the last rays of sunlight dipped below the horizon, we bid farewell to Eagle Square with hearts full of gratitude and memories that would last a lifetime. Our visit to this iconic landmark had been nothing short of magical, leaving an indelible impression on our hearts and minds. For anyone seeking a moment of serenity and beauty on Langkawi Island, Eagle Square is undoubtedly a must-visit destination, where sunsets paint memories that linger long after the day has passed.

Dataran Lang, also known as Eagle Square, stands as an iconic landmark in Langkawi Island, and my recent visit left me utterly mesmerized. Arriving in the evening, I was greeted by the sight of the magnificent eagle statue. The sheer grandeur of the square was awe-inspiring, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder as I took it all in.
What made the experience even more delightful was the fact that there was no entry ticket required. It's refreshing to find such a beautiful attraction that's accessible to everyone, regardless of budget. As I explored the square, I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of crowds, thanks to my decision to visit on a weekday. The peaceful atmosphere allowed me to fully immerse myself in the beauty of the surroundings without feeling rushed or overcrowded.
The view from Eagle Square is simply breathtaking. The tranquil waters of the Sea stretching out into the horizon, coupled with the lush greenery of the surrounding landscape, created a scene straight out of a postcard. And as the evening descended, the twinkling lights of the Maha Tower in the distance added a touch of magic to the panorama.
But it wasn't just the visual spectacle that captivated me; it was the overall ambiance of the place. There was a sense of serenity and tranquility that washed over me as I sat by the waterfront, listening to the gentle lapping of the waves and watching the world go by. It was the kind of moment that makes you pause and appreciate the beauty of life.
In conclusion, my visit to Dataran Lang was nothing short of magical. From the awe-inspiring sight of Eagle Square to the peaceful atmosphere and stunning views, it was an experience I won't soon forget. Whether you're a tourist exploring Langkawi Island or a local looking for a tranquil escape, I highly recommend paying a visit to this enchanting destination. You won't be disappointed.

During peak season, it is highly recommended to go at night as there were limited parking available and it can get really hot during the day. Plus, the lights displayed were beautiful at night and you can enjoy taking pictures without having the heat on your head. If you bring your children, they can enjoy playing motorized toys at the dataran while you can enjoy snacks or ice cream.

If possible visit in the Evening Hours and Avoid Afternoon hours as it is very sunny. Must visit place for those who wna have a memories visit Langkawi this is the iconic place to the photos.

A must visit landmark of Langkawi. It was impressive from far and beautiful from near. The Eagle was in vivid color. Placed in the middle of the star formation like a guardian to the island! The flooring was colorful too with some fountains which were surprisingly switched off, except for a tiny one. Shouldn't they be operating from morning til midnite at such a famous tourist attraction?
The surrounding sea was in clear aquamarine and calm. If not for the blazing sun, we would have spent longer hours admiring the peaceful scenery. Coincidently there was an eagle flying nearby. There were a few souvenir stalls operating in a high structured ceiling indoor building on left and right side of the entrance. By the way, no entrance fee was needed. Street parking was difficult even on a weekday. Had to drive 3 rounds to find a spot. It was cheap...like 20cents for 20 mins parking if not mistaken. The pond nearby was with some water lilies and rubbish. Not properly maintained.

If it’s your first time, this monument is a must visit! A massive eagle statue at the edge of the pier that’s worth taking some scenic photos. We visited on a weekday, there was barely any crowd. We managed to get our shots within 30 minutes but upon heading back to my part I was greeted with a parking fine. They need to provide more digital payment parking options because the use of “parking coupons” is just too prehistoric for such as big tourist attraction.

Came a little late and didn't have time to visit other places. Because this is a landmark here, many tourists come here to check in and take photos. It's hard to get a nice photo.

we visited in the evening and were fascinated by the beautiful sunset. It's not simple statue. This is a 12-metre-tall statue of the iconic Eagle which is where this legendary island got its name.
you can also see the Maha tower here.

Eagle Square in Langkawi is a breathtaking and iconic landmark that truly captures the spirit of this Malaysian island. This impressive statue of a majestic eagle, poised to take flight, stands tall against the backdrop of the Andaman Sea, making it a must-visit for tourists and a source of pride for the locals.
The square itself is beautifully designed, with lush landscaping, walkways, and seating areas that allow visitors to relax and take in the stunning view. The vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by the numerous stalls and vendors offering local snacks, souvenirs, and cultural experiences.
Eagle Square is a perfect spot for both day and night visits. During the day, you can admire the intricate details of the eagle sculpture, enjoy the sea breeze, and capture some fantastic photos. In the evening, the square comes alive with colorful lights, creating a magical ambiance that's ideal for a romantic stroll or family outing.

Dataran Lang or loosely translated Eagle Square is a must visit for all visitors in this beautiful Langkawi island here in Kedah, Malaysia. Rising
against the back drop of the Andaman Sea, this majestic statue of a 12-metre-tall statue of the iconic Eagle which is where this legendary island got its name. Entrance to this beautifully landscaped park is free but parking can be a small challenge if you are driving here. Walking through this park, one can find small stalls selling souvenirs, tidbit, refreshments and even some local handicrafts. The excellently sculptured Eagle statue offers great photography opportunities for selfies and personal or family albums. A well maintained and clean square make this an attraction not to be missed when in Langkawi. A thumb up.

Find a parking is a little bit difficult here but the view is amazing just go around six 630 so that you can enjoy the sunset the place is amazing that would be a lot of people but still you can make some good photographs. There are some shops just nearby so you can do some shopping and also some snacks and drinks maybe there’s a paid parking lot as well find a free parking lot might be little bit tricky

Dataran Lang (Eagle Square) is a landmark of Langkawi and is also a prominent tourist attraction on the island of Langkawi , Kedah , Malaysia . It is a 12 meter tall eagle statue depicting the eagle from which Langkawi gets its name. The position of this giant eagle statue is located next to the platform of the Kuah jetty, with flapping wings ready to take off making it an awe-inspiring sight for tourists ready to land on this island .
Walk in from ferry terminal.
Tourist spot .. better go not public to avoid many people taking photo of eagle.
Bring hat or umbrella
This is one of the best part when you first coming in langkawi.

Kilim Geoforest Park is a nature reserve with beautiful mangrove forests, lagoons and beaches situated in Langkawi, Malaysia. The park offers river tours departing from the jetty near Tanjung Rhu that showcase the stunning limestone formations along the northeastern coast. Visitors will have an opportunity to explore Gua Kelawar, a cave hill which is home to bats. Lunch at a floating restaurant and eagle-watching are also included in most tours.
Wonderful experience to see the beauty of mangrove forest and the formation of the islands. It's a best for nature lover. We got a very friendly and engaging boat driver and gave us a very exciting boat ride around the geoforest. But sadly it's raining on the day we went but still have a great experience.

Very nice mangrove tour 🚤 We got the boat rented for 2 hour tour - saw the bat cave, crocodile cave, eagle feeding, and fish farm (where you can also have lunch). It was quite nice and our guides/boat driver were friendly and did a nice job showing us around. Booked directly with the site for a good rate of 250RM (fits up to 10 pax).

It is one of the most beautiful places and tourist attractions in Malaysia. If you want to go there you can take a boat ride. Look for a mangrove tour. It can take either 2 hour or 4 hour tour depending on the package.
Many agents are running this tour, pick genuine ones.

Great tour of the mangrove trees. Lots of wildlife! As part of making ecotourism more sustainable, our guide cautioned against feeding the eagles, lest they become dependent on tourists for food (already happening) & don’t get enough nutrition from the type of food that tourists feed (eg chicken skin)

We had one of the best experience in our Malaysia trip,You have to travel a little far, so book a car by grab, Simply a must do if you're in Langkawi - it's the best activity on the island. It's around 350 ringgit for whole boat, The fish farm is not really good but
the eagle feeding is ethical (NB you don't
physically feed the eagles, you watch them feed in the river), and along the river we saw monkeys, lizards and snakes. All in all, a terrific experience. There was a floating restaurants selling sea food and chickens dishes, we enjoyed a lot, it’s worth every single penny

Quite lovely nature park. The bat cave is a quick stop but quite nice to see. There’s also another cave the boats can go into and a bunch of curious monkeys there. Then the eagles are quite beautiful, a 10 minute stop and they feed them some chicken skin to get them diving. The one thing that was a waste of time for me was the fish farm. Not really interesting and a bit too touristy. Our boat driver was quite knowledgeable about much of what we saw. For me, 2 hours is plenty but if you like exploring then get the 3 hour tour.

Far more beautiful and exciting than expected. The boat rider allowed our kids to drive few minutes and they loved it. The eagle feeding was spectacular and beyond words. The rider explained various mountains as well.

Awesome experience. The geological beauty of the place will remind you to the Greatness of the God. It's such a beautiful and scenic place. It's very different with other places in Malaysia. We had our boat ride near sunset, it was a very serene ride.
Cove exploration, eagle feeding, visit floating restaurant and fish cages were main excursion but you can request other activities such as snorkeling and picnic at private beach.

One of the must go places in Langkawi. If you have time, highly recommended to take more than 3 hours package so that you can experience swimming at one of the beachfront facing Andaman sea. For my family and I, the highlight was eagle watching and the boat operator gave them chicken skins and you can watch how the eagles feed on the skin, what a view to watch with your eyes! Plan your trip early so that you avoid when the water level is high at noon, you may not be able to enter the crocodile caves. Also, if you plan to eat at the fish cages restaurants, suggest you find out waiting time because it can be very long wait for you.

Not to miss experience in langkawi. We took the 2 hour boat and it was amazing. However, in terms of ticket pricing, I felt cheated because the app is rm130 cheaper than walk-in booking. This is not stated in the app.
PS:
Have to book from app only 1 day before, so it's better to just book from there instead of walk in

Azir Aziz (@ansxcursion) and the Mangrove tour group were amazing! Kayaking through the Kilim GeoForest was something akin to paradise. We were so fortunate that Azir was able to show us a new route that took us to the Eagle feeding spot, through the Mangroves and low tide area to see colourful crabs, and past the curious macaque monkeys (we even saw a sleeping viper). It was a beautiful day out, and it is 100% worth doing! We would totally recommend Azir, as he goes above and beyond for your group. Azir made us feel so welcome and well looked after. He is a very experienced guide with excellent facts and knowledge of the area. To top it off he ensured that we got to spend some time at a stunning beach and then got home safely. A day to remember!

This park is definitely worth a visit. It is comparable to Vietnam's Halong Bay except this is much cleaner. There are many tourist attractions that you can go see such as crocodile cave, eagle feeding, floating fish farms, private beaches, mangroves and more. There are tour boats that will give you a taste of each.

Boat ride, mangrove tour, eagle feeding, bat caves excursion - all in within 2-3 hours tour (depending on which package one chooses), what else can you ask for?
Not regretting one bit as the experience was exhilarating especially for the little ones. If you get a good boat captain, one might get the chance to manoeuvre the boat as well 😉

One of my best decisions to visit this mangrove tour. Thanks God that the weather is amazing during my time. Those kind stuffs also help me to keep my luggages without charging. Rmb to check tide season before coming here bcs there are some places which u cannot access in high tide such as bat caves and crocodile caves. Which is very unfortunate for those ppl who prepared for long times to see this. They provide private and sharing tours. There are many packages included according to visiting hours. For me, I personally recommend 4-hrs tour with lunch. You can enjoy the strong wind and minor waves in Andaman open sea. Can go through mangrove path to watch swimming monkeys, go through crocodile cave. Having lunch at floating fish farm and look around the nature. What an amazing experience to relieve stress after hectic life.

Food stalls, an aviary & a pavilion on a pond are installed amid sculpture & flower gardens.
Sadly the aviary is now closed, but this very big park is still a magnificent place, with gorgeous viewpoints and lots of rare trees. The cable-car might be fun, but it's 100 for Thais and 200 for foreigners. I very much resent the blatant xenophobia of this policy so I didn't try it. Grow up, Thailand.

Back here after one year. Great view point overlooking entire hat yai. Wheelchair accessible - you can drive directly up right to the foot of the Buddha statue, just be considerate and park along the side so as to not block anything.
You can pay for prayers or just sit here to enjoy the view. The cafe seems closed.

Worth to visit if you keen doing some outdoor activities. Walked around 40 mins from the other route to get there and luckily it was welcomed by great sunset. Love the Buddha statue and others religious marks there.

Worth visiting attraction in Hatyai, approximately to stay for 2 to 3 hours. It has few temples which you can visit on the way down the hill and also the hill view of overall part of Hatyai. Cable car is available but only able to reach 2 temples. Better to take tuk tuk where you are able to stop each and every spot.

The very beautiful park with a nice pond at the bottom where a lot of families and friends picnic at. Some small stores around selling some food and activities to do at the open space.
You can catch a ride from the bottom (yellow truck) at only 20 baht per person. It will send you to the top where the tall buddha is. You can walk around and see the rest of the areas by walking.
Very nice and relaxing and authentic place.

This park is masive and it consists of 3 sightseeing temples. From downhill on the way up, will reached the majestic Guan Yin Buddha and Guan Gong statue. Kantiang Bay is a serene and peaceful beach with powdery white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The backdrop of lush rainforest-covered hills adds to the breathtaking beauty of this destination. It is an ideal location for those seeking solitude away from the bustling crowds. Although it is a large beach, it has unfortunately fallen prey to pollution, resulting in washed-up debris and plastic littered on its shores.
Kantiang Bay is definitely a hidden gem on the island. It is quite secluded and unfortunately no direct sunset view, but the sceneries are beautiful!
There are a few famous bars here to relax. Good to have a stroll, especially at sunset time!

Although the beach was empty, it was not inviting (see pictures). Visually, it was not an eye-catcher either. Maybe it was because the weather was a bit cloudy and the beach still had some moisture. At least it is a pure sandy beach with very calm water. I think it is well suited for children.

So so. The beach is very wide and have several river mouths, and they are pouring out on the beach with wastewater and trash.
Another bad thing in my opinion is that there are NO single tree on thee whole beach where you can hide in the shade.
You need to buy a parasol or rent one and a sunbed if you want to hide the sun.
Otherwise a really nice bay.

Excellent choice if you're looking to get away from the crowds. Absolutely stunning beach, just huge - with amazing soft sand. Unfortunately as with many beaches these days it falls victim to the amount of pollution we have the world over and does get a lot of washed up debris plastic. You will need your own transport - we hired a 250cc which managed fine but you might struggle on a small scooter. Couple of places down here to eat and stay. We stayed at the Bamboo Bay Resort which sounds a lot posher than it is! very happy with everything there, food was great, the rooms were good compared to Thai standards. Its all set on the side of a hill so involves a bit of uphill walking. Would definitely go back.

The beach is a spectacular one. Can't be 5 stars because there are six dogs living wildly (and not completely friendly) that grabbed our bag on a few occasions. Also, we found rusty clothes hunger and accumulation or rubbish in certain areas.

We didn’t find the bay good for enjoying the sea. There is lots of boats so we didn’t wanna swim here and left after a quick looking around. Bamboo Beach is much nicer, not far from here, a bit more in the south.

We came here during the low monsoon season so there was only a handful of tourists. The Emerald Pool is a mineral lake in a lush forest, which is a popular swimming spot. A wooden walking track leads visitors on an 800m - 1400m walk through the serene forest to reach the pool. The walk offers scenic views of waterfalls and the sounds of birds and insects, making it therapeutic for nature lovers. The natural pool has dark cyan coloured water that comes from trapped rocks beneath its surface. Swimmers are allowed to dip into the pool wearing swimsuits only.

A beautiful, serene place worth a visit. We enjoyed a 800m - 1400m walk into the forest to witness the emerald pool. The walk itself was scenic and therapeutic; we witnessed calming waterfalls, sounds of birds and insects and nature. The emerald pool is all natural with beautiful dark cyan coloured water that comes from trapped rocks underneath the surface. You’re free to dip in the pool as long as you have a swimsuit. It’s recommended to visit earlier in the morning rather than later in the afternoon as it closes at 16:30 pm. Do note that there is a 20 baht entry fee for Thai adults, while foreigners will be charged more. Other than that the public sanctuary also has a bird observing attraction worth a visit.

If you see a scene like this, will you keep quiet without splash into the water? Just with 200 bath to enter this national park, you can see an emerald pool in conservation area. With a lot of wild plant and animal.
Natural atmosphere accompanied me through the trail to the emerald pool. Birds and forest song blends beautifully with the sound of the river around it. Various kind of flowing water, some are through shallow pools, deep and areas, also ripples from river flow contours.
Some parts beside the emerald pool are slippery because of moss. While the bottom of the pool is sandy which will become cloudy if there is too much turmoil in the water. The rest of the pool is clear with the nature temperature. Make sure you don't bring any food and all kinds of soap. It seems the prohibited is a management effort to maintain the naturalness and cleanliness of this area. Must see while you’re in Krabi!

We decided to drive to Emerald pool via motorbike which took us 1 hr 30 mins. As per our research this place gets very crowded mid morning so we decided to leave earlier and got to this gem at 9am. We were a bit skeptical in the beginning as we were 1 out of 3 small groups there. At one point we had the pool to ourselves. By the time we left(10am) we saw 3 huge tour busses and 5 vans full of tourist arriving. We were super relieved with our decision. So if you ever decide to go, make sure to arrive before 10am! We managed to visit all three pools (Crystal, Emerald, and the blue lagoon). Note that you can only swim in the Emerald pool. It was super clean and clear. I recommend to bring aqua shoes, mosquito spray as you’ll be walking through hungry mosquitoes! And of course a towel. Swimming is a must! The water was very refreshing on a hot day. Entrance fee has been increased to 400 baht for tourists. Please note that they don’t accept card and toilets are 5-10 baht.

400 baht entry + expensive transport for a ‘natural’ pool. In my opinion not worth the visit, if you have extra time and money it is not bad. There are also vendors there you can get food and drinks. A very fun time for everyone. The water was very nice. The temperature was good and it was very clean.
I definitely recommend for people to take their families to this place. Go early and spend the whole day. There is no place to lock up your stuff. 400TB per adult which I feel is expensive for what it is.
The walk through the jungle was fine and the pool itself is lovely and great for a swim, and has some fish in there. We walked to the Blue Lagoon but for us it wasn't worth the walk, was a smaller blue pool of water that you can't swim in.
We went early in the morning and were the only one in the pool for some time which was nice.
Was nice to see the emerald pool but unsure if it's worth £20.

Beautiful park with lots of well curated trails. The main areas then to be overwhelmed with tourists and large groups. The hike is a little longer than expected. It's not for the faint of heart. One of the many touristy locations in Krabi, while the spot is good & well maintained its very crowded. Need to walk around 1 km from the entrance but the way through is pleasant. The only issue is it's far away from any other location & easily a half day tour. Unless you desperately want to tick your checklist it can be skipped

It's a beautiful place with crystal clear waters.
There are a few short nature trails. And you can also walk up to blue pool, in which you cannot swim.
Swimming in Emerald pool was very pleasant, and it is very picturesque.
That being said, I do not think that it is worth the entrance fee and the cost of the journey there.
If you love short nature walks and love looking at clear water, I can still say that it may be worth a visit. Go early as the crowd later in the day gets pretty crazy.
But if you're hesitant about it, I would say to give it a miss.

Nice place, there's a small stream of hot water, and a the same for cold water. The water is clear, but the staff is very restricting - no jumping (even when I held my kid and threw her), they also asked that the kids don't climb the trees... and I felt uncomfortable with them watching all the time.
Honestly, not worth the price of entry, in my opinion (400 adults, 200 kids). No outside food allowed.

A bit crowded but definitely worth the experience. Out of nowhere a butterfly came and landed on my chin while in the Emerald pool. The waters were clean and crystal clear. Walked to the blue pool which was ok but the walk through the jungle was what made the extra hike worth it. We enjoyed the experience.

Emerald Pool in Thailand is an absolute gem! The stunning natural beauty of this place is truly captivating. The crystal-clear, emerald green water is like something out of a dream. It's the perfect spot to cool off and relax amidst the serene surroundings. The lush green forest adds to the charm and makes it a picturesque destination for nature lovers. The pool itself is well-maintained, and the facilities are clean and convenient. Whether you're looking for a peaceful swim or a tranquil hike, Emerald Pool is definitely worth a visit. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! 🌿💦🌴
Ko Poda is a picturesque island with stunning white-sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters, making it a perfect spot for activities like snorkeling. It's part of the Four Islands Tour, which also includes Ko Thab, Ko Kai, and Phra Nang Cave Beach. The highlight of this tour is Phra Nang Cave Beach, where visitors can walk to the end of the beach to reach the famous cave.
Gorgeous, Amusing place. Crystal clear blue sea water. No touristic noise. People may take boat ⛵ to reach here. It feels great to come here and stay away from the urban hustle and bustle. Peace full 😊

A small island near Krabi only can be reached by boat. Clear blue water where you can take a dip. A giant rock in the sea makes it visually more beautiful..one of the best place to see sun set.
Aparajita Sengupta — Google review
Koh Poda is a small yet beautiful limestone island off the western coast of Thailand, known for its smooth sandy beaches and clear turquoise sea waters.
Despite its small size, it has become a popular tourist destination due to its natural beauty and water sports activities.
You can explore the island on foot, enjoying the sugary soft sand and palm trees surrounding it.
It is home to a beautiful coral reef, a limestone cliff, and calm waters, making it an ideal spot for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking.
It is accessible by boat from nearby beaches of Ao Nang and Rai Leh, with prices varying based on facilities and comfort.
The best time to visit is in the morning, preferably by 9:00 or 10:00 am, as the boat facility closes around 4pm, providing less crowd and more open space for relaxation.
It is part of an extensive group of largely uninhabited and semi-habited islands along the western coast of Thailand.
Koh Poda Island is a secluded island with beautiful scenery and a lack of fancy bars, restaurants, or beach resorts.
You can enjoy activities like snorkeling but must arrange equipment from tour companies or bring their own.
There is only a small bar and no restaurants, so you must make arrangements for lunch.
Due to the abundance of monkeys, it is important to protect your belongings.
For visiting : you can make planning in the morning, carrying valuables in a waterproof backpack, paying the 400 Baht entrance fee to park rangers, and packing lunch as there are no restaurants.
Jubaida Sheikh — Google review
Highly recommend exploring the entire island, as it hosts multiple gorgeous sandy beaches all hosting incredible views of the many tropical islands that surround it. This place is truly a paradise and extremely photogenic, even walking through the interior through the palm tree forests rather than around the edge of the beach is a beautiful walk. Definitely spend as much time here as you can.
Usually tours will visit this island, as well as the nearby sandbar islands if coming from Krabi, and coming from Phuket they might also include a visit to Krabi and Railay Beach (or it’s sister beach Phra Nang Beach).
Zachary Kay — Google review
The lack of information from the tour guide made us only focus on distributing lunch on this island without knowing if the object that must be visited on Koh Poda is its iconic rock. Again, we noticed it when we left the island.
BludStory — Google review
You can reach easily Poda island from Aonang beach by boat, return ticket is 300 bhat and national park fee is additional 200. You will just have to wait while at least 6 people come for the same ride but in a season it is very quick, it is 15 minutes ride from Aonang. Better go there earlier in the morning beacause the last return is at 4pm. The same boat will wait for you for the way back. You will be taken at the front beach just for individual trips and probbably won't be busy. The beach at the other side is for islands excursions and is crowded with tours if you come after 12 pm. But you can walk there to buy drinks or ice cream, there is a park as well. You can ask your boat driver to take you at the secret beach for some fee you give him extra. It is beautiful little spot at the edge of Poda island good for snorkling, you will see a lot of fish there.

It is an island accessible only by boat from Ao Nang and Noppaharat Thara pier. I took a four-island day-trip package. This was the last spot. The tour agency arranged lunch here and gave a notable duration for having lunch and relaxation, and exploring the island. The island is not so big, but the spectacular view of the beach and limestone cliff. The island is a National park; there is an entry fee. Our ticket was included in the tour package.

I have no words to describe this beautiful island. Extremely peaceful with trees around and serene.

If you are in Krabi I would suggest you taking this four island trip which covers some beautiful islands.

Beautiful beach, sand , cleanliness maintained
The iconic song Kaho na pyar hai was shot here
Picturesque, beautiful background
A small place for snacks available
Toilets were not well maintained when we had visited
We had gone as a part of our 7 island tour so couldn’t spend much time here. Would definitely love to visit again

Attention Sea Lovers! The cleanest of all beaches and sea water, Poda Island welcomes you to enjoy the sunset and take a dive into its crystal clear waters. This island is very beautiful. From ao nang it takes around 20 mins to get by long tail boat. I suggest you should go early before 10 am if youre taking a long tail boat because after that it starts getting crowded as the crowds who goes for a 4 island tours stops by for a lunch.

A very nice island to spend a few hours on, not as big as Hong Island, but there’s a nice beach and you can buy drinks and food there.

Very neat, clean and beautiful island. Here you can relax yourself with the beauty of this island. We did snorkeling 🤿 here and it was such a great experience, first time i did and it was amazing. We relaxed at this island for more than an hour. Here you will get food court and restroom. Must place to visit;!!!!!!

Awesome island with amazing beaches. If staying in Ao Nang recommend getting long boat taxi over and spending the day. For best/most secluded beach. Walk left from where boats drop you off and around the bend and walk as far as you can. Best beach we saw om our trip.
Phra Nang Cave Beach, also known as Phra Nang Beach, is a breathtaking cove that has been recognized as one of the world's most beautiful beaches. It features a picturesque sandy shoreline adorned with sea caves and towering limestone formations. The beach is famous for its sacred cave, which holds significance in local legends about enduring love. Additionally, it is a popular destination for rock climbing enthusiasts, offering training courses and thrilling experiences.
One of my bucket list to be here. You need to come by the boat only. And here we come by our yacht. So we don't need to pay for expensive food and dri K at the resort 😬
Still impressed with the beauty of sunset time here.

Simply amazing! Just a short walk from Railay beach which is crowded and full with boats, this beach feels like paradise! The water was very clear, the rocks are so beautiful. There is also a funny fertility cave. You can easily relax there all day, less shade though, bring sun screen and food/ drinks. Totally recommended!
Nina Marinova — Google review
Hands down, One of the best beaches I have ever experienced. Photos doesnt do justice. Have to experience it for real. About 15-20 mins walk from Sand Sea Resort, but mostly are shaded areas
If you are sun or photo-sensitive (especially for kids), can swim to the area nearby the cliff/cave to avoid being fried up. Otherwise if you enjoy the sun, can always swim at the open area:
Pristine, crystal clear waters and finely granulated sands which are friendly to your feet. Got schools of fish too, small and large. Ideal for snorkelling.
Please do not miss this beach if you are ever in Railay. Wonderful experience.

What a beautiful cave and beach it is. You will definitely love it, one of the beautiful parts of your 4 Island tour of karabi. Very sceneric place for videos and photos.
Here you will get 40-45 minutes to visit the place but here we can spend the complete day with the beauty of nature.
Must place to visit!!!!!!!!

We rented two kayaks at Railay beach and kayaked over here. It was an incredible experience, crystal clear waters and the massive rock formations towering over the surface of the sea.
We also kayaked through a couple of caves and ended up at the beach.
This is one of the most spectacular spots in Thailand and I highly recommend visiting if you have time.

Spectacular and beautiful beach, cave and rocky Island. It is a very busy place, so I recommend to go during the morning. Be careful if you go into the water because many sharp rocks. From there, take the walking trail that bring you on the others side.. you won’t regret it
Bleuet T — Google review
This beach was the best one in the area. I recommend going there and spend the whole day. The reason for that is that the water goes down during the day until late afternoon. You will see how the beach changes through the day and it’s beautiful. The way to the beach is quite easy and there is a lot of infrastructure for tourists, including bathrooms, kayaking, restaurants and a kiosk. You will be able to walk to the beach in front after 15:00 ~ 16:00 pm.
Deni Web — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I love how this beach is secluded and more difficult to get to, which prevents crowds. The limestone cliffs surrounding this beach make it a truly surreal and amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Awesome beach. Beautiful fine sand and lovely water. Sheltered in a bay so no big waves really to be concerned about and a great place to either sunbathe or swim. Sunsets are beautiful. Well worth the visit.
Andrew “Andy” Davis — Google review
Beautiful. A must see if in the region. We took a kayak for 200THB per hour, and drifted round the mountains through to the beach from Railay. We'll worth visiting.
The Travelling Owl — Google review
I've been staying on Railay for many years and this is always my favourite beach. The cliffs at each end are stunning as well as the clear blue waters. It's great here because there are no longer boats allowed in the area so it's a quiet tranquil beach. Unfortunately there are no food and beverage establishments on this beach so best bring your own drink and snacks. Of the rite aid beaches this one is the best during low tide because the water is still deep enough to swim near the beach.
Joey B — Google review
If you bring your own drinks and food, I highly recommend this beach over the other two options. It offers a more serene and stunning environment, with fewer crowds. Depending on the time of day, you can enjoy walking or swimming to the nearby little island. Additionally, there are charming caves to explore, adding to the overall adventure. However, it is important to exercise caution with the monkeys. When food is left unattended, they can become quite bold and aggressive. It's best to keep a distance and not engage with them as they prioritize their quest for food.
Mo Jongenburger — Google review
The most beautiful beach I have ever been on. Water was warm. Fish were nibbling me. A swimming crab came and sat on my arm for a rest. I could sit there for hours just looking at the sea stacks and cliffs
Neale Simpkins — Google review
Highly recommended when you are at Railey.
Do not miss out on this beach when you are at Railey. Beautiful and clean beach even though there are quite a lot of people. If you want a quieter beach spot to rest, you have to brave the wave to walk to another side of the beach. Not too hard to walk over, but when the waves are strong it will be a little difficult.
Best spot to watch sunset as well.
Jennie Chan — Google review
Probably the most beautiful beach I have had the pleasure of walking on. The water is warm and clear and calm. Unlike other beaches in the area it is swimmable even at low tide It's almost deserted before 10:00 and after 18:00. No boats!
Bill Quarre — Google review
Beautiful beach but sometimes a little bit crowded!
Fantastic nature, climbing rocks and clear water 😍
Chris Z — Google review
It was one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. We were on our Four Island trip and our ultimate destination was Phra Nang beach. The Cave beach is surrounded by hills in a remote island on Gulf of Thailand. The place was secluded, quaint and peaceful. We also watched the sunset from there. The experience was marvelous.
Piuli Basu Roy Chowdhury — Google review
Less than 10 minutes away from Railay Beach via a cute path, where, if lucky, you might spot monkeys climbing trees and walls.
The landscape is breathtaking, featuring a long sandy beach. I recommend walking and settling towards the middle or end for a more serene atmosphere with fewer people around. There are plenty of spots to capture, and while you're there, you can also explore the Princess Cave at the entrance, although in my opinion it might not be particularly special.
Alain Bart — Google review
Came here twice. Very clear water & good for snorkeling. You can see fish & corals if you choose the right spots. Can walk to the cliff in the sea on low tide and see a lot of corals.
Aris Pull — Google review
Phra Nang Beach is no more than 800 meters long. The beach is beautifully situated. At high tide it becomes quite narrow, especially in the middle part. The sand on the beach is very fine. Conditions for swimming are very good (snorkeling is good). "Long boats" are parked mainly in the middle part of the beach. In high season the beach is very crowded. Paid showers and toilets are available at the entrance to the beach, close to the Princess Cave.
In my opinion, Phra Nang Beach is a nice beach, worth visiting. Tourists who have not seen other beaches in Thailand will be delighted with it.

Krabi, Thailand
I'll never travel to Hua Hin without this trip planner again
Railay Beach, accessible only by boat, is a stunning peninsula known for its towering limestone cliffs and picturesque beaches. It's a popular destination for rock climbing and diving enthusiasts. The area offers a range of activities such as island hopping on longtail boats to nearby famous islands like James Bond Island and Maya Bay. Visitors can also explore the Krabi Fossilized Shellfish Cemetery, one of only three in the world, to see millions of years old fossils.
Very nice beach with a lot of tourists while the daytime. Try to be early or late there. A boat trip from the city costs 200 baht for one person. I can recommend the sunset there!

Very beautiful.
Bit overcrowded & over-expensive / But everyone is very nice.
The eastern side with cheaper accommodation doesn’t have a great beach, is kind of dirty with trash & has giant jellyfish.
Phra Nang beach, a 20 min walk is very pretty.
Everything is walkable - there’s no roads, it’s just a path from one end to the other. Many restaurants - selling from healthy food, coffee, weed & mushrooms (be aware there’s a lot on the island!), bars & resorts.
100 (x2) baht trail boat from Ao Nang (ask for return ticket also) - if not you can just pay the guy when you leave.
Beware of monkeys! They will steal your food and aren’t afraid to do it.
Gabriel Boivin — Google review
Railay beach used to have a reputation as a hippie enclave and you can still feel some of that history in the beach community.
Beautiful sunset view, adventurous ride in and out, monkeys, caves, and climbing.
A great beach for your more adventurous travelers.
Duncan Michael MacVean — Google review
Beautiful place but you have to block out the hoards of people and garbage piled up all over the beach and resort areas. The trash was really appalling. Really I’d give this place 3.5 stars.
Pros: we loved the lagoon hike and it’s definitely challenging! We enjoyed the epic sci-fi looking “floating” islands and swimming at the beach. I would have enjoyed rock climbing if I had time. The caves are quite nice too. The giant pile of phallic statues is hilarious. We took a boat to Ao Nang and rented a Moped and drove an hour and a half to emerald pool which was a very fun day.

Stunning beach with 2 parts to explore. You can see monkeys so hold on to your belongings! Great place to sunbathe, find shells and also get food. Lovely little street with small food places and shops. The other side of the island has a beach with caves and amazing rock formations where you can do rock climbing. Fun boat ride to the beach too!

Rare mixture of cliffs and caves along beautiful beaches. So called east beach is in very bad shape though. Carribbean style walking street and bars next to fancy hotels. Reptiles and monkeys free bonus.😅

Very nice beach, full of restaurants and bars. Good vegeterian and vegan choices, you can arrive only by boat and the last boat is 5.30pm
Ludovica Andreotti — Google review
Beautiful beach and wish we’d spent longer here! Definitely worth going for the sunsets and the music playing at the bars really fits the vibe! The only thing to be careful of are the men who take you on the boats as a group of us got ripped off. We were told after 7pm there is a extra fee so we asked to leave at 6:50pm and they refused unless we paid the fee even though most of us didn’t have cash! It got very spiteful so just bare this in mind.

First time here and we walked till the other end and found tew lay bar
You could tour most of the places in a days but still recommend to stay overnight here to get the night and peaceful beach views. Last boat to leave Railay beach is 6pm. Don’t miss you boat.
The diamond cave would need some fee to enter.
You will need to climb the cliff for Another viewpoint and lagoon.
Towards the other end, you will find Princess cave and swimming areas. The command toilet will need to pay for a fee for usage.

Overall it’s worth checking out if you have time. 200baht for the boat across, stunning scenery along the way.
Lots of restaurants, bars and dispensaries here. Lots of monkeys be aware don’t miss the cut off time if it’s just a day trip.
Absolutely stunning place, they have a pier on the opposite side we come during low tide it was ok.

Beautiful place but be careful with mafia type agencies, selling all included private transport then when off the beach and in Krabi they put you on shared minibuses! Having being caught out our family of 5 paid a lot of money to find shared transport which took over double the time. Get your receipt written in English not Thai!

Busy, noisy but visually it was beautiful.
It’s a must do visit for Krabi visitors and we went to see it (like everyone else). It looked very stunning as a photo opportunity because it is in a cove and has the high cliffs.
Railay beach felt more of a tourist resort (granted we were tourists) and less Thai authentic than some other areas we have visited.
I wouldn’t go back if I stayed in this area again.

Glad we made the decision to stay at a resort on this beach. The view is stunning, surrounded by amazing scenery. Mornings are especially beautiful with a tranquil atmosphere—no people or boats around. Even during the day and sunset, it wasn’t as crowded as we anticipated. The walking street is very, lined with numerous shops and restaurants. Hopefully, we’ll be back soon!

Ao Nang Beach is a bustling and popular destination in Krabi province, known for its scenic views of mountains and boats on the horizon. Once a fishing village, it now offers numerous restaurants, bars, and accommodations to suit every budget. The 1km-long stretch of soft sand is lined with colorful longtail boats and overlooked by famous limestone cliffs, making it an Instagram-worthy paradise. Visitors can enjoy activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, spa treatments, or simply relaxing in hammocks.

Great beach ⛱️ with awesome night market ❤️ at walking distance. At beach there is a free fire 🔥 show, you can tip as per your wish at the end of the show to the artists. Long boats 🚢 are available if you want a tour from here. Also there are several tours like 7 island tour etc. which you can book from beach side shops. Sea 🌊 shore is good for kids also as slope is very slow. Several restaurants with multiple cuisines like thai, mexican indian etc. are at walking distance. So many hotels are available nearby beacah itself. Cannabis shops are also at the beach side walkway if you want to go High 🤸.

Its quite long beach and the main point for watching the sunset, walk, sit and relax, etc. It’s also where all taxi boats run from, so I don’t find the beach and the water clean enough. But the rock formations and the view to the other islands is beautiful.

Ao Nang Beach is a picturesque destination that has earned a solid 4-star rating from me.
The beach's scenic beauty is truly captivating, with its soft sands and crystal-clear waters creating a mesmerizing backdrop for visitors to enjoy. The cleanliness of the beach is commendable, making it a pleasant environment for all to relish.
While the beach is undoubtedly a popular spot, it can get quite busy, especially during peak times. This may not be the best choice for those seeking a quiet and secluded spot for relaxation and sunbathing. However, it's perfect for a quick dip or a leisurely walk along the shoreline with friends.
One of the highlights of Ao Nang Beach is its stunning sunsets, providing a magnificent view that is a must-see for any visitor. Additionally, the beach comes alive in the evenings with various activities and entertainment, making it an exciting spot to spend time with friends and loved ones.
In conclusion, Ao Nang Beach offers a scenic and lively experience, making it an ideal destination for a quick dip, leisurely strolls, and witnessing beautiful sunsets. While it may get busy, the beach's charm and vibrant atmosphere more than compensate for it, creating a memorable beach experience.
Hope this helps 🙏

Clean and beautiful beach along the road. Right in front of walking street. Soft sand. Great place for sunset.

Nice beach at Ao Nang. It's the main beach in town and the easiest accessible beach. It's also the beach from which you depart to Railay Beach. The vibe here is nice, especially during sunset! The sand was a bit rough though at where we sat and there are many boats parked in the middle of the beach.

This place is amazing! Great views, shops, massages, restaurants, coffee shops, souvenir shops, hotels all over along the road!
The beach is very long, so it is never crowded, the sand is fine and the water is clear. To be in better condition, maibe go away from the pier(very noisy).

Aorang beach is a never sleep street in the morning and night. Full of boutique hotel, stalls, restaurant and massage centre. It is very convenient for tourist and a safe place to visit. The beach so clean and the sea water is very clear. Suggest not to come in February. Too hot.

Very nice beach in Ao Nang, not crowded, clean (except some trash brought by the tide) and very beautiful view on the small islands around. There are many spots to buy food and drinks all around as well as money changers.

It's a beautiful city. The high mountains next to the sea are very charming, a tourist attraction, convenient accommodations, and a center where you can travel to various places.

Ao nang beach is such a beautiful beach to sit and relax. Long tail boats are along the beach that you can take the service to go to another beautiful beaches and caves.
The beach road have a lot of bars, cafe and restaurants. It’s a must visit beach if you are in Thailand.

Very pretty beach and offers a great sunset from the many bars and restaurants opposite. To the left of the beach (if facing the sea) the monkey trail was fun up the bamboo scaffold and will lead to another private beach tonsai beach
Kojin_Wolf — Google review
One of the worst beaches I have been to yet. The only good thing is the amazing view. The water is really dirty and it seems like the sewer ends in it directly (where the monkey trail starts). The sidewalk is full of trash that doesn’t seem to be picked up frequently.
Nice to walk on the shore at night tho.

Ao Nang, Mueang Krabi District, Krabi 81180, Thailand
Wat Tham Suea Krabi is a vast temple complex nestled in the lush jungle, renowned for its impressive gold Buddha statue and extensive cave network. Situated 9km northwest of Krabi Town, this sprawling hill and cave temple complex makes for an excellent day trip. The entrance leads to a challenging 1260-step staircase that ascends to a 600m karst peak.
The temple was in very nice setting and everything was in the proper managed including the parking lot, the local shopping store area and also there were food sold in case you want to have a little meal in front the main entrance of the temple. There is some entry fee for international tourists/visitors but free for Thai people. The highlight of this temple is the 1,260 steps of stair climbing up the top of the cave hill. For us, it took about 40 minutes and literally depending on how healthy you are, some take shorter and some take longer time. I recommend you to try to reach to the top because the view and the area at the top is worth it. It was a breath taking view with the 360 view. You can see the horizontal of the ocean with the stunning view of the mountain beauty which is only located in Krabi. On the way, there were 2 the toilets stops and also there is drinking water tap at the top of the hill. I do recommend you to take a bottle of water. Due to the stairs is very steep and narrow so very be careful when climbing up and use the handrail will be more safe. Moreover, there is a number of steps wrote along the way which will give you a sense of progress. And also I suggest visit the tiger cave which is underneath the hill that we climb up. The overall experience was so memorable with stunning view and it may took you roughly 3 hours for this temple to explore. Enjoy the climbing.
Sriprapha Nguanson — Google review
Be ready for one hell of a stair climb. These aren't normal steps either, most of them are giant steps at a steep angle. Is it worth it? Depends on the individual really but I'd wager anyone willing to go there and climb the stairs in the first place would find it worthwhile. The views from the top are amazing, the statue is quite magnificent. It started raining as soon as we got up there which really helped cool us down. Can't imagine doing this in the middle of summer.
The state of the area up there could use a little attention.
Granted the stairs seem the only way up so that likely hampers any attempt at maintenance. Given the scale of construction of the temple at the foot of the mountain however, tells me a plan could be made. That's the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. Other than that it is quite a sight.
Dean Jooste — Google review
1260 steps and over 300m elevation. Not for the casuals. This will test your endurance but it's totally worth it once you get to the top. BRING WATER WITH YOU. I can't stress this enough. Also be mindful that you're visiting a temple so dress appropriately. The views are stunning.
Barkatt A-K — Google review
Such a beautiful place once you finally get to the top. The climb is pretty steep but worth it to see the beautiful golden Buddha at the top and the spectacular views of the surroundings. 1260 steps. Depending on your level of fitness it could take anywhere between 15 to 60 minutes.
Coralie Pattenden — Google review
A very beautiful scenic site on the top of the mountains but as it's said a difficult path often leads to a beautiful location so was the case with this. There are around 1260 extremely steep stairs to climb this location and not recommended for the faint hearted but the view from the top is magical and if you are ok with moderate trek then you must definitely try to go to the top of the mountain. It's really a feeling of accomplishment after completing this trek. A lovely experience and must recommended
Rahul Parab — Google review
One of the best temples we have visited in Thailand but be prepared for a long and steep climb.
The views from the top - once you get there - are superb. Also, make sure to check out the cave adjacent to the temple on the right past the main climb.
Would definitely try to come back here.
Stephan Modest — Google review
They are not lying when they say 1260 stairs but it is totally worth it. The Buddha at the top of the mountain is magnificent.
Do take plenty of water and make stops, everyone needs them you go straight up. No regrets I would go again.
Go early and be ready for monkeys they slide on the fence and can get to you very quickly.
Martin Jarc — Google review
This is one of the to go places in Krabi. But if you are unfit don't try it. It has over a thousand steps and some of it are steep. At the top you have a 360 degree view of the surrounding. Nice scenery. Do not carry too much things on the climb, keep your hands free to hold onto the railing.
Angie Fong — Google review
Strongly recommended to come to Tiger Cave for your Krabi trip.
Earliest entry is 6am so don’t be late for the breathtaking views. You gotta get proper attire, sports wear ok but no swimming for ladies.
You have been warned that the stairs have 1260 steps, steps are narrow, about 2km. Spare about 2 hours for this. There are no toilet at the peak but there are 2 “pit-stop” for toilet break. Stay hydrated.
Please help to keep the environment clean. Thank you to the temple to build and ensure safety for visitors too.
YK L — Google review
Gorgeous place, the climb too the top is steep and perilous but definitely worth a go. The views from the top are stunning and the temple is very nice. Few monkeys around which have a tendency to steal but they are very cute. Got an ice-cream after the decent. Loved it all.
Duff Beer — Google review
One thing I loved was that it's free to enter - they just ask for donations if you want to contribute. The view from the top is gorgeous after climbing those 1,260 steps (there are markers along the way to track your progress). I was wiped by the end but feeling that sense of accomplishment made it worthwhile!
Now, they do require you to cover shoulders and knees out of respect. They lend scarves at the entrance which is super nice. I did notice some people sneaking them off once inside which seemed kinda lame to me. But anyway, not a big deal to wrap up for the visit.
There are monkeys playing around on the trail which can be fun to see. And some dogs keeping them in check in case they get too excited. Make sure to pack water and an extra tee because you'll work up a sweat on the way up!
All in all, I'd definitely recommend stopping by Tiger Cave Temple if you want some exercise with a dose of culture and killer views. Don't psych yourself out about the stairs - take breaks and you'll get there! The scenery at the top is worth it.
Rhealaine Sayson — Google review
Worth a trip if you're in the area. Free entry and you can easily spend a few hours here if you're wanting to walk up the 1,200 steps to the top. Make sure you take plenty of water as you will need it. Great views at the top and you're rewarded with free water or you can buy cold water and snacks from the small shop.

This is a great place to visit during the morning or evening in cooler temperatures. It took us around 30 minutes to get to the top, though we did pass some people along the way. Something worth mentioning is that visiting this temple is no longer free and from March 2024 the entry cost is 50baht per person. The views from the top are great and it’s a lot windier up there which is refreshing.
Jamie Waller — Google review
When they said 1237 steps they meant it. The caveat is that some of those steps are on metal ladders attached to the cliff face and it is STEEP! In high temperature and humidity it was a massive challenge.
The view is spectacular. At the bottom there is a lot to explore. Definitely worth the trip.
Kaz Barlow — Google review
One of the place must see and not to be missed! Tiger Cave Temple, a place you can come for worship or exertion. Small fees for non Thai tourists.
Stairs climbing are not for the faint of heart. Get proper non-slip shoes or sandals. Small bottle of water recommended for hydration or unexpected turn of event. The view is breathtaking and worthwhile.
Follow the rules on proper clothing would be beneficial.
Sitthichai K — Google review
Gorgeous place. It's not an easy climb, but the view is breathtaking. The steps are steep, there's no drinking water available up there, there are 2 washrooms on the way up, there are railings on both sides to hold. The descend isn't easy either, feet tremble and it gets very hectic. But it's all worth the view! There are no tickets to this, you're welcome to donate for the temple fund as per your wish.
Vaishnavi B N — Google review
30-45 min hike to walk up the well maintained 1200 stairs. Take a stick with you to hold back cheeky monkeys. The view on top is amazing and the temple beautiful. It’s free to hike up but you can leave a donation for the monks that maintain the temple.
Lennard Greve — Google review
I went there on the sunrise. Peaceful place.
The viewpoint with the Golden Buddha is really worth it but you have to be sure about your health and definitely take some water with you. It is 1260 steps, pretty hard way up but once you make it you would be impressed by the view.
Nataliya Burmistrova — Google review
Moderate-hard climb. Doable in 20-30 minutes with good condition. The view was wonderful. We advise you to come later in the day when most of the tours are already passed.

The tiger cave temple walk is difficult! You have to climb over 1200 steps with 200 m of elevation. My husband and I are both fit and healthy and struggled to do this walk. We were drenched in sweat from the humidity. We went here as part of a day trip so we were there in the afternoon. Definitely better to go in the morning or evening. The views were absolutely worth it. The Buddha on top is large and impressive.
Renee Richter — Google review
Very nice temple and for free :) only donation if you'd like but otherwise you won't pay anything.
The walk up to the top is absolutely worth it
You'll go 1260 steps up the hill to reach the top.
Take enough water with you because you'll need it!
But on the top is a water refill station for free :)
The view is amazing and the Buddha is very beautiful!
Just be careful and watch out for the monkeys, they like taking things away hahah

Beautiful magnificent temple. It took me about 45min to go all the way up (as I needed to stop time to time). The views are gorgeous so it is well worth the effort. There is a water fountain at the end, which was very much appreciated.

Very nice place, great view at the top, remember water! Free water refill at the top was empty.
Not free as of march 2024, people at the start entrance changing 50 baht.
Beware of the monkeys, looks friendly, but they are not!

This is a great way to spend an evening. You need to be fit enough to clip steep stairs. If you don't mind taking your time, most active people should make it to the top. We went at 4pm when the sun wasn't so hot. I would recommend bringing water. Lots more to explore if you continue up the second set of stairs further inside the temple grounds.
Alexander Johnson — Google review
The hike is amazing and the views worth it, if you are fit you can go up in 20 minutes or less and down maybe in 15! You should keep you shirt in the temples but during the hike you can dressed as you want, there is also plenty of toilets and drinking water on the top!
Alfonso Sanchez — Google review
The views around the hike look very beautiful. But the destination itself never surprised me. if you are planning to hike during afternoon time, it will be very difficult for you because of the hot weather. You must bring bottle of water with you as there is no source of water or any kind of food above. Sunset time is recommended for this hike. 1200 steps are hard to climb but it gets easier with time.
Nasir — Google review
Worth the effort. Temp of 35 going up which made it harder so consider going earlier when cooler if you can.
Take a bottle of water and wear trainers!
Views from the top are great as are the monuments. The cave and big tree are set back as you go past the entry to Budda and are also worth a look. That's a much easier walk if elderly or have health issues. Enjoy

We did it early in the morning 7am to ensure the heat didn’t prevent us from making it to the top. The view was stunning and worth the 1260 steps.
It’s a tough climb but we did it in 25 mins.
Phang Nga Bay is a picturesque waterway that offers kayak tours and boat excursions. It boasts stunning views of the nearby cliffs, caves and rock formations that make for an unforgettable experience. If you're planning to visit, be sure to book with a reliable operator to fully enjoy its wonders. The bay's most famous attraction is James Bond Island which can be reached by taking a cool boat ride out to the island.
One of the most beautiful national parks we have visited. This National part is part of the southern of Thailand. It’s famous for James Bond Islamd, it’s amazing caves, limestones and green clean water. We reserved a kayak tour and it was amazing. We went around the island and saw many beautiful caves and rock formations. You have to try this at least once on life.
Armita Z — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous, yet not without problems. The beaches on the remote islands are full of trash. Rangers patrol, but they seem most interested in collecting the national park fee. I don't know if they ever pick up trash. Most of the plastic waste looks like it comes from fishermen judging by the composition: styrofoam, fishing net, energy drink bottles, etc. Jet skis are illegal in the bay, but they seem common. Certain parts of the bay can get really noisy and crowded, but it's easy to avoid those places unless you sign up with a mass tourism company to go on a tour. Avoid James Bond Island, Koh Panyi, and Koh Hong if you don't want to be part of a crowd.
Koh Yao Noi is delightful! Basically, do some research and you can have a wonderful experience. The bay is very worth visiting.

We had a beautiful experience on the canoe at the phang nga bay. The canoe operators are smooth talkers - well trained to highlight the beauty of the place and also know how to charm you 😊

Take a long boat ride around the bay. Stop at the Koh Panyee village on the water.
Pass through the waterways under the rocks.
See "The Jumping Tiger" on one of the islands.
Pass by the famous James Bond Island featured in The Man with The Golden Gun 1974 movie.
Multiple photo opportunities. I suggest a camera with good lenses over a phone.
The boat catches lots of sprinkles at high speed so be careful with your camera and phone.

Beautiful bay, with the most famous being James Bond Island.
Stunning boat ride out to the island. Cool little spot to take pictures and see the iconic island that was made famous by James Bond movie (the man with golden gun). A little touristy.
You have to pay a fee to land on the island and your around.
We did this as a tour and part of the package included a kayak experience (guided, no work on your part) at Hong island.

We were approached by agents from travel agency while waiting to board to Phuket from Bangkok Don Muang airport (DMK). We bought the day trip to Phang Nga specially hearing the James bond island where shooting of James Bond movie the guy with Golden Gun took place. A mini van took us from hotel at Patong to north easter port & we boarded a speed boat in group. Water was not blue but we were thrilled to see vast mangrove trees & hills over sea. Experience on lime stone sea cave & James Bond Island was unforgettable. A must visit place while in Thailand.

Phang Nga Bay is a wonderful place to spend the day. Like some other reviewers have said, it isn't without issues, but the natural beauty outshines these negatives. We took a short, spontaneous tour from Ban Khlong Khian Pier to James Bond Island. Just a reminder, keep cash on hand. We weren't planning on this trip and spent all of our cash on the boat ride, so we could not tour the island itself (yes, there's a fee).

Take a long-tailed boat tour to explore very beautiful limestone mountains & small caves in green open bay with mangrove forests along the way.Very relaxed & refreshing trip.
This island, popularly known as "James Bond Island," provides visitors with the opportunity to shop, swim and explore caves that are visible at low tide. The island features two rock mountains that lay on top of each other, creating a picturesque angle for photography. Additionally, the surface of these rocks boast a unique texture which adds to its allure. This is the same location featured in James Bond movies. A small cave is also situated on this island offering a similar experience as seen in pictures.
The James Bond Island or Khao Phing Kan island was a really nice place to visit. Along with the James Bond rock in the middle of the sea, the island also has a leaning limestone rock which is a great photo spot. We also went inside the cave nearby and the view of the ocean through the cave windows. It is a must place to visit.

James Bond island as it is known was a really tranquil experience. The views from the island really make you feel like you are in paradise. There are some toilets on the island, but don't expect them to be hotel quality.

Phang Nga Elephant Park is a reputable ethical wildlife sanctuary that provides opportunities for jungle walks and feeding and bathing elephants. Visitors can appreciate the close observation of these majestic creatures, feed them bananas, and snap pictures with them without the exploitation associated with circuses or shows. The park's rehabilitation efforts are commendable, making it an ideal destination for those who want to support elephant conservation. Volunteers are affable and welcoming while food is appetizing.
amazing place! they are taking such a great care of the elephants and doing an amazing rehabilitation work. this is a REAL sanctuary, so don't expect to ride one the elephants or to see some silly show. Instead they will let you observe from a close distance, feed them some bananas and take pictures with the elephants. BUT, this is what you want. its very important to only support the places that actually help elephants, and stay away from the shows and circuses that exploit the animals and treat them bad
we came as a big family and everyone from age 2 to 70 had an amazing time

There Are many elephant parks in Thailand. But the work these people do in order to preserve the life and well-being of the elephants seems to be above par. Elephants are well taken care of and they do bareback riding. Instead of riding in a cage on top of elephant. Bareback riding is supposed to be better for the elephant, but also really enhances the experience. It is worth the cost, it is a little bit more expensive. But overall the experience and education is worth it. One of the highlights of our Thailand trip

One of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Were a family of 4 (10 and 12 year old and 2 adults) and we wanted an ethical experience and this was just that. Walking with the elephant, feeding, washing as well as some excellent info beforehand and food. Thank you! 🙏

We visited this park as part of our getyourguide trip. It was a very modern park and after research it looks like this is a park with proper treatment to elephants. And from how we can judge, we think this is fine. There is enough space for them, of course wildlife would be the best option but we don’t know the reasons why they are locked in. Feeding was fun, we actually prepared the food for them. And the bathing was a very cool experience, it looked like the elephants enjoyed it too. And the water was clean, in other places it’s very muddy. We can definitely recommend this park

The most incredible place, we didn’t want to leave. Only negative I have is it wasn’t long enough. So professional in every way, lovely staff and just perfect in every way. Not just worth one visit but many more.

Wow what an experience! We booked the dusk elephant experience and it did not disappoint! Anna was an amazing host and was so knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had. It’s obvious that they put the welfare of the elephants first, only doing what they are happy doing, for as long as they are happy doing it. Even the food they served was incredibly delicious! 100% recommended for anyone who loves elephants

Khao Sok National Park is a renowned national park in Thailand that features an ancient rainforest, limestone cliffs, rare flora and fauna, and breathtaking waterfalls. Visitors can hike on the numerous trails available or opt for an elephant ride through the tropical rainforest. Additionally, visitors can enjoy canoeing or bamboo rafting on the Khao Sok River to witness limestone karsts.
Beautiful marine national park with extensive wildlife.
We stayed two nights and saw several animals during our time in the park, including wild elephants, king cobra, boar, Indian bison, and different kinds of monkeys.
On the first day we hiked up to a view point overlooking the southern part of the park. It’s quite a trek and not suitable if you have challenges walking. Beware of leeches during the wet season.
In the north eastern part of the lake, there’s another short hike you can take to visit a coral cave. It’s large and once you’re furthest into it there’s literally no light.
Can highly recommend spending a few days here if you enjoy nature and wildlife!

This is an absolutely stunning national park. The scenery is very beautiful, the mountains the sky are very beautiful. One of my personal favorite moments was waking up early and see the sunrise between the mouth. Despite the lake being man made, the wildlife surrounding the lake is very healthy and thriving. We saw multiple school of wild Buffalo, rare birds and all kinds of water lizard. Highly recommend if you love natural and wildlife.

The national park offers several activities for nature enthusiasts, such as jungle trekking, wildlife spotting, and bird watching. There are also opportunities for cave exploration, bamboo rafting along the Sok River, and swimming in natural pools and waterfalls. The park is known for its rich biodiversity, and it's a great place to experience the beauty of Thailand's tropical rainforests.

This area of very touristy except for further away resort. Overall, the resorts were not designed to cater to too many tourists. For example, the sewerage system are usually not well designed for large utilisation. In some cases, they are discharged into the lake. Overall, the scenery is nice.

A beautiful large lake. It is definitely worth taking a boat tour to visit the national park. You can see various animals and there are caves. These are also very interesting to explore. It is really impressive how the high mountains rise out of the water.

What a great adventure!! This was a few years ago. The park is kept very well. However, if you are adventurous, get a required guide so you can go to very offbeat areas that are full of beautiful jungle, rivers, and a little wildlife.
I asked our tour outfitter, Tiger Man (who i super highly recommend) to take me on a HARD hike, and he did just that. He required a check of my ability to make sure that i could make it. The guide was great and we stopped often and he explained parts of the jungle, such as a vine that had backwards thorns that the guide said was to keep snakes off, just as one example.
Many decades of hiking and this was definitely the toughest hike had been on, crossing through rivers, repelling down waterfalls, walking about 1KM down a river waist deep. But it all was fantastic…
If you go i would definitely recommend Tiger man as your guide/outfitter! He is great.

Great place we had the pleasure of visiting! Highly recommend having a tour guide. We used khaolaktourplan.com. Kang was our guide and he made the experience special!
We on a boat to a cave, jungle trail, awesome lunch in a bungalow hotel, drove around, then went to a special “Michelin Guide”restaurant that only locals go to! Khao sok was amazing!

Obviously the site has some visual impact and makes for a great day excursion. The walking through the cave was kind of a more thrilling experience with the swimming in the dark.
The rocky formations are very high and gives you a difference sense of scale, the scenery makes for great pics.
Be aware that on the 2 days tour you won't sleep in the middle of the rocky formations but on the side so can be disappointing. Also sad they don't stop a great Viewpoint to get the overall feeling of the landscape.

Stunning national park, would recommend staying on the lake bungalows if you can afford it, we paid around 50 euros. The scenery is spectacular. We also did a walk through the jungle and through a cave included in the price which was really cool. Not too toursity either unlike other parts of Thailand. Would 100% recommend.

Beautiful untouched place. You get amazed to see the rocks, turquoise water.
The best and cheapest way to see it is to arrive to the port and hire a long tail boat which will bring you everywhere, show all the most beautiful picturesque points and if you wish also to the floating restaurant. Price for the whole boat with the captain varies from 2000-3000 ฿

Staying in a floating bungalow is a great experience. The water is clear and great to swim in and the feeling when you wake up in the morning is amazing! I did a tour with a hostel in Khao Sok. We did a jungle safari, night safari and it was an incredible couple of days. You have to visit this place! One of the best experience in Thailand.

Beautiful scenery. Elephants can be seen or heard roaming around the park. Monkeys can also be seen. There is a fun trek to a cave also. Canoeing available. The local food served was very tasty.
The hotel on the lake we ended up staying at had communal bathrooms unless a 200 baht/per person update for a private/attached bathroom. The one star reduction mostly comes from there being no AC in the rooms and no electricity in the rooms until 6pm til about 10am.

This is an amazing serene place, which is definitely worth the visit.
The views of the surrounding cliffs are amazing. The blue water brought forth by the limestone rocks is a joy to have a swim in.
There are also heard of wild elephants in the region. They are rarely spotted, but you might get lucky.

A bit touristy, with lots of boat lining up to ferry the masses out onto the lake, but still well worth a visit. The day trip we did included an easy walk through the jungle, where our guide imparted various interesting facts about plants, insects and animals living within the park. We also completed a quick walk through the Pra Kai Pelch Cave. Which contains lots of stalagmites, stalactites and other spectacular formations.

Stunning scenery and pure serenity (except of the tourist boats going up and down)
We took a 5 hours private longtail boat “tour” from River View Resort at Chaewlan for 4500bht (such a ripoff. National park and some other fees were excluded 240bht, they don’t even provide a bottle of water) which was supposed to include a guide but the “guide” turned out to be the boatman who spoke no English. We basically sat on the boat under minimal shade and the boatman just drove us from place to place and gestured “bats (they were on a tree which you can only zoom in with your camera from the boat)” “monkeys (on the rocks)”and a bay that supposed had Elephants. We sat in the boat at the bay with 3 other boats just listening to crashing trees in the foliage while the boatman pointed into the trees “Eleohants” for 10mins.
When I asked if we could stop and swim. He just stared at me and we continued on. Went to a pontoon that had a restaurant (tables but didn’t looked like they served food) which was attached to small floating huts that had guests lounging on their fronts.
We also had a stop at the jungle trek (extra payment for ticket 200bht)
While the scenery was beautiful, I don’t think you will need to do 5 hours of it. It became rather pointless after the first 2.

Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks, popular natural formations resembling male and female genitalia, are a noteworthy tourist spot. Crowded with visitors taking selfies and portraits, the attraction creates traffic nightmares as people attempt to arrive by car on a narrow road. Local shops offer curios while clear blue water adds to the scenic beauty of the location. Visitors should tread cautiously due to slippery surfaces in wet conditions; solid grip soles are advisable since no barriers or safety banners have been put up yet.
Went on a drive on the scooter and found this place. It’s absolutely beautiful. It wasn’t too busy when we went to so there wasn’t too many people. There was no ticket needed only paid 10 baht to park our motorcycle.
The guide there was very friendly and told us the history of the place and the story of how the rocks came to be.
Nice place to visit. They also have a cooking school right there and a rock bar that looks really cool.
Tee — Google review
Below the belt puns and sarcasm aside. The rocks are impressive, and busy, drawing several tourists to take selfies and portrait pics for their personal accounts. Traffic was a nightmare.. everyone wanted to get there by car.. and cars trying to pass each other on the narrow road was a nail-biting ordeal even for pedestrians. Shops and curios galore.. clear blue water... And a warning about something being slippery when wet makes for a comic interlude... Avoid shoes without a solid grip sole..there are no barriers or safety banners.

Tourist trap. Only go very early. We went at 7am and only a few people there. Very beautiful, quiet and humorous. By 8:30-9am the vendors were opening their shops and many people started arriving. Note there is a small parking lot that you will need to pay for but very inexpensive and worth it. Enjoy.

A very nice outcropping of rocks which lend themselves to use as a trail & photo op. Trip to this Southern portion from Bophut took about 30 min. Well worth it. Lovely selection of stalls selling foods & souvenirs. Lots of inexpensive parking & midweek March is certainly not busy.

A great tourist attraction to spend half an hour or so at. You can either drive here and park for 30b at many car parks nearby or just walk along Lamai beach.
The rocks themselves aren't much to look at but make for a photograph or two. What's really nice here is the view and the little bay at the bottom of the main rock area. The sand is beautifully white and the water is quite literally crystal clear. Most visiting the rocks do not venture to the beach area so it's more quiet there and a lovely place for small children to splash about.
The little restaurant that faces the bay is also worth a visit for a quick bite to eat. You can enter both the restaurant and Rock Bar from the Bay. Rock bar has its own private beach too which is even more peaceful than the bay area here.

Peaceful spot. Lovely vista. Nice rock formations. Mostly famous for it male & female ones. Very small beach if you want sit in the shade of the big tree & take a dip. Narrow road but at the end there are 3 car parks 30 bt. Plenty of vendors selling food, snakes, drinks & gifts. Usual time spent walking around & taking photos 30 to 45min.

It is located at southern Lamai Beach. It is also popularly known as Grandfather and Grandmother rocks due to its unique formation which looks like male and female organs. It's very picturesque and visitors love to click a lot of pictures on these amazing rocks. The beach is quite small. There are quite a few souvenir shops nearby. We loved eating here coconut ice cream served in a half broken coconut at a stall.

We visited this place, because we drove by. But it is definitiv not necessary to plan a trip to this location. There are only some 20 or 25 stones in the water and nothing more. You can walk on them, but that’s it. You have a nice view over the ocean and unfortunately nothing more. For parking you have to Pay 10 THB for the motorcycle. I think that this is not an official fee, but there was a sign and an old guy is standing there to collect the money. Yes… 10 THB is not that much money, but if the old guy is doing this the whole day with a lot of tourists, he will get a nice income, for nothing. Furthermore there are only some tourist booths, which want to sell you some overpriced goods.
Max Power — Google review
The place is nice enough to stop by but there really is not a lot going on to be honest. Their are far nicer spots to stop driving along the coastal line where the views offer far more to be desired, the rock faces are wider spread and more sprawling in the waters and their are less people flocking. There is a cost for parking here, it’s not a lot, 10 baht for a bike, but you’ll only need to spend 10 mins or so unless you stop somewhere for a snack or drink. Either way, if you’re passing it it’s still worth visiting to know you went.

Just rock formations shaped like male and female genitalia. Though the beach is lovely and you can spend your time there.
I went there as a part of group tour. The guide gave us 20 minutes to explore the place. The place is rocky and would recommend to be careful. It gets hot in the morning so keep water handy. It can get crowded so come in early to beat the heat and the crowd.

Chaweng Beach is a popular destination on Koh Samui known for its long, spacious stretch of powdery soft sand and upbeat vibe. The wide bay and five-kilometer beach attract tourists with its water sports, dining options, and various hotel choices. It's bordered by rocky lands with offshore reefs and the small island of Koh Matlam to the north.

Amazing beach where you can find everything you need.
Jetski and many other water activities, Thai massage, small chilled beach bars, big Party beach clubs, fire show,...
It's not crowded at all so you will always find a nice spot to roll-out your towel.

I came to explore for a few minutes and ended up staying the entire day.
One of the several beaches around Koh Samui.. And as I have come to learn in Thailand.. you need to find your own magic beach that makes your soul sing..
Chaweng Beach is mine. Clear blue waters, white powdery sand and small fish swimming in the shallows.. palm tree fringed and dotted with several resorts and near by shopping perhaps makes this one of the more popular and best beaches around as well.
What's great is the reef further in that acts as a kind of breaker for the bigger waves.. translating into a gentle lapping on the beach.
Now if you find your perfect beach club, and have some drinks on hand, and cool tunes drifting over the water.. and the odd aircraft flying over (for take off of touch down at Samui Airport) you pretty much described Chaweng beach.
On the eastern side of the island, sunrise is guaranteed to be pretty awesome on this beach.
Come see for yourself.

Probably the most crowded beach in the island. Hotels and resorts along the beach front. Loud music night and even in the morning. Sunrise is beautiful here. The only time that is a bit quiet. Golden sand but narrow beach.
The Foodie Architect — Google review
I have seen two sides of this beach.
To the north when there is low tide the beach gets very dirty ( because of the natural barrier at the sea, causes the water to get stagnant) and the south part that was always clean. There are some natural debries on the sand ( wood and canes) but nothing that skocked me.
In general it's a pretty good beach.

A looong beach with clear turquoise water, with many clubs and beach bars.It may seem too much at the fist glance but there is place for everyone - even if you are looking for a quiet spot to lay down on your towel and read a book you can find it there. And of course if you are looking for fun and action you came to the right place😉

Arguably still the best beach for swimming and easy beaching on Samui. No rocks, shallow sandy shore, and enough trees for shelter. Particularly the very South end (with the little boat harbour) is calmer and nice to sit under the trees. But be careful and watch out for jellyfish - this is a notorious hotspot!!
Christoph Bode — Google review
Beautiful beach with clear water and fine sand. Sea is calmer on the north side. Many resorts with direct access. Great for swimming, paddling and kayaking. Coming to Koh Samui for years and I can't believe the changes. The main tourists to the island now are young families with young children and nothing their for them. Chaweng main road now has turned into one big weed store. Every second shop now is weed in between a restaurant or massage shop. Everything is far more expensive then Europe
The Night Market Fishermans Village in Bophut, Koh Samui is a lively and popular attraction that comes alive every Friday evening. The charming beachside shopping street of Bophut offers a cool sea breeze, chic beachfront restaurants, and various shops. The night market adds to the upbeat vibe with its carnival-like atmosphere created by the bright network of vendors spread across the area.
Lively night market held four nights a week with a wide variety of vendors (clothing, jewelry, souvenirs, various goods), food and drink stands (cheap cocktails!) and live music. Enjoyed coming here while in Samui. Great for people watching.

Lovely market with nice souvenirs. Not open every day. Looks like it closes on weekends.
There is a food market with cheap food, but doesnt look safe. Food is not correctly refrigerated or stored. It is better to eat somewhere more expensive ( at 80-120 baht a thai dish) than eating here and risking food poisoning.
Only eat fresh food made from fruits or make sure to look where they store it.
Nicolas Muttoni — Google review
This is a crowded spot for tourists looking to try street food and shop for souvenirs. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the excitement and over buy. Don’t forget to convert from your currency to Thai baht so you will know how much you are actually spending and also be sure to bargain. The asking price is always too much and is negotiable. Try the street food. There were four of us who ate different things on two different occasions and none of us got sick. Just use common sense.

Strolling through the night market at Fisherman's Village is truly an enjoyable experience. The market is dotted with quaint stalls, perfect for picking up unique souvenirs. I'd suggest arriving a tad earlier to avoid the peak crowd and nearby traffic. While some spots provide parking for scooters or cars, it's generally laid-back. Feel free to park your scooter by the roadside without much fuss.

A wonderful market, one of the best in Thailand. It is good because the variety and quantity of food allows you to enjoy something new every day. Today it's a vegetarian dinner, tomorrow it's an assortment of meat.
The market has 2 entrances - the one on the road side offers a row of stalls with cheaper food than the one closer to the beach.
The cocktail mafia has taken over almost all the tables, which is not normal even for such a popular island. To properly eat the food you bought, you have to spend time to find a table out of the many free tables, but one where you "can sit". So find a table first, then buy the food.
The second disadvantage of this market is the lack of a salad bar, nde you can assemble yourself a bowl with a variety of food. To collect a plate you need to spend time wading through the crowd. Therefore, you should come after 8 o'clock if you want to eat and enjoy the authentic atmosphere of the market.
The market also sells many fake items of famous brands of excellent quality, indistinguishable from the original.
The market is open on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, opening fully around 5pm.

A barrage of colour, smells, and sounds. The market is divided into two sections; merchandise and food.
There are many stalls selling an assortment of items from mundane to exotic (elephants carved out of coconuts?).
The food section gives one abundant opportunity to dive into the mysterious realm of street food. Abandon inhibitions and dive in! An tropical concoction is a must while examining the options.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting around 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM or so. Friday's can be VERY busy.

Liked this market, can get really busy and the walking alley is really narrow but once you get past the initial stalls it is well spaced out by the time you get to the food market. Also the lady selling home made coconut ice cream is worth a try, tasty and a generous portion.

Food prices non negotiable but clothing and souvenirs are all negotiable. Pair of trainers if at 1500bht they won’t let you walk away unless you’re dropping or trying to drop under 1000. I always use a rule of a third 1/3 of their starting price as what I want to take off their top price. To walk away costs nothing and you can always go back after a short period to buy anyway

Excellent destination to spend the evening chilling either drinking or eating in one off the many beach bars or restaurants or walking around looking at the many stalls or shops . It feels extremely friendly and safe where you can unwind and relax.

Koh Samui's premier night market and it certainly gets pretty busy. It's a chilled atmosphere and pretty big however I found the food options, though varied, not of great quality. There was anything from sushi, to kebabs, to pasta, to seafood, to fruits, to desserts but most things didn't look all that appealing. The drink stands including the masses of cocktail stands, did a good trade with all the western tourists frequenting this market.
Very convenient market if you are staying in the Bo Phut area, else it's a dark ride home to the areas of Samui.

The stand with grilled pork neck, ribs, beef and chicken is my favorite. I recommend it to all meat lovers. You have to walk straight from the main road entrance almost until the end of the pathway. You’ll see a handsome young guy at the grill, right before the cocktail stands. It’s on the right side, there is only one shop with marinated shrimp after him.

It's a very nice market to experience a lot of street food and even to buy souvenirs. The prices are high for souvenirs but with bargaining you will be able to get it very low. The market is not open every day, it's on alternate days. There are some shops which are open everyday but many small shops are temporarily set up for a day, so those ones keep moving. So try to visit this place on a market day.

It is the best place to spend time in the evening in Koh Samui without any doubt. It is 10 times better than Chaweng main street. It is one km long street which is a pedestrian zone. From whichever side you enter, you will find bars, restaurants, clothes and souvenir shops on both sides beside temporary stalls on the road selling cheap stuff. There are a lot of restaurants serving local and international cuisines. On weekends it's heavily crowded. It's full of life.
Balkrishna Shroff — Google review
If you are like me you will love this night market! Find the stall with the crispy pork with the cracklin on and the shrimp donuts and the rolled ice cream and so much more. There are tables to sit at that you don’t have to buy a cocktail, you just have to ask 👍

Many options and the food I bought tasted actually quite good. My biggest complaint is that I couldn't even sit down to eat my food unless I buy an over-priced drink from the menu. Why is it compulsive to get a drink? Never had that terrible experience anywhere else in Thailand. Just annoying.

We’ve come here quite a lot over the years and the food is still as good ! There is so many options to choose from and it’s all very cheap. Definitely recommend the homemade pasta stall and the porchetta roll :))

Loved this marker really worth the visit a good variety of food especially Halaal options which was great to see. Live music as well although the seating Infront of the stage seemed to be reserved for people who were drinking from the bars. Eating only tables set to one side. Some clothing and other usual market things on sale too. Good prices in general

The renowned Phra Yai temple is home to an impressive Buddha statue that dates back to 1972. The grandiose gilded figure dominates the vibrant complex, attracting visitors from all over the world. The temple's Big Buddha is a significant religious and cultural symbol, representing Buddhist teachings and principles. Its enormity and beauty are awe-inspiring, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking spiritual enlightenment or simply marveling at architectural magnificence.
It's definitely a must-see location on Samui. 10 min ride from the airport. You can grab a lunch with a see view, shop local arts, and visit Big Buddha temple. Views are stunning. Food is delicious and well priced. Parking was plenty on a Sunday. It is free.

Very big and beautiful statue. Easily accessible as you can drive to it and not that many stairs to climb. Magnificent views around the statue. Would definitely recommend to go see this place

Big Buddha is one of the must see temples in Samui.
It is clean and well kept.
There are stalls selling clothes (remember this is a place of respect, show some and cover up, it'll be appreciated) other stalls selling drinks, food etc.
Parking can be tricky. The stairs are not too bad, small and not steep. The view is beautiful.

Amazing place to see different types of Buddha Statues. I was totally mesmerised by seeing those beautiful statues of Lord Buddha.
Also we can buy so many souvenirs from there, if you want to have memories of your travel. I couldn’t tell which one of Lord Buddha statue is amazing. All of them were so beautiful.
The main Lord Buddha in the front is so huge and it shines when Sunlight hits.
Amazing to watch Thailand culture.

Beautiful! It was super nice to see this temple. The Buddha is huge and beautiful! It is also free entry which is nice. There are a lot of cute shops around too. The view from the top is amazing! It’s super hot in the direct sunlight so I would recommend going earlier in the morning or in the afternoon :)

A must visit spot if you are in Koh Samui. This big Buddha statue overlooks the island and is a must visit spot for tourists looking to witness some culture while in Samui.
If you happen to visit on a clear sky day during the golden hour, you can see a beautiful sunset here.

Very beautiful but small temple. The view over the sea is beautiful. As are the statues and temples. Down next to the stairs sits a monk, who wishes you good luck.
Entrance is free. There are several market stalls found in the square at the bottom of the temple.

Wow, so beautiful!
One can easily spend a day here, so peaceful and beautiful.
The grounds are impeccably clean.
Nice areas to sit, take in the views or meditate.
Definitely recommend a visit.

A beautiful golden Buddha on the island. From there you also have a beautiful view and there are also a few restaurants in front of the temple. It is worth visiting the Buddah briefly, because it doesn't take much time to see everything. But as with all temples, you should think of long clothes.

It is one of the main attraction in Koh Samui. This beautiful 40 feet tall statue was built in 1972 on Koh Fan island which was attached to Koh Samui subsequently. Buddha is religious GOD of Thai culture. One should dress properly before visiting. A little respect is expected. If you sit quietly for few minutes then mind becomes very calm in this serene ambiance. In the afternoon the steps become very hot. There are quite a few souvenir and local food stalls nearby in the temple complex.
Not to be missed...

The place was good, had some blessing from the monk. Overlooking the sea. Sacred place, wear appropriate clothing. Free entrance. Unlimited taking of photos. Stairs is not hard to climb. Lots of bazaars in the bottom area of the temple. It was hot during my April visit so wear sunscreen, hat and umbrella.

Lovely place to go out and visit! Last entry is 6.30pm with no charge can stroll around and enjoy the views over looking the water. You'll also get to see many of the planes arriving and taking off. Would be careful when we came back down the gates had been locked up but the one to the left while closed wasn't locked so just to use this if that happens

A must see in Samui. Only a couple of seats on the main platform to sit and meditate, or can sit on the floor. Many bells that you can ring, listen to the different tones, some are sweet, some dissonant, like life. Good viewpoint for sunset is the road leading to Big Buddha.

I really enjoyed my visit here. I was not expecting much but, positively surprised once I arrived. The temple itself is beautiful and spans across multiple levels. At the top where the large Buddha Statue is situated you have a nice view of the surrounding area. Around the temple there are some souvenir shops and small kiosks and cafes to get some refreshments.
Christian Timmermann — Google review
Never really understood the appeal of these big golden Buddha statues. This is another one. Just get there, walk up to it, look at it and err that’s it. Really no more impressive than looking at a picture. There are numerous bells there to dong which makes it a bit better. Planes fly very low over the statue every ten minutes. Lots of shops below the statue selling tourist tat.

The beach at Thong Nai Pan is a laid-back and family-friendly destination, with a picturesque setting on the northeast side of the island. It is supported by numerous casual food and drink establishments as well as shops, making it an ideal location for relaxation and enjoyment. Despite being often neglected by travelers, Thong Nai Pan offers a distinct charm that should not be missed.
During our day tour of Koh Phangan Island, our guide brought us here to spend some time. It was a beautiful long beach. There were few resorts and restaurants overlooking the sea. Boating facility was also available. The beach was quite long and very clean. Ideal for couples and families.

The upper part of the beach is a bit weird: not much sand to put your towel on, a lot of sunbeds owned by hotels and resorts. The lower beach is much nicer and no huge waves.

Nice sandy beach. However it’s mostly resorts around there and not much to do. Furthermore the shade is fully taken by resort’s sunbeds and it is not possible to use them unless you are a customer of the resort.

Beautiful beach and area with clean soft sand and water. There are waves however, swimmable depending on the current. Like the beach village vibe quieter and feels smaller and nicer than Haad yao for instance. Clean areas. Small amount of free motorbike parking . A choice of beach restaurants to choose from .

Wide beach with a nice fine sand. The beach is clean with no seaweed. It is also very wide and not crowded. There are numerous restaurants and bars at the beach. Beautiful views. The beach is at the gulf so the sea is very calm. There are also numerous trees so you can hide in the shade

The Bottle Beach 1 Resort is a relaxed and casual beachfront hotel with bungalows, an outdoor pool, a bar, and a restaurant. The resort offers guests the perfect getaway for swimming and snorkelling on the lovely stretch of sand surrounded by green hills. Visitors can also take part in hiking adventures from Ban Chalok Lam or explore Thong Nai Pan via beach taxi. The rooms are clean with stunning beach views adding to the tranquil vibe of this remote location.
Excellent stay, the beach is so remote and clean at the same time. Tranquility vibes. Rooms were good, clean, beachfront with amazing view. Many different choice of cocktails at the bar. Recommend!

RESEARCH FIRST!
Obvious pro: location
Obvious cons: location. Research this place before coming here. You'll be cut off the rest of the island, and transfers are troublesome. AC and hot water aren't free. If you change your mind you won't be able to cancel. However all of those is not a terrible sacrifice for the heavenly beach.
Plumbing is a huge issue. Never got solved. It's as disgusting as you can imagine. When we were tired of floating excrement, we were finally moved to a different bungalow, where toilet worked but the sink didn't drain. Still an improvement.

We stayed here 3 nights and it felt like absolute paradise. Rooms are spacious and clean and you can sleep with open windows, mosquitoes are no big deal. Staff was so friendly and speaked good English and we felt as if we were staying with friends! Thank you for the best time.

Booked the hotel because of Beach, AC, free parking
after booking (and payment) got a email with special instructions
"only way to go there is by 4x4" and we will pick you up (for a extra fee of course)
and your car can park on the side of a road in the middle of nowhere.
so i called the hotel and the agree to cancel for a full refund. (at least this one guy agree)
3 days later the changed there mind and refuse any refund !!
So think 2 times if you go there !!
YOU ARE TO 100% UP FROM THEM !!
YOU EAT AND DRINK THERE WHAT THE OFFER !!
YOU PAY WHATEVER THE ASK !!
AND IF THE CHANGE THERE MIND YOU CAN NOT GO OUT !!
Achim Rossbach — Google review
RUN AWAY ! The hotel notifies you the day before arrival of information on how to get to the accommodation: road impassable by scooter, car or on foot, only by 4x4 with their taxi service.
Exorbitant price!!! 300 baht/person/way !!!! It's too expensive ! Just imagine the amount to go out and in 2x a day...
I absolutely do not agree with this, taking customers off their damaged road should be free!!!!!!
Refusal to refund and lack of respect. Stealing their customer's money

Did not stay here but grabbed a coconut after the trail (very much needed) - staff were lovely, helpful boat taxi man that kept me posted on leaving times, the menu looked nice though I didn’t eat (being on a budget means not splashing on food in remote areas, but it was not crazy expensive like some places).

This place is definitely a cool place. I liked the beach here. However it was very confusing getting to bottle beach, the signs are badly placed and it’s hard to find. I drove for another hour just searching for it. There was no warning at all from the hotel, but to reach the hotel, you must walk on a very bad and dangerous road for half an hour that’s impossible to ride a bike on. Walking up the steep hill for half an hour made it more difficult to do stuff during the day. Additionally I had laundry done here and when it was returned to me I failed to check it. However the next day when I went to put on my clothes they had failed to dry them. I was quite surprised by this, Ive never had that happen before and was very disappointed. Because I didn't want my clothes to get moldy the following day I had to wait for an hour to pay for them to be dried at a laundry place.

Worst customer service we have ever experienced and we travel fairly frequently. When we arrived on the island I messaged the hotel on WhatsApp to let them know we arrived. I asked how much the shuttle service was from their parking lot to the hotel (you cannot drive the last 2 km unless you have a 4X4). They told me that it cost 100 baht per person. It was 9pm so I asked if it was okay if we arrived between 10-11pm because we were waiting for our dinner. (Also, it’s approx 40 min drive from the pier to their parking lot). I was told to come before 10:30pm. We get there on time and take the shuttle to the hotel. When we talk to the girl at reception she said it was 200 baht per person because it was past 9:00pm. I showed her the message on my phone where I was told it was 100 baht per person. My husband and I were talking very calmly and simply said we were misinformed. She all of a sudden started yelling at us (and her male coworker did too) saying it is 200 baht and the person messaging me wasn’t even there. She then ripped up the bill and said “fine, you don’t need to pay anything” and stormed off. We still put the money on the counter and another worker (who was the only nice one) brought us to our room since she stormed off. After that we felt very uncomfortable and unsafe at the resort.
We never took the shuttle afterwards but tried taking it the day we were departing (since we had backpacks). We asked if they could take us to the parking lot and the girl said they were fully booked for the next few hours. Meanwhile the shuttle truck was parked outside with no one in it and there was a sign saying it ran every hour. Also note I was 16 weeks pregnant at the time… luckily we went to the neighbouring resort and they took us up right away.
Other than that we found the room wasn’t cleaned well and the bed was uncomfortable (I could feel the springs in the mattress). If you wanted to use AC or hot water you need to pay an additional charge.
I also want to note that the location is nice, however if you are like us and want to explore the rest of the island it’s probably not the best place to stay as a lot of the good restaurants and markets are atleast 40 mins away. Also, unless you want to walk in the jungle at night, you pretty much need to get back to the hotel before 10:30pm to take the shuttle. (As I learned after the fact after 9pm the price is double).

Basic Bungalow directly on a beautiful beach. Unfortunately a lot of waste on the beach.
They have a typical beach restaurant. Nothing special but good. Sometimes you had to wait longer to order because nobody was there. Swimming Pool was cleanbut didn't use it because you have the sea.
Bungalow was also clean. No warm water and no AC but who need that directly at the ocean in a tropical zone.
The area is great if you like it calm. You can reach the resort only by boat or Jeep on a adventorous street. Because bad wheather only jeep was available. From the Pier to the resort it cost 300 Baht.
Simon — Google review
Great location if you don't consider how inconvenient it is to get to your room.
Having to pay or walk for kilometers through the jungle till you arrive vice versa if you're parking your car or scooter up the top, cause it seems you can't access the resort directly.
Host experience really bad though, would not recommend staying here.

Location is perfect, in case you look for serenity, with few people, and pretty much secluded from the outside world - then it is the place. The Sea is nice to swim. The staff at the restaurant are very nice. They also provide transfer from/to the hotel, since definitely not recommending to go there by your car/motorbike due to unpaved road last 15 mins. During rain that road can be quite dangerous.
Rooms are old and a smelling mold. Quite expensive room considering how equipped it is. In case you want air conditioner and hot water, you have to pay daily extra, which is ridiculous. In the room is fan, which is a bit helpful. No room service. However area is nice and green around. The pool looked a bit dirty.
Even though living conditions were not ideal, I still loved the bottle beach, it has its magic.

We stayed in a bungalow above the beach with an amazing view. Very clean, no AC but 2 fans that were sufficient. This is a family-run place and Khun Pom and her husband were very nice. We loved swimming and snorkeling in the beautiful bay, saw many colourful fishes and baby sharks and enjoyed working at the bar/restaurant (good wifi everywhere, good food and smoothies!). 5-10min from Sairee Beach with a motorbike. Beautiful beach and very nice feel-home local resorts and and restaurants owned by a family. To those saying that the locals and the staff don’t try their best to clean up the beach - please know that they do. You may not see them doing the deed when you come and visit the beach, but they try.
There are multiple causes for the garbage on the shore. One, would be the illegal dumping caused by people and maybe sewer overflows. Who knows.
All in all I think we should just pick up one or two things when you walk across. It doesn’t hurt.
The waves today are awesome. I see a lot of people enjoying themselves. Cheers!

The beach is beautiful BUT the owner of the restaurant it’s a person with anger management problems. I saw some tourists having pictures on the sun beds and the owner hit one of them because he wanted them to pay. They were just taking pictures.

We came to the bay to see the sharks and didn’t thought that the beach had corals as well so we entered the beach from here and when we arrived we bought a bottle of water as they have big size ones, also when in the beach we though on asking here if they had snorkelling glasses and they did and the best is that we rented the glasses at 50 thb each and we had fun a lot. They also have sun beds which they rent at 100 thb per person.

Didn't stay in the rooms, just visited the restaurant. People wrongly give this place bad reviews. Entering Aow Leuk through this hotel is free! The woman on the main entrance near Chabaly charges the entrance 50bht, not here. You can use their sunbeds, order some delicious shakes, coconut or cold beer or have a bite to eat. Papaya salad and chicken spring rolls are a delight.
Bare in mind that this beach faces east, and when ever east or southeast wind blows, this beach will have big waves, ergo a lot of ocean garbage will wash out on the beach.
The water and the beach were mostly cleaned up, but still a lot of broken chairs and random garbage lying around.

Nang Yuan Island, also known as Koh Nang Yuan, is a beautiful and picturesque island in Koh Tao that boasts a sandy beach and is popular for snorkeling and diving. The island is covered in lush foliage, with aquamarine waters and white sands that create a vibrant atmosphere. Visitors can hike to the top of the hill for panoramic views of this heavenly piece of land.
How to get to Koh Nang Yuan Viewpoint
The viewpoint on Koh Nang Yuan offers one of the most famous and photographed panoramas in Thailand.

Highly highly highly recommend this place for people to enjoy snorkeling without any diving or swimming knowledge. White sands, clear water with beautiful fishes and crabs in sight. It’s a short boat ride from Koh Tao to Koh Nang Yuan. You need to pay small entrance fee and no food or plastic is allowed. Island closes at 5, so be sure to go there early morning to spend the whole day. You can rent snorkeling equipment from there and enjoy. There are also hiking paths and places to view the islands from above.

( these photo were taken on April 7th) ⭐️⭐️I recommend you to book a trip to the island in advance so you can have a tour guide. (and in the ferry you have complimentary stay in vip room ) The island tour includes a buffet lunch. Some of the spots I took were from the private zones of the tour. the tour start It's very early in the morning so there aren't many people yet. Recommend you to come after Songkran in Thailand onwards. because during Songkran there will be a lot of people 💥 If you want privacy Let's come Monday to Friday. small island but bright water It's very hot during the day. You can rent diving equipment from the water shop. But there is also a deposit (~1000baht)

This is a beautiful island to visit, there isn’t much choice on where to buy any snacks whilst visiting. And no plastic is allowed to enter island, any plastic bottles are taken away when entering and paying the entrance fee. If you head up to the view point be prepared for a little queue on the final section. (The hike is not a long walk so a little wait is ok for a quick picture).

One of the most beautiful islands of Thailand , this can be reached by a boat ride from koh samui. There are options of some hotel if you want to spend a night. But yes, that night would be damn right in the lap of nature with only sounds of the waves. Can also be reached for a day trip. Definitely a must visit if you are in koh samui. Little hiking is required to reach the viewpoint but once you reach the view is mind blowing.

Nang Yuan Island is one of the top things to visit in Koh Tao and there is a reason for that. This uniquely shaped island is extremely beautiful and focuses on being a green island as well. You can for example not bring any plastic bottles on the island.
