Free rooftop observatory at 43th floor. But sadly, when i was up there. It was full of mists and the clouds. I couldn't see anything. Besides, the 43th floor was filled with the smell of smoking cigarettes. However, it is free and the staff are good. Nothing to do much at 1-3th floor.

Fantastic way to see the city and the surrounding area. Its connected to JR gifu making getting to and from the station simple. Its well within walking distance of the Orchid Mall. Lots of stuff inside as well as a study area for students at the bottom. One time I needed to use the bathroom and a kind security guard let me into the closed area before things officially opened as the bathroom was located in the closed area.

Very silly and wholesome, we went when it was very quiet but the squirrels ate straight off your glove and it was fun watching them run around. Great for kids and not too pricey

Some of the squirrels seemed quite injured, and had a lot of skin conditions. It was very troubling, even if they were cute.

Just take 25~35minutes from Gifu park depanding on your pace. Since we visited during golden week, just before closing time, the squirrels may be stuffed.They couldn't eat anymore.The place is worth a visit for family time since the mountain has easy trails.

A nice little place! There were only three other people when I went. Cheap, and the lady kindly refilled my food supply a few times for me. The squirrels at times are aggressive with each other, never with the Giver of Food however. I did get them jumping on my leg/arm/shoulder a few times so be careful if you're uncomfortable around them. The enclosure walls also gave me some great ideas on how to squirrel-proof my bird-feeder.

A wonderful place to learn about Japan history! My son enjoyed the interactive displays esp. the woodblock printing! The museum staff were accommodating even if they didn't speak English. Entrance fee: ¥600 for adults and ¥300 for children

It has good collection of Gifu history. Also many old documents. One issue I faced is the detailed of many display are not written in English (only name and small description is in English)so it is difficult to understand the total story properly as a foreigner.

Local library / community center. The library is upstairs. It's huge with stunning architecture. The lower floor is the community center. On weekends they have a weekly Japanese language practice meeting for foreigners. They have Japanese volunteers come and we have a group conversation about a new topic each week. This is a great place for foreigners to come and make local friends. There are also events held here throughout the year.

Sadly the are limited english books there. However, the library was so big and silent place. I loved to enjoy spending my time there
