Krabi City Seaview
Hotel
The Krabi City Seaview hotel is a modest establishment that features simple yet comfortable accommodations and an informal restaurant with panoramic ocean vistas. During our three-night stay in two of their unpretentious rooms, we found the 2-star property to be ideal for our needs. The balcony room we stayed in offered breathtaking views that have left a lasting impression on us. Its location, which is only a ten-minute walk from Krabi city center, was also convenient.
We had 2 rooms and stayed 3 nights. As a 2 star hotel it is perfect. Especially balcony room. It has a awesome view never can forget. Good location about 10 minutes walking to Krabi city centre. Cleanliness is ok but bathroom in see view room (without balcony) need urgent renew. Stuffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast serves semi buffet but good quality and sufficient. I will come back here for sure.

Only 10min walk to night markets. The hotel is next to the park with nice view of the river/sea gate. Room is clean, old style furnitures.
Something to consider:
- no elevator (but low stairway)
- in room: no slippers, no complimentary water
- in bathroom: quite small, slippery if wet floor
Lien Tran — Google review
No windows open very poor ventilation just a rented room
Dan Ward — Google review
Room smelled, there is no sea view from the rooms, to be fair there is no view at all from the rooms. Cockroaches in the bathrooms and ceilings falling apart. There's no staff at night at the reception so when I locked myself from the room at night there was nobody to open the door, and no phone number to call. At least it was very cheap.
Leal lil — Google review
We choose this place because is near the pier (about 800m). If you don't want to be underground without the window, don't choose the cheapest room. It was really dark and small. But maybe for one night with low budget can be ok. Up the roof is small place where the breakfast is served and from here is very nice view.
Ladislav Kocián — Google review
Please don't go there. First of all it's way too expensive for what you get. The only good thing about this place is the short distance to the nightmarket an the nice receptionist. The first room we had had such a dirty shower and toilet. And the room was smelling like mold. So we got another room with at last a somewhat cleaner bathroom but still you didn't want to touch the shower. It was still smelling like mold and we foud some mold on the bedsheed. We endet up sleeping with a plastic sheet over the bed because we spend way too much on this hotel.
Mara L — Google review
A truly budget hotel but with great river views. Quiet position, located in Krabi Town on the riverside. 5 minute walk to shops, restaurants, street food and coffee shops. Hotel really needs some TLC but OK for the money. Rooms spacious and clean but basic. Bathroom also large but in need of some decoration! No safe in room. Top floor rooms (5th floor) have best views. You will need to book a 'deluxe' room as this appears to be their 'best'. Breakfast very basic with no Thai option. Served on the 5th floor open balcony which is nice. Very friendly staff. River Pier just 5 minute walk for access to Long-tail boats and ferries to all of the islands.
Neil Thompson — Google review
Stayed during low season - great river location with nice rooftop and garden terraces. Room was a bit small but clean and the host is so helpful and accommodating. Near night food market. Love the river walk-perfect for a run!

One of Thailand holy temple, most famous at Nakhon pratom province. The temple is quite large. You can walk around for an hour or two, depends on how detailed you are. As a buddhist this place remind me of Buddha's dhamma (His teaching) and As a person, I appreciate the southeast asian art in the temple. Oh and the climate is quite hot, bring a hat or an umbrella maybe? Many love and respect for Phra pathom chedi.
Vishnu Sakorn — Google review
A great historical zone. Also not that crowded but quite hot. There are some photo ops spot with fewer people. I recommend to bring sunblock with you when exploring the place, as it can get quite hot especially in the afternoon. You can also bring umbrella and shades to be sure.

A yearly festival will start soon but the market are already started.
The area of the festive are so big thus a lot of shops here. Not only food but are also the essential things, cloting and car wax.
Welcome all guest.

This temple is located very close to Nakhon Pathom Railway station. It is considered as one of the most sacred Buddhist temples of Thailand . It is located in the Nakhon Pathom province. Tourist can go there by bus, van or by train from Bangkok railway station. It is a very large temple situated on a huge land area. The pagoda has cannonical hape with a dome. It may take 2 hours to walk around. It has stairs to climb up and there is a golden Buddha statue for worship.
Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed — Google review
Good temple and It wasn't too crowded in the temple.
There is parking lot as well.
No need to buy any ticket to enter the temple.

พระปฐมเจดีย์ is a stupa in Thailand. Phra Pathommachedi is the tallest stupa in Thailand. The top of its spire reaches 120.45 meters, with the base circumference of 235.50 meters.
The name Phra Pathommachedi means the first holy stupa, given by king Mongkut. Originally the stupa named Phra Thom Chedi means the big stupa in ancient Khmer language or the royal stupa in Northern Thai language. One of the common misunderstandings about this stupa is that Phra Pathommachedi is the oldest and the first stupa in Suvarnabhumi, an ancient name of Southeast Asia. (Info taken from Wikipedia)

Great spot and i was surprised to learn at night it becomes a HUGE bustling night market with so much delicious juicy foods! 🤤 and the foods are all at a great price also so it’s not like the city prices you find outside 💰

Breathtakingly beautiful Wat. The ambiance was so peaceful and I’d recommend this to anyone visiting Thailand. It’s free to walk around and there wasn’t many people. You can buy small carvings to help support the monks as well.

It is one of the major stopping points for many trains. It is pretty crowded when you are here for sure LOL. You can find many foods here.

If you in Bangkok, don't skip to visit this place. It's truly beautiful and must visit. Especially in the evening. You can come here from Bangkok by numerous minivans. They depart outside the BTS stations of Bang Wa, Bang Ke Mall

First time to this extremely old Buddhist temple. The area is rather big. I love the mural on the wall but photography is forbidden in the mail hall.
It's well kept given its age.
HM Wong — Google review
It's a great and historic temple. It's a must visit for locals and tourists because it is very impressive and so unique from inside and outside.
Sobhy Fouad — Google review
This is said to be the tallest Buddhist monument in the world and the tallest chedi in Thailand. We visited on a Friday and it was not as crowded as when we visited Shwedagon chedi in Yangon. But Phra Pathom Chedi is immaculately preserved and beautiful indeed. Walking around the compound, we felt a sense of peace and tranquility. The grounds are also very clean, including the public washrooms. We will be back to visit the adjacent museum and also the night market. Not to be missed!
Anton CJ — Google review
Another beautiful temple. Only managed to visit for a short while because of time constraint and had to head back to Bangkok. Would love to visit this place again.
Raymond Chia — Google review
An exceptional pagoda crafted with traditional materials, it stands as one of Thailand's largest.
TEERUT PROMMART — Google review
Very beautiful historical temple which was worth visiting and there were many zones to learn and take photo, the toilets and parking areas are located in many places around and inside the temple. But the way to go up for disability people is none and hard to join.
Niyom Kaseng — Google review
Really cool place to visit. This is supposedly the tallest temple/pagoda in Thailand.
There is not a ton of things to do here but its very much so worth it to go and walk around and check it out.
The view at sunset is beautiful!
There is a night market nearby with tons of food options as well so it's great to head there after checking out the temple.
Taling Chan Floating Market is a traditional market where vendors sell a variety of food and drinks from boats along the river. Unlike larger markets, Taling Chan offers an authentic Thai food experience without overwhelming crowds. Visitors can enjoy freshly cooked crabs and barbecued prawns while relaxing by the water and soaking up village life. Children can also feed river fish from the jetty. Located seven miles outside Bangkok, this market features wooden boats cooking fresh seafood on miniature barbecues along the riverbank.
Something to do on a weekend. Only open on weekends and holidays. Eat, shop a little, take a short boat ride around the local neighborhood w/a stop at a temple, and feed the fish. Take some pictures. Not too expensive, same or a little higher price as a local/tourist attraction floating market. 50 baht for Pad Thai, 25 baht Thai iced tea, 35 baht mango sticky rice, and plenty of main course, desserts, snacks, and fresh fruits to try.
M M — Google review
“Floating” market popular to tourist in Bangkok. The market itself is quite small & food selection is more limited than at other floating markets around the city. Not my favorite.
Peter van Zanten — Google review
Talingchan Floating Market is a suburban floating market that has various goods to choose to buy. Reflecting the simple way of life of the local people. There are stalls on both sides of the road that sell snacks, clothes, home decorations to ornamental flowers, and vegetables and fruit from the local farms and orchards. Inside, there’s a raft on the water flanked by boats selling various sweet and savoury dishes. There’s also a boat service to take tourists to see the way of canal life in Thon Buri.
HAU PHUC NGUYEN — Google review
Nothing great
It's actually a restaurant on the canal
Wouldn't go there to eat
Damneon Saduak or other floating markets are better choices to make
The boat guy wanted ฿1,000 for a 30 min ride
Not a place I will visit again - give this one a pass
Harish Kumar — Google review
No floating market as it was a Friday but we enjoyed the boat ride through the canals and a visit to a wat which was fantastic. Seeing dilapidated homes next to fancy new buildings was strange but good to see still people making a living from the canal life homes. The canals were quiet and very few tourists on boats also still had sellers going down the canals on there small boats selling food and wears to the locals in the homes. All in all a good trip and the cost was 1400 baht which included a 15min stop at the big gold buds.
Malcolm Woodhouse — Google review
A wonderful market on the side of the canal. If you're making a circuit of the river and canals this is a good stopping point for shopping, refreshments, and lunch at one of many laid back and fairly authentic restaurants. Don't forget to buy some food for the fish, who will swarm to the surface for a brief and frenzied show.
David Elkin — Google review
Wow
It was magnificant.
The number of shops was so authentic the food items and everything was so innovative and true representation of Thai culture.
Very fresh fruits and boating service to show entire costal city. It's a must visit for tourists.
Rahul Kumar Ray — Google review
Great place :) you can buy great food on the market.
After eating we took a boat trip around, they will drive your to the budhist temple and back, it takes approx 1 hour.
Petra K — Google review
This market was very busy, even we went there towards the end of the final hours. The foods were priced low and we had a field day trying out different foods as time allowed. We only had 30mins to shop. We ended up purchasing a pork dish that contained pork neck meat and various parts of the animal. We also bought some coconut ice cream, rice crackers, papaya salad, fried banana, steamed pork meat balls, sticky rice, dried shrimp with cashews and a couple of fruit smoothies. Even with the short period of time, we were able to quickly buy enough food to taste. We would surely make more time for our future visit.
Kao Saephan — Google review
A nice floating market in Bangkok...you can combine it with a boat trip in the river... wouldn't suggest to go there only for that...on our way we had a chance to see the real side of Bangkok!
Would recommend it

Suan Sampran
Event venue
Shopping
Suan Sampran is a rustic hotel situated by the river, run by a family and offering various eco-cultural activities. Guests can enjoy the pool, spa and restaurant facilities. However, some aspects require improvement such as the inconsistent level of service from staff members and limited buffet breakfast options due to low occupancy rates. Despite these drawbacks, Suan Sampran offers an authentic Thai experience with historic houses that have been refurbished with modern amenities.
Incredible experience of staying in historic Thai houses, but with all modern amenities! Highly recommended.

Very nice place. Unfortunately the day we went there was no market and craft classes. Make sure you go on the weekend, there are much more to do and explore!!
Duangshewan Sae-Wong — Google review
It’s not a dislike, just that there isn’t anything to do here apart from think in your own brain. I wouldn’t pay the coffee shop prices, it’s more expensive than central London, which makes me wonder if the place is legit 😵💫😬🤐. I wish them success.
For children it could be a nice excursion if they want to learn about Thai heritage, culture and crafts, what they learn I think they could just ask a mother or grandma and try together for a more enjoyable experience.

Good for natural retreat at weekend when spent 1 or 2 night at Thai house .Then enjoy traditional flea market in the morning. Talad sukjai was locally farmer and garden farm that sold only organic at the sound price. Everything is growing fresh suitable for healthy cuisine. The resort also
has variety of activities that you can join with special discount when check-in. Also never miss BBQ dinner set at lake side (not for rainy day).
Recommend place for who love nature and down to earth peaceful.
Minerva J — Google review
It has been 12 years since my last visit here. I can see the place has progressively change positively. Everywhere is organic here and the dessert especially kanom tuay is super good. Must try item at 12 THB per piece. If you are not worried about the weight, take 6 pieces and you will be very happy! The place is about 30 km from Bangkok and there are many attractions from this place.
Prawaltong Tongyai — Google review
Beautiful location and grounds. Magnificent lobby and common rooms. This is not a 90s glitz and glamour place, it's a solid, traditional hotel with history and class in the style of The Peninsula or The Oriental. The bedrooms are large and airy and furnished in hardwood and have all the usual amenities. 2 beautiful restaurants serve delicious food that is mainly organically produced on their own farms across the river. To sit and watch the huge islands of water hyacinth float by at dawn or dusk is inspiring. Or explore the grounds around the lake and Chinese pavilion so well tended and beautiful. But the most special thing about this stunning hotel is the staff: efficient, yet warm and friendly, but courteous and polite. They add the real family feel to this gorgeous and well-run hotel.
Andrew Bagnelle — Google review
Great place, highly recommend for any one!!! This is a really good place to spend a day or two. If you are family with pre-school there are large numbers of activities for your kids to try such as farming, garland making, etc. For adults, this is a peaceful place with a great view of the river from up top and below. The better than great for this place is everything is organic. They are trying to make it sustainable to run the hotel with fully environmental friendly and fully organic. Food is great and fresh since most of vegetable here are grow just around the corner. Also a farmer market in front of the hotel every weekend, which open from 9am - 3pm. On top of all that, the service is excellent!!!! It is beyond 5-stars for their service. They are so considerate in every way. I'm highly recommend this place for anyone who are looking for a short drive, 1.30 hrs, from center of Bangkok true Thai hospitality with an organic living, this is a place for you.
Narumon Jiaranuraj — Google review
If you're looking for a great place to stay with ecological interest, this is the place to go. Sure it's a bit far from Bangkok but its worth it. Good room, great food, friendly staff members, and such a nice place. They have many activities you can try. Currently looking forward to the farmers market in the weekend. The sustainable business model they implement here is great. Organic food and sustainable farming practices that involves local farmers is a plus. Very satisfied

Good old-style hotel. There is no 24 hrs front desk. Some staff are very good but others are lacking in passion. Water flow poorly in my bathroom shower. Breakfast is good but very limited. I think it should be set menu if they can't provide buffet as it should be. Some counter are empty because, as staff said, there are too little guest rooms.....
I give 4 stars because hotel has a lot of facilities and activities to do and room price is not expensive.
Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a grand Buddhist temple situated on the west side of the Chaophraya River in Thonburi, Bangkok. Its iconic central spire is adorned with intricate tiles and stands out with its colorful and detailed design. The temple's history dates back to King Taksin's restoration in 1768, giving it a significant place in Thai heritage.
This temple is the highlight of Bangkok and maybe Thailand, and rightly so. The site is compact, so during busy tourist hours, it gets very crowded. Better visit early in the morning or just right before sunset as the air is more chill. There aren’t any roof so if it gets rained, then… oh well.
I wish there are more stories about the temple other than just a paragraph or two posted outside the temple.
Daniel — Google review
Cool place. I am very glad that Thailand has such a respectful attitude towards its rich culture. The entire territory of the temple looks very beautiful and well-kept. The skill and imagination of the sculptors amazes me. The entrance ticket costs 100 baht, and also at the entrance, all visitors are given a bottle of water along with the ticket. You can also get to the other side of the river by boat for just 5 baht. I recommend to try to see the beauty of the temple when you cross the river by boat.
Bohdan Domansky — Google review
Great place to visit, not expensive (100 thb cash) and complimentary water is included with your ticket. We had to take the boat to and from the temple which was easy enough. Make sure to walk fully around as there is more to it than the main temple. You can hire traditional this outfits to be photographed in which seemed popular

Wat Arun is absolutely a place you should visit when in Bangkok. I arrived before sunset, around 5 pm, as they close at 6 pm. It’s on Friday. Be ready for crowds if you come around this time. The weather is already not too hot, and the sky displays its prettiest blue and yellow colors. Outside the entrance gate, you'll find many shops that rent traditional clothes for taking pictures, all of them beautiful. The temple has many intricate details. As the sun sets, the sky transitions from orange to pinkish-purple. It’s also recommended to observe this temple during sunset time as it looks majestic.
Pauline P — Google review
Wat Arun is a jewel of the architecture so characteristic of Thailand. The temple, according to the luminosity, to appear white and all in embroidery with the many details which decorate it. It's rather extended and it's necessary to think of going on the right of the temple when one is in front of it, there are splendid Buddhas to be discovered and other temples in the complex.
I strongly advise to go there early in the morning because it's quickly taken by many instagrammers who spend hours to be taken in pictures at the same place, making then the taking of picture of the temple complicated ...
Cl?mence Valette — Google review
One of the most iconic temple in Bangkok. It is a very beautiful and spectacular temple. It is best taken pictures during sun rise or sun set. It is very well maintained cleanliness. This temple can get very touristy as it is very photogenic temple. So ensure to get there early to avoid the crowds. At the entry of the main temple there are many tourist dresses in traditional Thai dress, so at time it get difficult to take pictures on the lawn of the temple.
Katethip Varanyuwatana — Google review
Love the temple and the overall experience. The temple are actively used so there will be some sections that is forbidden to enter. There's a market here selling Thailand souvenirs like shirts, fridge magnets and key chains. The temple is so magnificent and beautiful, as the restoration was recently completed in 2017. There is also a costume rental for tourists that wants to get photographed in traditional Thai attires.
Tamado Sitohang — Google review
Incredible architecture. The temples were well maintained and so rich in history. I think they did a great job with ensuring that the temple remains a place of worship for locals yet a place for tourists to experience and learn about their religion, culture and history. Guides are available (might be at a cost). Tickets were 100 baht each.
Tips for visitors,
1. Bring a hat or umbrella - it's really sunny
2. Follow temple rules on proper attire - If you need a long skirt or shawl for covering up, you can borrow one from the temple.
3. Wear easy to slip on and off shoes - you'll be required to take off your footwear to enter the temples
4. At the exit, you can take a boat across the river to visit another famous temple.

Beautiful Buddhist temple. Very easy to get to from across the river by ferry. The ferry leaves every 5 minutes and costs only 5 baht. Extremely popular but still easy to visit with no waiting. The ticket price of 100 baht includes a small bottle of water. Clean restrooms are available on the premises.

This place (can be) crowded. However, this is actually a cool temple. Yes it costs a little to get it, but it's really worth the view. You can pay a little extra and dress up in a period costume for some pictures, however given how crowded it is, be prepared to share your photo with about 5000 of your newest best friends. The steps are very step, be careful! You want to also be aware that, given the amount of people here, you need to watch your wallet. Also some people are more concerned with getting a good photo than they are with their own personal safety, as a result on these steep steps; accidents can happen. There's a gift shop inside, but most of the food and drinks are more expensive than outside.

Wat Arun Temple in Bangkok is undeniably stunning with its intricate architecture and rich cultural significance. However, the overwhelming crowds can diminish the overall experience, making it challenging to fully appreciate the serene beauty of this historical site. Consider visiting during off-peak hours for a more tranquil visit.

Although I waited for while to visit Wat Arun, I'm happy that I was able to make time to share my experience with a childhood friend. There is so much to take in here. The ground are quite expansive and the buildings too numerous to list. It is best to look at my photos since a picture is worth a thousand words. We arrived early in the day to avoid the heat since there is not a lot of shade to protect you from the searing sun. There are drinks and ice blocks available to cool give you a respite while waiting for your return boat to your point of departure.

As a photographer, I get really excited when I enter a place that is full of beautiful structures and different colors. Especially when I realize that it is one of the most important places in the city and has a part of the history of that city. Do not forget this wonderful place when traveling to the beautiful city of Bangkok. fantastic.

This is one of the must-see temples in Bangkok. It’s very well kept and there are events held in the evening on the temple grounds. There are a few shops selling traditional Thai dresses for women and there are several boat docks that can take passengers to the other side of the river for a cheap price. The temple itself is beautiful and you can ascend the main central spire to get a good look at the Buddha relics within and the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend checking this place out on your trip to Bangkok.

Absolutely beautiful temple. There is detail on every part all the way up which was a sight to behold. We really enjoyed walking round and taking it all in. Well worth a visit! I arrived wearing shorts as we didn't first plan on visiting but they provided fabrics for free for while you were on the grounds. Food and drink available on site.

Amazing and iconic architecture. Definitely visit this and marvel at its beauty once you're in Bangkok.
Note:
100 Baht fee for foreigners.
Please wear modest clothing (t-shirts at least, fully covered legs).
Do NOT show any tattoos, especially if it's of the Buddha himself.

Nice temple, very photogenic. Looks better at night. Some simple cafe and drinks available. No need long pants to enter. There are steep stairs from time to time, however not mandatory to climb.

This is one of the best landmarks in Bangkok. Wat Arun also known as Temple of the Dawn. You need to cross the river to visit this place where you need to spend 10 baht to and fro. This is the place having relics of the budhha. The architecture is stunningly beautiful. One should visit and have lots of photos. This place ticket price is 100 baht for foreigners.

Gorgeous temple and grounds. Give yourself an hour to be able to meander and explore every angle properly. Fairly busy but still incredible to see and find your picture spot. We did this on the way to grand palace since the stop there from the river is closed. You have to come to Wat Arun and transfer to a short river cross to get to the palace.
Chris Caruso — Google review
A beautiful and unusual temple, mainly outdoors. A real must see and the traditionally dressed Thai visitors bring some amazing additional colour to the temple. You cannot go to the top but it has so much detail to admire its still a definite place to visit.

Must visit Wat Arun when you are in Bangkok! Entry free cost $200 baht and they close at 6pm. Seeing the temple in person upclose is truly extraordinary and also awe inspiring from afar during sunset when the temple lights up.
Really busy and there are a lot of costume rental stores nearby that you can dress up for $150 baht and hiring a photographer is additional!

Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a temple that you should not miss. However, I am giving it only a three-star.
Pros:
Wat Arun boasts a striking and iconic structure, best appreciated from the boat as you cross the river. The temple's exterior is adorned with vibrant porcelain tiles and seashells, forming a captivating mosaic that glimmers in the sunlight. The central prang (tower), surrounded by four smaller prangs, stands tall and invites visitors to climb its steep stairs for panoramic views of the river and city.
After you purchased a ticket, they stamp your wrist and give you a complimentary bottle of water, a thoughtful touch that sets Wat Arun apart from other famous sites in Bangkok..
You can also borrow traditional Thai clothes and even hire a professional photographer to help you get the best pics once in Wat Arun.
Cons:
This site is pretty small and it becomes way too crowded once most of the visitors have photographers taking photos for them. It is difficult to enjoy the place if you are constantly reminded by others “not to block the photographer”.
One improvement could be providing more detailed explanations about the temple beyond its physical structure. This would enhance visitors' understanding of the historical and cultural significance of the site.
For those who are not going to hire a photographer, 30-35 minutes may suffice to explore Wat Arun. Despite the drawbacks, the temple's stunning architecture, the unique mosaic, and the opportunity for panoramic views make it a worthwhile visit. Consider visiting during less crowded times to fully appreciate its beauty and historical value.

The famous tourist attraction Sunrise temple.
Free entry.
I suggest more safety precautions such as wearing a safety belt or helmet etc. are required for those who wants to go up to pagoda/prang(very high and very steep stairs) .

One of the lost beautiful places we've been so far, the attention to detail and these buildings is something else. Extremely hot day but well worth it as you nip in and out of different temples and see the amazing sights from thousands of years ago! It almost takes your breath away see how high the buildings are and how steep the steps are, one of our favourite places of the day

A very famous temple in Bangkok so when you visit you will see a lot of tourists. The pagoda has many tall towers with very steep steps. The highest ancient towers of the pagoda are only accessible on the lower floors, the entrance to the upper floors is locked. Here, many female tourists rent ancient Thai costumes to wear for photos for 300Bath. Entrance fee to visit the temple is 200Bath. Boat ticket from BTS station is 30Bath/way. The worshiping areas are located behind the main pagoda. The architecture of the worship area is beautifully plated with gold. However, the boat waiting area is a bit small and cramped. In Thailand monks are highly respected. On public transportation, monks are always given the highest priority.

(Translated by Google) Absolute tourist rip off! Yes, don't fall for it!
We were carted there in the famous TukTuk for 30 baht.
That was the best part of the tour.
A nice salesperson welcomed us and informed us about 3 tours.
We booked the 2 hour tour with 3 stops.
A trip in a longtail boat with a maximum of 7 people was promised.
Okay, got in, the four of us and four more passengers. Set back briefly, then put it back on and invited 3 more people.
Now it started! 5 minutes drive to the other side of the river and then 15 minutes in the blazing sun waiting for the old-fashioned lock.
Finally on the other side we chugged through the Klongs for about 10 minutes before docking at the “Flooting Market”. It consisted of a few stalls and restaurants that were just built normally. It has nothing to do with the floating market!
Then the wild ride continued. We drove 20 meters back and forth on the pier for ages. Then a second longtail boat came and we picked up all the passengers!
We were completely full and sat three in a row.
Then at the Big Budda there was a 20 minute stop, which was just enough to walk there, take a photo and walk back.
Into the overcrowded boat, back to the lock.
The third stop seemed to have been forgotten.
Then there was a stop where two French ladies who started with us were thrown out of the boat. They had actually also booked the 2 hour tour with a return trip.
Then we went back to the other side of the river. At the next opportunity, the four of us were thrown out, about 3 km from our starting point.
Despite discussion, our driver was not willing to take us back to the start of the tour.
Absolute rip-off, don't do it!
One star is still too good!

The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a popular tourist attraction in Ratchaburi province, Thailand. It features souvenir vendors and food sellers from all over Asia. The market is located on a large canal and is easily accessible by car or boat.
A fascinating place and a memorable experience. A tour bus driver took us to a riverside point where we tried local fruits before embarking on the boat journey through the waterways and floating stalls into the big bustling floating market. A special place and an absolute must-see for anyone visiting Bangkok.
Amir Aridi — Google review
The floating market of Damnoen Saduak is very disappointing and is not worth a stop in my opinion. There are very few vendors on the water but mostly vendors on land that we can approach by boat. Only souvenirs are sold but almost no fruits or vegetables, it's a pity.
Moreover, the cost of the boat is 2000 baths, which is excessively expensive to visit a market devoid of vendors and absolutely not alive.
An "avenue" on the water however that I found particularly beautiful, decorated with a multitude of lanterns. And beautiful landscapes of jungle to appreciate during the walk.
Cl?mence Valette — Google review
Actual “floating market”. Most of the vendors are along the rivers or on a boat.
To fully enjoy this market, you pay for the boat to take you around the river. They can stop as needed if you want to buy something. Good breeze on the water.
Bring cash of course. Price are reasonable and the food + drinks are pretty good. There are alcohol and cannabis drinks of various sort.
There are traffic jam on the water just in case you are wondering.
There are car and motorbike parking. Some free some paid. Weekend all paid parking.
Note: the boat service is for an hour or so. If you stop at too many places then you won’t be able to visit the whole river. You can always take it twice. Price is reasonable anyway.

So... we went to this floating market as part of a packaged group tour. Websites talk a lot about the floating market, so I was like why not. I don't like labeling places as tourist traps because people like experiencing different things, but I'd say this place feels very touristy and commercial to say the least.
You get to travel on a boat, and other small boats will come to you with food and merch. The smoke from other boats is not very pleasant, and that dirty water may splash and get on your clothes the current from other moving boats is strong. But it's not too terrible, so just be mindful of this.
I say commercial, because all the goods here are sold 2-10 times the prices in other markets. Souvenirs? Even the tour guide told us not to buy. Fruits and coconut ice cream are not too pricey, but I'd still negotiate the price.
Overall, the place didn't feel organic - it's not a market where locals would come to buy goods. It's designed exclusively for tourists, so I'd recommend the place if you're okay with my caveats above.
Will Heo — Google review
TL:DR Take the paddling boat experience if you wish, don't buy anything on the boat.
It's a good experience, the original Thai floating market. You can experience life living next to a canal and traveling mainly through boats. Most of the shopping is done through the canal, thus the floating market. However, it seems that it's more for tourists (local tourists too), so expect prices to be higher than elsewhere.
Pricey boat hire. The stuff on the floating market is expensive as well (you can get the same stuff elsewhere for way less price). You need to learn to bargain and do it really well to not get scammed. It does feel like a tourist trap and I think it's good to just experience the boat, and just don't buy anything. Just find whatever souvenirs (and food!) interest you, and buy it at other places. You can even get them cheaper at Bangkok, or at the side of the canal unreachable by boats (still more expensive than elsewhere).

Visiting Damnoen Saduak Floating Market was an incredible immersion into Thailand's vibrant culture and tradition. The market's colorful boats laden with fresh produce and local crafts created a picturesque spectacle. While the crowds can get overwhelming, interacting with the friendly vendors and sampling authentic Thai delicacies made the experience truly memorable. The long-tail boat ride along the serene canals provided a peaceful retreat from the lively market atmosphere. However, the growing tourist influence has somewhat affected the market's original charm. Nevertheless, it remains a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic glimpse into Thailand's rich cultural heritage.

More than 150 years old market still retaining the original teak wood structure. However it was overcrowded with tourists, our boats clashing each other in the channels, loud motor boats which were letting out unpleasant smoke and souvenirs sold at exorbitant prices. Was quoted 850 baht for a wooden dragon fly hanging which we bargained and bought at 200 baht. Our guide told us not to buy anything without bargaining the price down by 80%. It would’ve been a better experience for tourists if the items were sold at a reasonable cost like in the other markets and vendors would get more sales.
We had yummy coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice which our guide got us from a lovely lady selling from her boat.
We stopped at a shop selling puppets and masks but decided not to buy anything after a closer inspection because we didn’t think it was worth the price quoted. A really nasty vendor selling paintings opposite this shop started yelling at us and called us cheap for not buying those overpriced items after looking at them. With such attitude I wonder if anyone would want to go back again. Couldn’t wait to get out of there after that. That person was enough to spoil the whole experience for us.
I had read reviews from tourists not recommending this market and should’ve followed their advice. There are other genuine floating markets visited by locals which are way better. Don’t recommend this one at all!

Pretty good floating market in Bangkok. It’s a smaller one, but still pretty good. You can buy a boat ride for 100 baht, which will take to you to a cute cafe, where you can spend around 20 minutes and then go back to the market.

A must do tour when you are visiting Bangkok. We travelled by AC minibus to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, which encompassed a visit to the railway market & a coconut plantation. The floating market was truly spectacular, seeing the vendors selling their wares along the river, plus lots of separate stalls selling souvenirs & food, all enjoyed from the comfort of your own long tail boat. You could purchase things along the waterway - which was fantastic. The railway market was an eye opener! The vendors know precisely when a train arrives/departs & quickly retract their stalls just in time. Tourists are a plenty to witness this precision timing. The goods for sale are plentiful & range from souvenirs, fruit, meat, fish, beverages etc. We also visited a coconut plantation, where it was interesting to see how a coconut is fully used, with no wastage.

Great place for tourists to visit about 1.5 hrs outside of Bangkok! You can find a variety of food and souvenirs along the river, and most vendors are willing to bargain prices down.
Just be warned, many taxi drivers will try to scam you by dropping you off at tour companies about 5 minutes away from the actual market. They give prices starting at 2000 Baht per person for a 2 hour boat ride through the market. Please don't fall for it. If you demand to be taken to the actual start of the market you can find prices around 100-300 Baht per person for an hour boat ride through the market.
Absolutely worth the visit, just be careful who you are trusting to take you.

I visited Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and had an amazing experience exploring the vibrant market culture on the water.
The colorful boats and variety of goods were truly captivating.
However, one drawback was the presence of smog from the boats, which slightly affected the overall enjoyment of the visit. Despite that, it's definitely a unique and must-see destination.

Great experience, especially knowing about the life of the people who run the market on the long-tail boats, and the fact that they even live there. They sell a variety of fruits, tender coconut delicacies, some sea-food and a bunch of souvenirs. The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a bustling and lively destination that offers a unique and authentic Thai experience. The market is a great place to visit for a few hours, but be cautious of tourist operators who may try to take you to other boating joints and extend your trip.
If you're short on time, it's best to drive directly to the market and explore on foot. This way, you can fully immerse yourself in the market's lively atmosphere and get a feel for the local culture. However, be prepared to haggle, as the prices for goods other than food can be quite high.
One of the highlights of the market is the food. The floating market offers a wide variety of delicious and authentic Thai cuisine, from fresh fruits and vegetables to mouthwatering street food. It's a great opportunity to sample some of the local delicacies and immerse yourself in the culinary culture of Thailand.
Overall, the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Thailand. The market's colorful and lively atmosphere, combined with its delicious food, make it a truly unforgettable experience.

This floating market is very touristy. You may get dripped off via minivan or taxi about a few hundred meters from the actual floating market. They generally drop you off further away with the hopes that you’ll pay for the expensive motor boat tour/ride to the market (the experience is about 1hr long).
Instead it’s better to walk a few hundred meters to the market and save yourself the money. At the floating market itself you can pay be for a much cheaper human powered boat around the market (we paid 200baht for two people).
While on the top the guide will move the boat along the market to the various vendors. Some guides will stop at many vendors and some will skip some. We tried to tell our guide we’re not interested but she didn’t listen and continued to move from vendor to vendor.
Overall this floating market wasn’t that great. Mainly just vendors trying to sell you things you can find in most tourist shops in Thailand. It’s best to go to the Amphawa floating market that’s nearby via taxi and not waste your time and money with this one.
Ryan Zhou — Google review
An interesting place to visit for the very first time. Overall experience was pleasant and enjoyed the boat ride but might not be a good place to shop for souvenirs because of the steep pricing.
The tour we paid for felt rushed and did not get to check out most of the stalls. The person in charge of the boat will only stop at certain stalls as requested.
As one of the most popular floating markets in Thailand and over a 100 years of history, it was slightly disappointing to see that the place is not well maintained.

I came here last year in September 2022 and the river was crowded and lively. I visited again last July 2023 and it was different, quiet and calm. As usual, because this is a popular tourist place, everything is expensive. You will need to bargain fairly as they’re only making a living too. This is a unique and great experience so do not skip this spot.

Out of all the floating markets in Bangkok i had selected this as it had better reviews than the others. The only thing is it's located far away from the city and the drive to this place too more than 1½hrs but it was good. After reaching they asked us if we wanted to visit other things and showed us the options but we decided to just experience the floating market. We went in the morning so it wasn't sunny. It's better to just experience the boat ride and not shop as the prices of everything are too high, definitely a tourist trap. The coconut ice cream was really good! Overall loved the boat ride and the experience.

A wonderful place to experience what a floating market is like in Bangkok. Damnoen Saduak floating market has many stores which sells popular local delicacies, items and souvenirs.
But that’s is where the positive ends. Damnoen Saduak floating market is a tourist trap. All of the items could be bought elsewhere at a much lower price. The boatman will stop at different stores without request at times too. Strolling through the floating market, you will notice mostly tourists, and the only locals are the vendors.
Come for the experience, not for the shopping. This may be one of the more popular floating markets, but it is not the only one in Bangkok.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is located about 100km from the city centre. The journey usually takes about 2 hours each way.
This popular floating market has become very touristy. There are just a few traders on boats selling food, drinks and fruits now. The banks of the canal is lined with shops selling souvenirs, clothings, food and drinks.
The boat ride we had was a disappointment. The driver just sped through the canal then idled for a while to waste time before taking us back to the jetty. We did not pass through the section with traders on boats.
We should have taken the boat which was manually rowed and not the one with an petrol engine. It was more like a canal speedboat ride than a visit to a floating market.

Very different experience and good one. There is a boat ride for 20 mins. One can do shopping from a boat, and one can also have experience in local life. Recommended to try once and do not forget to bargain.

It’s a nice experience to browse the area with a wooden boat. It is also possible to walk much of the inner market. Taxis will want to drop you off about 1km away at a point from where you can only take a motorboat to go to the market via some narrow canals, whereas if you drive to the market you have the option of a cheaper paddle boat to explore the “inner” market.
The staff will try to sell various experience packages. Boat hire prices are regulated. On the way to the market you’ll see a couple of souvenir shops on the sides of the canals that don’t float. Once you get to the market you’ll see vendors on little wooden boats and more shops ashore. The motorboat felt a little like a tourist trap to us at first but on the other hand the trip to and from the market on it will also show you less touristic areas. Inside the market you can always get off the boat, walk a little and get back on too.
Thomas Braunstingl — Google review
A different experience! The floating market is truly different like you might have seen in tour promotions, where there are boats (same size like yours) that sell a variety of food right beside you! Choose from fresh coconuts/fruits to grilled meats. The "traffic" is in the main galley, that when someone decides to buy some of the food, you do have to stop a bit, but that gives you time to look around the sides where stalls of other goods like clothes and other trinkets are displayed on both sides of the canal. Reminder to keep your hands within the boat and hang on to your phones and cameras! Yes the water is not clear. Wear a hat too. Apparently there is a back way from the main "water road". The primary shopping area is where you do get off your boats, it's huge! we were dropped off at the back, and the good thing is you can haggle prices of some goods! There are restaurants and comfort rooms in the main building. We had fun! Include this on your to try list when in Thailand!
Travelgirls88 — Google review
Such an interesting experience on one of the paddle boats. It's pretty much 5 lane traffic jam all the way but everyone just seems to know how to push past each other. They stop their boat for you to do some shopping.
The pre-Covid bustling narrow walkways along the canal of Amphawa are (almost) empty. This “floating market” was very popular to weekend crowds from Bangkok, with lots of cute little cafe’s and art shops lining the canal. But, according to the owner of the little resort we stayed, it is this Bangkok crowd that is now staying away. A bit of a chicken and egg story. No shops no tourists & no tourists no shops.
It is still fairly busy in the narrow street starting from the temple, going across the walkway bridge to the narrow street on the south side of the canal, but that part does not have the bustling evening floating market vibe. Foreign tourist are still there, but mostly from China.
Peter van Zanten — Google review
Once upon a time, here thrived a vibrant floating market. Nowadays, it's transformed into a serene riverside marketplace, where the sight of boats peddling wares is scarce.
⚠️ Note: This market operates exclusively on weekends, in the afternoons and evenings. Visiting during weekdays or mornings is futile.
Weekend mornings are tranquil, as vendors prepare their stalls for the bustling afternoon crowds. Catering primarily to locals, this market offers a refreshing escape from touristy hubs, albeit with minimal foreign visitors. Don't anticipate a bustling river scene; instead, explore the myriad of shops lining the area's shores.
The absence of tourists also reflects in the pricing, where a satisfying meal can be enjoyed for 40 to 50 baht. While an authentic experience, this market appears to be gradually fading into obscurity.

Touristy place with good view of the station. Price is moderate. Might not be a great deal but not a bad place to chill while waiting the train to come into the station
Mango sticky rice is average
Hot plate is available some noodles and other stuff
Smoothies are great so as coconut

Stopped here for a short snack and to watch the tourists.
Food is average and nothing special. Prices are around 40 for each, sticky rice is 50.
One woman is singing the menu to get attention. Pad Thai was ready immediately, the dumplings took 10 minutes.

Avoid at all cost, better still avoid this restaurant due to the service.
1. Mama Fried (tasteless and noodle overcooked),
2. Tofu Soup (pork still raw when served)
3. Pork noodle (edible if add more chilli powder)
4. Tomyam Gong Noodle (edible with fish sauce)
5. Omelette (tasteless but edible)

Tham Khao Luang is a temple-like cave nestled in the mountain, accessible by either walk or drive. The cave boasts several Buddhist symbols and a reclining Buddha, with natural light pits and artificial lighting providing a serene ambiance. Visitors need to park at the nearby temple for free and pay an entrance fee of 10 baht per person plus ride ticket fee of 15 baht regardless of nationality.
Not difficult to reach simply follow Google map to reach the place. However, we cannot directly drive up to the cave entrance. There are shuttle mini Subaru from the temple at the foot of the mountain. Small entrance fee required.

Visiting these caves is a surreal experience. The caves are easy to access for reasonably fit person with about 50-60 steps. (Senior citizens should be careful)
The cave itself has 2 large rooms with sunlight coming through a hole in the roof.
It is peaceful inside.

This is a really good place to visit. Well I was a little tired when we arrived, but this is worth it. This cave has made been there since 1935. Also I came there at 4 pm so it's really deserted and quite, almost no people there. The photos are amazing, I love the view, but when there's no people around it feels scary because it's so dark inside. Also there are so many monkeys there. Good place. 👍👍

This is great to visit if you're going to give merit, esp. if your Buddhist, nevertheless, served as an adventure. Great walking experience and be able to learn the history. It's much better if you have a private tourist guide who can speak Thai & English for better understanding .

Temple-like cave with a reclining Buddha and many other Buddhist representations. Many natural light pits and artificial lighting give a nice atmosphere. There are steep steps right at the start to access the cave. You need to park - for free - at the Temple nearby and entrance fee is 10baht per person plus ride ticket 15b - whether your are thai or a foreigner (vehicules are not allowed up the mountain to the cave entrance). You can also feed fish at the temple in exchange of a donation of your choice (should be 10b/bottle)

Great place to visit! Loved this cave! To get here, you'll need to go to the temple nearby to get a songthaew ride to the cave entrance. When there, the walk to the cave is quite easy, but then, the stairs into the cave are very steep. They're going down into the cave, so that's not a big problem. Worry about those stairs for when you're going out. The cave itself is really beautiful, with a hole in the ceiling where sunlight passes through. The main hall is quite big. There's another room which also has a hole where the sunlight comes through. You can walk deeper into the cave but it suddenly ends somewhere.
Jonathan van Olderen — Google review
Nice place to visit, if you have some time to spend in the area.
Entrance fee is 10 baht per person - you can drive up to the hill and then take a special stair to the cave (the other one is crowded with dogs).
Cave is huge, but has only two areas - so half an hour is probably enough time to spend there.
Staff speaks English.

Visited 22 2 2024.. Too hot for monkeys, although I did see some on the way down and on the way into town. Great cave for making merit , buying holy relics, many Buddha and my personal guardian Lersi por fae.
Steps can be a bit slippy and of uneven height, so go slow and use the hand rails where provided .Peaceful and spiritual.
You can hear and see bats, and it looks like their messages on the floor.
Nice shops for refreshments and souvenirs. You can drive, right up to the ticket office. The attendant didn't bother with the 25bht charge, and it's 10bht to go to the caves. Worth it
Andrew Chilvers — Google review
Super hot during summer. Need to pay for the car 25 baht for going up. The cave is not long but steep. Recommend to visit if you have time or skip is also ok.
Kulvara Lapanan — Google review
You need to be fit to run up and down the many steps. At the bottom of the steps you will find a large gold sleeping Buddha, along the way down there is also small statues. If you scout around the area you will see many monkeys. There are small shops with drinks and some places to eat. There is a large pond with plenty of fish.
Really enjoyed my visit I parked at the temple and took the small bus up the hill as I wasn't sure if you can drive up but it looks like you can? It wasn't expensive 50b for a return trip so no big deal really the entrance to the cave was only 20b again no problem and there's an air condition room you can sit in and relax after selling drinks and snacks ect it's one of the best caves I've visited around the area.

Fantastic place to stop by when heading to the major tourist destination like Hua Hin or Cha Am as you’ll pass it if you’re travelling by car. Watch out for pesky monkeys around the car park area. Theres a taxi service that’ll take you from the car park straight to the ticket office for 30 Baht. This also includes the return ride back to the car park. Well worth it as it’s a fairly long walk up to the ticket office and you may struggle with the heat of the sun and those monkeys that can be quite aggressive. Once inside the cave, you’ll be amazed and won’t stop taking photo/videos as it’s so beautiful!!
Michiko Suzuki — Google review
Wow... A hidden gem in the heart of Phetchaburi. A few steep steps to get down but once at the bottom it's like an alladins cave of Buddhist statues etc. Only 10 baht entrance fee which is an absolute bargain
Richard Greenhalf — Google review
It is a short walk up to the stairs that lead down to the cave entrance. The cave has two large chambers, both with a large open hole in the ceiling. It can produce nice effects when the sun sends light into the hollow rooms. An interesting visit without the big sun effect, as it was quite cloudy that day.
A challenge is to get sharp pictures in the dark, and a powerful flash to illuminate is recommended, which I did not have with me on this day. There is a large car park in the area outside the ticket office, and it cost 10 baht to visit the cave.
John F. Stieglitz — Google review
Feel serenity in the cave. There were many Buddhas and a door print of Buddha. Beautiful cave with an open sky above.

Phra Nakhon Khiri, also known as Khao Wang, is a historical palace complex situated on top of three elevated peaks in Thailand. The park was completed in 1860 and boasts a national museum with royal furnishings. King Mongkut built the palace and other surrounding structures in 1859 as an escape from Bangkok to pursue his interest in astronomy. The palace showcases a blend of European, Thai, and Chinese architectural styles.
Amazing amazing temple complex on a hill. Not much English but overall still very interesting. Tons of monkeys as well as monks around. You can walk up takes 15 minutes from opposing side to cable car. If you want exercise than dont get scammed by. Able car people because everyone will tell you to go there. You can walk down. 🚡 is 200 baht. The monkeys didn’t seem aggressive but there was an army of them so be careful.
Dimitris Travel And Tips — Google review
A short cable ride going to the top. The pathway going to the temples are wide and passable but make sure to prepare for a long walk up to the top. An overlooking sight of the town awaits you up. It is a nice view to see but prepare an umbrella or anything to protect you from the heat of the sun.
Along the pathway, be careful because there are monkeys. Make sure to keep your hands free of valuable things when you walk thru the pathway.

I loved the visit here. It was a ton of fun to explore the ancient temples and old castle. The history was way cool to learn about as well. Price is 150 baht if you are a foreigner, but if you look Thai or asian, you can get in for 20 baht.

An interesting palace. It is quite a nice experience to visit and understand the living conditions of king. There is no photo allowed within the palace and no shoe is allowed too.

Wow - what a museum. To my understanding, the place was primarily used by His Majesty Rama 4. You can tour the museum (no photos) to see how his house was decorated. You can walk over to two different wants along the mountain. There’s a cable car to the top, so you don’t have to walk up. Beautiful grounds and lots of walking around the top to see the buildings and the sites. Enjoy! #travelthailand

Palace is interesting but they could provide more historic explanations or insights. Nearly no information signs. Cable car ride was fun but they will keep you waiting pretty long times on unbusy days for a ride up or down. Staff is pretty demotivated and uncommonly unfriendly for Thai standards. Even the local monkey was more polite and welcoming.
Overall was a good visit, but many things that could be improved.
Taku N — Google review
Fantastically preserved royal palace on the hill top.
Check the cable car is running before you visit or it is a long long hike up the mountain.
Remember to dress decorously as usual with palaces - covered shoulders etc and you cannot take photos inside - but the views are spectacular over the city below, and imagine the King Rama IV hosting diplomatic missions.
Stuart Boutell — Google review
The tickets included the entrance and cable car 🚡 2 ways up and down total costs 230B per adult, it's nice to have a little cultural visit in between Bangkok and Hua-Hin if that's coming up in your trip.

Really great place with so much of interest here. The Historic Park can be accessed by a short cable car ride and is actually spread across three summits along the hillside requiring some uphill walking between each. Try to go early, it's very tiring walking this site in 31C heat. What is now the Museum was previously the Palace of a King Rama IV who eatablished this place in 1859, no photos allowed inside. You should visit all parts of this site, the Phra Kaew Noi Temple, Jatuwech Pariphat Hall and the Great White Pagoda.
I love the way these buildings have been laid out in the beautiful surroundings of Shrubs and Tropical vegetation.
The Cable Car costs 50 Baht return ticket and entrance to the Historic Park is 150 Baht, which includes the Museum/Palace.
I travelled up from Hua Hin for the day, but this one place alone was worth the trip.
Miles Macdonald — Google review
This is a must-to-go place if you are in the area. Rama IV's palace is located high on the mountain with a magnificent view over the entire area. You take the cable car up here, and then it's a walk around between the various buildings that are spread over the entire mountain.
The trip is not for people with poor walking. In the past there were many wild monkeys which were a bit of a nuisance. They are now gone from the mountain, there are only a few at the foot of the mountain.
For some inexplicable reason, photography inside the palace itself is strictly prohibited, foreigners also have to pay 5 times as much to see the palace. This which costs a star.
When foreigners have to pay so much extra, maybe you could use some of the money to maintain the buildings, which are crying out for paint

This summer palace was settled in Kind Rama the fourth 160 years ago on the hill and become the iconic tourist spot of Prtchburi province in present day. The easiest way to go up the hill by the tram cost 80 baht for Thai and 250 baht for non-Thai. It worth to visit here in the morning and late afternoon to avoid the heat in summer.

Covering an area of 2,914 sq.-km., it is renowned for its stunning rivers and diverse wildlife. Recently recognized as a World Heritage Site, this national park offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore its natural beauty while engaging in activities such as birding, butterflying, hiking and photography.
Thailand's largest NP. A wonderful place for birding, butterflying, hiking and photography. Went mainly for birds and butterflies and KK provided plenty of both. Saw 42 new bird species w/pics of most and countless species of butterflies. Also 1 beautiful Monocled Cobra, which was an added thrill and bonus.

300bht per pax per entry (no re-entries if you leave) and 30bht for a car. Camping is possible within the park. We rented a tent, mattresses, sleeping bags and pillows from the park rangers for 400bht a night/tent. Size was good for 2-3 pax. Park is great for birding and insects. The actually NP (not around the dam) is one of the most amazing and wildest parts of the world. With two camp sites and their facilities you can spend weeks there looking for birds, elephants, leopards, gibbons etc… a must visit place in Thailand.

Nice park, but you do need to know where to go. It is a park with different enterances, which are quite far from each other. Would recommend to put: Ban Krang Camp on your navigation, as that part is the more beautiful side of the park. The other part, with the headquarters is boring and touristy.
Especially the view from the panoen thung mountain is very nice; do note you really need a high truck for driving up the mountain (road is very challenging).

Biggest park in Thailand. Resorts camping sites, eateries.
Boat trips on the dam lake.
Temple on an island in the middle.
Ranger Station at the entrance is helpful It's best to speak some Thai.
Like all parks, it has ridiculous and insulting dual pricing for entrance fees. Otherwise I would give stars. Incredibly rare on my reviews
With 4x4 you can drive to the summit for bird watching and camp site

Enjoyed the walk. It can get quite hard as some spots require climbing over rocks with the aid of built-in ropes. The first levels are an easy walk, and the further levels are more difficult.
Good small waterfalls to see, lots of fish and butterfly's along the way.

Pretty cool place, only one of the bridges was open and thought there'd be more of an opportunity to walk but there's not as many paths as I thought...
Can rent a bicycle for 30b an hour, they're all a bit rickety but it was good fun.
Can also camp there, think it's 250 a night.
We all enjoyed ourselves and the food at the cafe was yummy and reasonably priced (50b or so a meal) though they were a little stingy with the sauce..

The bed and breakfast located in the Santorini Park provides Mediterranean-style accommodation within a theme park. Guests are given access to a shared kitchenette, as well as free entry to the park. Overall, our stay was enjoyable thanks to the kind and helpful staff who were attentive to our requests. While they could benefit from more training in product knowledge and English language skills, we appreciated their efforts to provide top-notch service.
Clean, plenty of chairs and shade, limited but affordable food options, fun for little and big kids. Lockers available. Cabanas can be rented for 2,000 baht per day; I think they have AC and TV! Bring your own towels but no outside food or drink. Pricey but worth it. Residents qualify for a discount.

We had a wonderful and memorable stay here. It's really heart warming when we first stepped in to our room as it was decorated with balloons and "Happy Birthday" banner and also birthday present 😍 **We were here to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday and we did leave a note upon booking.
Room was great! Clean, spacious and cozy.Easy excess to Santorini Theme Park & Water park. My children truly enjoyed it very much and hoping to come back again.
Disadvantage : no food after 6:30pm, not even the hotel will provide u food. However, there's a nice restaurant which is about 3km away from hotel and taxi charges for 2ways @ 300Tbh. Another choice would be, packet some food at the theme park before they close.

We only visited the water park which I did enjoy very much. However the for how much I enjoyed the park the down side was there rules on food and drink, we had a bag check which solo reason was to look for food and drink. This would not be a problem but once we were in the park most western food such as burgers and pizza was not available. I don't have a problem if you have food and drink for us in the park but when you don't there is no reason not to let us take it in. Furthermore we had to buy a towel but the quality was very poor, I wish there has been better quality towels as would be happy to buy on as a memory for our holiday.

Love this place, it does feel like in Santorini. Cute white Greek path, tons of pretty corners to take pictures. The rooms are clean and cozy equipped with comfy beds, apple tv, and small cookie jar. Breakfast room is pretty, you will need to pick your menu beforehand, there will be bread, cereal, and eggs available on counter if you prefer not to prebook your meal.
When you open the room door, it'd be outdoor area. Maybe troublesome when it rains.
Hotel is connected with theme park with several choices of restaurants, dessert bar, and one bubble tea bar.
Theme park is pretty small but well maintained.

Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) is a sanctuary located 45km west of Hua Hin that provides care and protection to over 500 animals, including elephants, monkeys, jungle cats and birds. The center also operates an elephant rescue program where the animals are free from chains for the rest of their lives. Unlike other tourist traps in Hua Hin, WFFT offers full-access tours that educate visitors on animal rescue histories. A full-day visit includes walking and bathing elephants.
such an incredible foundation. You can see the animals are being well looked after compared to other sanctuaries I've seen. The animals all have a large amount of space and it's nice to know than many of them are being released back to their natural habitat after recovery. Definitely will be back in the future to volunteer and would 100% recommend this to everyone!

Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) – Where Magic Happens for Thailand's Animals!
Alright, folks, hold onto your hats 'cause I'm about to take you on a wild ride through the enchanted world of Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT). These folks are like real-life wizards, working their magic to protect and care for all creatures great and small in the heart of Thailand.
You know what makes this place extra special? The passionate volunteers! These guys are like the knights of the animal kingdom, devoting their time and energy to be the protectors of these beautiful creatures. Their dedication is awe-inspiring, and they're like a superhero squad that never sleeps, always looking out for our furry and feathered friends.
But wait, there's more – these animal-loving magicians don't stop at just rescuing and caring for critters. Oh, no! They're on a mission to pass on their wisdom to the new generation of animal enthusiasts in Thailand. They're like animal whisperers, teaching the young ones how to treat animals with kindness and respect.
And let me tell ya, seeing those little ones soaking up that animal education is like witnessing a magical transformation. It's like planting seeds of compassion that will grow into a forest of love for animals across the country.
So, in a nutshell, Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand is a place where magic is real, and the magic workers are the passionate volunteers who care for all creatures like true heroes. They're not just rescuing animals; they're saving hearts and inspiring the future generation to become guardians of our furry and feathery companions. Hats off to WFFT for their spellbinding work! Keep spreading that enchantment, you magical creatures of compassion! Bravo!

This place is great! They are really good at educating you about how so many people out there use animals to make money and trick tourists into admiring them without understanding how much suffering is hidden behind one ride on an elephant or one picture with a monkey in pants. Don’t come here expecting entertainment, this place is for learning and becoming a better version of ourselves, it’s for supporting a good initiative by seeing the rescued animals and learning their stories. Visiting this place became the highlight of our trip to Thailand and we will keep following them on Instagram and donating to make sure that one day we can see the world where animals don’t have to suffer to please humans. Keep it up!

Took the half-day afternoon tour of the sanctuary. The staff were really and accommodated our various requests.
Lunch was provided and it was pretty good. The afternoon tour was mainly on the bus and we were able to get up close to a large variety of animals, while the tour guide shared information about the animals and how they were rescued. Highlights of the tour are getting up close (not too close) to the tigers and feeding the elephants.

WFFT is a unique center founded for the rescuing of abused and illegality exploitation of rare and protected animals. The massive effort in giving these animals a return to normal life after having endured suffering at the hands of unscrupulous traders and traffickers and some domestic usage alike. Now getting back into an environment were normalized conditions prevail. Here you may personally come close to a very wide selection of animals, otherwise hard to see. Not only is this none commercial operation a very worthwhile cause, it offers the opportunity to view this huge selection of animals rarely found anywhere else. This sanctuary is home to over 300 species including, tigers, elephants gibbons and even a wonderful selection of national rare birds. Highly recommended for all lovers of nature.

An amazing organisation, Volunteered here for 2 weeks and loved every minute of it.
I never knew so much went into the daily runnings of a sanctuary / rehabilitation centre - But after working here I have a deep respect for the selfless work provided by both the staff and the volunteers.
You really get to experience the animals like you would never be able to anywhere else, They all have such different personalities and stories behind them.
If you’re not volunteering then they also offer day trips that are full day / half day, So that’s also definitely worth it to have a look around.
The gift shop is cheap and sells some wonderful clothing
Only thing I disliked was the fact there was no AC and the rooms were fairly hot, Manageable but I would happily pay extra if AC was an option 😆
Can’t wait to come back in the future.

Rescue shelter for all kinds of wild animals. When possible to return into the wild after treatment, that will be the main goal, if not they will try to give the animals a life as close to their natural habitat as possible. No animal shelter in Thailand provides better living conditions for the animals.
It is no commercial setup, only a limited number of tourists is allowed to visit, and only on appointment .

We took the all-day tour when we stayed at the ILovePhants lodge. The guides were friendly and professional. We learned a lot about the animals there. It was amazing to feed elephants. The included lunch was fine given the very reasonable price for an all-day tour including lunch.
Note that this is an animal rescue center where most animals are in some sort of (very large) enclosure. Visitors should not expect something like a safari where wild animals are roaming completely freely. If one’s expectations are set accordingly, one will have an excellent time.
We were very glad to support the center’s efforts and would happily return.

Great to see a humane and ethical elephant sanctuary that lets the animals live their days in peace well cared for by an amazing staff and team of volunteers. The lunch buffet was great and had a wonderful day touring the sanctuary.
Kevin Larkin — Google review
The place is fantastic! They rescue animals from captivity and maltreatment and provide a caring home for them as most of the animals will never be able to return to the wilds.
Our tour was very informative, the guide knew many of the animals by name and would provide anecdotes about them.
You will also learn some eye opening truths about conditions that humans condemn animals to.
The main policy is look, listen but don't touch (with a few exceptions). If you are looking to bathe or ride an elephant, go elsewhere or better yet visit WFFT and learn why it is the worst practice ever.

Did a full-day tour with them. It was amazing and informative. They do a great job at wildlife rehabilitation and conservation. Highly recommend visiting the place for anyone who appreciates hands-off wildlife experience!

Organization doing great work at rescuing, rehabilitating, and housing abused animals in the region. Those that cannot be released remain on premises in great facilities. No elephant swimming or rides here.....these animals are no longer performing or laboring. Good work being done by good people. Facilities includes restaurant for day visitors plus several overnight accommodations

They will tell you the story of many animals. Like the poor blind elephant we gave the watermelon to. We wanted an internal day in this refuge. You can see many animals saved either from abuse or abandonment. Lately they have recovered 12 tigers, in addition to the 9 they already had. A wonderful day, very kind and friendly staff. Go and visit it, you won't regret it

Our visit to the foundation was inspirational concerning its activities in regard to conservation.
But so sad when the explanations are devilled throughout the day on how badly the animals were treated before they were rescued.
If you travel to Thailand and decide that you want to take the opportunity to see tigers, leopards, the great apes, and all manner of endangered species, then think hard concerning who you give your money to.
Unfortunately, Thailand has been exsploting animals at the bequest of tourists for decades.
Do not encourage this behaviour by perpetrating what has gone before.
The foundation saves tortured animals from zoos and private owners and give them a chance at living out their lives with dignity and peace without the shackles of having to perform for the paying public.
Swiss Sheep Farm is a family-friendly destination featuring an array of adorable animals such as sheep, rabbits, and horses. The attraction offers unique photo opportunities with quirky displays. However, it's recommended to avoid visiting during midday when temperatures can be high. Visitors are provided with a small bundle of grass to interact with the animals, making for a fun experience for both children and adults alike.
Great place to bring children to experience farm animals.

It's a great farm to visit when travelling with kids to Hua Hin. Farm is considerably huge, with a good range of animals. Feeds are readily available to purchase for you to feed the animals. Overall, I would recommend to visit at least once when you are in Hua Hin!
ChunJin Tan — Google review
Really poorly maintained. It looks like they don't do anything to keep the place looking good or bother to repair everything that's broken. The maze is completely run down and dangerous for kids, so don't let them go in there.
Cute animals and lots of photo ops, especially with the beautiful mountain behind the farm. Worth a visit for families with kids or for taking Instagram-photos.
BUT, beware of the dual pricing scam. The Thai price is written in Thai numbers as 50 for adults, while the English price says 150 baht. This is not a government run national park, so the dual pricing is just a scam and that is why it gets 2 stars.
The nearby Pansook Farm offers basically the same things, without the mountains in the background. The animals are much better taken care of there too. You also get free entrance at Pansook if you spend money in the connecting mall or restaurant. If you buy a ticket it's 50 baht for everyone, no racism or dual pricing there.

It's a quite small place. I may say perfect place for 4-8 years old kids to run and Riding horse and feeding rabbits.
JinJu Kim — Google review
A nice place to visit and the staff is nice. Overall the animals looked well fed and lively. Altough 1 young cow was a bit underfed, the giraffes have a bit of a small enclosure and some of the bunnies were a bit hairless (maybe due to stress?). But apart from this I do think the animals have a decent space. The farm also lets you feed the animals and tells you what you can give them, which is good.
Also includes some entertainment decorations and buildings.

The baby goats were so cute!!!
Entrance fee for foreigners is 150 baht, includes some grass which you can use to feed the goats. You can always pay for more grass to feet the goats, horses and rabbits.
Swiss Sheep Farm branding is all over the compound...but there were no sheep at all, all goats. Still super cute though hehe. Rabbits and guinea pigs too. You can ride in a small horse-drawn carriage for a small fee.
They would also take photos of you and try to sell you the framed photos for 150 baht. The frame is quite nice, just a small price to pay if you like the photos.
A very simple farm so dont expect too much. Reminds me of the type of farms and attractions I used to go to when I was a kid.
Seems like an ethical farm. Staff are not pushy and animals seemed well treated. Enjoyed my short visit here.

A nice place for children and family to take some nice photos.
You get a small bundle of grass to feed the animals to have some interaction with them.
Allow for an hour or so for this place.
I hope this place will survive the pandemic, as it would be a pity if it had to close down.

Not much going on here, pretty deserted when we went. Still, nice for young children to feed the goats, pigs and sheep. Not much else, but at least the tortoises were having fun.

My two year old grandson enjoy himself. None of the rides were functional and appear to have been broken for some time. This did not stop my grandson from enjoying climbing on them. The only people disappointed were the adults. The grounds are well-kept, the animals appear to be well fed and cared for, and the walk-through attractions are clean and enjoyable. several vintage US vehicles and tractors on the property were interesting to look at. I was only charged 50 baht as was my Thai wife, I am here on a long-stay Visa so I got the Thai entrance fee. Normally foreigners are 150 Baht. Would have been happy to pay that as my grandson had a great time. small enough venue that youngsters will not get overtired walking around the entire area. Beautiful mountain in the background of the property.
Nang Yuan Island, also known as Koh Nang Yuan, is a beautiful and picturesque island in Koh Tao that boasts a sandy beach and is popular for snorkeling and diving. The island is covered in lush foliage, with aquamarine waters and white sands that create a vibrant atmosphere. Visitors can hike to the top of the hill for panoramic views of this heavenly piece of land.
How to get to Koh Nang Yuan Viewpoint
The viewpoint on Koh Nang Yuan offers one of the most famous and photographed panoramas in Thailand.
Featured on postcards all over the world, it’s well worth taking the time to pay a visit and to try snorkeling and hike up to the viewpoint.

That is the one beautiful Island in the world, top 5 in Thailand, here include 3 small islands near each other. After ebb tide during 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. you will see sand road, walking path of each island. This is amazing!

250baht fee entry, you are not allowed to go in with fins, also all corals are dead. There is just some small fishes and thats it.

Highly highly highly recommend this place for people to enjoy snorkeling without any diving or swimming knowledge. White sands, clear water with beautiful fishes and crabs in sight. It’s a short boat ride from Koh Tao to Koh Nang Yuan. You need to pay small entrance fee and no food or plastic is allowed. Island closes at 5, so be sure to go there early morning to spend the whole day. You can rent snorkeling equipment from there and enjoy. There are also hiking paths and places to view the islands from above.

( these photo were taken on April 7th) ⭐️⭐️I recommend you to book a trip to the island in advance so you can have a tour guide. (and in the ferry you have complimentary stay in vip room ) The island tour includes a buffet lunch. Some of the spots I took were from the private zones of the tour. the tour start It's very early in the morning so there aren't many people yet. Recommend you to come after Songkran in Thailand onwards. because during Songkran there will be a lot of people 💥 If you want privacy Let's come Monday to Friday. small island but bright water It's very hot during the day. You can rent diving equipment from the water shop. But there is also a deposit (~1000baht)

Fantastic island, beautiful. There are so many ways to get to it. Different packages from scober diving to just hiring one the small boats a total of 1250 Bhat return, there was five of us so potentially, try and hangle the price down if there are less of you.
BE WARNED THERE IS A ISLAND TAX OF 250 BHAT PER person that nobody tells you about until you get there.
Great beaches, sunshine, and clear water, perfect for snokling.
Don't forget your bug spray!

This is a beautiful island to visit, there isn’t much choice on where to buy any snacks whilst visiting. And no plastic is allowed to enter island, any plastic bottles are taken away when entering and paying the entrance fee. If you head up to the view point be prepared for a little queue on the final section. (The hike is not a long walk so a little wait is ok for a quick picture).

Incredible island. Entrance is not cheap but what’s the point to go to Koh Tao without visiting Nang Yuan island. Go early morning to avoid tons of tourists.

One of the most beautiful islands of Thailand , this can be reached by a boat ride from koh samui. There are options of some hotel if you want to spend a night. But yes, that night would be damn right in the lap of nature with only sounds of the waves. Can also be reached for a day trip. Definitely a must visit if you are in koh samui. Little hiking is required to reach the viewpoint but once you reach the view is mind blowing.

Nang Yuan Island is one of the top things to visit in Koh Tao and there is a reason for that. This uniquely shaped island is extremely beautiful and focuses on being a green island as well. You can for example not bring any plastic bottles on the island.
The hike to the viewpoint is steep, with lots of mosquitoes, but the view is 100% worth it.

Yes it’s beautiful island, the shape of the island, the color of the water, view from the hill etc
But the island is packed with tourists and corals are mostly dead. It felt like a graveyard of corals. There are so many better islands for snorkeling. So I won’t recommend the snorkeling tour. Was bit of a joke…

Seashell Resort Koh Tao is a beautiful tropical retreat located on Sairee Beach, offering stunning sea views and airy villas that feature traditional Thai decor with Balinese influences. The resort boasts an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi, and an on-site diving center that offers courses for guests. Guests can also enjoy seafront dining and the option to stay in rooms with private pools. The staff is welcoming and helpful, while the breakfast has numerous choices available.
Lovely staff, room is good, breakfast also fine with a lot of choices, food is also good, many swimming pools, honestly nothing bad to say, maybe the WiFi which is not so efficient for WFH. The hotel is located right on the beach. My second stay here and there will definitely have more to come
Julien BLANC — Google review
Location on the backpacker strip. Walking distance to the beach. The Pool is not on the beach and a bit run down. (Although if you pay more there is a 'private' pool, but everyone walking past can see you)
The room is small and very basic which would be fine if it wasn't overpriced. there is a lack of plugs in the room. Couldn't boil the kettle. I had to put it on the bed to boil while using the plug. Breakfast is an additional 250 baht which is average at best. The scuba diving part of seashell wanted to charge us 3000baht for two dives.( Special price for guests) Whereas just down the road was 2000baht.

AVOID!!
We got here through booking.. they had an offer for a room with A/C. When we got there was an Scam, they dont have any room with A/C at that price, just the bungalow under the sun with fan. After showing them how your booking says clearly A/C. They will blame Booking and give you 2 options.. or upgrade the room to get A/C (almost double price of the offer) or cancel the booking and go somewhere else (obviusly you will lose the money of the booking). They will tell you to call booking to short everything out.. knowing that Booking can not help with this at all.
Also the pics from the resort are from when they open the resort.. rooms are old, dirty, mold smell. The pool area was abandon one of them half empty green water bc of that was full of mosquitos everywhere.
I wouldn’t recommend this place

I would like to preface that my girlfriend and I stayed in a bungalow and I heard some of the other rooms were nicer. However, I would not recommend staying here or in the bungalows. These rooms were clearly super dated and ours even had little openings in the ceilings. This was perfect for letting mosquitoes in. I can tell this place used to be nice, but that’s not the case anymore. Additionally, our sheets were stained and the shower on our second day had no water pressure and it was cold. The pool was green so I wouldn’t dare let anyone I care about jump in. Lastly, I am writing this review on cellular because there is absolutely no WIFI in the bungalows that works. The only upside to this place is the location…

Lovely hotel. My family, myself and my boyfriend stayed for 2 nights in 2 rooms, and on our second day we got to change rooms so we could have a bungalow. They allowed us to check into our new rooms early and were very helpful. Pool is very clean, just beware of the diving classes happening throughout the day in the hotel swimming pool. The hotels neighbouring restaurant offers a lovely breakfast on the beach. Highly recommend this hotel, very clean, very beautiful!

Good location but facilities nowhere as advertised.
Rooms were big enough but totally outdated. Bed was not comfortable (too hard) while humidity in the room was present for my whole stay (5nights).
If you are looking for a place nearby the hotspots this couls be the place. If you are looking for relaxing stay to enjoy the island and having commodities at your hotel, I would not recommend.
Sergi Ricart (Snarko) — Google review
First thing we noticed when entering the room was a very strong mold smell. If you have back problems or spinal issues do not stay here. The beds are like sleeping on the floor, the hardest I've ever slept on. The air con was super old and didn't work properly. The safe broke down and wasn't even secured to the wall. The bathroom cupboards were falling apart. It is a good location but the resort is in desperate need of repair. It is very unloved. Also their internet across the resort is incredibly slow and almost unusable. I would not recommend this place as a restful place to stay.
Robbie Lockie — Google review
Very good location, lovely pool, and really really friendly staff who help you with bookings, etc.
However, the whole place feels a bit run down, the room is extremely outdated, the locks on the doors don't work properly, and neither did the shower.

First time diving. Victor, the instructor, showed me everything I need to know. For the start we went in the pool to get used to the equipment. Then we went to two different dive spots. I felt very safe underwater, since I got Victor on my side. He pointed me in the right direction and kept me away from hitting the ground also checked the equipment every time. Very nice experience. Will come back to do advanced open water.

The place is nice and close from bars, restaurants, shops. The swimming pool is beautiful and there is a dedicated one for learning to dive.
The rooms are ok but quite a bit loud at night. You easily heard your neighbor when they walk on the floor and the walls are very thin.
They don't have motorbike rental shop parternership/contacts, you need to find by our own.
Julien Madouasse — Google review
Location is great, but its not what is seems like. The area of the hotel looks dirty and not scenic at all. The bed was really hard. Felt like sleeping on a piece of wood. There were spiders, lizards and a bunch of mosquitos in the room. Also weirdly enough I have never had a shower be so uncontrollably hot, it wasn’t even pleasant.
We noticed all of this within 15 min of being there and asked if we could check out and get a refund and the staff and manager were very repulsive and rude about the whole situation even though we just expressed our concerns. They made us stay for the night and then were able to check out the next day which made me upset, but i also understand business.
Overall would never recommend this place. Overpriced.

You're right in the middle of Sairee beach area so a short walk to where you want to be. However, this place is shabby and unkept. The rooms are mostly dingy and dark, junctional but very dated. The staff are inattentive, unfriendly and poorly trained. Worst of all though was the decking around the swimming pool. It was broken, uneven and poorly maintained to say the least. I would not let children anywhere near it.
In my experience, the management is to blame for the lack of investment in the hotel and its staff.

I booked a bed in a dormitory for six people with shared bathroom for two nights and it was not a good stay:
- I didn’t see them cleaning the bathroom and showers, which accumulated dirt from several days, they only came in to check unoccupied beds and sweep.
- It says to include internet but it never worked.
- There is no staff to review compliance with the rules.
- The door sometimes didn't work.
I spent more money for this accommodation that is not worth it. There is a great offer in the sector and you only have to check the reviews to decide and also very close to the beach and at a lower cost.

Hotel is a large facility in a good location ot is close to the busy area with plety of pubs and activities less than 30 minutes walk. There is a ferry boat servoce on the beach directly in front of the hotel super convinient for hoping around the island. The breakfast is nice with view on the beach. However upon arrival we had booked a bungalow with ac and where informed our room was unavailable so we where initialy put in a room with 2 twin beds. Since we had purposly booked a room with a single queen sized bed we where not satisfied by this and went back the the counter. We where switched to a room with one king bed. The room was larger than the bungalow with a balcony but we where still dissapponted in not having the room we booked. Initialy the room seemed clean but after a couple hours the perfume faded and an overwheeling stench of urine was coming from the shower. It seems instead of cleaning it theyd just cover it up with perfume every day. The main pool for all guests is so full of particulate you cannot see the bottom. This quite anoying because the pool for the premium rooms is crystal clear. It is passable for a couple night but for the price would honestly not recommend. The dirty shower and pool where quite a big anoyance.
Nicolas Desando — Google review
when we arrived the room was half cleaned, hair residue in the shower, poor service, tired staff. even though we had cleaning every second day, it was only the trash that was emptied, of course we told about a proper cleaning but still only emptying of trash, torn bed linen etc. we asked for new bed linen after 5 days, we got a new bed sheet. Will never pay dearly for that service there again.
the pool was completely green, couldn't see the bottom. the pictures are extremely misleading.

I booked a family room, which was very expensive. When I checked in, first of all, I wasn't told about any amenities around the hotel like swimming pool, beach towels, breakfast etc, I had to discover everything myself over the stay. When I finally was able to go to my room, the bath didn't have a pipe in it, so I had to go back to the reception, I asked to change the room, the receptionist lady didn't want to do it so in the end she asked one of the worker to go with me to the room so I can show him what is happening, then I spend 30 minutes watching him trying to fix it, he asked me if it's ok if they fix it tomorrow for me, I said no, so he took the whole pipe out and walked with me to the reception when then finally the receptionist gave me other room. No apologies given of course. The second room was barely working as well, doors were very hard to close, the windows were not fitted well so the room was full of mosquitos (room was next to the big green swamp so you can imagine how bad it was), there were stains on the walls and furnitures and flies everywhere, bathroom was very wobbly and unfinished, the light above the bath was falling out of the ceiling 😅 Breakfast was ok, and location was great. If they fix the rooms and area and instal mosquito nests above the beds the resort could be so great. But it's just falling apart instead.

We stayed in a bungalow above the beach with an amazing view. Very clean, no AC but 2 fans that were sufficient. This is a family-run place and Khun Pom and her husband were very nice. We loved swimming and snorkeling in the beautiful bay, saw many colourful fishes and baby sharks and enjoyed working at the bar/restaurant (good wifi everywhere, good food and smoothies!). 5-10min from Sairee Beach with a motorbike. Maenam Beach on Ko Samui is a laid-back, several kilometers long stretch of coastline lined with palm trees, rental bungalows, and restaurants. It faces north into the Gulf of Thailand from the island's north-central coast and offers deeper waters for adult swimmers compared to other beaches on the island. This beach provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for families with children looking to swim and sunbathe in shallow waters.
It is a clean and pretty beach but there's not a lot to do!
Bhuvi G — Google review
Probably most of it is rather clean and cared for since sections of the beach are being maintained by the adjacent hotels.
The sections that are being vacant, further down the beach close to the Lomprayah pier, are a complete nightmare. There’s trash everywhere. Nobody feels responsible because the hotel owners don’t look right or left. Also there’s plastic glitter everywhere, probably from New Year’s. I am baffled how you could use glitter when you’re next to the sea and the majority ends up in water.
It’s quite cynical when you’re at the pier and there’s banners asking for eco-friendly packaging due to trash. And then the whole beach looks like the pics attached.
I think we might have seen a few people doing an effort cleaning up but if it wasn’t for the tourists, there wouldn’t be clean beaches at all.

Pretty mediocre beach, with a lot of garbage laying around. Some hotels clean the sand in front of them but most don't bother or do not do it frequently enough.
There are much better beaches around especially on the east side of the island (particularly Crystal, Choengmon and Chaweng). Also full of garbage (so sad), but much nicer with soft white sand.

Michal Vydarený — Google review
There's no doubt that this is the quietest main beach on Samui. There is no person in sight at all, other than a couple of guys bringing out their dogs out for a walk. The sand is a little more on the coarser side, so it may not be the most comfortable to lie on, although there are hotels and resorts where one can stay along to relax without getting sandy. The beach is relatively clean but it can get narrow at certain stretches, so abit too near to the waves to lie down. You'll have to bring your own mat cause there are none laid down by any accommodation on the sandy beach. Although very beautiful, one will feel a bit solitary lying there alone, unless you're specifically looking for something like that. There is nary a pub, cafe or drinking place on the stretch, so that contributes to the quietude you'll definitely get when you're around.

Very nice beach on the north side of Koh Samui. The sand on the beach feels very soft and there are plenty of palm trees along the beach. The beach is very long. It is possible to rent jet skis here also. Unfortunately there are quite many algae in the water which made swimming not soo nice.

I have used Lomprayah ferries many times. Everything usually works very well by Thai standards. Special thanks to the staff when I easily got back my headphones that I forgot on the ferry 😀. In Thailand, everything goes well when the attitude is relaxed and friendly. You should leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life in your home country.

Lots of people in the boat. Always delays. Got it 3 times and all of them had delays. One of them they were saying 30 mins delay but ended up being one hour day.
Might be better to go with the slower boat service. They might be on time and thus quicker yo reach destination at the end of the day.

They change the pier without any notice, and made me spent 700 baht on taxi( because they have no shuttle) to go to Nathon Pier, and when i arrive to this pier they decide to change to the other pier, making me take a bus, to arrive late for the boat and having to change my trip for two hours later. They say the boat dont go from this pier because of big wave, and they say is fault of the agency i booked, and they gave me no refund for the money i lost
The worst thing of all this, is that the ferry was over booked, so i have to travel stand up on the sun, even though i got a surgery a week ago and i told the staff. Also the smell of durian all over the boat was disgusting. Its a pitty i have to travel once a week to samui w, qnd i have to continue traveling with this company, i hope they are more serious from now on

Our boat ride was delayed 1hr, and the bus ride following the ferry was incredibly small and uncomfortable with less leg room than an airline economy seat! Then finally upon arrival they then suddenly hassle you to use their shuttle service to get to your final destination.
And given that their delays are Impossible to prepare for, setting up a ride in advance is nearly impossible. Would recommend any other company!

Really bad company ! We bought a ticket for Nathon Pier Ko samui from Krabi and arrived at an opposite pier. They didn’t even offer us the transfer. Don’t recommend

I was well received and well informed . the place is very clean. Depart for Phuket Lomprayah Office ( catamaran+ bus : 1300 baths)... Schedule respected. Good ferry. Good team.

The boat arrived 30 minutes late on a sunny day without waves. It doesn't announce where or how to exit. The drivers don't know how to get to destination. They talk a lot among them but nothing happens.
Worst pier and worst taxi service in Thailand.
Blast — Google review
Gong show. Disorganized. Boat over an hour late without explanation or apology. Don't be fooled by the pictures of the catamaran as there isn't one. These are all speedboats which are small and unpleasant in rough water. Just terrible.

Best catamaran service in koh samui.
The service offered and the price offered were very good. We need a transfer from bophut to khao sok, the entire journey was arranged for us by lomprayah for 800 baht which included transfer from bophut to lomprayah ferry- bus transfer from donsak pier to surat thani bus station - khao sok.
The journey of taken by a pvt taxi would have costed 5000 baht was completed within 1600 baht for two people.

Always getting delayed. So better to prepare 3-4 hours in advance especially if you are planning to catch flights.

Got lucky while going to Koh Tao, the boat left from this pier because it usually leaves from Pralang pier. Check in process was smooth.

All OK for us, no delay. Boat and bus are fine, it's no luxury travel but it gets you to the destination. Not much of an alternative anways.

If I could give zero stars I would. Utter chaos. The lack of clarity and communication is astounding. Granted there must have been extenuating circumstances, but who knows. We went to one service window, and were then directed to a second window to receive the tickets we had already paid for. That window then told us to come back in 50 minutes. We came back and the attendant closed the window telling people to come back in 10 minutes. 10 minutes later we knocked on that window only to be directed to a large line at a third window. We arrived nearly 2 hours early to check in for our ferry boat and were misdirected or ignored each time. I’ve never seen so many office workers doing absolutely nothing. Use this service if you must but just know that communication, punctually, and standard professionalism are lacking. We were scheduled to go on the 3:30 p.m ferry, that was not the case. As of 4:30 the boat was not even at the peer with no announcement given by the staff regarding the delay. Finally, after many individuals approaching the staff and suggesting they make an announcement, the staff announced that the boat will arrive at 5:30 and board at 5:40. A boat did come at 5:30, and the staff had all persons waiting for Ko Tao walk down to the pier, just so happened that they were only allowing people whose 12:30 ferry boat hadn’t made it yet to board. All 3:30 people were directed eventually, by word of mouth among the passengers to sit on a curb. Then some of the staff directed folks to another pier, however directions were inconsistent and unclear. Interestingly, the staff seemed to think it was almost amusing.

Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks, popular natural formations resembling male and female genitalia, are a noteworthy tourist spot. Crowded with visitors taking selfies and portraits, the attraction creates traffic nightmares as people attempt to arrive by car on a narrow road. Local shops offer curios while clear blue water adds to the scenic beauty of the location. Visitors should tread cautiously due to slippery surfaces in wet conditions; solid grip soles are advisable since no barriers or safety banners have been put up yet.
Went on a drive on the scooter and found this place. It’s absolutely beautiful. It wasn’t too busy when we went to so there wasn’t too many people. There was no ticket needed only paid 10 baht to park our motorcycle.
The guide there was very friendly and told us the history of the place and the story of how the rocks came to be.
Nice place to visit. They also have a cooking school right there and a rock bar that looks really cool.
Tee — Google review
Below the belt puns and sarcasm aside. The rocks are impressive, and busy, drawing several tourists to take selfies and portrait pics for their personal accounts. Traffic was a nightmare.. everyone wanted to get there by car.. and cars trying to pass each other on the narrow road was a nail-biting ordeal even for pedestrians. Shops and curios galore.. clear blue water... And a warning about something being slippery when wet makes for a comic interlude... Avoid shoes without a solid grip sole..there are no barriers or safety banners.

A very nice outcropping of rocks which lend themselves to use as a trail & photo op. Trip to this Southern portion from Bophut took about 30 min. Well worth it. Lovely selection of stalls selling foods & souvenirs. Lots of inexpensive parking & midweek March is certainly not busy.
Gerry Steiert — Google review
A great tourist attraction to spend half an hour or so at. You can either drive here and park for 30b at many car parks nearby or just walk along Lamai beach.
The rocks themselves aren't much to look at but make for a photograph or two. What's really nice here is the view and the little bay at the bottom of the main rock area. The sand is beautifully white and the water is quite literally crystal clear. Most visiting the rocks do not venture to the beach area so it's more quiet there and a lovely place for small children to splash about.
The little restaurant that faces the bay is also worth a visit for a quick bite to eat. You can enter both the restaurant and Rock Bar from the Bay. Rock bar has its own private beach too which is even more peaceful than the bay area here.
Caitlin Burnett — Google review
Peaceful spot. Lovely vista. Nice rock formations. Mostly famous for it male & female ones. Very small beach if you want sit in the shade of the big tree & take a dip. Narrow road but at the end there are 3 car parks 30 bt. Plenty of vendors selling food, snakes, drinks & gifts. Usual time spent walking around & taking photos 30 to 45min.
Gary Jones — Google review
I liked the place, spent 10-15 minutes there. We took a photo, filmed a video. Stones, rocks are located in interesting angles. On the way to the stones there are stalls where you can buy souvenirs and sweets. Parking for a car 30 baht.
Ossi Mossi — Google review
Really worth visiting. The view is beautiful and the beach is very blue. Coming out of the rocks we also found some restaurants and shops, for souvenirs. Without a doubt, it provides one of the island’s postcard views.
Kelly Gonçalves — Google review
We visited this place, because we drove by. But it is definitiv not necessary to plan a trip to this location. There are only some 20 or 25 stones in the water and nothing more. You can walk on them, but that’s it. You have a nice view over the ocean and unfortunately nothing more. For parking you have to Pay 10 THB for the motorcycle. I think that this is not an official fee, but there was a sign and an old guy is standing there to collect the money. Yes… 10 THB is not that much money, but if the old guy is doing this the whole day with a lot of tourists, he will get a nice income, for nothing. Furthermore there are only some tourist booths, which want to sell you some overpriced goods.
Max Power — Google review
The place is nice enough to stop by but there really is not a lot going on to be honest. Their are far nicer spots to stop driving along the coastal line where the views offer far more to be desired, the rock faces are wider spread and more sprawling in the waters and their are less people flocking. There is a cost for parking here, it’s not a lot, 10 baht for a bike, but you’ll only need to spend 10 mins or so unless you stop somewhere for a snack or drink. Either way, if you’re passing it it’s still worth visiting to know you went.
Anthony James — Google review
Just rock formations shaped like male and female genitalia. Though the beach is lovely and you can spend your time there.
I went there as a part of group tour. The guide gave us 20 minutes to explore the place. The place is rocky and would recommend to be careful. It gets hot in the morning so keep water handy. It can get crowded so come in early to beat the heat and the crowd.

Tean Island is a remote destination that offers both sandy beaches, suitable for swimming and snorkeling, as well as forests which are home to monitor lizards. This charming little island is definitely worth a visit, boasting a picturesque lagoon on its far side where visitors can relax and take a refreshing swim. The island, located just 15 minutes from Thongkrut Pier by long-tail boat, features coconut palm trees and numerous scenic locations ideal for taking pictures.
Delightful Island that can be reached on a day trip longtail boat from Thong Krut pier in Taling Ngam village (Ban Thong Krut) for 2000baht for a 4-5 hours rent. The boat can bring over 10+ people and will stop at Koh Tean for some snorkeling too. They provide snorkeling equipment and water. They sell beer but it's expensive so bring your own with ice to chill their cooler boxes. These islands have really nice views, beaches and clear waters, it's definitely worth it. The sea can be rough on windy days so either plan with wind or bring medecine if you are sensitive to seasickness.

I think this island has seen better days and perhaps pre covid the beaches and atmosphere were nice. We sailed by and it was one abandoned building after another and the beach had an horrific amount of garbage on it. It's very sad to see the volume of waste that we humans consume and discard and that once beautiful places are ruined.

The location was nice, but content of the event was so bad. No one was dancing in the morning at party where Burmese contemporary music was mixed in with trance music. It was so bad mix musics... that I went back to samui next day .also saw many people left on next day. Very sad..

Best link to mainland when you go south or have time to travel !

You can get cars, bike, or just be passenger.
Service every hours from 6am to 9pm in both way

has food canteen inside.

This is by far the best car Ferry on Kos Samui. we truly recommend you to book your ticket in advance. Recently, the island seems very packed and if you leave it for the last minute, you may not find a ticket in case you need to travel by car. However, if you go without a car there’s no issue in finding a ticket. The ride to Thailand to Donsak in Sahne takes about an hour and a half. Always be 30 minutes in advance before the time of departure, to finalize all the check-in events.

Seatran is a car and passenger ferry between DON SAK - KO SAMOI - DON SAK. DEPENDING on weather conditions there is an hourly arrivel and departure. I just turned up with my car perchesd my ticket on the arrivel boot. Car and 1× passenger 470.- Baht! Passenger 150.- Baht. Quick loading process and the journey takes about 11/2 hours. Food and drinks are sold an board and there are clean toilets. Lovely relaxing trip. Enjoy
. If you have problems to find the place look in to google maps .It will get you there.

Sometimes this can happen....water too down that's make the boat can't park, I understand. But.... we were mistaken buying the tickets wrong day, actually if you can try to help us that's would be nice instead of telling us to buy a new one. But we fight till the end...

Definitely the best quality company, there is a canteen inside. Everything is very cheap. If you want, you can buy a VIP ticket with air conditioning, but normal tickets have a cool area and toilets are considered clean.

Definitely the better choice of the two ferry services that run to Samui from the mainland. The boats are newer and better maintained than the other choice. Can get busy at peak times do best to book ahead. Staff are not the most helpful or friendly.

Can’t speak for cars but very easy experience as a motorcycle rider. Turn up, pay 240 baht, ride onto the next boat and sail away into the sunset 🤗 the ferry seems clean enough and has a small shop on board. Haven’t tried the other ferry service but after reading reviews this seems to be the better option. Everything is fine for me. Good experience
Daniel Scott — Google review
While there are reports of the need to pre-book for cars it does not seem to be a problem for motorcycles. There is no signage, at least in English, indicating where to get tickets, where to wait, etc. The employees don't seem to be interested in helping with instructions either. They instruct the cars and trucks where to line up and when to load, but the motorcycles just seem to left to their own.

Left the airport in Surat thani and were able to get onto a ferry very easily at the airport. There is a large desk with helpful and friendly staff who will arrange for your transfer to the ferry. Lots to do whilst you are waiting for the ferry as there are shops and cafes in the waiting area. The ferry itself is large and spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. Clean toilets available on several floors as well as a little cafe and shop inside the ferry. Foot massages are also available inside the ferry.

We were very impressed by our first return trip from Samui to Don Sak. From the initial booking, entry, parking & amenities on board it was a delightful trip. The morning trip was a bit rainy so stayed undercover in the comfortable seats but the 5pm return trip provided amazing sunset photos & we were able to sit on top. Great trips overall & the price is very good. We won't hesitate to travel this method again.

Phang Nga Elephant Park is a reputable ethical wildlife sanctuary that provides opportunities for jungle walks and feeding and bathing elephants. Visitors can appreciate the close observation of these majestic creatures, feed them bananas, and snap pictures with them without the exploitation associated with circuses or shows. The park's rehabilitation efforts are commendable, making it an ideal destination for those who want to support elephant conservation. Volunteers are affable and welcoming while food is appetizing.
amazing place! they are taking such a great care of the elephants and doing an amazing rehabilitation work. this is a REAL sanctuary, so don't expect to ride one the elephants or to see some silly show. Instead they will let you observe from a close distance, feed them some bananas and take pictures with the elephants. BUT, this is what you want. its very important to only support the places that actually help elephants, and stay away from the shows and circuses that exploit the animals and treat them bad
we came as a big family and everyone from age 2 to 70 had an amazing time

There Are many elephant parks in Thailand. But the work these people do in order to preserve the life and well-being of the elephants seems to be above par. Elephants are well taken care of and they do bareback riding. Instead of riding in a cage on top of elephant. Bareback riding is supposed to be better for the elephant, but also really enhances the experience. It is worth the cost, it is a little bit more expensive. But overall the experience and education is worth it. One of the highlights of our Thailand trip

We visited this park as part of our getyourguide trip. It was a very modern park and after research it looks like this is a park with proper treatment to elephants. And from how we can judge, we think this is fine. There is enough space for them, of course wildlife would be the best option but we don’t know the reasons why they are locked in. Feeding was fun, we actually prepared the food for them. And the bathing was a very cool experience, it looked like the elephants enjoyed it too. And the water was clean, in other places it’s very muddy. We can definitely recommend this park

Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan is a significant Buddhist temple in southern Thailand that houses a sacred tooth relic. Legend has it that more than 1000 years ago, Queen Hem Chala and Prince Thanakuman brought relics to Nakhon and built a small pagoda to house them. Today, the temple has grown into a massive site with an impressive 77m white chedi crowned by a gold spire.
This temple can be seen as the center of the Nakornsrithamarat civilisation. The primary Chedi in one of the oldest form of stupa situated the Buddha tooth. The temple is in great care and there is the museum in the Buddha Hall.
A place you can't miss.

*It was veritably an iconic gem kind of a cultural and religious heritage! Truly an august and glorious landmark for Southern Thailand!
*Locals from NST and neighbouring Thai provinces obviously gave strong and unreserved support to the temple and it's activities. In particular, crowds would throng the premises during weekends and at Buddhist religious events and ceremonies. More likely to pay homage, veneration and merit-making, less so for sight-seeing.
*Apparently, the local-produce market or bazaar at one corner of the temple also attract good patronage and support.

During the time I visited, the grand pagoda was reconstructing. The serene atmosphere calmed down my mind. There were two great museums which are the source of ancient appliances, utensils and collectibles belonged to common people and also nobleman from periods of time to times. The towering chedi, adorned with intricate details and gold leaf, is a sight to behold. Inside, you'll find an array of Buddha images, relics, and beautiful murals that showcase the rich history of Buddhism in Thailand.

Oldest temple early 13th to mid-14th century CE.
Suggest to wear long pants otherwise just rent the white clothes to cover for girls.
Come to pray and do merit.

Wat Tham Suea Krabi is a vast temple complex nestled in the lush jungle, renowned for its impressive gold Buddha statue and extensive cave network. Situated 9km northwest of Krabi Town, this sprawling hill and cave temple complex makes for an excellent day trip. The entrance leads to a challenging 1260-step staircase that ascends to a 600m karst peak.
The temple was in very nice setting and everything was in the proper managed including the parking lot, the local shopping store area and also there were food sold in case you want to have a little meal in front the main entrance of the temple. There is some entry fee for international tourists/visitors but free for Thai people. The highlight of this temple is the 1,260 steps of stair climbing up the top of the cave hill. For us, it took about 40 minutes and literally depending on how healthy you are, some take shorter and some take longer time. I recommend you to try to reach to the top because the view and the area at the top is worth it. It was a breath taking view with the 360 view. You can see the horizontal of the ocean with the stunning view of the mountain beauty which is only located in Krabi. On the way, there were 2 the toilets stops and also there is drinking water tap at the top of the hill. I do recommend you to take a bottle of water. Due to the stairs is very steep and narrow so very be careful when climbing up and use the handrail will be more safe. Moreover, there is a number of steps wrote along the way which will give you a sense of progress. And also I suggest visit the tiger cave which is underneath the hill that we climb up. The overall experience was so memorable with stunning view and it may took you roughly 3 hours for this temple to explore. Enjoy the climbing.

Be ready for one hell of a stair climb. These aren't normal steps either, most of them are giant steps at a steep angle. Is it worth it? Depends on the individual really but I'd wager anyone willing to go there and climb the stairs in the first place would find it worthwhile. The views from the top are amazing, the statue is quite magnificent. It started raining as soon as we got up there which really helped cool us down. Can't imagine doing this in the middle of summer.
The state of the area up there could use a little attention.
Granted the stairs seem the only way up so that likely hampers any attempt at maintenance. Given the scale of construction of the temple at the foot of the mountain however, tells me a plan could be made. That's the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. Other than that it is quite a sight.

1260 steps and over 300m elevation. Not for the casuals. This will test your endurance but it's totally worth it once you get to the top. BRING WATER WITH YOU. I can't stress this enough. Also be mindful that you're visiting a temple so dress appropriately. The views are stunning.

Such a beautiful place once you finally get to the top. The climb is pretty steep but worth it to see the beautiful golden Buddha at the top and the spectacular views of the surroundings. 1260 steps. Depending on your level of fitness it could take anywhere between 15 to 60 minutes.
Coralie Pattenden — Google review
A very beautiful scenic site on the top of the mountains but as it's said a difficult path often leads to a beautiful location so was the case with this. There are around 1260 extremely steep stairs to climb this location and not recommended for the faint hearted but the view from the top is magical and if you are ok with moderate trek then you must definitely try to go to the top of the mountain. It's really a feeling of accomplishment after completing this trek. A lovely experience and must recommended

One of the best temples we have visited in Thailand but be prepared for a long and steep climb.
The views from the top - once you get there - are superb. Also, make sure to check out the cave adjacent to the temple on the right past the main climb.
Would definitely try to come back here.

They are not lying when they say 1260 stairs but it is totally worth it. The Buddha at the top of the mountain is magnificent.
Do take plenty of water and make stops, everyone needs them you go straight up. No regrets I would go again.
Go early and be ready for monkeys they slide on the fence and can get to you very quickly.

This is one of the to go places in Krabi. But if you are unfit don't try it. It has over a thousand steps and some of it are steep. At the top you have a 360 degree view of the surrounding. Nice scenery. Do not carry too much things on the climb, keep your hands free to hold onto the railing.
Angie Fong — Google review
Strongly recommended to come to Tiger Cave for your Krabi trip.
Earliest entry is 6am so don’t be late for the breathtaking views. You gotta get proper attire, sports wear ok but no swimming for ladies.
You have been warned that the stairs have 1260 steps, steps are narrow, about 2km. Spare about 2 hours for this. There are no toilet at the peak but there are 2 “pit-stop” for toilet break. Stay hydrated.
Please help to keep the environment clean. Thank you to the temple to build and ensure safety for visitors too.
YK L — Google review
Gorgeous place, the climb too the top is steep and perilous but definitely worth a go. The views from the top are stunning and the temple is very nice. Few monkeys around which have a tendency to steal but they are very cute. Got an ice-cream after the decent. Loved it all.
Duff Beer — Google review
One thing I loved was that it's free to enter - they just ask for donations if you want to contribute. The view from the top is gorgeous after climbing those 1,260 steps (there are markers along the way to track your progress). I was wiped by the end but feeling that sense of accomplishment made it worthwhile!
Now, they do require you to cover shoulders and knees out of respect. They lend scarves at the entrance which is super nice. I did notice some people sneaking them off once inside which seemed kinda lame to me. But anyway, not a big deal to wrap up for the visit.
There are monkeys playing around on the trail which can be fun to see. And some dogs keeping them in check in case they get too excited. Make sure to pack water and an extra tee because you'll work up a sweat on the way up!
All in all, I'd definitely recommend stopping by Tiger Cave Temple if you want some exercise with a dose of culture and killer views. Don't psych yourself out about the stairs - take breaks and you'll get there! The scenery at the top is worth it.

Worth a trip if you're in the area. Free entry and you can easily spend a few hours here if you're wanting to walk up the 1,200 steps to the top. Make sure you take plenty of water as you will need it. Great views at the top and you're rewarded with free water or you can buy cold water and snacks from the small shop.

This is a great place to visit during the morning or evening in cooler temperatures. It took us around 30 minutes to get to the top, though we did pass some people along the way. Something worth mentioning is that visiting this temple is no longer free and from March 2024 the entry cost is 50baht per person. The views from the top are great and it’s a lot windier up there which is refreshing.
Jamie Waller — Google review
When they said 1237 steps they meant it. The caveat is that some of those steps are on metal ladders attached to the cliff face and it is STEEP! In high temperature and humidity it was a massive challenge.
The view is spectacular. At the bottom there is a lot to explore. Definitely worth the trip.

One of the place must see and not to be missed! Tiger Cave Temple, a place you can come for worship or exertion. Small fees for non Thai tourists.
Stairs climbing are not for the faint of heart. Get proper non-slip shoes or sandals. Small bottle of water recommended for hydration or unexpected turn of event. The view is breathtaking and worthwhile.
Follow the rules on proper clothing would be beneficial.
Sitthichai K — Google review
Gorgeous place. It's not an easy climb, but the view is breathtaking. The steps are steep, there's no drinking water available up there, there are 2 washrooms on the way up, there are railings on both sides to hold. The descend isn't easy either, feet tremble and it gets very hectic. But it's all worth the view! There are no tickets to this, you're welcome to donate for the temple fund as per your wish.
Vaishnavi B N — Google review
30-45 min hike to walk up the well maintained 1200 stairs. Take a stick with you to hold back cheeky monkeys. The view on top is amazing and the temple beautiful. It’s free to hike up but you can leave a donation for the monks that maintain the temple.
Lennard Greve — Google review
I went there on the sunrise. Peaceful place.
The viewpoint with the Golden Buddha is really worth it but you have to be sure about your health and definitely take some water with you. It is 1260 steps, pretty hard way up but once you make it you would be impressed by the view.
Nataliya Burmistrova — Google review
Moderate-hard climb. Doable in 20-30 minutes with good condition. The view was wonderful. We advise you to come later in the day when most of the tours are already passed.

The tiger cave temple walk is difficult! You have to climb over 1200 steps with 200 m of elevation. My husband and I are both fit and healthy and struggled to do this walk. We were drenched in sweat from the humidity. We went here as part of a day trip so we were there in the afternoon. Definitely better to go in the morning or evening. The views were absolutely worth it. The Buddha on top is large and impressive.
Renee Richter — Google review
Very nice temple and for free :) only donation if you'd like but otherwise you won't pay anything.
The walk up to the top is absolutely worth it
You'll go 1260 steps up the hill to reach the top.
Take enough water with you because you'll need it!
But on the top is a water refill station for free :)
The view is amazing and the Buddha is very beautiful!
Just be careful and watch out for the monkeys, they like taking things away hahah

Beautiful magnificent temple. It took me about 45min to go all the way up (as I needed to stop time to time). The views are gorgeous so it is well worth the effort. There is a water fountain at the end, which was very much appreciated.
Marisol Romero — Google review
Very nice place, great view at the top, remember water! Free water refill at the top was empty.
Not free as of march 2024, people at the start entrance changing 50 baht.
Beware of the monkeys, looks friendly, but they are not!

This is a great way to spend an evening. You need to be fit enough to clip steep stairs. If you don't mind taking your time, most active people should make it to the top. We went at 4pm when the sun wasn't so hot. I would recommend bringing water. Lots more to explore if you continue up the second set of stairs further inside the temple grounds.
Alexander Johnson — Google review
The hike is amazing and the views worth it, if you are fit you can go up in 20 minutes or less and down maybe in 15! You should keep you shirt in the temples but during the hike you can dressed as you want, there is also plenty of toilets and drinking water on the top!
Alfonso Sanchez — Google review
The views around the hike look very beautiful. But the destination itself never surprised me. if you are planning to hike during afternoon time, it will be very difficult for you because of the hot weather. You must bring bottle of water with you as there is no source of water or any kind of food above. Sunset time is recommended for this hike. 1200 steps are hard to climb but it gets easier with time.
Nasir — Google review
Worth the effort. Temp of 35 going up which made it harder so consider going earlier when cooler if you can.
Take a bottle of water and wear trainers!
Views from the top are great as are the monuments. The cave and big tree are set back as you go past the entry to Budda and are also worth a look. That's a much easier walk if elderly or have health issues. Enjoy
Matt H — Google review
We did it early in the morning 7am to ensure the heat didn’t prevent us from making it to the top. The view was stunning and worth the 1260 steps.
It’s a tough climb but we did it in 25 mins.
Krabi Town Night Market is a lively weekend market offering a variety of food, clothing, and souvenirs. Visitors can enjoy live music and find seating to relax while exploring the stalls. While Krabi Town may not be as popular as neighboring Ao Nang or Railay, it boasts several attractions such as Tiger Cave Temple, Mu Koh Hong, Railay Beaches & Caves, and more. This small provincial capital has plenty to offer for a one or two-day itinerary.
So good to see so many locals and tourists at Krabi Night Market. The coconut smoothie is not to be missed. It's at the drink stall right at the entrance, run by a couple. There is live music, lots of food selection, clothes and apparels as well as locally made products. Try the bamboo cocktail. Warning ⚠️ it may be potent to some people! Don't forget to get a caricature portrait done by the talented artist.
Esther Bebe — Google review
It’s not a big market but it has many of the food you want to eat in a night market with few repetition. There are some non-food stalls but not many. Still a nice market to grab street food. There is an eating area with tables and chairs plus bonus live performance from singing to traditional dances while we were there on a Sunday night.
Siewling Lay — Google review
In terms of clothing and souvenirs, this market is small compared to the markets in Phuket, Chiang Mai and Bangkok. As for the part with the food market offers a big selection of Thai food. This is a good place to walk, eat and drink.
Mario Pavi? — Google review
We paid to be taken here and back and spent around 1.5-2 hours, it was enough time and probably could have left earlier.
Wide variety of food but a few places ran out quickly as it was so busy.
Not really a lot to buy and nothing different from where we were staying also no difference in price, but they have a great shop at the back dedicated to film memorabilia if you like things like that.
There was a large seating area and stage in the middle with entertainment, you have to be really quick to sit when someone starts to move.
Worth visiting for the variety of food alone but go early to avoid missing out.

Nice atmosphere but mostly food. Some nice stalls with crafts. Vegetarian options more limited but can be found.
Am hour is enough time to get round the whole thing and eat. Bonus is the acts on the stage. Good fun to watch.

One of the better markets we have seen. Lots of vendors and much more unique stuff than many of the markets. The food vendors are fantastic. There is a huge range and very good prices. We tried many things and they were all good. Make sure you find the 99 baht cocktails they were delicious.

Absolutely loved the experience.
There are so many food stalls and other stalls that sell different items.
You absolutely must visit this market if you are in town on the weekend, you will not regret it.

You will find so many interesting things to buy, to eat and to see there.

Nice nightmarket with the usual snacks, vendors and entertainment one would associate with Thailand. Almost certain to find lots of food options you'll like. Some good bargains to be had too if you haggle.
Lots of seating and easy to find if in Krabi Town

‼️ Visited here 2 days in a row since I stayed nearby at Lada Krabi. It was just a 5 minutes walk to this night market. Glad I came here because I got to try their foods. There are lots of choice if you come early. Make sure to come here if you are happen to be nearby during the weekends. There are also muslim friendly food that you could try. I would personally recommend the grilled potato. It tasted awesome!

Nothing comparable to those night markets in Bangkok. But it is the best market Krabi can offer. Mainly focusing in street food and some souvenirs. Not much on clothing. Have a stage with singing entertainment. Can spend 1-2 hours there.

we came 2 times in the morning at about 8-9 o'clock, the first time we met a family of several people, the second we were alone. after a hot waterfall, it is especially pleasant to dive into a cold river. besides the waterfall, there are several artificial pools with hotter water. complete relaxation of the mind and body. entrance for foreigners 200 baht, but believe me, a visit is worth every baht you'll spent!
Marina Zvyagina — Google review
Great and relaxing experience! The natural hotspring has formed a waterfall and few small natural pools where you can sit and enjoy the 40 - 45 degrees hot water and the natural "jacuzzi". Go there at around 10 - 10:30, during weekdays. Weekends are not the best due to the crowded area. Take some clothes and a towel for changing after bath. When you'll be out of the hot pools you'll need some iced drink to get cooled. There is a shopping area and you can sit and taste a fresh fruit iced shake. Enjoy! It worth all the the money and time spent there!

It gets really busy in the afternoon, so come as early as possible to avoid the big crowds. The waterfall hot stream is really gorgeous and so nice to sit in. It is not too hot so you can actually sit, enjoy and relax.
You cannot miss this when in Krabi and you like to be in a natural pool.

200 baht/person. There is one restaurant open at the food court by the gate and toilets. The place is ok, maintained, but can be filled with people. It is better to stay at one of the nearby hotels with direct private access to the hot springs (not Wareerak though).

BEAUTIFUL spot to relax and bathe in some warmth! There was an entry fee of course but very small. It’s about a 5 minute walk down to the stream which can be very slippery so be careful where you step! But the luxurious bathing holes are worth this trip!
Amber Leffers — Google review
The stream itself has too many visitors at once. When we visited, there were multiple tour vans full of tourists. The space is very limited in the stream. They do have large hot spring pools a short walk before you reach the stream. The large pools vary in temperature. The smallest pool has the highest temperature water. Pretty hot and you can only sit for a few minutes. Great to sit in and get a good stretch in. Great to warm up your muscles. I honestly would skip this place if you're not on a tour with multiple locations. Not very interesting if this is your only stop for tourism. Way to crowded and busy to truly enjoy nature and the experience.
Steve Sabu — Google review
When you charge 10 times the price to foreigners, then it must be really good, and quite frankly, it was very disappointing. There are both some walled pools and some pools with a lot of stones where the water from the river is stopped before it flows into the river. The rocks are very smooth and definitely not a place where I wanted to break my legs.
The changing facilities were a tacky house that might once have looked nice.

Great place to spend a day.
The hot stream is really nice to stay and relax, after that you take a dip in the river to refresh. And then repeat!
Very clean and well maintained. Absolutely loved the place and would definitely recommend you to visit if you are in the area. Do keep extra time as you will want to stay for whole day.

A Must visit place in Krabi.
This hot stream holds medicinal properties as it contains natural minerals and elements which is helpful for the body.
A 15-20 min hot bath is advisable as long exposure to hot water of about 50-60 degrees for more than 30min affects badly for the skin and body.
300meters walk from the ticket counter. This place is a hidden gem in Krabi.
Must visit place.

A very peaceful peaceful dip in the hot springs. This place is in an enclosed resort I guess because before the hot spring i managed to get a massage for under 200 baht within the property on my walk towards the hot stream, and then took the best dip of my life with nature! 100% recommend this for an extremely peaceful afternoon. However go in the early noon or morning (9am), it gets pretty crowded as time passes.

A cool spot to chill at if you absolutely love people in your face. Not worth the price but I did feel extremely relaxed after spending some time in the waterfall.
There's a short walk from the parking lot to the waterfall - maybe 500m or so but bathrooms on the way so you can change. There are also other pools to wade and relax in which was nice because everyone and their moms were at the waterfall.

The Hot Springs in Krabi, Thailand, are a true marvel of natural beauty, and our visit left us utterly enchanted. Nestled amidst lush bamboo trails, the journey to the hot springs is as breathtaking as the destination itself, offering a serene escape into nature's embrace.
As we followed the scenic bamboo trails, we were greeted by the melodious sounds of nature and the tranquil ambiance of the surroundings. The verdant foliage provided a picturesque backdrop, setting the stage for the unforgettable experience that awaited us.
Upon reaching the hot springs, we were immediately captivated by the crystal-clear water and the natural flowing current cascading over the smooth and rounded rocks. These rocks, with their built-in seating, invited us to immerse ourselves in the soothing warmth of the springs, creating a serene oasis of relaxation.
The whole experience was nothing short of magical, making it the perfect day trip for anyone seeking a rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was a beautiful experience. The hot waterfalls were incredible. Bathing in them is an experience I'll never forget.
The site was a little sad as far as maintenance, and there's almost no control or safety in place. The infrastructure for many of the buildings was in a dilapidated state.
IMPORTANT NOTE: It's absolutely worth going!

Now this was pretty awesome. Get there early to avoid too many people. I can imagine the experience would not be as good as our if it was packed with too many people. Felt sooooo good to let the hot water and minerals soak into your skin. Highly recommend visiting this place.

We thought it would be too hot taking into account the weather outside but it turned out just fine! The stream at the bottom is cold and refreshing which hits the spot after the hot pools. Quite far from Aonang, so I wouldn’t go there by bike another time. Overall, loved it! The entrance fee is 200 baht per person.
We arrived at about 3 pm and it wasn’t crowded at all. There’s a food court but it’s deserted so we didn’t dare to eat there.
The Emerald Pool is a mineral lake in a lush forest, which is a popular swimming spot. A wooden walking track leads visitors on an 800m - 1400m walk through the serene forest to reach the pool. The walk offers scenic views of waterfalls and the sounds of birds and insects, making it therapeutic for nature lovers. The natural pool has dark cyan coloured water that comes from trapped rocks beneath its surface. Swimmers are allowed to dip into the pool wearing swimsuits only.
absolutely beautiful place that really makes you appreciate nature. was pretty crowded but was still able to really appreciate the beauty of the pool. definitely a must see while you’re in krabi!

A beautiful, serene place worth a visit. We enjoyed a 800m - 1400m walk into the forest to witness the emerald pool. The walk itself was scenic and therapeutic; we witnessed calming waterfalls, sounds of birds and insects and nature. The emerald pool is all natural with beautiful dark cyan coloured water that comes from trapped rocks underneath the surface. You’re free to dip in the pool as long as you have a swimsuit. It’s recommended to visit earlier in the morning rather than later in the afternoon as it closes at 16:30 pm. Do note that there is a 20 baht entry fee for Thai adults, while foreigners will be charged more. Other than that the public sanctuary also has a bird observing attraction worth a visit.

If you see a scene like this, will you keep quiet without splash into the water? Just with 200 bath to enter this national park, you can see an emerald pool in conservation area. With a lot of wild plant and animal.
Natural atmosphere accompanied me through the trail to the emerald pool. Birds and forest song blends beautifully with the sound of the river around it. Various kind of flowing water, some are through shallow pools, deep and areas, also ripples from river flow contours.
Some parts beside the emerald pool are slippery because of moss. While the bottom of the pool is sandy which will become cloudy if there is too much turmoil in the water. The rest of the pool is clear with the nature temperature. Make sure you don't bring any food and all kinds of soap. It seems the prohibited is a management effort to maintain the naturalness and cleanliness of this area. Must see while you’re in Krabi!

We decided to drive to Emerald pool via motorbike which took us 1 hr 30 mins. As per our research this place gets very crowded mid morning so we decided to leave earlier and got to this gem at 9am. We were a bit skeptical in the beginning as we were 1 out of 3 small groups there. At one point we had the pool to ourselves. By the time we left(10am) we saw 3 huge tour busses and 5 vans full of tourist arriving. We were super relieved with our decision. So if you ever decide to go, make sure to arrive before 10am! We managed to visit all three pools (Crystal, Emerald, and the blue lagoon). Note that you can only swim in the Emerald pool. It was super clean and clear. I recommend to bring aqua shoes, mosquito spray as you’ll be walking through hungry mosquitoes! And of course a towel. Swimming is a must! The water was very refreshing on a hot day. Entrance fee has been increased to 400 baht for tourists. Please note that they don’t accept card and toilets are 5-10 baht.

400 baht entry + expensive transport for a ‘natural’ pool. In my opinion not worth the visit, if you have extra time and money it is not bad. a beautiful place where you can swim in a natural pool. The water has an emerald green color, hence the name Emerald Pool. The natural pool is surrounded by a lush jungle. Through the jungle run small streams that come together and the Emerald Pool is the wonderful result of this! Closes at 4:30pm. Better to visit emerald pool first then go to hot spring.

There are also vendors there you can get food and drinks. A very fun time for everyone. The water was very nice. The temperature was good and it was very clean.
I definitely recommend for people to take their families to this place. Go early and spend the whole day. There is no place to lock up your stuff. So leave your valuables in the car bring comfortable shoes and towels there are bathrooms and places to change your clothes . But you have things to see here. It’s a very nice tourist destination.

A wonderful quiet piece of Earth's paradise. The emerald pool is clean and well maintained. There aren't many tourists during Covid, and a beautiful walk through the forest leads you to the final location, which features a wonderful blue-colored pool. If you're tired of going to the beach, this is a must-see :)

400TB per adult which I feel is expensive for what it is.
The walk through the jungle was fine and the pool itself is lovely and great for a swim, and has some fish in there. We walked to the Blue Lagoon but for us it wasn't worth the walk, was a smaller blue pool of water that you can't swim in.
We went early in the morning and were the only one in the pool for some time which was nice.
Was nice to see the emerald pool but unsure if it's worth £20.

Stepping into emerald Pool Krabi is like crossing the threshold into a dream, a serene paradise that captivates the soul. The beauty of this place is almost surreal; your eyes will be dazzled by the splendor that surrounds you, embraced by the unspoiled arms of nature.
The natural pools are the star of the show, with water so crystal clear that you can see all the way to the bottom. It's a tranquil experience, a chance to connect with the earth in a way that's rare and precious.
From the lush greenery to the gentle ripple of the water, every aspect of Blue Pool Krabi sings a hymn of relaxation and wonder. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this extraordinary place; it's a journey into beauty that you won't soon forget.

There 3 natural pools. Crystal, Emerald and Blue. There are two paths. Better to take the nature trail which passes through the jungle. Out of these 3 pools you are allowed to swim in the Emerald pool only. My suggestion will be to see the Blue pool first and while coming down do swim in the Emerald pool.

Beautiful park with lots of well curated trails. The main areas then to be overwhelmed with tourists and large groups. The hike is a little longer than expected. It's not for the faint of heart. Many of the paths didn't have hand rail in place. This created a bit of a hazard, IMO. However, it also adds to the experience.

Half day Natural attraction if you can get up at 8 am reach there by 10 am if you are staying in Krabi. We rented a Scooty & came early on a weekday so the rush was less. The ride here is worth it. You will love the Coconut plantation & Rubber plantations on the way.
✅Emerald Pool is one of the many pools at the complex.
✅The Nature trails through the forest is a walk to remember
✅ Restuarants & Washrooms available
✅Fun while swimming at the clean Emerald Pool waters

I personally feel hot spring is more enjoyable than emerald pool. But its also a really nice place to visit! There are several different pools to see - walk is over an hour if you want to see them. And finish with the best fried rice with shrimp ever!

When in Krabi, you have to come see this natural phenomenon at the Emerald Pool. It is actually the last stop and is not a loop, so it is quite some walking to get there, but it is worth it! You cannot swim at the Emerald Pool itself, but you can at the other natural pool near the entrance.
Highly recommended for a chill day out exploring!

Emerald Pool in Thailand is an absolute gem! The stunning natural beauty of this place is truly captivating. The crystal-clear, emerald green water is like something out of a dream. It's the perfect spot to cool off and relax amidst the serene surroundings. The lush green forest adds to the charm and makes it a picturesque destination for nature lovers. The pool itself is well-maintained, and the facilities are clean and convenient. Whether you're looking for a peaceful swim or a tranquil hike, Emerald Pool is definitely worth a visit. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! 🌿💦🌴

One of the many touristy locations in Krabi, while the spot is good & well maintained its very crowded. Need to walk around 1 km from the entrance but the way through is pleasant. The only issue is it's far away from any other location & easily a half day tour. Unless you desperately want to tick your checklist it can be skipped

It's a beautiful place with crystal clear waters.
There are a few short nature trails. And you can also walk up to blue pool, in which you cannot swim.
Swimming in Emerald pool was very pleasant, and it is very picturesque.
That being said, I do not think that it is worth the entrance fee and the cost of the journey there.
If you love short nature walks and love looking at clear water, I can still say that it may be worth a visit. Go early as the crowd later in the day gets pretty crazy.
But if you're hesitant about it, I would say to give it a miss.
Absolutely worth a visit if you like canopy and wetland walks.
The highlight is certainly the long canopy walk that is stretching over several towers and levels, some quite high up. There's also a nice walk on an elevated walkway through wetlands.
It takes about 1 hour to complete the 3km loop and although it's mostly in the shade it can get quite hot, bring plenty of water.
When we visited on a weekday there were only 3 other cars in the parking lot, we didn't see any other people but could hear some voices in the distance.
Entrance is free

Very well-protected and cared botanical garden! We enjoyed our time there a lot. No entrance fee. FREE! Walking here is a true nature therapy. Recommend to all city folk. Total distance of the canopy trail is approximately 3 kilometers. 🍃 3km is not that long when you enjoy reading all name tags of many different kinds of trees along the way.

Sitio muy tranquilo para pasear y recorrer las pasarelas elevadas Hay otra ruta circular de unos 5 km. que se puede hacer andando. De los pocos sitios en Tailandia que no cobran por entrar (de momento). Muy recomendable

Very quiet place to walk and explore the raised walkways. There is another circular route of about 5 km. that can be done on foot. One of the few places in Thailand that do not charge to enter (for now). highly recommended

Very nice walk (3km) into the forest on a concrete pathway, all the time in the shade and a very nice part on the canopy walkway.
Free carpark and free entry. I did the walk at the end of the afternoon, nearly nobody, it was very quiet and relaxing.
The access to the canopy walkway is by the main entrance of the Botanic Garden. Beware, Google Maps sent me on a dust track in the forest, I had to go back to the main road.

I really enjoyed walking here, very beautiful and interesting to explore.
There were a lot of mosquitoes in some places of the route, be careful 🦟

Such a great botanical garden. Literally jungle walk.. the canopy walk was stunning. The nature, the sounds, everything. Highly recommend. And its for free!

If you're anywhere near Trang then you should visit this botanical gardens. It has a robust steel canopy walkway that is worth visiting. Entry is free and you can spend the whole day soaking in the positive vibes from the jungle.

It's OK, for your morning exercise, walk. 3kms and allow 1.5 hrs, though I didn't stroll over to the herb garden. Arrived 0830, done 1000, very leisurely stroll, what few stops for photo (quick, no posing).
Actually went there for birding, heard 2, saw 1 species, and a bit disappointing in that aspect, but nice stroll none the less.
IF in the neighborhood, why not. Wouldn't bother with a special trip though, and I would bother revisit if in the neighborhood again. Once was enough.
If into plants, then probably enjoy it more.
3 tiera of raised walkway, maybe 50 meters each, and nice enough. Nothing strenuous.
Mozzies not a problem, a few, and not the Dengue type. Long pants worn, and didn't really need long sleeve shirt, which I didn't wear. In the shade most of the walk, but no breeze.

Really nice walk through the forest and a swamp. Best part of course was the high hanging walkway. Some parts was higher over the trees. But some rust made it feel little unsafe, some parts hade holes all the way through the metal. And the last walk hade some overgrown paths that made it hard to walk, with fallen sticks with small spikes you almost hard the crawl under. But still worth the beautiful walk.

It is a shady forest garden. I visited on a cloudy and windy day. It seems like it's going to rain, so we can't walk much and hurry back.
Big trees, shady, with a sign telling the name of the tree and QR-code provide addition information. The great thing is that there is no entrance fee, people can go for jogging or cycling.
In addition, there is a coffee shop near by the entrance. So, after trailing, you can sit back for coffee or have a small snack.

Nice and quite big botanical garden just outside Trang. The canopy walk is nice, and if you continue on the path you get to a swamp with some slippery walkways. They could have had more maps of the trail than just the single one at the start though.

Great place to visit in Trang. Highly recommend the nature walk trail and the canopy walk. Bring water, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, hat, and walking shoes and be at one with nature.

The busiest place on this beach is around the Mermaid statue, it takes a long time to take a photo in front of the statue, because the queue is long, the beach is clean, the location is fun to explore and there are souvenir shops & drink sellers available

Nice airy beach space great for a day out with families. There's horse / pony rides for kids around and lots of small stores selling knick knacks / snacks / sand building toys.
A bunch of seafood stores just down the road as well - great for dinner !

1st time here, love the vibes of the beaches. There are bunches of food stall available around here. If looking for seafood also I would say can go for it since the price quite ok. Not too pricey not too cheap. Would say reasonable.

If you go to Songkhla, you must visit this mermaid at least once. It's at the same Samida beach 🏖 area where you'll find Thai cowboys with their horses offering you a ride with their well trained horses.
Also on the same beach is the cat and mouse sculpture.
There's a history to the existence of both. 😂

Good place to walk in the evening for chilling and picnic. All you have to do is bring your own mat, cups, plates, rubbish bag and cutlery. Along the street, there are people selling food and drinks; fried crab, prawn fritters, fruits and ice cream etc. The prawn fritters are so good, crispy with lots of prawn definitely recommended to get them. As for the mermaid sculpture, it's no longer golden as the name described. The best is just to take photo from far as it will be crowded and during pandemic, best not to touch it. According to my mom, the sculpture smells a bit weird. There are few activities you can do there like picnic, play kite, horse riding, swim or just whatever you can do at the beach. Washroom and shower room available along the beach by the small shops selling clothes and hats, 5-10 Baht per entry.

The Mermaid Sculpture was unique. It attracted a lot of tourists to visit this place.
It was a relaxing place to chill under the shades if the weather was good.
It's worth a trip to take photos with this Sculpture.

Locals say to touch the breast of the mermaid, and your wish may come true. Come just before sunset to get the best lighting and color. And don't forget to make a wish while cupping a handful of bronze. Oh yes, there is a beach with not so soft sand and horses that you can pay to ride.

Beautiful beach to spend your evenings! There are local vendors nearby for quick snacks and souvenirs. This is a small size statue roughly human size. People were in queue to get pictures taken with the mermaid though 😁

The most crowded spot on the beach is the mermaid statue, but there are plenty of other places to relax and enjoy the view. We spent about 15-20 minutes jogging and taking photos, then grabbed a beverage from Amazon Coffee and continued to chill on the beach.
Overall, Mermaid Beach is a good place to chill and enjoy a relaxing evening.

💢 You may need to queue in order to take the pictures with the statue. Around this area there are local vendors where you can get souvenirs and street foods. If you come from Hatyai Town, it will take 40 min journey to here. Advisable to rent a bike, by tuk tuk or Grab.
‼️ This mermaid was sculpted in 1966 by Jitr Buabus, the former director of the Arts and Craft College in Bangkok. It was constructed with a budget of 60,000 Baht funded by Songkhla Municipality and has become the symbol of Samila Beach ever since.

Free visit. Mermaid by sea. Waves were very strong and water came to shore heavily. Worth visiting. A lot of people taking pic.

I came here about 10 years ago. Nothing changed much. But the statue still remains as favorite spot for photoshoot.
You could possibly get a good deal for things sold at nearby shops.
We managed to get various type of baskets at the open area much cheaper than other places.
