Visited on a wild and windy day.
Still made so welcome. Very low cost to enter. Amazing. Fascinating history, spectacular views. Basic but good snack bar and facilities near top of castle. A very enjoyable visit.
Paul Trunchion — Google review
One of those "must do" trips if you're in the area. Actually a really nice opportunity for a walk with the family. Fantastic views from the top. Lovely little coffee shop at the top also serving alcohol so we stopped for beer and cake. Saw a beautiful red squirrel in the grounds also.
Pammy Croasdale — Google review
For 3 euros it's a must as the Denia views are great. Not a huge amount to see but worth the walk.
richmouland — Google review
On a bright day this is an affordable and scenic hike up and down a rather old and well preserved castle in the heart of Denia. Come prepared to climb and pause the climb, especially with elders. Refreshments can be found at the cafe on top. Stunning views with ample space for photos. Laid back vibes and not overly-crowded. A space equal parts history and imagination.
Justin Rogers-Cooper — Google review
Loved this high hill castle in the heart of Denia’s old town. We visited early on a Monday morning, but even then it was clearly popular with locals and tourists.
There was lots to look at in the castle buildings themselves, but I must admit the views of the town from this high vantage point took most of my attention.
Excellent for just walking around and exploring, as well as getting to know the surrounding area.
Graeme Kirk — Google review
Awesome view of the city and surrounding area. The castle itself is but a ruin, but the restoration of the battlements really shows how impressive the castle was.
Cheap and enjoyable experience, highly reccomendable.
Nicolai Nielsen — Google review
Ruins of Castle of Denia are definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. There's not a lot remaining but you do get a super view of the surrounding area and it's very cheap at 2euros per old person, and dogs are allowed.
David Mitchell — Google review
Amazing view from the top, the castle/fortress is beautiful. I find one spot that very interesting for me, there was an entrance and the stone floor has a very flat and slippery surface. Interesting and beautiful, please becareful when you walk on it. There is also cafetariaand toilet on top, And I love how the cats are taken care of in this area. They provide food and drink for the cats. It was a nice visit there.
Katy H — Google review
I enjoyed a lot the visit there. It was in the 15th of August and it was crazy hot and humid, but anyways a great visit. It took us about two hours of slow walking to go around the whole place.
El Manzanito — Google review
For only 5 euros the Castle and its views are a must when visiting Denia. It’s a steep climb to the top but worth the views
Catherine Heather — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous! Can't say anymore. The views are spectacular! The castle and ruins are so lovely and interestings! Little museums inside too. Loads of cats around! 🥰🤭
British Scone — Google review
There is a huge amount of history to learn about by visiting this castle, from the Greeks to the Romans, Moors, Spanish wars and more.
It's well worth a visit if you are in Dénia, but decent shoes are recommended or at least good sandals as parts of the steep paths are uneven and in several places slippery.
There are great views from the top of the castle, a good reason to visit if nothing else. From the top you can see right over Dénia and the mountains.
Entry was only €2 each (seniors) which included a guided tour.
Tony Payne — Google review
An impressive old castle with a lot of history. Splendid views over Dénia and the surrounding mountains and landscapes.
Lord Mark “MightyDutchman” Polane — Google review
lovely place to visit only 3 euros and fantastic views
Cathy Hill — Google review
Beautiful views, lovely walk and reasonably priced to get in.
Andrea Almeida — Google review
The castle itself is nothing really special, but the views of the city are fantastic. We took our dog with us and had no problem whatsoever. The walk up to the castle through the narrow streets is beautiful with many picture opportunities. It's well worth a visit.

Platja de Gandia is a popular beach located in the coastal town of Gandia, Spain. This picturesque beach stretches over three kilometers and features fine golden sand, clear blue waters, and ample space for sunbathing and swimming. The beach is well-equipped with facilities such as showers, toilets, changing rooms, sun loungers and parasols for rent. The promenade along the beach is dotted with restaurants serving delicious seafood delicacies and cafes offering refreshing drinks to quench your thirst.
The Ducal Palace of Gandia is a historical landmark that dates back to the early 1300s. Throughout its history, it has been occupied by the Borja dukes of Gandia and boasts opulent Gothic and Baroque interiors. Though remodeled in the 19th century, original details are still present in the building. The Salon de las Coronas is among several lavish rooms while the Galeria Dorada stands out with its decorated rooms and tiled floor depicting the four elements.
Very helpful staff, wheelchair access including lift. We had a guide which was very interesting.

interesting and beautiful place well worth a visit. Some renovation going on so not really logic way of seeing things... But besides that all good.

Home of the Borgia’s! Very interesting guide who explained the history of times gone by, and the extraordinary Borgia family!
Mickie Price — Google review
Beautiful architecture and brimming with history, excellent English speaking guide.
A must visit if visiting Gandia
Very interesting, beautiful pictures and ceilings. The golden gallery is stunning.
It' just a pity that it looks very uninteresting from outside, you would pass it without a second glance if you didn' t know it was there, and the surrounding buildings are also not very appeaing.
Lets just say that the setting is not great.
On the plus side: very friendly staff, a good sound guide and an easy underground parking next door.
Forget about a stroll through Gandia though, its very depressing!
Hans Maes — Google review
This is a beautifully preserved historical palace. You can get a guided tour, audio guide, and some days dramatic guided tours. I got the audio guide and it was narrated well with lots of information. You only see the second floor but that's alright, because there's lots to see. You can probably spend 1 hour in this place.
Shaira Cruz — Google review
A real jewel. Totally must-see attraction in Gandia. Our guide Gabriel was fascinating... made the whole tour absolutely riveting and left us all feeling like we'd taken a 4 credit course of Spanish history at uni. The palace is exquisite and a tribute to the Jesuits who have helped keeping it for posterity.
Alberto Gonzales — Google review
I had a few hours to waste in Gandia and by chance passed by the palace. Well worth a visit of about an hour. Well laid out, I used the QR to guide myself around and it was easy. A lot to view. By the river but fairly central and lots of places to get refreshments nearby.
John Hopgood — Google review
lovely old palace showing the different decoration styles of the many centuries since it was first built. Splendid architecture, poor furnishing and the many royal portraits could do with nametags...
Lucas A. Ocken — Google review
Great palace, the collection of tiles were worth 👌 seeing.
Got a 20% discount via our hotel...
PAUL PEARCE — Google review
Low key 'palace' , well worth a visit for extraordinary decoration . I'd have wanted a little more about the Ducal role in so iety, but otherwise this plan is a secret gem in the heart of Gandia.

Carrer del Duc Alfons el Vell, 1, 46701 Gandia, Valencia, Spain
This tranquil beach in Alicante is ideal for a family day out, with great facilities for children including a play area and long promenade with restaurants and shops. The golden sand and crystal-clear waters make it the perfect spot for a sunset swim or just to relax on a hot day.
Very nice beach with a view of a big and nice mountain
Andri ?sgeirsson — Google review
It is one of the best beaches in the whole of Spain maybe as of 2023. The beach is clean with transparent water. Even one can see the fishes and corals while swimming. Again the beach is filled with great restaurants and cocktail bars. One can stay in nice hotels or BNBs even on the beach. It has a lot of different flavours together.
Debanjan Dey — Google review
Two minute walk from our hotel, a lovely walk down towards the rock and then it continues all around to the town centre. Very clean and great to just stroll and enjoy the sunshine and views.

Calpe is a wonderful sleepy town (at least in May!) and Playa de la Fossa is a great Costa Blanca beach. Super clear and clean. Restaurants, shops, and many other things nearby.

Max Mukoida — Google review
Lovely beach to chill out on for the day. Every night/morning tractors go out and sieve the sand. The sunbeds are reasonably priced for the day. The sea itself is pretty calm and shallow, great for kids and adults alike to go for a swim or paddling. Lots of restaurants and bars along the sea front to choose from. Also a great like ice cream parlour located next to Tango restaurant, where the staff are really friendly!
Jason Pinkett — Google review
A good place to go on holidays but not all year. There are parts of the year where they don’t clean the beach AT ALL. And sometimes they just stack it up near the embankment so it’s nearly taller. On the other hand, There is plenty of places to rent marine transport. E.g there are 2 places right in the beach where you can rent a Catamaran, paddle surf or kayak and there is a place a little further that has bike surfs and electric bike surfs.
Denis — Google review
Amazing beach with perfect water and great view !
There is a also a free parking place just behind the beach.
Asaf Asher — Google review
I visited Platja la Fossa on Spain's national day on the 12th of October. I have visited a lot of beaches in Spain over the years and this is without doubt one of the very best. Was extremely easy to find parking even on a national holiday.
The beach was busy but not crowded and we were able to pitch up right next to the water. Sand was pristine, water was turquoise blue and extremely calm. Lots of cafes and restaurants open and the view of the rock was absolutely breathtaking.
October is a fab month to visit too. Unlike peak summer you can stay the entire day without it ever feeling oppressively hot.
Highly recommended!!!
Nick Karp — Google review
Very nice area for evening walk and also great beach although we weren't beaching there. If was clean, not that busy and with great views! The letters of Calpe are a nice place to have a photo at (of course I have had a few). There are also lots of bars and restaurant that you coild choose from for a drink or a meal. Would recommend it, if in the area.

The Parc Natural del Penyal d'Ifac is a compact nature reserve with a large limestone outcrop, trails and scenic sea views. It is ideal for sport diving, fishing, and anchoring your boat. The natural cove is tranquil and perfect for snorkelling and scuba diving, as well as for fishing. The hike to the tunnel part of the reserve can be difficult for inexperienced hikers and dogs are not recommended due to the difficult terrain after the tunnel.
Amazing hike and definitely worth doing if you get the chance. It took us over an hour to get to the top as the track was busy. It's not suitable for children and make sure you wear good shoes. We loved the views walking up and at the top the view is spectacular!
Kent Routen — Google review

The Rock of Calpe! If you are in reasonable condition you can climb the rock. Do reserve a free "slot" via the internet. Mind the temperature of the day as it is a brisk walk. Make sure you drink enough. Count on 1.5 to 2 hours up, but the return journey also takes at least 1.5 hours. Enjoy a beautiful view. Yes...!
And also walk through the harbor along the pedestrian promenade at the bottom of the rock along the sea...😃🌅
Leo Van Zon — Google review
A beautiful park, you definitely have to visit it when you are in Calpe. Entry is free, but you need to register because only 300 people can enter per day. Views are breathtaking and there are lots of beautiful birds all around especially in summer. And also take some good shoes with you because some of the rocks are very slippy.
DOMCZY — Google review
Amazing hike with breathtaking views along the way. For experienced and surefooted hikers it’s easy to get up. I’d recommend to wear shoes with good profile. At some places it can be very slippery. It takes between 30 min and 1 hour to reach to the top. Recommended for a sunset hike.
Pascal Maurice — Google review

Fantastic viewpoint, accessible after a tough climb. The first part to the cave is easy to do. Then it becomes scrambling and there are some dangerous pieces in it. Doable in itself, provided you are sporty and you should not be afraid of heights. Bring good shoes, sunscreen and plenty to drink.
Boris Dingenouts — Google review
We went up the Peñon on a Sunday in mid-January in good weather conditions (not too hot, not too cool, minimal wind and good visibility). The booking system is straightforward, though the gates were not well supervised and my strong impression is that there were significantly over 300 people on the rock (I wasn't counting and I may be wrong) but in places it felt quite crowded and slower older walkers were "under pressure to let pass" from runners and younger groups. Additionally some of the walkers were under 18 (which is not recommended for the post-tunnel stage) and a few walkers had dogs on leads. The sloping tunnel between the two sides of the rock is quite dark and given the very smooth rock surface a small headtorch would not be amiss. Getting up the top is strenuous in places, although I'm sure that regular climbers of the rock know the best paths across the trickier stretches.
In my view there are better walks in the area. Though the rock itself is stunning from a distance, I'm not sure that the views along the route and at the top itself are sufficiently spectacular to justify the effort.
.... and as previous reviewers have said, suitable footwear is a must, be prepared for several sections where you will need to hold onto chains, no really bad sheer "drops" but some of the ledges are narrow and a little hairy if you don't like that sort of thing.
Simon Barb — Google review
Very nice hike. The first part (until the tunnel) is okay and accessible for everybody. The views from here are also very nice.
After the tunnel things get difficult. Not for the unexperienced hiker and certainly not for dogs or young children. Wear proper shoes, bring water and a snack and go slow.
The view is worth it. If you go later during the day, it gets quite busy and it makes going down harder.
Gianni Camilleri — Google review
Beautiful natural area/park around the rock, lots of paths to take and some great viewpoints. You'll need to be fairly fit and able to use some of these. Visitor centre also.

Spectacular views !! * Permit.. so called needed - but saw no checks !
Certainly a very doable trek, once you are aware of your footing on higher grounds and through the tunnel ( which is shiny = slippery )
Think the trek should be more so monitored on the types of people + footwear going up.. against how many people can go a day.. Lots of unfit / unable / even young kids and small dogs ?!
Making it both slow and a hazard for everyone else. Accidents happen but these accidents can be prevented with a bit of common sense !
Mark O'Kelly — Google review
The climb up is a bit challenging so better wear hiking boots. They say you should make an appointment but people just go pass the gate anyway outside of the official opening times. The route to the tunnel is easy, the tunnel is of course dark and as it’s cut by a machine, rough surface. From the tunnel on it gets challenging as the wet rocks are slippery and you need to grab the metal chain in order to not to fall down. The view from the top is beautiful and worth all the effort. Reserve at least 2,5 hours for the hike. Don’t start the hike after 16.00 as it’s too challenging in the dark.

NOTE: You are supposed to register before you take the hike. If you plan to start early morning you will be confronted by the park rangers on your way down and threatened withe a huge fine of 600 to 6000 euros.
Otherwise a nice hike / climb. Around 1.5 hours to get to the top for an inexperienced hiker.
There are chains / cable for support on the steep parts.

The Parc Natural del Penyal d'Ifac visitor center is a great option for those who want to learn more about the natural beauty of Spain's Costa Blanca. This center offers visitors a detailed view of the local fauna and flora as well as the geology of the area.
One of the main advantages of the visitor center is that it is located in a privileged location, right next to the impressive Peñón de Ifach. From there you can enjoy impressive panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the coast of Alicante.
Overall, the Centro de Visitantes del Parc Natural del Penyal d'Ifac is a must for those who are interested in nature and want to discover one of the most impressive natural wonders on the Costa Blanca. I would highly recommend this center to anyone visiting the area.

Nice hiking.
Careful to book an appointment before going.
It is possible to hike at any daylight moment.
I advise hiking as soon as the sun shines, the view is amazing and the heat is manageable.
Enjoy the hike.

Very unpleasant and rude staff. I have already climbed the mountain twice and this time I wanted to show my mom, who flew 3600km to Spain. We didn't have a reservation, because it was never necessary until now. We were rudely kicked out. There were people in front of us who were very aggressively kicked out by the staff. The staff refused to help them deal with the reservation for the next time. I am very sad that such an incredibly beautiful place is met with such unpleasant people at the entrance. By the way, Google marks the booking site as unsafe

Had a walk around the promenade from the Diamante Hotel towards the rock and then around the corner onto the beach and into the town. Nice little town with plenty of old buildings and shops off the main drag. Fresh orange trees and stunning views with lots of Xmas decorations still in place. El Castell de Guadalest, also known as Guadalest, is a picturesque Valencian town nestled in the mountainous region of Marina Baixa, Alicante, Spain. Despite its small size and population, this medieval village boasts a rich history showcased within its castle walls. Visitors can explore charming bars and restaurants as well as a diverse array of museums.
Mundomar is a multi-animal park located in Benidorm, Spain. It offers visitors the chance to get up close and personal with dolphins, sea lions, parrots and other exotic creatures. Many of the shows are performed by the animals themselves, including dancing dolphins and pirates. There's also an area where children can become keepers for a day.
What a day! We went for the VIP ticket and there was only 2 of us on the tour! We learnt so much from Victor our guide and how the animals are cared for. The park is amazing and what they are doing for conservation is outstanding. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and knowledgeable. The icing on the cake was getting to touch the Dolphins and to go into the lemur enclosure and have them sit on your shoulder. AMAZING! So worth the price and the park has amazing views. We will be back for sure!

I came here 18 years ago, I have photos of me with seals and dolphins so I took my family here in 2022. They enjoyed it, we watched the seal/sea lion show and the dolphins. Enjoyed it all even if most of it was in Spanish. Well worth a visit especially their top dolphin breeding program.

Incredible experience, travelled to Benidorm from the UK and booked Mundomar and Aqualandia as a duo booking for just €39.
The dolphin and sea lion shows are amazing! The park is spotless clean and you can tell the animals are well taken care of. There are plenty of toilets and places to get food and drink dotted around the park.
Would highly recommend a visit if you're in Benidorm :)

What a lovely place to visit ,,we saw the dolphin show which was brilliant .
All the animals look healthy and well looked after .
A little bit hilly upto the top of the park ,but not too bad.
Only negative was the cheese burger ,which was tasteless and bland .still tasting it hours after consuming it ,so suppose you get your moneys worth.
Overall excellent day out and good price if you go to round the town travel .

We loved it so much!!! It feels animals are well cared for and have sufficient space. And the guides are outstanding, we had Victor to walk us through the park, and he was brilliant sharing all interesting facts about each animal. Meeting Black and white Madagascar lemurs and feeding birds was experience to treasure for long! Thank you Victor, you made our visit to MundoMar a very special one:)

What an amazing place, we booked the V.I.P package for €59 each and was not disappointed when we arrived we were all given our own Mundomar bag and t-shirt and introduced to our tour guide we had Carla who did an amazing job showing us around and teaching us about the animals. Also included in the V.I.P package was meet and greet with the Sea lions, Dolphins and Birds, but much more than we had photos with the giant tortoises, fed the Lorikeets and Lemurs which was amazing. The tour also provides free drinks and food so well worth the money. The views overlooking Benidorm from outside the restaurant are breathtaking. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff are all very friendly. This is must do day whenever you visit Benidorm we loved it.

It's a great experience and the dolphin show is amazing. I would recommend not taking pictures with lemurs or any other animal, as it will cost you 8€ and you will get a very poor-quality picture. This is because the staff doesn't take more than 2 seconds to take a picture. It's rushed and very obvious that it's just a way to make money off the tourists.

We loved the sealion and dolphin shows. The sea lions come right up close to you and you can have pics taken and if you like buy them at the end. A small play area for little ones to play. Beautiful views from the top and a gift shop. We stayed 3hrs and that was enough to see it all. Overall my kids loved it.

Amazing Day Out. We went for the VIP experience with guide Vincent and was fantastic. We managed to learn so much about the animals, have unique experiences within the cages and have photos alongside dolphins, sea lions and parrots. They even provided a drink and some sweet and savoury snacks. Plus stayed in the park 30 minutes after closing. They really do care about the animals and is well worth the price.

Fantastic experience for young to old. The VIP experience is well worth it, including a free t-shirt and bag. The photographs and hands-on moments with the dolphins, sea lions, birds and black and white lemurs will be something to remember for life.

An amazing place to visit for the day , plenty to see and walk around. The shows have Spanish, then English speech so if you are here on holiday , you'll know what's going on . Staff are so friendly and understanding (my daughter is autistic and broke a bone in her foot just before we came out so is in a boot and a crutch) 100% recommended booking online , you can do same day booking !

My husband and i had a very good time here! It was a really nice stroll and we got the chance to admire a few species of birds and mammals. There was also a dolphins show which we enjoyed in particular.
We bought the tickets form the ticket booth but they would have been 20 euros cheaper had we purchased them online. However, we received coupons with a discount for Aqualandia, which was nice.
We got there by car but visitors can reach Mundomar by taxi or bus as well, so this is an easily accessible location.
We were able to admire fish, apes, parrots, penguins, seals, flamingos, dolphins, ducks, lemurs and a few other species i can’t remember right now.
Also, the view from the top is fantastic!
I recommend this place to families with children, couples and groups of friends. This is an activity that people all ages can enjoy. And i would also recommend purchasing tickets in advance, as they are much cheaper that the ones purchased from the booth.

Good place for the kids, 3 shows that was close enough in time that you did not feel like you were waiting for to long between them! The children was really enjoying the park. The only downside was that the park it self was a bit small

Levante beach is a public beach located in the heart of Benidorm. It has wide sands, plenty of sun loungers and facilities such as showers and volleyball nets. It's one of the busiest beaches in Benidorm, especially during the summer months.
Absolutely beautiful beach to visit on your holiday to Benidorm. There are always activities going on during the summer time that anyone is able to take part in. There is also plenty of space if you would prefer a more quiet and relaxed area.
The beach is filled with beautiful views and I was very surprise with how clean the beach was. There was no rubbish at all on the beach when we went to visit. There is food and drink always near by. All the pubs and bars seem to be family friendly along the beach so I believe it would be a nice location for families too.
We often found ourselves walking along the beach front in the afternoon to watch the sunset. It is very beautiful during this time. At night the strip is light up and so are the bars, but there is no lights on the beach and the sea are becomes extremely dark so be careful with any children.

Levante Beach is a standout in Benidorm with its lovely sandy shores. We hired beach chairs for £6 per day, which was a great deal, and spent several delightful days here. The kids absolutely adored it, making it a perfect spot for families.
Our beach days were complemented with refreshing drinks at Heartbreak Rock Bar and 7 Seas Pub, and delicious ice cream from Pinocchio Playa. The staff at these places were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
If you're in Benidorm, I highly recommend Levante Beach for a day (or more) of sun and fun, and don't forget to visit these fantastic nearby spots for great service and treats.

I experienced no issues with the train itself! However, the employees that work at the station to assist me were instead acting in the exact opposite way. They treated the customers disrespectfully, rudely, and unprofessionally! I once went and used my debit card to pay for a ticket. However, today, a different woman tells me that I am not able to use my card to purchase the same ticket I purchased yesterday. The card terminal was operational; the individual merely attempted to misuse the limited authority she possesses! Simply repulsive! Second, there are the unimproved agents, or so-called controllers, in the train. once more impolite and unprofessional.

Small train station at the border of Benidorm.
Around 20-25 minutes walk from the center.
From here you will have to take the bus to Allicante since the railways are still under construction.
The train ticket prices are low , 1,35 euro to Altea this is for a single ticket.
Inside the new building there are two ticket machines that accept cash (coins, paper) debit cards and credit cards.
There is also a small office with some service desks.
There are two toilets cabins , 1 toilet seat for ladies and one toilet seat for the gentlemen plus a hanging urinoir. Plus running water to wash your hands.
There are also some vending machines with beverages and candy / chips.
We hired both apartments with connecting door, lovely and spacious clean and well equipped. Good wheelchair access in downstairs apartment. Would definitely stay here again, I would try all beds as I like a soft mattress.

Terra Mítica is an amusement park that features various themed areas based on ancient cultures. The park offers a mix of white-knuckle rides and family-friendly attractions, as well as live shows for entertainment. The staff are friendly and the park is well-maintained with plenty of cafes and cooling stations available. COVID-19 precautions are in place to ensure visitor safety, although not all areas may be open at this time.
Loved it!!! We went today and we could easily get on the rides with no waiting and yes the temperature was over 35 degrees but there was plenty of shadow and plenty of refreshing areas. My son had a meal there and the price is the same as you would pay in the same sort of attractions, so fair enough. We were very happy and would definitely come back!!!! ♥️ I had 2 toddlers with me and they loved to swim in the river there too!!!

Visited here 2 years ago was great, visited on the 3rd August 2021 and was absolutely awful! Paid full price to get in although virtually all of the adult attractions were closed, no information as to why? Didn't see a shop open until 1pm even then only a few opened up, all children over 6 were forced to wear face masks! No covid information prior to entering the park whatsoever?? No coolers on at all and very limited shade in the queue's for what rides were open. Would not return even if they paid me to. 😡

We were in the park on June 30, Friday. We are family eith 13 &11 years kids.We all are over 1,6 m. Although the park opens at 10:30, we arrived at 11. The parking lot was empty (€7 per car). Single families. We parked the car and left. There were no queues. We had purchased tickets online. When we entered the park, it was completely empty. Of course, not all attractions were working yet. But there were no queues all day. We had to wait for people to gather at the attraction. There are fast food restaurants. Restaurants open later. There are practically no tourists, mostly locals. With the repetitions and a snack half a day is quite enough. It took us from 11 to 15 :00 .So 6 hours in the park .
The attractions are fun and correspond to the descriptions.Shops are all the same.

We stayed at the Grand Luxor village next door to the park so got entry included with our stay and visited almost every day of our 8 night trip. The park is about a 10 minute drive from the centre of Benidorm and offers really nice surroundings and is very well maintained. Most rides have a 1.2m limit so my seven year old son was able to go on most thing barring the extreme rides. The rides are quite spread out so there's quite a lot of walking involved and some gentle slopes. There are plenty of food outlets but the choice is limited, burgers/pizza/sandwiches and quality is just OK. It's forbidden to take food into the park so if you want to eat you have to use them! We visited in late August and the queues weren't bad for any rides and we found if we did encounter a queue we'd just skip the ride and go back later when it was quieter. The park shut at 9pm when we were there and we were able to ride continually on some rides without getting off (log flume and dogems in particular). I'd say the ride range is perfect for kids with a coupe of extreme rides thrown in for the adults too. There's also a large pool with swim up bar, loungers plus a different "spa" pool more suited to younger children with some small slides. There were some shows on offer but we didn't get the chance to see any of them. A family could easily entertain themselves for a full day and we will definitely return when we are back in the area.
Andrew Booth — Google review
I like it. Plenty of rides. Minimum waiting time. Done 20+ rides in 6 hours. Much much better than elsewhere. Tickets are affordable too.

A great park for a day out with family, but in desperate need of something new and BIG.
Wooden coaster has been permanently closed for nearly 10 years and it still hasn't been torn down. Many of the rides trains are not nice, many rides need maintenance or painting.
However if you look past the shortcomings, there is a decent theme park. I just hope they can improve more and grow.

The price was slightly more expensive than expected. But loads to do. The children had an amazing time. The rides varied and I believe they catered for all age groups.

I would say don't look at the website as it doesn't do it any justice.
They have paid so much attention to the surroundings to. So much to look at. Very interesting.

Great scenary and was super lucky that it almost had no queues and got to see all the park and ride almost all atractions. The scenary and enviroment is amazing and the carroussels brought me so much amusement and adrenaline. Safari Aitana in Alicante offers a unique safari experience where visitors can see animals like elephants, giraffes, and even swimming tigers up close. The park allows self-guided or group tours by car, with the option to book a private tour with a comfortable van and guide. Visitors are allowed to leave their cars at designated stops where staff members provide information about the animals. This safari park is not a typical zoo but rather an expansive space for a sensorial experience with wildlife.
We loved this place. Situated up in the mountains in what feels like the middle of nowhere, this is a chance to go on a driving safari and have the opportunity to get close to some of the animals. If you drive yourself you are allowed to get out of the car where you see a keeper and be close and they will give you talks about them. The wild cat enclosures have an electric fence so no particular chances of them jumping at the car etc for any concerned. Look out for cheeky Charlie the Zebra who decided to stick his head in the car and have a good nose much to the childrens amusement.
Some animals at the entrance area that you can walk around and see. Picnic area and restaurant. A very enjoyable day out in beautiful surroundings.
A note for driving there! We came from the direction of Villajoyosa. The last 35kms is up hill all the way on very windy mountain roads, past a reservoir and a couple of very pretty villages. Some very windy roads but lovely scenery. Make sure you have plenty of fuel!!
The last couple of kms, Google maps looses the plot a bit so when you see the sign for Safari Aitana take that exit, it IS correct even if you feel you are on the road to nowhere!

Not a bad place but definitely animals need some more water and greenery. Hippos are being held in a place with practically no water. They are practically on a desert with very little trees or bushes.
The whole excursion is quite long, more than 2 hours. Good to take drinks and food with you, especially if you are going with kids.

This was an incredibly experience. We took a private tour and we were lucky that it was hosted by Laura. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about the park and the animals. Close contact and feeding of the large animals was unbelievable. The stuff was very friendly and kind. Jose feeds the animals and explains everything in Spanish and English. This is a unique experience that is suitable for all ages to learn and enjoy. We always have a meal in the restaurant after the tour which is good value and very tasty.

The trip to the safari is 1h from Alicante and the way there was very zig zag so we all got super carsick.
The park is very awesome and worth the trip tho! Awesome lions, tigers and many more, the best part was the giraffes for us!
In the park you drive your own car for 7km and 2hours - theres guides too, and sometimes you can can come out of the car to see them closer.
After the park theres a restaurant with burgers, soups etc. AND a small zoo behind the restaurant with other cool animals like owls, birds, bunnies etc, thats included in the ticket too!
We took a different path back to Alicante that was not so zig-zag and way better. 😊

We bought a private tour via internet with a van (comfortable and with climate control) and a guide; for 2 families (7 people) and it's a best solution.
Our guide Carlos was so engaged and nice, talk a lot with our smallers, we really love him! It was our first experience when animals are so close to us, with feeding and petting them.
Elephants and giraffes are super cute, we even saw how tigers swim in a pond. It's not a zoo, just another blow-minded place with a lot of free space and sensorial experience.
Ksena Shurubura — Google review
Great place! Our gide Carlos was the best! Better to take Safary individual tour, because for driver it will be difficult to drive through the animals on thin road. Also, gide gives you information and food for feeding animals. It's not chip, because you pay 170 for 7 person place Wan + 160 euro for 7 person entrance, but it worth... And have place for one time...

I come here every single year with my family and it is my favorite safari. Kids enjoy seeing and discovering new wild animals and most of the time you can touch some of them.

Brilliant and unusual fun. Around 50 windows cut straight into the rock face which were used for centuries as stores or tombs, but more recently have joined together as a kind of 3D labyrinth. You have to haul yourself through holes in the walls, floor and ceiling to explore and find your way out. The steps are narrow metal grates leading to the first window so you need a head for heights, and the journey through the caves is quite narrow and physical so you need a reasonable level of strength and fitness. You have to leave bags and coats at the start; you'll need both hands and practical clothes and shoes. You will get a bit dusty. We saw a couple of small (7-8 years) children - they needed a leg up through the ceiling holes but were fine otherwise.

We are sporty people with big enthusiasm for caves. Although there was warning on the site, that it is not suitable for claustrophobic people, we thought that we can make it. We made till the third room. It was soo tight. We all filled that space with our bodies. We couldn't make it further. The staff was not very welcoming and friendly. When we shared our hesitation at the beginning, the guide said that it is not his problem. No convinient parking next to the caves.

Other than the tower there's not a huge amount to explore but it is all well maintained and the signs (though a little hard to read) give good explanations in English. Our visit was during a storm so we couldn't take advantage of what must usually be a great view from the roof.

What a lovely castle, only reason for 4 Stars rather than 5, is the ground inside the walls is as it was, and very uneven, those of us who aren't mountain goats need to be very careful.

Explanada del Castillo, s/n, 03410 Biar, Alicante, Spain
The MARQ, also known as the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, offers an intriguing exploration of history through exhibits dedicated to Prehistory, Iberian Culture, Roman Culture and the Middle Ages. The museum showcases a wide range of archaeological discoveries dating back to 100,000 years ago with items such as Iberian ceramics, Roman daily life objects and over 300 artefacts from the Middle Ages. Alongside these displays are teachings on various archaeological techniques.
Medium-sized museum located in a very beautiful building that used to be a hospital. The interior design is also spectacular. There's an engaging permanent exhibition showing the history of Alicante and the whole region across ages. Low entry fee and the possibility to see a temporary exhibition on the same ticket is another plus. Be sure to check the room at the end of the corridor with a beautiful chandelier (see the photo attached). The only drawback is that only a small portion of the text is translated into English.

A great chance to see some of the terracotta warriors up close while they are on loan to the museum.
A great experience and an English speaking guide ensure you get the most from the day.
A must see while you can.

Great day out and the museum is very well laid out. We went for the Chinese Terracotta Warrior exhibition. That was also good but we expected more... Maybe a 3d visual showing the warriors as found... Travel wise we went on the tram...

A marvellous day out to visit the Terracotta Army. A well laid out museum in the heart of the city. Easy to get to and find your way around. Most of the exhibits are multi-lingual which makes it really accessible.
We went mainly for the Terracotta Army exhibit but was really surprised to find a huge range of exhibits from the region ranging from ancient to modern history.
Throughly recommended!

Four stars for the displays. Well laid out and well thought out. Definitely worth the time and energy to visit. English wasn’t very common so I decided to make up my own stories. This was fun. 🤩

This museum is amazing! Telling the story of the history of Alicante, the museum exhibits represent a time span of thousands of years. The first settlements in the Alicante area were made by Iberian tribes. Since then the area has been inhabited successively by Greeks, Romans, Muslims, and Christians. The Alicante Archaeological Museum is a modern museum that utilizes a lot of audio-visual effects - which really adds to the experience! Admission was only 3 Euros a person- a bargain to be sure. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. There is a cafe on site, and clean restrooms. It's very easy to navigate the exhibits without a lot of walking that is typically related to visiting a museum. The museum won the European Museum of the Year Award in 2004, and this is a well deserved recognition.

We went to the musem in the morning and there weren't many people yet. Had a wonderful time, whoever designed this experience really knew what they were doing. Loved the colours, the projections and overall atmosphere. Tickets are purchased in a different building than the musem and there is also a restaurant and gift shop.

We went on a Friday evening when the museum had free entry. We waited for 25 minutes to enter. You can explore the whole museum within 30 minutes, there's not much to see there. This time they had exhibition about Chinese history. It was not my cup of tea.

We went specifically for the terracotta warriors exhibit. We were able to book an English speaking tour for one hour. The guide did a decent job. The exhibit had incredibly strict security and you couldn't navigate the exhibition at your own pace without a guide. As someone with a disability, I found this hard. I needed a seat which wasn't available until the end and prolonged standing was difficult. I don't really understand why you had to be with a guide all the time considering there were staff in each room to ensure all was well.
The warriors themselves were amazing, great info on each exhibit piece in multiple languages.

A very good display of the terracotta army and artifacts from the Qin dynasty. All the displays had English translations and tours in English are available. It was quite busy with school trips but just takes a little longer. Well worth it if you are in Alicante.

3 euros to visit. A bargain for such an immaculate museum. Managed to catch the last few weeks of the Gladiator exhibition.
I don't want to ruin the items on display so just added a few photos. Really is worth a visit. We only walked past by chance. Go.

Visited to see the Terracotta Warriors exhibition. Excellent guided tour with very good spoken English. Before our timed tour slot we looked around the other permanent exhibits covering Spain from prehistoric time to the late 20th century. A very interesting day out.

I wasn't expecting to find such a gem in Alicante. The Museum is really great, well made, clean, great staff, and they put a tremendous amount of efforts to make it a super experience.
It is immersive and interactive, every detail is well thought, highly recommend it.

Here for the Terracotta Army Exhibition.
Only €5 for Adults & €3:for pensioners.
Fantastic exhibition and a lot more to see besides that.

Absolutely loved the museum!
There is so much to see. We booked to see the terracotta warriors, and that was fabulous. I wasn't really expecting much because of the price to go in, but I was really impressed. The exhibition exceeded my expectations, wasn't crowded, and had lots of information to read.
The rest of the museum is free and well worth a visit in its own right. We loved it.
Camille Duesbury — Google review
The exhibition of the Terracotta Soldiers was good and cool to see, it had some interesting other pieces and most display written information and descriptions were available in English. The QR codes with audio details, had no option for English translation however.
The main museum displays about the history of Alicante, had one line of English per display, with a paragraph of description in Spanish and all the little tags naming the display items had no translations so just be aware of that if your Spanish is limited - or be ready to use your smart phone for camera/live translations, which sort of worked but made moving around the displays very slow.
We arrived at after 12 noon, and tours in all languages had sold out, and we had to wait until 2pm before our ticket would allow us in. Time slots meant it wasn't crazy busy but the tour groups made areas very busy if you happen to enter a section the same time as them!

Very many interesting objects, a very broad collection. Very impressive!
Unfortunately not very much written information in English, so if you don’t like google translate then this might not be that interesting. Although very much information in Spanish and Catalan.
If you want a guided tour, you should book tickets in advance.

This is a great museum to visit. It's not expensive.
Often they have a special exhibition which is a few euros more.
Special exhibition at present is items from the underground world of X'ian. China.
Well worth a visit.
Access is good for all people, disabled, wheelchair or in good health.
There is a place to eat.
Plenty of seats in and out, so if you're tired you can rest
Great for all the family. It's interesting and covers lots of various types of civilisation.
Lots of items on display, as ctive video.
Good gift shop.
Lockers for up to big rucksacks size, if you are in need of storage while looking around.

I used the lift to access the castle.
Its on the main road and easy to find. We went at lunch time which was quieter as it was hotter. There was no waiting for the lift. We were planning to go in the morning but there were a load of school kids waiting to enter. We did see posts about the lift being accessible in the evening and being free but when we walked by last night the door was closed after closing time of 8pm so dont think it is accessible
I paid €2.70 and had my 4 year old in a pushchair so didn't need to pay separately for her which was awesome. It is all very accessible and the staff very helpful. The toilets were very clean too.
My 4 year old loved the section on evil toys.
It is so worth the visit especially as it is free

We climbed up at 10 am. It was about a 15-20-minute walk, 170 m high up. Even then, it was already hot but still manageable. At 10.30 there was a guided tour in English, it was worth taking the tour. Only 3 of us took part in the tour, which was 1 hour long and free. Then, we walked around and took some photos. It was a nice way to find out more about the history of Alicante.

At this place elevator is located. It costs 2.7 euro to use it both sides up and down. It's quite useful because you can also go on foot but it's exhausting. The place is absolutely amazing! The best views you can find in Alicante. No lines in the Morning but when I was going back in about 12am there were a huge line to get upstairs.

FREE to walk around the castle with stunning views and cute little cafés.

Great place to visit. Nice views amd snack bar . Entrance is free.

To be honest I went up for the view and it didn’t disappoint me. If you’re in Alicante it a must visit. Pro tip, go there late afternoon to avoid the big queues for the lift.
Benjamin Kulcsar — Google review
This is a very interesting place, saturated with the history that goes back almost 2000 years. Besides the place will give you one of the kinds of views on the city and surrounding area. Absolutely breathtaking view. The only downside is that you might stay in line for the elevator on top and back if the place gets too crowded
Alex Serebrov — Google review
It's great that this lift exists. Without that we would be unable to go to the castle as we were with two little kids. The drawback is that there is only one lift and the trip takes a while so there are queues. Beside that it's great.
Nevertheless if you can I would suggest you going by foot as it seemed like a nice trip with nice views and surroundings.
Rafa? Pydyniak — Google review
The castle lift is great, as are the staff. However, there are no leaflets giving the history of the castle, but there are a few plaques here and there. It seems that the views from the castle are the main feature. They are stunning. There are no facilities for those with limited mobility once you leave the lift. I still take all my visitors here tho.
Pauline Byrne Kennedy — Google review
We walked through Alicante and entered via a steep walkway at the rear of castle (main entrance is opposite beach via a lift and tunnel) that had some houses with pretty garden pot arrangements, walk was fairly difficult but views are good, good castle to walk & on our visit food and other stalls with some street entertainment,
toilets and a lovely viewing cafe.

Explored this enchanting castle with a fantastic view – a visual treat! However, disappointed as the website claimed it's free, yet an unexpected fee was charged. Despite the queue, the beauty of the castle made it a worthwhile visit.

Absolutely stunning views all round from the top of the castle, stacks to see round the castle also. wheelchair access may be limited as there are some very steep places to walk.lots of places to get food and drink and there are toilet facilities scattered around..you can walk up the steps or take the lift up..the photo I put on with the blue lights on the ceiling is the tunnel you walk through from main road to the lift..

The best thing the city could have created 😄 an elevator takes you straight up to the fortress and down. During the day huge lines and it's quite hot up there. I would recommend to come around 6 pm - almost no line and enough time to explore everything.

A fantastic castle with a gorgeous view of Alicante. There is an elevator, however we made the choice to walk up and enjoy the scenery as we went. There isn't a ton of educational posts but this feels like a real working castle and not a museum.

Tickets are available in the Villena Tourist Info, so firstly go there to not run twice upon these all stairs. But after all the exposition in the castle is great, and this amazing view from the top of tower - priceless.

Amazing castle. Architectural discovery with some typical construction traits of medieval fortification construction. Museum worth a visit, be aware of its opening hours
Andrei Chetroi — Google review
If you follow the signs to this place rather than your sat nav it takes you to a small car park next to the Tourist Information where you can buy tickets for the castle. The castle is a few minutes walk and the custodian on the gate is very helpful and knowledgeable with very good English.
The castle is superb - a 10th century Arab core that was expanded and updated after the Christian conquest. It has been well restored and there is a very good route that you can follow which covers the curtain walls, inner bailey and keep. There are lots of information boards as you walk through and some great little features like the drawings done by Italian prisoners in the 13th (?) century and marks from the cannonball damage in the eighteenth century siege.
The views from the tower roof are both awe inspiring and nauseating if you look over the edge! The medieval core of the city looks interesting too although it is swamped by less than attractive modern development.
A great castle to visit and very good value (€3 for an adult) for the couple of hours we spent there.

Tabarca is a small islet with famously clear waters protected by its marine reserve designation. Visitors can take a day trip to the island on a glass-bottomed catamaran to explore the vibrant marine life and crystal-clear waters. The island is part of a Maritime Nature Reserve, offering an impressive underwater world filled with colorful fish. Santa Pola, the town from which visitors can embark on this adventure, boasts historical buildings like Castillo Fortaleza and beautiful salt flats teeming with wildlife.
Such a beautiful Island! We went snorkelling, had lunch and explored the island. The food is a bit pricey but it’s understandable. For the beach we recommend water shoes as there are many urchins in the water and also a stoney beach. Worth a visit!

🏝A great island to visit. It's beautiful when it's not crowded and you'll enjoy both parts of the isle.
🥾So don't just walk to the first restaurant, but first have a walk on the left part of the island up to the lighthouse. Nature is beautiful, just like the lighthouse and the central building.
🩳On your way you'll discover beautiful small beaches. For some ridiculous reason people seem to like to gather together on the same main beach, just like sardines in a can. But the island has many other nice and small beaches you absolutely want to see!
🍽Just like at every touristic spot you'll have tourist rip offs and good restaurants. Our experience is those near the port aren't the best. You should walk towards the main square of the village and reserve a table at the 1st restaurant on your left.
☀️Be careful, it can be very hot in the afternoon in Tabarca. So leave early in the morning. Don't forget your suncream! The sun burns from 2 pm.
🚤You can go to Tabarca by boat from Alicante or Santa Pola. The trip is shorter if you take the boat in Santa Pola. Check the several options at the port. Speed boats are faster (15min) than the bigger ones. Just compare rates and their schedule! Many stop at 8:30 pm!

Nice place to visit. On my perspective, not to stay overnight unless you have special activities to engage - the tourist tour can be covered in one day.
No sandy beaches, round stone mainly. However, the water is clean, warm, and transparent.
Bar / Restaurant offer is OK. Prices seemed a bit high. A small but nice art gallery may grab the visitor's attention.

Small but lovely island. Would definitely advise for tourists. It also seems that many locals visit this place for a swim in the ocean. Best times to visit is when they temperatures in the inland are off the roof. The island van easily be 3-5 cooler. The restaurants and cafes are very crowdy. Lots of fishes to be seen in the sea

Such a beautiful island near our house. We rode a big boat from Santa Pola that costs us 10€ back and forth. There's a line of ticket booths in the port. They will give you a brochure to show the boat return times. It was a nice 25-minute ride. It can be super hot so don't forget to bring sun creams, hats and umbrella. We went around the island to see spots with few people because the main beach is packed. We ate at a nice restaurant with menu starting €18. Though we end up paying more than €100 for 4 persons. Costly like other islands. We didn't have a reservation but I suggest to have one as it can be full especially on weekends. There are small bars and restaurants and few stores for clothes and souvenirs. There's also an atm near the La Pecera. Also bring aqua shoes. Some beaches have stones and slippery. We will definitely go back.

The santuari is very beautiful on the outside and looks like it has been inspired by the Sagrada Familia but on a much smaller scale. The inside is a little plain but still worth a visit. The castle, I didn't enjoy. There isn't much left of the ruins and while there is a step you can climb to the top, it's completely in the dark and without railing so it didn't feel safe. What was also a downside to our visit was the horde of school children yelling and screaming and running around, uncaring that someone was trying to take a picture, and the teachers who had brought a huge speaker and put the music ridiculously loud. If they rented the place for a private event, then close the santuari, if not, someone should be there to keep things in order. You can't really enjoy your cup of coffee in the middle of a club.

Amazing cathedral. Staggering beauty. I really love the architecture of this place. While the stone materials are unique, the soft , flowing architectural shapes are strikingly similar to the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Santa Maria Magdalena is a detail-seeker's dream, with the various patterns of stone work. The spires are absolutely beautiful. We were, however, disappointed that opening hours listed on Google were incorrect. Hence, we showed up about 5 minutes too late for an inside tour.

Fabulous tranquil Garden of the Priest's Place. Good multilingual guide on your phone, for this Oasis in the middle of Elche. Wonderful plants and trees, so an absolute treat to visit. Recommended highly.

Lovely gardens to walk around on a hot sunny day plenty of shade to keep you cool. Trees, cactus and wide variety and age to see. Little ponds with fish and terrapins in dotted about the gardens. A lovely and peaceful and tranquil visit. Would definitely recommend.

A little piece of Asia in Elche. Very peaceful and tranquil. We were in a little bungalow. Spotlessly clean. Rituals toiletries. Minutes walk from the main attractions and restaurants. Good breakfast with lots of choices. We will definitely come back again..

One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in my life. I was not thinking that in reality, it will be so amazing - it looks just much better than in pics. The perfect garden. Pretty small but has a lot of stunning sceneries. Must see when you are in the Costa Blanca region.

Playa del Acequion is a well-known sandy beach in Spain that features a variety of large hotels, nearby restaurants, and boats. It is particularly popular during the Christmas season when people can enjoy barbecues on the beach. Although it can get crowded with over 8000 people at times, this beautiful and peaceful beach offers calm waters that are ideal for children to swim in.
Lovely sandy beach and clear shallow waters. A good choice of restaurants from traditional Spanish to Italian and Greek along the shore. In the summer months, there are a couple of ice cream huts where you can also rent sunbeds and parasols for the day. There is a paddle boarding and kayak hire place on the beach. It is a great place for families to enjoy.

It is ok, but there are better beache nearby.

This is a lovely beach ⛱️🏖️ with plenty of choice of restaurants and bars. Swimming is not encouraged as there are no emergency services.
The sea is very shallow and no tides as it's partly enclosed.
Very busy in the summer.

Perfect beach for kids. Super shallow and quiet.

Come to Spain for Christmas they said. We will have a barbecue on the beach they said. Which we did. And it was great, because they omitted to mention another 8000 people would also be there, which made it a great day. Highly recommended, especially on December the 25th.

I'll never travel to Municipality of Cartagena without this trip planner again
The mud baths at this destination are a popular attraction, drawing many visitors seeking health benefits from being covered in mud. People have reported surprisingly smooth skin after the experience, despite initial skepticism. The water's surface may be cold, but the bottom is warm and offers a unique sensation. While there is a slight smell, the results make it worthwhile. Visitors can enjoy beautiful walks and scenery in the area, with plenty of dining options and opportunities to observe wildlife like pink flamingos.
Reserve minimum an hour and bring a bucket. Mud feels great but floating in super salty water is an experience in itself.
Wojciech Poludniewski — Google review
What a lovely area for a walk along the very long breakwater pathway. Too cold for me in January to use the mud baths but great in warmer weather. The views from the breakwater are stunning in all directions.

Excellent fun place to go for something different.
Actually seems to work for the skin too!! Who knew.
Gareth Wailes — Google review
Fun, free experience. There is parking but difficult to find a space when busy. Kids wasn't sure at first because of the smell but then thought it was lots of fun. The water is a lot warmer than expected, remember to bring a container to collect the mud.

A unique way to spend a few hours. Water was lovely, mud was thick, sun baked the mud, rinse off in the salt water and you've just had a free spa day! Afterwards enjoy something tasty in one of the chiringuitos

Pretty to walk around. A bit smelly from the mud but other than that pleasant. The mud has healing properties and is good to cover yourself , let it dry and then soak in the water. It's Free
Nigel Cox — Google review
What a lovely place. The mud was warm as was the water. Lovely little piers to cake yourself in the good stuff! Followed by a small libation in a lovely beach bar and a wander around the shops. People were so friendly, a must go if you can 😊
jules barclay — Google review
Great experience! Took the kids down on a Thursday morning and it was relatively quiet. You will need to buy or take a bucket with you to collect the mud.
We had one of the mud platforms pretty much to ourselves - you go in, collect some mud, come out and then lather yourself in it and then wait for it to bake. Some locals take themselves for a walk whilst this is happening but we just chilled and enjoyed the views. You’re not supposed to go into the water on the other side to wash off, you just stay on the one side and then wash it off in the water there once you’re done. The water is very salty so it’s great to just have a float around after you’ve washed off.
There are toilets and beach cafe’s on the strip so we took ourselves off for a bit of breakfast straight after. Kids really enjoyed it and we felt great afterwards.

What can be funnier than watching people covered in mud walk about the prom...being the people covered in mud walking about the prom. We went prepared with buckets to scoop the mud up in & generally hoped for a laugh & the odd health benefit. The day did not disappoint nor did my mother's face on smelling what would be her only pamper session of the week! After drying to the point of cracking we went for a dip to wash it all away, realising at this point a sponge may have been a good idea, it does not come off as easy as we thought. Take old towels & swimwear as while it washes out it's not the easiest thing to remove & has caused staining. Warning unless you fancy a salt water flush of the irrigation type or going partially blind for a few minutes bring drinking water to wash off the face 😂. Personally I was extremely thirsty afterwards as it draws the toxins out & am glad I took extra drinking water. Bonus...ankles aren't swollen & ready for the next adventure day trip 🙂

Absolutely beautiful place to visit, lovely walks and scenery. More so when we are blessed with good weather. Plenty of eateries and places to just sit and watch the world go by. Got some nice shots of the pink flamingos as a bonus. We didn't do the mud baths which was in the same waters as the wild life. Plenty of steps leading into the water which contain the rich soils and to be fair there were a few actually covering arms, legs and bodies.
Andy Holmes — Google review
Beyond my expectations to how my skin felt afterwards! I’m skeptical to SPA and other things but after this experience I’m convinced that it gives result! My skin got so smooth everywhere I had mud on.
The surface of the water was cold but the buttom was warm! I don’t mean pleasant cold, I mean warm!
It smells a bit but the result was worth it! I don’t understand how others have been there 10 times and didn’t fell nothing. You must have doing it wrong for sure!
Bare in mind that there is no shower, just the sea across. A tip is that all the good mud is under and around the stairs 😉

A great experience. So tranquil at the Mar Manor Mud Baths. Very safe entering the water. Just let yourself float. Skin feels amazing when you wash off the mud. Loved it ☺️

The Faro Cabo de Palos port authority is located on a cliff in the province of Cádiz, just beside the bay of La Manga. The lighthouse features a large pedestal and can be seen 24 miles away. Beautiful scenery and great area to go for a walk are some of the reasons why this port authority is well-loved by visitors. The area around it also has a kiosk, with great staff and toilets, which makes it perfect for an enjoyable visit.
Very nice place. Very nice beaches and places to dive and snorkel is amazing close to the Faro. Videos YouTube: Norwegian Viking in Spain.

Nice lighthouse on the top of the hill. Beneath it small lagune. Unfortunately it's no access to the lighthouse itself, it would be nice to climb on the top. The view from nearby is amazing, Mediterranean sea in it's beauty is enormously beautiful. Also nice view to Mar Menor. Free parking. No charge for entering the area.

Nice views and nice lighthouse with interesting history. If you don't speak Spanish you will miss most of it though. Half way up the lighthouse, the guide said they had some leaflet in English for my partner but it was never materialised. The visit started 10 minutes late due to the previous group running behind, but there was nobody to tell you or any waiting area, just a laminated note outside the closed doors of the lighthouse to say you had to wait there for your guide. There are many stairs and it is quite steep that some people will struggle with so, it would be good for the organisation to advertise it better or include some kind of warning to avoid nasty surprises or disappointment.

Beautiful lighthouse on a cliff just beside a bay. You can catch a nice view on the La Manga strip from this cliff. But if you want a lighthouse tour, be careful of its visiting hours and the tours need to be previously scheduled. If you plan to visit the strip, this is a nice stop.

Calblanque beach is a secluded, tranquil stretch of sand located in a scenic natural setting. The beach is well-known for its small, rocky coves and steep cliffs which make it ideal for swimming. There are also a few small groves of trees nearby to provide shade if needed. Access to the beach is easy via a private road, and there is ample parking available.
Very beautiful wild beach. They have closed the fragile parts of the dunes to stop erosion but that doesn't stop people clambering over them, unfortunately. Lovely dark yellow sand and clear water. Well worth the extra effort to get there.

One of the best if no really the best beach in region
Zeljko Vulovic — Google review
Really beautiful beach, gorgeous sand and water, mountains in the background. Worth the extra effort to get there for the day.
catherine fox — Google review
The beach itself is rather nice and fairly few people their. I wouldn't give the sand beach 5 stars however, but the cliffs to the right of the beach was amazing! By walking 5 minutes or so we found at least 3 great spots where we could lie down on fairly smooth surface as well as being able to jump or walk into the clear blue water. No other people in sight.
Went there two days in a row and will definitely return when I'm in the area in the future!
The only downside is that you need to park your car 10 minutes drive from the beach, pay 3€ per person and take a bus (which leaves every 30 minutes) to get to the beach.
All in all: for couples who'd like some privacy - find great cliffs to the right of the beach. For families (or others) who'd like a beach with fewer people - just pick a spot on the main beach.

Concepción Castle Museum, located on a hill, has served as a fortress for various civilizations and now houses the History and Mediaeval Cartagena Visitor Centre. The city boasts numerous defensive military buildings, such as the Navidad Fortress which is now the Visitor Centre for Defensive Architecture of Cartagena and the Mediterranean. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the Roman theater while walking towards the Interpretation Center.

History of the city in a very beautiful enclave; the best views, even of the Roman theater, on the walk towards the access to the Interpretation Center.

This was one of the more underwhelming sites of our visit to Cartagena. The cost for entrance to the 'castle'-proper was 3.75 euros per person. Of sites in the city of similar cost this was simply not worth it. The views from the surrounding hill top are just as good (and free). Paying for admission provides you with little additional benefit there is a short video, few artefacts, and the ability to walk through one of the cisterns but this is definitely not worth the money.
Brandon Christensen — Google review
You can either walk up here or take the left but either way other than there being high point of you of the city there was nothing to see here in this fortress. I thought paying three fifty euros was a waste . the restrooms are inside after you pay . you can’t use the restrooms until after you pay.

The National Museum of Underwater Archaeology in Barcelona is a well-displayed museum dedicated to archaeological items found underwater, including shipwrecks, treasure and fossils. Some of the interactive exhibits are not working properly, but the overall museum is interesting and free.

This is a large museum, on the port next to the marina aptly enough. We parked in the underground car park on the same street and it was a few minutes walk to the museum.
Entrance was possibly €6 each but I can't quite remember. The museum is modern and well laid out, starting with an explanation of what marine archeology actually is, what it covers and what it tries to achieve. It also showed how the tools and resources have changed as technology moves on but also the dangers as the treasure hunters become equally sophisticated.
The later section is a chronological display of items recovered and an explanation of how maritime trade worked and what the trade routes were. This started with a Phonecian vessel and continued to the nineteenth century.
There is also a good little shop and I think there's a cafe on the upper floor but we didn't go there. We spent over an hour inside and it was a fascinating visit.

Interesting content, displayed well, but a lot of the interactive exhibits aren't working - not sure whether this is due to Covid, or other reasons. Entry was free, though, so I can't complain too much!

This marine archaeology museum in Cartagena is superb. Amazing artefacts from Phœnician , Roman, Byzantine, Moorish and Spanish wrecks, all incredibly well preserved and conserved. A set of Roman slingshot bullets looked like they were freshly cast, as were ingots of lead, tin and bronze. A big set of very large Roman anchor stocks were a great surprise as they were all well preserved lead castings too. A modern, stylish and very well presented museum. Level access throughout.

Took the opportunity to visit during the Museum Night weekend and was super impressed with the exhibits displayed. Though it was quite disappointing to see that not all stations were functioning i.e. interactive buttons does not respond (not sure whether it has been deactivated due to pandemic safety measures). Overall a great exposure to the underwater archeological history and would definitely recommend families to visit as means of educational purposes!

A relatively small museum, and very interesting. I'm not sure small children would get much out of it as most of the first half of the museum involves a lot of reading. There are some great models and artefacts in the second half though, and the ship cross section is a highlight.

I really liked the idea of combining a visit to the museum with a quest. For children to look for superheroes in different locations and win prizes. The children are not bored and it was interesting for us to look at the exhibits.
There are a lot of different eras and even interactive expositions where you can interact with different objects. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Interesting museum with a considerable amount of information in English. I far the best exhibit are the remains of a wooden Punic ship that are 2700 years old. The museum staff is Spanish only. You wonder a bit why they employ three guards if they sit together in one corner all the time.
