I love this place at it has so much lighting illumination to watch at night, that's the reason I love to go there, and the other reason is that many malls don't have some brands which lalaport have , we used to go to Inzai new town to shop from certain brands then we came to know that they aldo have those brand and it is also near to us

It looks like the usual LalaPort but in a small city like this it is really very huge and has lots of very helpful and useful shops and restaurants.

From clothes stores like Uniqlo and Gu to food like Kaldi and other very delicious restaurants and services.

Learn how beer is brewed, the helpful guides will allow you to taste the raw ingredients and explain the process in depth. The facility is impressive, and a free beer is given at the end of the tour with a lesson on how to correctly pour it. The key is the perfect amount of foam!

Super fun! We got a tour around one of Asahi's breweries. The Asahi Tour Guide spoke in Japanese but we had a Japanese Volunteer that translated into English for us. We received explanations about the whole brewing process from scratch while showing us the places were all of that happens from a safe distance. At the end of the tour we got to a viewing deck (160 m / 524 feet) where you can see Tokyo, Mount Fuji and Mount Tsukuba. PLUS: at the end of the tour we got 3 free drinks (you choose either soft drinks or beer). We were not allowed to take videos, or at least we were told not to. Pictures are ok. The tour takes about 60 mins, we started at 2:30 PM, ended at 3:30 pm and we had until 4:00 PM to enjoy the view and the beer! When you get back to the lobby you go to the souvenir shop (beer, apparel, etc.)

In fact, it's a place you should go to 🍺
The staff's explanations are easy to understand, and instead of just watching the steps involved in making beer, it's an experiential tour that uses projections, wind, mist, and vibrations, making it feel like an attraction.
I think both adults and children will enjoy it.
Non-alcoholic and soft drinks were also available for those who do not drink alcohol.
The total time was about 80 minutes, and there were also items on the first floor that could only be purchased here.

(Translated by Google) As part of our beer factory tour, we visited Asahi Beer's Ibaraki factory.
The style is significantly different from Kirin Beer's factory tour, and rather than learning about beer making, the focus is on Instagram-worthy entertainment elements.
There is a strong advertising element for Super Dry.
Asahi seems to be more fun for people with small children.
At the end of the day, you can enjoy two samples of Super Dry, but you have to drink it all in about 20 minutes, which might be difficult for people who don't like alcohol.
There is no beer tasting experience like Kirin, but instead they offer a server experience and beer with the Super Dry logo printed on it.
Personally, I prefer the Kirin Beer factory tour.
It can be said to be a kind of theme park that specializes in entertainment elements.
At 1,000 yen with a glass, you can enjoy it to the fullest, and the price is reasonable enough that even university students can afford it.
The location is quite a walk from Moriya Station, but there is a shuttle bus so it is not a problem.
If you are interested, why not give it a try?

The Samurai Museum in Shinjuku offers a captivating journey into the world of samurai, showcasing an extensive collection of armor, weapons, and art spanning 700 years. Visitors can witness live demonstrations with weapons and even participate in workshops. The museum also features a shop where unique souvenirs and samurai-related items can be purchased, including antique katana and other swords as well as armor with free international shipping available.
This is an excellent little museum in Shinjuku where you can see a great selection of samurai armor and weapons. There are regular guided tours in English that provide insightful details about the exhibits. Considering the focus of this museum is just armor and weapons, it is the right size. Everything is well presented and the staff are very courteous.

Unfortunately the museum was closed due to renovations but this review is for Takaoki and Ginjiro and their help with purchasing my two genuine antique samurai swords which were over 300 years old. Absolute pleasure to deal with over email and helping select my katana. If you’re in the market for the real deal, then look no further than these guys. Massive range of items to choose from.

This place was great! Quite a collection! Also got to come back any day to watch the samurai show as long as you bring your tickets! All the staff are lovely. Free english tour guide as well explaining each armour or item etc. We also did the sword course, and that was very informative about all the different kinds of swords of Japan, the history of if, the making of... we love this place!

This was one of the best tours I've ever been on. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgable and could answer complex questions in English. He was very kind, engaging and a bit funny too!
I wasn't expecting much as we approached the building, but after having been now to several other museums, its astonishing how many original artifacts are housed here; way more than at Tokyo National, proportionally.

This museum is amazing.
It has lots to offer on Samurai history, but also on Japanese history.
The tour guides can speak English and they will show you armor and arsenal from the past centuries. Also they will teach you Japanese history (from self-isolation until industrialization).
You can also wear replicas and pose for photos =)

We had to wait an hour because they are booked out with tours as it is a very popular place. So we came back an hour later after purchasing the tickets. It was 1900 yen per adult. I was very impressed with the way the whole tour was set up. Our guide was excellent, they spoke in English. You get to learn a lot and take photos also. If you're in to dressing up in traditional clothes and getting photos done they offer that as well after the tour. Also they offer a short show which I won't go it to detail of because it was really entertaining and I sat at the front with my heart racing the entire time with crazy expressions on my face. Really quite excellent. They also sell handmade Katana's there.
Fel — Google review
While good intentioned, it is barely a real museum with very few artifacts (3 rooms). The tour provided some good information but definitely not worth the price at all. If you have kids, they may enjoy the star throwing that is included in the tour (which takes place in a different facility). But overall I would call this a tourist trap that is an expensive mistake to make.
Alexandra Hahm — Google review
A comparably small private museum, that makes up for its size by the free guided tour, the short Samurai demonstration and the chance to make photos in costumes. The exhibits are in very good condition and there is a lot of background information to each of it. I highly advise you to take one of the free English tours that start every 30-45 minutes. The staff is very friendly and motivated and will answer an question you might have.

One great thing about it is also that when you buy a ticket it is reusable. So we got there at 1815 but performances are shown only between 1400 and 1700. So we can come here on another day and watch the performance free of charge. 👍👍👍

Loved our experience here! Everything was far above and beyond our expectation. 👍
We hadn't done any research beforehand, just showed up and learned that there was a guided tour we could take part in. Our entire group consisted of about 10 or so people, a comfortable amount, and was so informative and entertaining. Big thanks to our lovely guide who did such a wonderful job and communicated so efficiently in English!
As a group of seniors, adults, and children, the experience was interesting for all of us, the samurai swordfighting performance was fun, the ability to try on the traditional robes was also great, and the layout of the museum, duration, and arrangement of the groups was well prepared so that everything was enjoyable for all of us.
We haven't been on many guided tours in Japan, but this was definitely one of the best we have visited in Tokyo!
Nalina Dessers — Google review
Recently purchased Yoroi and a katana from the store online. Communication was fast and efficient from Gin and Takaoki-san. Items 100% as described and look even better in person. Export time and shipping was smooth. Hopefully the museum opens again soon as my first visit was great. I dare say anyone reviewing the museum is selecting the incorrect business as this one is still closed

Friendly staff and really enjoyable displays make this place a really enjoyable for learning about the history of Japan.
The tickets come with a free guided tour around the museum. Because it wasn't busy when we got there it became a private tour. The guides English was really good, being able to tell us about the displays and answer questions we had about them. Japan, 〒160-0021 Tokyo, Shinjuku City, Kabukicho, 2 Chome−25−6, 1F・2F, ホライズン・ビルディング
Kabukicho, also known as the Sleepless Town, is a renowned entertainment district in Japan, particularly famous for its adult-oriented nightlife. This bustling pedestrian area in Shinjuku is adorned with neon signs and offers a vibrant atmosphere filled with cinemas, shops like the 24-hour Don Quijote superstore, karaoke bars such as Studio Himawari, and various restaurants. Additionally, it's home to massage parlors, nightclubs, and love hotels.
Hotel Gracery Shinjuku is a contemporary high-rise hotel located in the heart of Tokyo. The hotel features relaxed rooms and offers a unique experience with its Godzilla-themed decor, including a statue on the roof and an interactive themed room. Its central location behind Shinjuku Station makes it convenient for exploring the city, with attractions like Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and Memory Lane within walking distance.
Very comfortable and convenient hotel located in the heart of Shinjuku, in the Kabuki-cho district surmounted by a giant life-size (I think) Godzilla. If you're a guest here you can have access (from 9 am to 8am) to a terrace on the 8th floor that allows you to go near him. At intervals during the day it roars and emits smokes from the mouth. Godzilla related goods are on sale on the lobby floor. I stayed in a room on the 18th floor and the view was amazing. The bathroom and shower room were great, with basic amenities. The room was clean and the bedding was fine. I will make this my hotel of choice for all my future stays in Tokyo.
Max Papette — Google review
Super central, fun having Godzilla on the roof. Breakfast was expensive if its not included and got very busy but had a lot of choice between traditional Japanese foods and sausages, pizza and scrambled eggs and some fruit cakes. Bath in the room was small but deep and was refreshing. Comfy beds and nice skyline view from the room.
Frances Banton — Google review
Great stay! Great location close to many things so you’ll never be bored staying here. The view from the hotel room was great as the lobby is on the 8th floor so you can only go up!!
If you’re used to western hotels please do not expect western hotel sizes! The room is cozy and just enough for a couple to stay in. The bathroom was the best part of the room as the bath room is separated from the toilet room with a deep tub.
I would recommend this spot to stay if you’re looking for a busy and bustling location and are only using your room to refresh and rejuvenate in between sightseeing and adventures!
Kelly — Google review
Overall, the hotel was very nice and welcoming. The rooms are definitely cozy but for a single individual it’s not an issue. I think families might be better off looking for somewhere else if they want more space but this location was great. The breakfast buffet was also pretty good, and overall the room is very quiet insulated the toiletries were also very accommodating. I will be returning thank you.
OAC 718 — Google review
Great location in Shinjuku. The hotel is very easy to find and you won't get lost looking for it because of the Godzilla. Hotel rooms are small but that is expected of Tokyo. The beds were a bit too firm for our liking but also understandable that the Japanese prefer firm beds. The only thing that sucked was we were really looking forward to using the terrace but it was closed during our stay.
Annie Nguyen — Google review
Small but tidy rooms, all rooms are above level 8 so have a great view where ever you are.
Fresh towels delivered daily even when cleaning not requested.
Such helpful staff! My partner hurt his foot and the concierge was able to coordinate a doctor for us and organise a taxi for us to get there safely.
Jessica Amey — Google review
Hotel is in a very good location from the station/the nightlife and restaurants. The room is very tiny but as expected with Tokyo. One thing I was shocked was how soundproof the room was. You’re in the middle of nightlight and busy streets yet, everything is soundproof which was amazing. I’d definitely stay here again but maybe a larger room.

Nice n clean safe area. The pillows were stiff tried breakfast I don't know what they did to the eggs but they were awful. McDonald's around the corner much better even though I hate that place. The bathroom was best part of the room gotta love Japanese toilets!!! And shower pressure was awesome too.
patriot 1018 — Google review
I think this hotel was not worth the money. Location is great, the rooms are too small (even for Japan) and the window is too high, giving the room the more of a claustrophobic feeling. It also felt a bit unpersonal and I think I could have stayed at better hotels for the money I paid.
D Jons — Google review
The Godzilla hotel! We had no idea. We thought Godzilla was part of the cinema, and were very happy to see it was part of our hotel.
The rooms are on the smaller side, but the beds are comfortable, plenty of places to charge your electronics. The bathroom is nice with a different shower compartment and I wish I took advantage of the deep bathtub.
The room comes with slippers, comb, toothbrush and paste, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel.
The staff are kind and helpful and they have a luggage service! We sent out bags to Kyoto, 3 suitcases were very cheap and the staff were helpful, it arrived the next day.

- Rooms are a very small especially when factoring in luggage storage. We pretty much only had a single file path from the door to our bed open.

My experience at this hotel was wonderful. The room was small or compact, but clean. The bathroom spotless. The amenities were top-notch, shampoo, shower soap, toothbrush, towels, pajamas, slippers, coffee/teas, bottles water, hair dryer, cotton buds, brush, humidifier. The location was perfect for exploring the city, with many attractions within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel for a fantastic stay!

Located in Shinjuku area of Tokyo, this hotel is popular for the large Godzilla statue as part of the building.
Rooms: If you’re used to large rooms to relax in from your travels, prepare for a wake up call. The rooms in Japan are generally smaller than the states. Though expect superior bathrooms. The shower and bath were excellent and spacious. AC worked out well too.
Service: Excellent service for check in, check out, luggage transfer (extra cost), laundry and general questions we had.
Location: Great location to get to the local station and plenty of places to eat nearby.

The room is tiny... we know that's consistent across Tokyo, but we were shocked at how small it was. The bathroom was a good size and it has a nice deep bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Next time we would try for a larger room. The breakfast is ok, but there are not many Western options. The location is excellent and close to many things and public transport. The nightlife in the area is busy and there are heaps of food options around. Great view from our room. Overall it is a great hotel and we would stay here again, just in a larger room.

Great view & Great service & Clean hotel.
Highly recommend for short stays . Location also at the center of Tokyo easy to go anywhere around.

The room is tiny which is the norm for japan standard, but can’t beat the location and especially if you are a Godzilla fan. There’s many shops downstairs, fantastic restaurants nearby. Shinjuku station is 10 mins walk away, express bus terminal 15mins away. Nice bath tub size and toilet, just wish the room is bigger to put the luggage. Cozy views of the city

Loved this hotel. The crazy and massive Godzilla climbing the hotel with the models in the lobby never failed to make me chuckle whenever we walked past. Also staff were very accommodating and friendly and kept a bag for us till we returned to stay with them at the end of our trip. Rooms are tiny but comfortable but the highlight is the location! Shinjuku - Best place to stay in Tokyo for sure. Will stay here again on my next visit.

Had a triple room (3 single beds). Space was more than enough. I don't know what people expect to do in their rooms on big city holidays, play tennis?, but it was absolutely fine and well fitted out. Shower/bathroom was a wet room design, which worked well. Location is 10 minute walk to Shinjuku station which is ultra busy. The area around the hotel is also busy but felt completely safe day and night. A 7/11 shop on ground floor is handy for drinks and snacks, with many restaurants and shops just moments away. The hotel staff are very helpful.

Tired, sad gimmicky hotel that wouldn’t be out of place on the bad end of the Vegas strip. If you are a US family thinking of staying here because your kids love Godzilla - I cannot implore you enough to avoid this hotel and look at a different area.
They equip the bed with rock hard sand-bag pillows and offer a “soft pillow rental service” through a booklet on the room desk. Don’t expect legendary Japanese hospitality here.
Godzilla terrace is closed. Half the merch is unavailable at the hotel store. Rooms are worn down. Red spotted stains on the window curtains and marks all over the wooden surfaces. Half of the washing machines are out of order in the laundry room. No one seems happy to be here.
I would only recommend this place for twenty-somethings partying in the area that need a place to crash because the location is very centralized. Everyone else should keep looking. There are much nicer areas with hotels that will offer you a much better value for your money.

My favorite part of the hotel was the great location. We walked to many amazing restaurants. The cool lobby was welcoming after being in the heat and smelled good. Godzilla terrace was closed our whole 5 days there for some reason. Having a 7-11 downstairs was very convenient to grab sandwiches and coffee. I liked that they replenished our water daily. Rooms are quite compact, my husband and I ended up upgrading to a twin room for an additional $100 a night, which I thought was steep, but it was more spacious even though we had separate beds. The lobby was a nice meeting place since there was 8 in our group. I would stay here again based on the location.

Located in the hustle and bustle of the city, great location and great view. Accidentally left my passport in the deposit safe but concierge arranged with Kyoto hotel for it to be delivered in just one day. Thank you for the great service provided 💯 Overall, had fun staying in a Godzilla hotel :)

This is an overpriced hotel and super bad overall. It is located very centrally, which is its only redeeming quality. However, the location has a bad side as it is clearly a red-light district. The hotel rooms are dirty and small, and the beds are uncomfortable. The beds also have terrible pillows that are hard and contain plastic beads instead of down. The rooms also have tiny windows but with a nice view of the Tokyo skyline. The breakfast is horrendous, with plastic tableware and paper cups for drinks. Stay away!

I stayed here for 6 nights at the end of October 2023 and was totally pleased with everything at this hotel. The location was very convenient with the one minus being next to a seedy part of town. However, I never felt unsafe when walking outside. The room was small but fine for me. The view was great, bathroom very nice, front desk excellent. I would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel very nice. Room size not bad for Tokyo. Tried breakfast once which even for included rate would be dire - very poor. Go to a local cafe for fresh coffee and decent food.

5/5 stars for this hotel for sure. I really enjoyed this hotel. My husband and I are from the USA and so we are used to big hotel rooms and that isn’t an easy thing to find in Japan in general and that is fine. The room was CLEAN, the bathroom was really good, and there was PJ’s & toothbrush with toothpaste included in the room! This hotel really was a great spot! If you are traveling and need a clean, quiet, beautiful, and also small room from the crazy Shinjuku night life this is perfect. No city noise from our room (12th floor) AND we only had 2 suitcases at this point in the trip and it wasn’t overwhelming with two 28” suitcases.
Added bonuses:
1. They do luggage forwarding in the lobby, but only to Kyoto and Osaka at the time we went.
2. There is a 7Eleven on the 1st floor of the building. (The hotel lobby is on the 8th floor)
3. Hotel room has hair dryer, toothbrush/tooth paste, pj’s, shampoo & conditioner & body wash, with a very big/deep tub.
4. English friendly /speaking

The tiniest room I've ever seen in my life. I do not recommend it for couples. It's ok if you're traveling alone though. The location is superb, right in the heart of Shinjuku. Sadly Godzilla is closed at the moment for repairs so the deck is locked.
Jay Wysocki — Google review
The room is very small, old and not maintained. no space for storage, the windows are very thin so you hear everything from the street. Our safe didn’t work. And the worst part is that they didn’t clean the room, only made the bed and changed the towels. You need to take 2 elevators to get to your room. The lobby is very crowded. The only good things are the view and the bed that is comfortable.

西口地下街 1号, 1 Chome-5 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku City, Tokyo 160-0023, Japan
Omoide Yokocho, also known as Memory Lane Alley or Yakitori Alley, is a renowned landmark in Tokyo located just north of Shinjuku station. This alleyway is packed with tightly compressed restaurants offering affordable izakaya food and alcoholic drinks, making it a popular spot for locals to unwind after work. Once a notorious black market area post-World War II, Omoide Yokocho has transformed into a vibrant destination bustling with both locals and tourists seeking tantalizing grilled delights.
I really loved strolling through the Memory Lane formally known as the piss alley. The small bars and restaurants are full of locals and tourists and each specializes in different bites. I had really fresh sushi in one of the small bars. Fun to seat outside and people watch.
Paulina — Google review
This alleyway was a really fun and interesting experience. There are a lot of bars open late at night. Most of the bars served meat skewers and/or noodles. I had a delicious yuzu beer at one of the bars here. The crowd is friendly and it’s a fun way to practice your Japanese and make new friends. You should visit at least once while in Shinjuku.
Kara Bertrand — Google review
FOOD AND DRINK! Restaurants with 6 seats and everyone bustling by. What a lovely little market street of skewers and alcohol.
This street is the perfect place to jump in and try anything and everything! The staff were busy but helpful. The beer was cold and the food was delicious.
Just peak to see if there's a seat and tuck up next to others for some fast but very fresh and tasty food!
Aisha Tailford — Google review
Very popular eating and drinking spot. It would pay to go early if you have your eye on a particular restaurant.
The staff were very approachable and friendly. There were cards printed in English that helped to explain the procedure and what additional charges you would be charged. Very helpful.
Setting expectations, it is quite small and compact. You will be almost rubbing shoulders with your seat, mate. It's all good fun.
The food was yummy, and it inspired us to try and recreate upon returning home.
A must try experience.
Craig Mason — Google review
This was so much fun! The narrow alley is lined on both sides with restaurants and bars I enjoyed a delicious meal of grilled squid and veggies. Honestly, the portions were small relative to the price, but the food was tasty, and I loved the experience. Most of the patrons were tourists. Had nice chats with an Australian, a couple of Swedes, and a nice Japanese couple.
Heather Young — Google review
Too hyped up by internet content creators.
Place is pretty small, narrow and not a comfortable place to eat. You will not have any private space for dining.
Serving mostly yakitori and izakaya. Prices are reasonable for Tokyo standards.
Best option is walk around, take some photos and eat some place else.

Beautiful alleyway with plenty of bars and great food. The drinks are a tad expensive considering you can get nomihodai at a cheaper price around Kanukicho, but it's worth a visit.

Amazing cluster of authentic food. Lots of places to choose from but decide quickly as seats fill up fast during dinner time. Really enjoyed this experience. You almost forget your in a narrow passageway in among a giant city. Highly recommend for the food and overall vibe.

Great streets with beautiful lanterns and orange leaves. Historical site but also pleasant to wonder through and eat or drink at the many cosy bars / restaurants in this area. Just be prepared to queue if you want a good spot and to be paying seating charge when you enter a place which is an additional fee on top of your orders from the menu.
Kara Harrison — Google review
It’s a nice area to walk through. Great experience. It’s extremely crowded and you may have to wait for a good while before being seated anywhere. We probably wait 40 minutes before we got seated. Not all places have the same food. However, I believe some places do reservations, if that’s the case you’ll have a great time eating at one of these spots.
Elizabeth Juarez — Google review
I think it’s for the experience/ vibe rather than the food really. It’s a short alleyway with lots of small food stalls (mainly grilled chicken/meat). The vibe is very old Japanese movie style. The food is definitely not very good, service is probably below average . However if you are opt for the environment, you’re in the right place. You can easily find better food elsewhere but just not the atmosphere. As a tourist, 1 visit is enough for me.
Jason Fung — Google review
I remember the first time I visited this place, many years ago. I found the how to get there instructions on a blog and it was hard to find. It's funny because it is actually right there. I feel like once I discovered it, it came to reality.
If you discover it, enjoy the hot sake and yakitori which almost exclusively what these tiny restaurants sell.
Visit it in the night, it will feel like one scene out of Blade Runner.
Andres Botero — Google review
Here for the photographs only.
It is a bit touristic given how popular this area has become, but I did observe a good amount of locals still dining at certain bars/restaurant.
Night time sets the tone for great photos and a great spot to walk around.

Beautiful place in Tokyo with many izakaya bars.
Great atmosphere in all of the bars, many different food options, just choose the vibes that hits you!
Be aware that most of the bars have a cover charge as there is no many seats inside, they try to avoit people who stay for hours just drinkin tap water !
We had some amazing food with typical japanese drink.
Really recommend this place if you want to be transported to Japan old days and have a good time!

Super cool place lots of food, it’s just as you imagine it! There ware bathrooms now, mostly clean and good food! Watch your tabs though there was twice I got over charged first time I didn’t know better and second time a local caught it with me and gave me half my money back!

A must try place in Tokyo, it's amazing to see lots of people and lots of Japanese local delicacies. There are some stores where you need to eat fast as people are waiting and the chef is looking at you too. I had to finish my bowl of noodles in less than 5 mins.
Prashanth Achivelli — Google review
We were staying in Shinjuku and decided to try this area even though the reviews were mixed. Yes it is iconic as a typically old street in Tokyo and yes it is fascinating to walk through it but don't stop to eat because the food was awful and extremely over priced. We had eaten in many places before, enjoying all the Japanase/Korean cusine on offer, so it was a shock to be presented with almost inedible skewers of meat and chicken. My advice is to visit the area, take pictures and then eat elsewhere. We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Japan and the meal we had here stood out as being the worst we had by a long shot.
Flower_K — Google review
My friend discovered this place in a guide book and suggested we visit. We were there late afternoon, just as places started to open. It was a good time to be there as it wasn't too busy and we should choose a restaurant. When we left, it was very busy already. I don't know the name of the restaurant we chose but we had excellent meat (pork, heart, liver, chicken) and vegetable (green peppers, onion and mushroom) skewers, cooked perfectly. One friend and I had beer and my other friend had sake with lime. Very fun!
Daz Wilkin — Google review
A tiny alley off main road...we almost missed it if it werent for the pics from previous reviews and google msps! Great local food at reasonable prices. Bathrooms are TINY. You need to take off your backpack to get into the toilet, but hey, you don't need to pay to use them. Huge oyster for only 500yen at this one place we stopped for lunch.
Def stop by for the local experience!
Alice Stevens — Google review
Very cool to see and walk down this teeny alley. Also very touristy and packed. Hard to find a place to eat. Most, if not all food stalls have cover charges. Food was fine. Another been there, done that.
Annette Lowder — Google review
I came around 8:00pm and the place was a bit busy. It’s all but really typical from japan and from tokyo. You will wait a little bit regarding the fact that each restaurant are really small (4-8 person max). Keep in mind that it’s better to have cash in this place.
If you want to take photos, come in the morning or super earlier at the beginning of the night.
Christophe Vielet — Google review
Didn’t even realize that we were in the middle of an “attraction”; came upon this narrow street of restaurants while searching for a restroom (very clean for public space)
We walked through the packed streets but nothing jumped out at us to eat. It was moody/dimly lit with many places wanting cover charges and posted signs to not take photos of inside. I would appreciate that if I were actually sitting down for a meal.
Leiah Shirley — Google review
Lovely little street. Smoky, well lit and what a vibe.
Mainly tourist, which for some is unfortunate. Most unfortunate is the price of food and drinks, more expensive than literally the street next to it. It’s understandable given how popular it is but just a shame.

1 Chome-2 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku City, Tokyo 160-0023, Japan
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, designed by Kenzo Tange, features twin towers with free observation decks offering panoramic views of the Tokyo landscape. Located in Shinjuku, this government-owned complex is a must-visit for tourists. The North and South Towers both have observatories on their 45th floors, providing stunning vistas of Shinjuku's skyscraper skyline and beyond. Additionally, the South Tower houses an eye-catching yellow polka-dot piano designed by Yayoi Kusama.
Lovely observatory to visit for free! The entrance was a bit hard to find if coming from the southern side but other than that it was easy to acces. The trip up was really fast and the view is breathtaking 🤩🌆🌇🌃
I recommend going on a clear day and about an hour before sunset so that you can see Mt. Fuji, the sun set and then the city lights.I will certainly be coming back!

Amazing view of Tokyo City from the viewing deck. What makes it even more amazing is the fact that its completely free to enter. Theres a chance to catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji when the weathers nice.
Max Chen — Google review
Enjoyed the 360 degree view of Tokyo city through the observatory building. Unlike other towers, you don't have to pay for the entry. I would probably suggest you to visit at night for the beautiful arresting views.
Jigme Sherab — Google review
What a spectacular priceless view of Tokyo. This a must do experience in Tokyo. The space is quite ample and the views are spectacular throughout the day. I came here twice and the sunset was absolutely remarkable. You can see Mt. Fiji on a clear day and witness the sunset behind the mountain. There is a piano that brave pianists approach to play soothing music.
Anderson B — Google review
The observatory has amazing views across Tokyo. You can see Mt. Fuji, although a little hazy on the day we went, it was a wonderful view. Gives you some idea of the scale of the city, it is vast. Great place, there is a shop at the top, even sells beer. Best thing is entrance is free, just a short queue.
Mike Marchant — Google review
A great place to go with with free access to the observatory overlooking the sky tree, Tokyo tower, yoyogi park and even Mt Fuji on a clear day (like the day I went!)
There’s a beautiful piano installed in the cafe now and locals just queue up and play randomly. It was such a beautiful place with great views, great music and just An enjoyable place to be.
Paul Toh — Google review
This is imho one of the best places to go to first in Tokyo.
The observatory is on the 45th floor at over 200m height and it is free!
So I went there twice in one day and could enjoy a beautiful sunset, with the sun setting next to Mt. Fuji.
The entrance though might be hard to find since there is a public vaccination center located there as well.
My tip: go downstairs and try the small doors on the main entrance.
Also: North-Observatory is closed as of 2022-10-22.

Great observation deck. Free and not too busy when I was there, even with one of the observation decks closed. There’s a shop, cafe, vending machines up there as well as a good amount of seating. There was also a piano with volunteer players. It really set a nice atmosphere.
The only bad thing is that you will need to walk a bit to get here. It’s not bad but just seems worse in the summer heat. It’s about the same as walking from a train station to Tokyo Tower, except this is a pretty flat walk.
Don R — Google review
Great place to visit while in Tokyo. The observation deck located 202 meters high has free access, very well organized, Japanese style. You are guided at the elevator on the way up and same goes on the way down. The elevator goes directly there, no stops in between. Please be considerate and don't jump the line, tourists might be used with that but locals don't and being in their country you should always follow the local rules.
The views from the deck are great, 360 degrees with big windows all around. Not very crowded and as a bonus there is a piano where volunteers, mostly very talented children play short pieces.
Right in the middle there is a souvenir shop offering all kind of beautiful Japanese merchandise.
If you are lucky to get there on a clear day, you can see very far having a better picture of how waste Tokyo is.
There are water fountains with cold water and also clean washrooms a level lower, very clear marked so you cannot miss it.
You might get better views from Skytree or Tokyo Tower but there you have to pay an access fee.

There's a observatory at the very top. It's free to go but can get very busy after 12pm. It's so cool that there's a piano on the same floor as the observatory where someone can play to the crowd. Such a cool atmosphere. There's windows all around where you can see all sides of Tokyo. There's also a Cafe if you need a drink.
Kev P — Google review
The building itself was not designed to be an observatory, so the windows' frame may constrain your view. However, it's free and you can still get a good view of Tokyo skyline. In addition, waiting time is acceptable. From here, you can easily visit other attractions nearby.
Hoang Truong — Google review
Went to the metropolitan towers to visit the observation deck, it was well organised for entrance to the south tower a quick bag and temperature check and then up in the lift to the 45th floor. You get great views of Tokyo area if the weather is good you can clearly see Mt Fuji.
I would definitely go again.
Paul Cash-Davis — Google review
Amazing 360 views of the city. Free entrance. During busy period there is a queue to get up to the observatory floor as there are only 2 elevators operating so plan well. Sunset times can be very busy.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is a must-visit attraction for anyone visiting Tokyo. And it's a free attraction that offers panoramic views of the city from the observatory deck on 45th floor.
The observation deck offers a 360-degree view of Tokyo, including famous landmarks like Tokyo Tower and the Tokyo Skytree. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the building itself is well-maintained and easy to navigate. There are coffee shops, restaurants and toilets available upstairs so you have plenty of facilities to choose from while visiting.
Whether you're a first-time visitor to Tokyo or a seasoned traveler, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Despite a few small drawbacks it is a 5 star venue. First of all it is for free!! Secondly you will see Tokyo that cannot be seen otherwise. Thirdly you can spend a few hours there to experience an amazing panorama view at different times of the day.
Adrian K — Google review
This place was easy to find and get to, very close to a cute park and the subway. Building was immaculate and workers were extremely polite and pleasant. The wait to get on the elevator was <5 minutes. After a 55 second elevator ride to the 45th floor, you are greeted with gorgeous views of the city in all directions. Best part is that the entire experience is FREE! Highly recommend!!
Madison Jameson — Google review
There are three floors available to the public: 1F, 2F, and 45F.
Floors 1 and 2 are mainly informational. There is a cafe on floor 2 and an information booth and the elevator to floor 45.
Floor 45 is a souvenir shop and the observation deck.
It lets you view the surrounding area.
The view is fantastic. It must be more mesmerizing at sunset and at night. Unfortunately, it may be difficult to actually see as it gets extremely busy later into the day.
It is free so I would recommend visiting.
Sydney W — Google review
I highly recommend visiting—entry is free. If you're fortunate, you might catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji from there. The view is breathtaking, although expect a 30-minute wait to get upstairs. However, the line moves swiftly. It's truly a must-visit spot.
Shirin Montebare — Google review
Went up to the free observation deck in the South tower.
The views are nice, but all of the windows are angled in such a way that you can't really take straight on pictures of the view without reflections.
Still, it's free, and any view of Tokyo is good in my opinion. Weather permitting you can also spot Mount Fuji.
The gift shop has some nice items and is also not too pricy.
Definitely worth checking out if you're in the neighbourhood.
Max Jensch — Google review
Free sunsets over Tokyo! The sun sets behind Mount Fuji! There was a bit of a queue for the elevator on a weekday evening in October, but it didn't take long. Give yourself some time to queue and find the place; it's not clear. Ask people - they were all helpful. The views are amazing! Spoiled only by the lights reflecting in the night shots. Some people are obviously repeat visitors, as some brought special devices for their lenses to block the reflections. One old Japanese gentlemen had come just to see the planes landing at Haneda and talked to me for a while, pointing out the different airlines.
Tim P — Google review
One of the must visit places for tourists for a reason. The amazing view it provides is completely free and the observation deck is quite spacious, guaranteeing free space to look from the window or just roam around, even during peak hours. Honestly enjoyed this much more than Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree not just because it is free but because I was able to get the most out of my viewing experience here.
There's also a public piano where you could get treated to a nice performance by musicians who happen to be on the deck as well.
For people visitng the Tokyo for the first time, this place is a must and, if possible, do it on your first day so you get a beautiful view of the ever-busy concrete jungle before diving in into its hundreds of shop and attraction filled streets.

I visited again on March 2. There is a projection mapping show going on from 7pm and it is beautiful. There are shows every 30 mins and you should watch two of the consecutive ones as they are different. It is visible from the spot opposite to the Chuo park. Please check on Google for the dates till when this will go on. The facility is world class. The management is so helpful and polite. Shinjuku Chuo Park is a verdant oasis in the heart of Tokyo, offering a serene escape with its lush greenery, walking paths, and recreational facilities. The park features a playground and a small pool that provides relief during the summer months. Visitors can also enjoy various sports activities within the park's expansive grounds. Surrounded by notable attractions, the park is situated near the Metropolitan Government Building and Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.
Very nice park with lots of action. There's a big waterfall and turtles. A place where people practice tricks on their bikes and skateboards. A giant kids playground. A grassy area in front of Starbucks. It's just a nice place to hang.

Depending on the purpose it's a good park.
They have many many dont does - no bike, no balls, no noise, don't walk on grass... List goes on... But if you are just want a casual walk, a peaceful coffee or read a book taking in a lovely day, here is a great spot. They have quite a few benches in shade or sun.
Again depending what you are doing its not a bad spot to visit.

A nice place to have a relaxing walk family walk. There are coffee places(etc:Starbucks), you could sit down and let your kids run around at the green field. On another side, about 10mins short walk, a playground that my kid had spent 1.30hr playing slides and chasing with other local kids.

The whole park wasn’t too big but just right, considering it’s in the middle of a concrete jungle.
There’s an area for kids, an area where you can sit on benches and enjoy with a beer in hand, etc.
Often, there are small events happening as well. And since the park is somewhat separated into 2 big areas connected by a bridge, there may sometimes be 2 smaller events happening at the same time.
With the events, people would gather but not become overcrowded (by Tokyo standards).

So many flowers! It was spring in this visit. There were also quite a lot of people. Many of them are doing hanami and having a picnic in one area. There’s juts people anywhere throughout the park, basically. It was a nice visit. Pretty crowded but you’ll be able to find your own spot.

Beautiful park behind the Government Towers - West Shinjuku: not so much green but you have places to lay on the grass, there are a couple of cafè and the contrast with the tall buildings around is very attractive.

A very big park and you can’t miss it when you’re in Shinjuku! Make sure to explore the whole park because it’s very very big. There’s a spot where you can sit and hang with your friends or to enjoy your me-time. Park is always busy regardless of the day, whether it’s weekdays or weekend. It’s very lovely and so many spots to take picture!

This park is very pretty and is a free option that might be somewhat less crowded than other parks downtown. Right now, there are lots of ajisai to enjoy! We played Pokémon go here during an event and it was the perfect spot to play without being too crowded. I loved the great tree coverage and variety of plants in the park.

Nice park, we enjoyed walking thru it. Not overly large and while there is a pretty water feature I didn't find anything remarkable. From here it is a short walk to the observatory on top of the Tokyo Municipal Building

Beautiful park. Well maintained and it shows. No signs of trash anywhere. Wall of water with multiple turtles sunbathing, statues sprinkled throughout, even historical houses nearby. Leads right to the government building where you can go to the 45th floor to see breathtaking views of the city for free. Definitely recommend.

Love this park. It’s my morning walk routine whenever I’m in Tokyo as I prefer to stay near it. Now it has more to offer. Sports area, children playground for bigger kids and toddlers too. There’s also a water park for kids. Great place to go when you’re in Shinjuku area.

Great place to escape the extreme crowds around the station. It's a good place to enjoy views of the Metropolitan Office Building and dog watching. In one corner is the serene Kumano Shrine and at the other end is a Starbucks if you need a caffeinated pick-me-up

A really beautiful park right in Tokyo. Super clean, with many trails. Peaceful, and serene. You will find a Starbucks coffee also...if you want to enjoy a cup of tea, of coffee while strolling. Also, a lovely Shrine...where many locals go to worship. Loved walking here!!

Nice park at Shinjuku located about 10 minutes walk from the station. A good place to hang out on a warm day especially if you have kids. There is a Starbucks and a Dinner next to it where you can pick up drinks and light meal while enjoying the sun, fresh air, space and the atmosphere.

This park is beautiful and well-maintained.
On another note- if you’re a foreigner, be mindful of the pigeons! They do not care and will walk into you. I’ve also had one walk up to me and ask for directions. Since it didn’t understand English, it called its buddies to translate for me (see photos)

Very nice park to lounge in for a bit, nice dall colours too.
There's also restrooms here, not the cleanest I've seen, but ok (especially for public restrooms)

Kodomo no Kuni, located near Yokohama and Tokyo, is a nature-rich park offering a wide range of attractions for kids. It features a petting zoo, pony rides, sports facilities, and boat rides. The park is like an amusement park, farm, sports facility, and camping site all in one place. Families can spend an entire day here without getting bored. During autumn, visitors can enjoy the beautiful foliage around "Swan Lake" with its arched bridge.
My husband used to come here when he was a little kid! Can’t believe we have brought our kids here now!
Great and spacious place for kids to have fun. Well-maintained facilities.
There are different kinds of animals for kids to get close to, like horse, cow, sheep, swan.
The milky ice cream is a must try.
It’s nice that there is a canteen near the main entrance! We had a lunch there before going back home.

It’s a big park that has a few sections. Farm, kid play area, and a few more facilities for kids' play. Awesome park!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the most amazing kids' playground park, and let me tell you, it was an absolute dream come true for the little ones (and even the grown-ups!). This place is truly a haven of joy and endless entertainment.
The first thing that caught my eye was the incredible variety of slides. From twisty-turny spirals to exhilarating straight drops, the kids were spoiled for choice. Each slide brought laughter and squeals of delight, and the safety measures put my mind at ease.
But that's not all! The park boasts a vast playing area, allowing children to run around and explore to their heart's content. The addition of water play made it even more enjoyable on those hot summer days. The splash of water and gleeful giggles filled the air, creating an atmosphere of pure joy.
As if that weren't enough, there is a small zoo nestled within the park. Kids can get up close and personal with friendly animals, fostering a sense of wonder and a love for nature. The caretakers were knowledgeable and patient, making the experience both educational and delightful.
One of the highlights for me was the small pond where kids can ride boats. It was such a charming sight to see little captains steering their vessels through the calm waters. The sense of adventure and imagination was palpable, and it brought back nostalgic memories of my own childhood.
What truly impressed me was the train-like bus that takes you around the park. For a minimal fee, you can hop aboard and enjoy a leisurely tour. It's a convenient and fun way to explore every nook and cranny of this expansive wonderland.
And let's not forget about the mouthwatering ice cream! There's a delightful selection of flavors, and I couldn't resist treating myself to a scoop. The creamy goodness provided the perfect refresher, and it was the cherry on top of an already fantastic experience.
In conclusion, Kodomo no kuni is an absolute gem. With its array of slides, expansive playing area, water play, small zoo, boat rides, train-like bus, and delicious ice cream, it's a one-stop destination for endless fun and adventure. I highly recommend visiting this place, as it promises to create unforgettable memories for kids of all ages.

Wonderful place for kids and children. It also has swimming area which is open only during summer.
There are multiple rides, small place for playing in the water, sliding rides, horse riding, car racing, small other rides and a lots of elements to play with (all for only children, mostly kids)

Highly recommended for a weekend getaway. Accessible by 3mins walk from station.
1.5year old toddler enjoyed the day very much.
Very spacious parks and many things to do even for toddlers.
From attractions, boating mini zoo and farm, playgrounds and even camping. Most of the area are stroller friendly and they even have stroller parkings. Lots of baby friendly facilities (diaper station, nursing room), hot water for milk.
Babycar (stroller) rental available from the main entrance.
It's interesting to see the doodle area and so many talented sketches on the floor.
If I had to pick one point to be improved, it would be the choices of restaurants and food. But what more can you ask for if the little ones had a great day!

Fun outdoor adventure park for children. Very large and spread out which is nice. Cheap to get in but you need to pay for the various attractions. Lots of things to do including pony rides, small petting zoo area, pedal boats, suspension bridge, large roller slide, farm animals, tandem bikes and lots more. Make sure to bring cash for all the attractions.

We only visited for a couple hours but I wish we could have spent more time here. My daughter was three at the time and we had fun riding ponies, feeding sheep and cows, and a very delicious soft serve ice cream. -1 star because the worker at the soft serve ice cream stand was rude to other kids in front of us and myself as well. But disregarding his attitude it was a great visit. Looking forward to coming back and riding the train bus service.

Large entertainment facility for both children and above. Tickets are cheap, but if you or your kids want to enjoy all the facilities in the park, you need buy other tickets (such as the Sun line train of around only 350m). Overall it is a place worth recommending for all of you. If you feel tired, you can have a rest on the grass and enjoy a milk ice cream. I have seen many Japanese parents taking their kids here. Some young students also date here. It’s a nice place all the seasons!

The Ghibli Museum is a whimsical and enchanting facility celebrating the history and works of Studio Ghibli, the renowned animation studio behind beloved films like Totoro, Spirited Away, and Princess Mononoke.
Loved every bit of this museum. I recommend going during a weekday as it's much less crowded, buy tickets in advance using the Lawson Ticket app online! Admission includes an exclusive short film and the museum is filled with stunning original drawings from Miyazaki. Very much worth the ¥1,000 price. The cafe is pretty average and doesn't have anything special. The gift shop is on the top floor as well as the big cat bus that only small children are allowed to play in. The garden on the roof is the best part cause you can take photos here (no photos allowed inside but anywhere outside is fine)! This place is a must see for any Ghibli fan!
Amy Yuka Vogenthaler — Google review
It’s an experience for all those who love Ghibli. You MUST buy tickets in advance, either online (which then show up in an app that you have to download, requiring a Japanese phone number, or you can choose to pick up the ticket at a Lawson) or through a Lawson convenience store.
The main building is whimsical inside, but no photos are allowed, which is a massive shame. You’re only allowed to take photos outside. Upon entry, you’re provided with one ticket (per person) that features a random clip of a scene from a Ghibli movie (see photo), which you use as a ticket for the mini film theatre inside the main building. The short films are rotated throughout the year, and currently they have 10 short films. There is also a small exhibit that rotates their display. This ensures people return.
There is a small cafe to the side of the main building, with a limited menu to satisfy hunger, along with an ice cream stand to one side. There’s nothing on the menu to cater for those with dietary restrictions, so make sure you bring your own food if you do have concerns in this area.

Photos inside not being allowed was the most annoying part, but overall an amazing experience. Definitely worth it. Need to buy tickets in advance they are available at the beginning of the month and sell out quickly. Almost all info about exhibitions was in Japanese so I’d suggest prior research to anticipate any questions. Staff was very nice and helpful.
Elektra — Google review
Very nice museum but not as big as the ghibli park but still it's a nice place to explore. With a nice short movie and a wall to wall sketches and drawings from the artist, it's something to see. Worth getting your hands on the tickets even if you have to wait online. Overall, very exciting.
I Chen (AngelsofGod) — Google review
You have to get your tickets in advanced and they’re priced reasonably. I do recommend going in the morning as it was less packed. They don’t allow photography inside as it takes away the experience for others. They give you a piece of film upon entry which is cool and inside you’ll experience little features of inspirations for the films and how things come together. There isn’t a lot of things here that’ll make you stay too long but if you’re a fan, it’s quite a magical place to see. They also have a short film you can watch which was cute but honestly isn’t too important.
Phil Li — Google review
The Ghibli Museum is a small but intriguing museum showcasing two permanent exhibitions about Ghibli movies that show stylized scenes from their most well known movies. The second exhibition is a series of rooms designed to show the creation process of Ghibli movies. There are hundreds of images of movie scenes as drawn by the artists plastered on the walls. The theater shows a short animation three times per hour. There is also a cafe serving small food items and drinks, however the food options are not Ghibli styled.
You can expect to spend around 1 to 2 hours in the museum.
Photography inside the museum is strictly prohibited. You can only take pictures outside which essentially only applies to the iron giant on the roof.
Entry into the museum requires buying a ticket in advance. Ticket sales open on the 10th of every month shortly before 10am Japan time.

If you are a fan of Ghibli, you must come visit here. It is really hard to get the ticket. However, it is totally worth trying hard to get one. It is not a big place to enjoy. Small but overwhelming. You can watch a special Ghibli video for around 15 minutes. You can buy a limited version of Ghibli goods. Also, learning about how anime is being made. Things to learn, things to buy, things to eat, and things to be memorable.

A wonderful place to visit.
The museum focuses on how the films are put together rather than the characters of the films.
Sadly, there are no photos of the inside as they are not allowed.
The Restaurant had a long queue and the food was good.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The cinema showed a short film which was enjoyable.
The museum is a 25 minute walk from the station or a short bus ride.
You must buy tickets in advance as there are none on the door. It is best to book these as early as you can as there are a limited number.
Definitely recommended and worth the grief of booking (1am UK time).

Ghibli Museum was a great experience.
You can see how the films were made. We went on the weekend so it was extremely crowded. You will have to buy the tickets a week in advance, and they sold out quickly.
You are not allowed to take photos in the museum. The only part I didn't enjoy was it was too crowded with many children running around and screaming, which makes it exhausting to navigate. You can only buy drinks from a cafe if you are thirsty, so I recommend bringing your water bottle with you to the museum.

So glad I was able to get tickets to come here. It was very challenging getting tickets here as a foreigner, but there are ways to do it. Tickets must be purchased at least 1-2 months in advance. Pictures are only allowed outside, but I feel that gives you the opportunity to really enjoy the exhibits inside without being on your phone. They have English translations of the exhibits you can ask for as well. The cafe here was good too. I highly recommend doing your research and planning to come here. Also, make sure you walk around the park the museum is in afterwards!

It was such a treat to visit this place! Oh God, I don't know where to begin.. There is something magical about anything related to Ghibli. The fact that we had the opportunity to book the tickets was amazingly and made the experience extra special! As you know, you need to book tickets 3 months in advance! And we were able to buy them only 2 months before, which was extremely hard.
We couldn't take photos inside the exhibitions as it wasn't allowed, but that made it even magical because you can't expect what you'll see..
The museum is 3 floors, 3 exhibitions, 2 shops, a cafe, and a roof that has the robot from the movie Castle in the Sky, which you can reach when climbing a ladder inside a tower covered with plants.
There is also a unique, peaceful garden downstairs.
You can't enter the museum before your booked time, so make sure to give yourself 3 -4 hours to enjoy all details without rushing it as the museum will close at 5 pm.
It was super easy to get to the museum from Mitaka Station. You'll find a bus stop for Ghibli and a themed bus as well (Stop #9).
When you're done, don't leave! Explore the peaceful park around the museum, it's has a lake with swan boats, cafes, and more. There is also a near street with vintage clothing shops.

A must visit for ghibli fans.
The museum itself is the main attraction. It is playful. Childish. Fun. Colourful. Everything is made from the eyes of children. I loved it.
The exhibitions were a little lackluster, but I guess it is because I love the more mainstream movies.
Either way we ended up spending 2 hours and just had a fun time.

A must for any fan of Ghibli! The exhibitis in the museum are wonderful and brings back memories of the various Ghibli creations. The building itself is quite stunning inside.
There is also an iron to view a short Ghibli animation in the onsite theatre which was quite a great and highly recommended. As a bonus, the ticket stub is also a slide of a Ghibli, which makes for a nice souvenir.
The only downside is that photography is not permitted inside the building. A real disappointment given the unique photography opportunities.

As a child, I thought of Ghibli's studio as a place of freedom, adventure, and exploration.
Today, that pretty much hasn’t changed.
Ghibli Studio was made to put guests in another world. Guests can step away from reality for a while and become immersed in a playground of storytelling and fantasy, which is why Ghibli Studio is so popular and no other company has been able to compete with it.
This was my first time in the Ghibli museum and the staff was so kind and helpful . I came from Saudi Arabia to see my childhood dream and I’m so happy.
There are two staff outside the museum for chick in, I’ll never forget them in my life. Thank you so much.

This is my seventh time here and it is invariably wonderful. The experience of watching the short film is terrific; it would be worth coming just for that.
The only thing I didn't like this time is the Cafe: the quality of the food, especially sweets, has dramatically declined, and that's a real shame.
Still, 5 stars well deserved!
WARNING. This place is a real Museum, it's not Disneyland, so all you people who say "there's not much to do, there's not much to see...", well, take a walk!

There’s not much to do, also photos aren’t allowed inside the museum. But maybe some fans would really enjoy the place.
It’s a bit hard to appreciate the museum especially with the number of tourists inside since the building itself is a bit smaller than expected.
Wish they would add in more character decorated food on their menu as well.
Overall, it was an ok experience. But not sure if I can recommend.

Tickets sell out fast and are only released once a month (10th I think). They are pretty inexpensive but the number of people who want tickets is huge so the virtual waiting room is large. It was a lovely experience, full of whimsy and incredibly rich artwork. I didn't even know Ghibli and I was completely in awe. Highly recommend

Late post. I visited Ghibli Museum in April 2018, it’s a must go place for Ghibli fans! And even if you only watch a few of their works, it’s still a great place to visit.
There’s a short animation screening that changes every few months and I heard it’s only shown in the museum. There’s also souvenir shop and cafe within the vicinity. There’s also yellow Ghibli bus going to the museum from Mitaka station.
Though getting the tickets to the museum were not easy and straightforward for foreigners, but it’s worth it! You need to pick a time slot so I think they limit the number of visitors per time slot to avoid over crowding the place. During my visit, there were a lot of people but there was comfortable space between people.

It's good for kids and adults too. You can see old Ghibli movies shots. There is a cafe inside with a limited menu. Recommended to take your own food and drinks. You are allowed to eat and drink only in designated place. You can't take pics inside but you are allowed to click pics outside. It's crowded as we visited on weekends. IMP: they check your ID card and name on your tickets. You can get a bus to mitaka station just outside the play area.

You would love this place if you are a fan of Ghibli movies. A lot of original drawings and screenplays of movie scenes can be found here. The process of carton movie making is quite interesting. A short movie session is included.
Even the museum restricts the numbers of people visiting per day, it’s still quite crowded. And the museum is small but has very unique layout. No photos inside.
Leon Zhang — Google review
This was simply an amazing experience. They don’t let you take pictures inside, so you need to pay a visit to see the content. There are several sections inside: a movie theater that plays a short film (that you can only see here) every 20 minutes, there is a section where you can see original hand drawings of the team, a permanent exhibition room, a whole room dedicated to the cat bus (play area for kids) and a nice cafe. This is a great visit if you have young kids, or if you’re adults. One of the most calming and wholesome experiences we have had. You just need to book the tickets a month in advance. If you have someone in Japan that can pick up a ticket with your name (you need to show an ID that matches the name on the ticket, otherwise they deny entry) that is the best option. Otherwise you need to use the website and try your luck.

Really cute museum! It’s quite small but the exhibits are so well thought out and detailed. As a Ghibli fan it was so awesome to see so many intricate references and objects placed throughout - even the building itself if so quaintly Ghibli themed; the non-Ghibli fans I went with also found it just as cool.
Make sure to catch the exclusive film they show in the theatre, they are currently showing ‘Looking for a Home’ and it’s such a lovely little film. The gift shops are also great with many Ghibli themed souvenirs to take home. All the staff were so lovely and helpful and the overall atmosphere was impeccable. The cafe was also themed in a nice subtle way and the food was good and not overly overpriced! If you have more time do have a walk around the surrounding park, it’s great for a picnic.
Buy tickets in advance!! And do note you cannot take pictures inside.

I visited the Ghibli museum with my husband, and it was somewhat enjoyable. It's better to visit in the morning, because our afternoon was reservation was extremely crowded and humid, where the stairs and elevators were usually backed up. There was one exhibit that had a full line-up where we waited over 20 minutes just to see a unique film display. We ended up leaving the line to skip that, along with several other visitors too. I love studio Ghibli and grew up watching a lot of their movies. But overall, the museum catered more towards youths and families. My husband thinks it's a tourist trap, and I think that I would have enjoyed it when I was 15 or more years younger.
The museum is 3 floors (4 if you count the rooftop with the robot), and we covered all of it plus, the straw hat cafe within an hour. This included the one time short-film you can watch at the theatre which is a Ghibli museum original. Overall, the museum is cute and there's a gift shop that sells original Ghibli products. The film ticket souvenirs are cute, too. Besides that, I would not visit again unless kids are involved. Definitely a good place for families and die-hard Ghibli studio fans though!

The museum is exciting to explore, but is perhaps catered solely towards hardcore Ghibli fans, which is unfortunate for everyone else. Most rooms are decorated simply with sketches and drawings. All text is exclusively Japanese, making it difficult for foreigners to traverse the exhibitions. The food is delicious, but will require a prolonged wait before ordering. I recommend watching the movie, screened only at the museum.

No walk-ins, only reserved for ticket holders. A great place to visit even if you’re not a Ghibli fan. Get to see behind the scenes of an animation film which was pretty cool. The museum is indoor and we only spent about 3 hours to see the whole museum (including a short 15 mins film).

What an amazing museum! Everything here is themed, from the stained glass windows to the tickets made with pieces of actual 35mm film. Each of the exhibits is interesting and child-friendly, with interactive elements. There aren't English translations, but everything felt pretty self-explanatory and I didn't feel like I missed out on too much. Photos aren't allowed indoors, but there are plenty of photo opportunities outside and with the Laputa robot on the roof.
Make sure you get tickets for right when the museum opens at 10am, on a weekday if possible. We were 15 minutes late and just had about an eight-minute wait, but the line looked pretty long when we left around 11:45am.

The Ghibli Museum was a beautiful work of art! This museum was full of references to the amazing Ghibli movies, and it was filled with amazing exhibits. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed inside, but all of the displays were truly out of this world. One of the best parts was watching a random short film. We watched A Sumo Wrestler’s Tail, which I highly recommend for its beautiful animation and fun story. Just seeing a glimpse into the filmography of these pieces was incredible. We were also fortunate enough to see some of the emerging cherry blossoms in the neighboring park. Do not miss out on this fabulous museum!

A small museum for what it’s Ghibli in general. It’s good. We like it. Just we would love more experiences to have them at the museum. Buy your tickets in advance. Everyday tickets are sold out! So if you were thinking to get the tickets on the spot. Think it twice.

I would give this museum five stars if there was more to do however, for the price of ¥1000 of entry I find that it was a good value. I would pay more to have more activities more rooms, more character representation in the café. Other than that, it’s very cute and if you are a fan of Studio Ghibli you will definitely enjoy this. There’s no photos allowed to be taken inside so all I have are images from outside. You must book this in advance. There are no reservations that are made at the door. There is a wait online, so make sure you sign on as soon as the reservations start or you might miss it. Also, make sure that you watch the free film that comes with your ticket. It is so adorable. You will not regret it.

A nice museum for Ghibli fans and those who appreciate the behind the scenes of animation! I especially enjoyed the short film they show, the architecture (great for pictures), and the souvenir shop. I will say the cafe was overpriced for some mediocre food and this museum is a place you only need to go to once since it’s small.

There is no ticket sale at the venue, so you must book tickets beforehand.
For only around $10-$12 this is a super worthwhile experience. There's a book shop and gift store that you can buy souvenirs from.
The exhibitions are so fun and educational, this is a Ghibli lover's heaven. They have a small theatre which plays a short film every 15 minutes.
There's also a cafe outside to relax and enjoy some food.

This museum is absolutely amazing especially if you are a fan of Ghibli! The exhibits go over the early beginnings of film and show the inspiration and early forms of various Studio Ghibli movies as well as including a theater for a short film. In other words, if you stand at Nakayama Shrine in the middle, the sun will rise at Hikawa Onna Shrine on the winter solstice, and the sun will set on Hikawa Shrine on the summer solstice.
Before the Edo period, there was a huge lake called ``Minuma'' in this area. As you can see in this ritual, there was originally a belief in the dragon god that ruled it, and for some reason it seems that the god of Izumo was later solicited and the temple was founded. Today, the Ryujinja Shrine still stands within the precincts, where the Dragon God is enshrined. Beyond the torii gate, there are remains of a ritual.
The three deities enshrined at Hikawa Onnatama Shrine are Princess Kushiinada, Takamiko Ōmi (= Okuninushi), and his wife, Princess Mihotsu. Princess Kushiinada, the main enshrined deity, is the wife of Mikoto of Susanoo, the main enshrined deity of Hikawa Shrine (Otokosha), and Takamiko Ooki (Mikoto of Onamuchi) is her son-in-law. As is well known, Otomi Takamiko is the main deity enshrined at Izumo Taisha Shrine.
Today, I parked my car in the parking lot of the park in front of the torii gate and visited the shrine via the ritual site, and also visited the Sessha Suesha shrine behind the shrine in a clockwise direction. I will follow the progress and attach photos.
Have a nice visit, everyone!

These three shrines are arranged in a straight line, and the sun sets at Omiya Hikawa Shrine on the summer solstice and rises at Hikawa Onnatama Shrine on the winter solstice, which is said to be an intentional arrangement for accurate tracking of the calendar. The shrine building was built in 1667 during the Ietsuna era, and the shrine complex, which has a power sports feel, is a natural monument.
It is also known for the large number of cultural properties it houses, and is also called ``Saitama's Shosoin,'' but it is not open to the public. The nearest station is about 3km walk from Higashi-Urawa Station on the Musashino Line, so it's best to go by car or bus. Cars can be parked along the irrigation canal.

It is enshrined at the cape of Minuma, and since there is no parking lot around the shrine but in the park of Minuma, people who are looking for a shrine tend to park on the street. It seems that there is a pond that seems to have been enshrined, and it seems to have a deep relationship with the shrine.
There was a torii when I climbed the stairs, and there was a chozuya on the left hand side. The precincts are not so large, but the subordinate shrines are lined up around the main shrine, and according to the explanation, it is better to visit from the left side of the main shrine.

階段を登ると鳥居があり、手前左手に手水舎がありました。境内はそれほど広いわけではありませんが、本殿を囲むようにぐるりと末社が並んでおり、説明によると本殿左側から順にお参りするのが良いようです。

With a cow theme throughout the grounds, visitors can explore the small shrine shop offering ema plaques.
On the 1st day of each month, an antique market is at Machida Shrine, rain or shine! They have quite a few vendors that primarily sell antique/old things including kimono, yukata, Obi, ikkanbari, tea boxes, Edo & Meiji dishware and many other beautiful things 😻

It spans from the 4th to 6th floors of the Best Western Rembrandt Hotel Tokyo Machida and houses an impressive collection of over 1 million books available for both viewing and borrowing. There are many windows, the sun shines in, and since it is on the upper floor of the building, the light is not blocked by other buildings. There are always many people. You guys are great readers. I think it's a much more civilized life than playing pachinko or gambling. I think it will enrich the hearts of Japanese people. Hopefully, if there are many facilities where we can enjoy theater performances and music concerts, just like libraries, our lives will become even richer. In the future, the number of elderly people will increase in an aging society. I would like to realize a Japanese society where we, the elderly, can live spiritually rich lives. (Translated by Google) I posted this because I experienced a bad experience twice.
First, a book I didn't borrow was loaded, and I was told to return it if I found it, even though I couldn't find it no matter how I looked for it because I hadn't borrowed it.
Second, the book was dented, and I was told to report any abnormalities with the book, but isn't that their job?
As for me, I borrow many books at a time, and the books are spread all over the place while I'm moving or storing them, so there's no way I can make a dent in them.
It would be unreasonable to ask you to check everything from the cover to the contents for dirt, tears, and dents without knowing the original condition.
I borrowed 10 books this time, but 2 of them were torn. There are no warnings, so I guess that's the extent of the inspection.
Automatic lending and borrowing is nice and easy, but the sensitivity is so poor that if you try to borrow it twice, it ends up reading a nearby book and you end up having to start over again.
I would like the opportunity reading sensitivity to be adjusted.

Its one of the best stations to me in Japan. The sitting area inside the station gate is really something I havent seen in any other station. There are lots of shops, fashion stores, restaurants, super shops and many other things in station square.

The Bonno Sagamiono mall is an indoor shopping center in Kanto, Japan with a wide range of specialty stores, a supermarket and numerous dining options. It is spacious and has everything one could need under one roof. While it may not offer anything unique compared to other Japanese cities, the mall boasts plenty of restaurants including yakiniku places that are worth exploring.

Even if you use the south building, the parking fee is not applicable. If you don't buy something expensive at the main building, it won't be free.
Even if you receive a parking lot discount, a point card is required. It is troublesome to make and carry physical cards one by one. I only visit a few times a year, so when I was forced to raise the threshold of the parking lot, I ended up not going there, and actually haven't been there for two years.
I don't think there is a future for this mall if it seems to be chasing short-term profits by charging parking lots to keep customers away even though it is quiet in the first place.
By the way, the view from the parking lot is quite good.

As a citizen, I am happy that the renovations have been completed. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the construction. Thank you for making our facility a safe facility.
A new cafe inside the art theater (10:00-19:00, drinks and dessert only from 18:30) with 12 tables. It's cute with a desk with a single board top and colorful chairs.
………………………………………………………
Before the renovation, it was used for recitals and movie viewings. When I took a tuk-tuk from Yonohonmachi Station to the Art Theater for an event last time, the usual cityscape felt fresh and I had a lot of fun even though it was a short trip. On this day, instead of listening to Artistic Director Kondo's dance performance, we listened to an instrumental performance. The performances by various people were also wonderful. The sound of small instruments such as ocarinas could be heard clearly in the hall, so I was reminded that the venue had a great spread of sound. Apparently there was a Bon dance in the evening, but unfortunately I couldn't see it due to time constraints. It would be nice if there were a lot of events other than performances that you could easily drop by in the open space.

Found this place by chance from an ad while I was in Tokyo in April. It turns out to be my most precious memory during my trip. It's easy to get there from Oshiage (skytree) Station. About and 1.5 (?) ride.
I went on a week day and it was a few days before their cherry blossom festival ends. So not much people. Although there was not much cherry blossom left, the canola blossom field are just so beautiful! If there was sakura, you'll get that stunning pink and yellow flower combination. (Come around end or middle of march)

Showa Kinen Park, located in Tokyo's western suburb of Tachikawa, is a vast national park spanning over 160 hectares. The park offers extensive trails, bike paths, various gardens, and woods for visitors to explore. One of its main attractions is the expansive water park divided into five different zones. Zone C features the lively Rainbow Pool with nine pool types, slides, and wave machines suitable for older kids and teens.
A huge park with lots of things to experience. You can rent bicycle and a small train is available to cover up this huge park. A great park to enjoy your whole day cause we will get to see various flower beds, a calm Japanese garden, a bonsai museum, Kids playground, a lake with boat ride. Also there are food stalls available inside the park and luckily we got the halal Turkish food stall. A car parking is also available which costs 850 yen.

This is the most beautiful thing I've seen in Japan. The park is huge and has many attractions and exquisitely groomed plants. But there are also some wooded areas with real ecosystem. There is an entire Children's park, a cherry blossom orchard, a ginko pathway that turns gold in the fall, and plenty of restrooms. It's also handicap accessible and most of the areas are well paved (the wooded pathways are not accessible, but they are a fraction of the entire area. The park also holds frequent special events like an evening fall colors event, and displays at the traditional Japanese garden. I highly recommend it as a place to experience Japan's natural beauty and love of nature.

Huge and beautiful park just an hour from Tokyo. We spent half a day there and only covered half of the park. Managed to see many different types of sunflowers and other summer flowers. We had a break at the beautiful Japanese gardens and had green tea and a delicious seasonal sweet. Met an old tour guide at the antique farm house who gave us some fascinating background on the park. We were told that the park was a former American army base before the government took it over and converted it to a park. We will come again in different seasons to see the different flowers.

One of my favorite park in Japan. You can spend literarily all day here! From family cycling to just a stroll in the park, there are so many things you can do. Kids love the cloudy bouncy area and the boat ride on the lake. My personal favorite is cycling where you can rent out bicycles and ride around the park. The designated bicycle path is so fun! We get lost so i end up using google map. There are some park foods and it’s actually not bad. If you go during different seasons, it’s definitely a treat!

This park is huge and there is so much to do in it and it's definitely a full day destination. The nemophila and poppy fields that bloom during early May are gorgeous and won't disappoint. There are bikes available for rental and a great bike path but they sell out fast on busy weekends and holidays. There's also a little train that goes all around the park and tickets for it are only a few hundred yen. The komorebi village is cool to check out and closes at 4pm. There are also multiple food stall spots around the park. The kids play area also looked fantastic for kids. Great park for families and bringing your dog too!

Almost three months, we have been waiting for enjoying the autumn beauty in this park. Finally we visited here!!! A eye-catching scenery, many things to watch, and for it’s full of beauty, I will obviously recommend this place for seeing the best view of Autumn. I don't know how it looks in other seasons, but you should obviously visit if you want to enjoy the Autumn scenery. Though, you have to buy Ticket, obviously because it’s a beautiful place and need big amount for maintain cost, but I was shock as I have to buy ticket for two times. From 9 to 4:30, you need to buy a ticket of 450 yen(adults) for enjoying the day scenery. But for enjoying the night, which was more attractive, you have to buy a ticket of 1200 yen(adults). Though if you buy the ticket from their website, you can save 200 yen as you have to pay 1000 yen!
Whatever, for it’s attractive view, I think it wasn’t a waste of money project for me!!

Beautiful park. Give it 5/5. There were lot of lovely places to be visited in the park like for example; The Japanese Garden, the walk to the Japanese garden through the entrance (at daytime), etc. But you should boost the park at daytime AND night because in the day some spots are beautiful and in night the remaining spots are beautiful (like the illuminations). The park had boating, snack restaurants and Segways- (available and enjoyed in day only). There are many more places to visit but you should come in day to enjoy the whole park. Overall this park is a 4.9.
Recommendation to come here- 89-97%.

Motorcycles, including bicycles, are located to the right of the administration building.
There are four toilets in total, but only two around the pond, so it would be best to use the toilet near the entrance (administration building).

By the time I returned home around 12:30, there was heavy traffic in the parking lots in all directions and there seemed to be no guidance, so it was a big problem. I think it would be a good idea to come in early in the morning. There didn't seem to be any smoking areas.

Ichigo No Sato Farm is situated in Tochigi Prefecture, renowned for its strawberry production. The farm offers strawberry picking with three main varieties: Skyberry, the latest kind in Tochigi known for its large fruit; Tochiotome, prized for its shiny sweetness; and Tochihine, a rare and exceptionally soft and juicy variety. Visitors can enjoy a fun experience of picking and eating strawberries within a 40-minute time frame.

Great little place. Fun to go with a couple friends and see who can eat the most strawberries! You get 40 minutes for ¥2200. Extremely delicious. The bus doesn't go very often so a car is preferable. Also, reservations are required but can be made upon arrival for an hour or two out. They have a couple of other stores nearby with strawberry themed food if you are interested but it is very expensive.

Best of all, it minimizes travel within the parking lot, reducing the likelihood of accidents involving people and cars. When people get off the train, their movements become disorganized, and the number of people is definitely greater than the number of vehicles.
However, I believe that those who planned it had a difficult time encountering resistance, such as increased construction costs and the unpredictability of people's movements.

Tokyo Summerland is a popular amusement park in Akiruno-city, Tokyo, accessible via the JR or Keio Rail Line. It boasts both indoor and outdoor water parks, including the renowned "Adventure Lagoon" open only during summer and the year-round Adventure Dome. The park offers a wide range of attractions such as large water slides, inner tubing flumes, and various water activities.
Tokyo Summerland is an amazing spot to spend the day with family and friends in a water park experience that only Japan can provide. We started off in the nearby parking lot and took a shuttle bus to the Summerland main park. It's safer to buy your tickets in advance. Advance ticket sales open up 7 days prior and can be bought through the Tokyo Summerland website.
We scanned our QR codes and although the website said they would check the contents of our bags, scan us for tattoos, and no personal carts, tents, etc., our bags were not checked, they didn't make us roll up our sleeves or undress looking for tattoos, and everyone else in the park had coolers, carts, and tents.
There is an indoor and an outdoor section, and although the indoor portion is protected from the sun, it has a greenhouse effect and keeps the area pretty hot...uncomfortable enough to make you want to go outside. All over the park there are sectioned off spots that are marked on the corners where people can put a tent or a towel down and claim a little territory. They are first come first serve, so it's best to come early and establish your little plot of the park.
There are also VIP seating places where you get a little table, four chairs, and an umbrella. They're usually on elevated wooden platforms and a little segregated from the rest of the crowd. They're a little pricey but if you're with a bunch of adults it could be worth it for you! It was 7100 yen for an average spot and you get to use it for the rest of the day. You can reserve one of these spots at any Information Booth at the park.
The lazy river is impressively long and a great way to navigate around the park. You can leave your shoes pretty much anywhere in the park and no one will take your shoes (only in Japan!). There are water slides, playgrounds, obstacle courses, random hoses and spouts, water everywhere!
Definitely ride the Dekasla, even if you have to wait an hour.
They have food stands available and they sell beer as well. Prices are marked up due to amusement park/water park demand.
Don't forget to reapply sunscreen!

A huge water park nestled at the western area of Tokyo. Went there with my family and a group of friends. Based on my experience, I highly reccomend to rent a car rather than using public transportation because it is quite far; bring a lot of snacks, meals and drinks; and it is better to arrive at the venue right before the opening time to avoid congestion at the entrance gate. We went there during public holiday so the traffic was very crowded and it was full house as all the tickets were sold out.

Tokyo Summerland is a sprawling water park in the Tama area of Tokyo. It's fun for kids of all ages and a great place to cool down during the Tokyo summer heat.
The park has several large pools, waterslides, pools for small children, warm water spas, rides for kids, and a Ferris wheel. The main outdoor pool is massive and features a 650-meter long lazy river. The park's outdoor waterslide has a 40-meter free fall. The large indoor pool has a tropical theme and is kept at 30 degrees Celsius so visitors can enjoy it all year round.
Tokyo Summerland does not allow visitors with tattoos, and it's advisable to visit on weekdays or off-season, as it can be quite crowded in summer.

Buying tickets in advance is highly recommended. I did have a tattoo, but kept it covered. We started off with some cold beer, served by girls in the Boy Scout of America. Had we known beer was available elsewhere we would not have waited. There is food and beer all over the park and if you have your phone you can use that to pay.
Like most everywhere in Japan I felt comfortable leaving my valuables is a shaded rest area. Which there are many places to do so. BRING YOUR OWN thing to float on. The lines for things were fairly long. My group and I misunderstood the sign at Dekasla. You can pay ¥1,000 to reserve a spot, which I highly recommend. I did not and missed out on riding other rides. If your in a group though, you can send people to go get food, drinks and bathroom breaks. So perhaps time it around a lunch break.
Let me tell you about the water. I grew up swimming, I’ve been a lifeguard at everything from a city pool, extreme water rides and even in the Atlantic Ocean. I say this to say, I’ve been in a lot of pools and water parks.
The chemical level was spot on and my skin felt amazing. My guess is a bromine salt. My eyes did not hurt even after several underwater searches for dropped items. The temperature was great to, not to warm or to cold.
The outdoor hot tub, could have been warmer. Since it was so hot, no one in my group ventured inside.
When it was time to eat, there where plenty of food options.

Fun for all! We went on May 14, 2023. It is the opening of the summer season. Entry fee is ¥2600 for adults during May. There are three parts:
1. Adventure Dome (Indore pool with waves, slides and hot jacuzzi. The front part of the pool is 1.4m deep so good for swimming. Wave time is hourly and it was quite fun. The slides are also good. Many people brought leisure sheets and sat around the pool like being on the beach. Temperature is kept hot here. So even in May it does not feel cold to be on water for long time. The Jacuzzis are great)
2. Adventure Lagoon (Outdoor Pool and slides. This place was cold under rain. But there was a big hot bath which was very calming.)
3. Thrill Mountain Amusement Park (Ferries wheel, Dekasla, and others. Most rides are for kids but we had a fun time riding these. Super Bounty was quite scary! And the Dekasla was the best part!)
End note: Most rides are for kids and not much thrilling for adults but I must say it is quite fun and relaxing! I didn’t want to ride Dekasla since its very high. But I did and it was so fun and not that scary. We brought our own food and had a little picnic. Please not that water floats and rings are not available here and you need to bring your own. There are shops but price seemed higher than usual. They have free pump station for water floats.

It's ok, at best. For any foreigners to Japan, THEY WILL NOT ALLOW YOU IN WITH TATTOOS. They need to have that written clearly in all langages BEFORE you purchase tickets. For the lazy river, you have to bring your own flotation device because the park only supplies about 10 of them, and they are always taken. The regular amusement rides are for kids, adults can ride them, but they aren't very exciting. The big ferris wheel was closed. The womens changing room was just a tiny space, and the curtains would open when the wind blew. It was nice to cool down on a hot day, but thankfully, we'll just do that in the outdoor pool on base and save our money.
Nicole Coker — Google review
The experience was great. Though we went there at a time when a few rides/slides were not available but yet it was worth visiting. A few items that I have to specially mention and recommend are-
1. DeCasla- we were frieghtened and thought a lot before riding it because we were not very fond of heights and gravitation. But once we took the chance, we so much enjoyed it that we instantly went for another round.
2. The wave- its very enjoyable for people of all age. The wave is initiated every hour once
3. Jakuji/hot spring- There are two hot springs, one inside the indoor area, another in the outdoor area. At first it feels very warm but once you get habituated, it relaxes you like nothing else.

Got the summer land and keio train day pass.
Went with my two children.
Loved the place. It was a little crowded but tolerable. We’ve been twice this season. Once during the week and once at the weekend. The weekend was far more crowded (as you’d expect) the only thing that really changed was that the wave pool was DANGEROUS at the weekend due to the sheer numbers of people in it.
The lazy moving pool and mini kids area are great fun.
The long Slides are a little slow.
The staff are really friendly and having stations to put air in your inflatables for free is a great convenience.
There’s also a small, old fairground attached with a pirate ship and a few small rides which was a great way to end the day.
Would definitely recommend it and we will be visiting again next year.

Super amazing place for all age groups. You need to reach early if you want a place for parking. The water was clean and cold , felt refreshing .
This is the place to go if you want peace and quiet. You could walk through a bamboo pathway, take a hike until Nenogonggen, or just take a seat and enjoy your bento lunch. The red umbrellas are also a nice contrast to the greenery surrounding the grounds.
If you want to experience Shojin Ryori, you could have it here as long as you reserve at least a day before. They also serve soba and udon, and some delicious desserts. They serve from 11:00/11:30 until 3:00. Their dango is a popular one, we liked the mitarashi and the kurumi miso.

(Translated by Google) It was a temple with a sense of scale that gave you an Indian feel, with the principal image of a cow head (gozu). We were in the middle of re-thatching the thatched roof of the main temple, and I can't help but imagine how difficult it would be to pass on this precious architectural culture. I feel a sense of awe as we continue to weave. There is a grass ring at the entrance to the parking lot, but we also shared the joy of passing through the grass ring on the mountain path up to the main hall.
Additionally, from the observation deck next to the main hall, you can enjoy a clear view of Shinjuku's skyscrapers.

This temple is one of the few sacred places that is still worshiped today because it did not follow the stupid policy (order) of anti-Buddhism by the new Meiji government and maintained the syncretism of Shinto and Buddhism, a form of faith unique to Japan.
The large precincts have a bell tower near the top of the back mountain, and are visited by many hikers.
As the name suggests, the contrast between the bamboo forest, autumn leaves, ginkgo trees, and miscellaneous trees is beautiful, and from the hill you can see the Shinjuku Fukutoshin Buildings and Asakusa Sky Tree in the distance.

I stopped by during a day camp in Naguri.
If you're going around that area, it's worth a visit. If the weather is good, you can see all the way to the city center from the observation deck.
There are a lot of maple trees planted there, so I thought I'd go there in the fall next time.
If you are driving, you will pass through a very narrow road, so be careful when passing each other.

I stopped by during a hike.
It was a little difficult to walk from the direction of Agano Station.
It seems to be dedicated to Emperor Gozu, and there is a carving that looks like a cow on the wooden pillar.
There is also a rest area on the premises that is famous for its dango (dango), making it the most suitable place to rest in this area.

By reservation, you can enjoy vegetarian cuisine accompanied by a lecture by the chief priest. It's interesting and worth experiencing at least once. Next time, I want to go eat regular Sasa Soba.
